Great amount of work in such a short amount of time. Lot of depth in both mechanics and the story. The polish is also nice with only a small mistake every now and then. Well done!

Surprisingly complete. Good job guys!
Really cool graphics and music!! And the chairs animation is lovely.
Wonderfully animated and voiced! Also, the chairs spin. unreal.
Absolutely excellent game! Lots of attention to detail such as the reflections, the spinning chairs and moving plants, etc. Great voice acting and whatnot as well. Top notch. :)
One word - **Briliant**
Loved small touches like blod footprins, screenshakes etc.
Voice narrator - <3
It's always surprising to see such a fleshed out game as a Ludum Dare submission ! The voice acting is absolutely top notch, and along a lot of little details, result in a very nice atmosphere.
Unfortunately, the gameplay feels a little bit behind in comparison, almost like it's here just to satisfy the theme ...
Anyway, congratz for the submission !
good job :)
I really liked all the little things, like the footprints, the reflections, the chairs, etc.
The voice acting is really, really nice too. It was nice that I could listen to the clips but still go on playing.
Great job, guys!
An interesting game with a kind of mechanics. I put a rating) Please rating and me, thanks in advance)
Tremendously polished! Great work especially on the music, sound, writing, and oh my goodness your voice talent!
Loved to listen to every single text log. Writing was funny and well voiced. Lovely detail, well drawn art, great music.
Tip top work!
Game was amazing! I got sad when I reached the end, 'cause I wanted more of it. So good.
YO! This was sick, aside from some weird texture glitches (which may have just been on my end since I'm playing on my laptop at 4am lol) this game has some SERIOUS potential for a fully fleshed out release. The story had me captivated while the puzzle elements were inventive enough that I didn't just breeze right through it. Definitely a solid foundation for something super rad. 10/10 great jam!!! :D
Wow, this is so totally complete! It has multiple mechanics, multiple enemies, a story, and a bunch of nice extra features like the notes and terminals!
Really well done. I enjoyed all of it, the story, the gameplay, and I felt like the length of it was just about right. Art and music were in sync the rest of the vision of the game and it all came together really well.
Normally I'd offer a couple of critiques but really nothing got in my way... no splinters.
Great entry. Release the frogs!
Where to start... Let's say.. Right! Let's start with the voiceover. :) Since it's basically the first thing we really notice in the game.^^ Great stuff there. Your actors have really pleasing voices, I've listened to the different notes with attention, even for me (not a native speaker) it was really clear and well said. The audio quality of the records is top. I'll continue on the audio topic with the music, it's also pretty good, catchy and puts you in the right mood. The sfx are great too, you even thought about adding some for the menu. As a whole, the audio part fits well with the game. Then.. the gameplay / game mechanics. The controls are correct. I didn't encounter any bug or problem whatsoever. Everything went smoothly from start til end. The way you interact with the environment is really well thought and made. It's quick, intuitive and simply but nicely animated. You understand instantly what thing does what (the particles being a great help there). The fact that you have to use the three powers at the end, the acid you have to freeze, etc.. refreshing stuff (if I may :p). Putting a detail like the chairs or flowers that you can move is a fun little addition. The graphics now!^^ As for the other things they're pretty neat (My poor vocabulary.. I'm running out of adjectives, I'm really sorry for the repetitions), especially the scenery and items. The terminals' design is cool. As for the texts (written / audio), they're well written, even the cake recipe. :p Oh, and reading the notes, I saw that there were cool people since they played DnD.
Anyway, great job and well polished game! It's most certainly the best LUA game I played all those LDs, and I had great fun playing it.
There are a few bugs (small things like being able to interact with things through walls), but they didn't break the game, and I only found them because I was actively seeing if it would work.
This game has a ton of narrative in it for a game jam game! Nice work creating a really good atmosphere. Mechanics are simple to understand and felt pretty good overall. I did feel the hitboxes for projectiles were a little harsh on the player (Got hit a lot when I felt I shouldn't have, at least from a beat 'em up perspective)
Overall a super clean game -- great work!
The narrator saying "number 13 found a note" every time gets a bit annoying. Also I think the movement would feel nicer if it was normalized and had constant movement when walking in a straight line and diagonally. Other than that the game is very well made, nice use of the theme, excellent voice acting and a simple but effective gameplay loop.
@bizbud Thanks for playing the game <3
The bit about the recurring "found a note" dialogue is something I was aware of when writing but, without a system that knows if you have picked up notes before, it isn't easily avoided. To mitigate the issue, I had slightly different narrator dialogue for each note but, I would have liked to have the dialogue change based on notes you had found previously. However, it was outside the already large scope of this LD entry.
If this ever is made into a full game, it is something I would change, for sure.
Allright, so you guys have created a complete, story-oriented action game in 3 days?? Awesome mood, complete UI, eerie audio, voice acting, great music, terminal UI, shaders, cool mechanics, superb writing, mirror effect, footsteps, shadow effect, physic interaction with objects, multiple levels, cheesecake <3, cool animations and pixel art, and a boss fight! Phew, it's long even to list them all, yet you had to create all of these in such a short time... You can be proud, guys. This is a very solid entry! Also, Löve <3
RELEASE THE FROGS! Good job! Loved the design of 13, especially the illustration on the menu. I also liked the hint box mechanic and loooved the lighting exposure deal.
Wow, I played the entire game, and what a production you made. That's really impressive for a 72h gamejam. The result is very polish. The gameplay works well, maybe it need more of a "sacrifice" mecanics. Anyway that's excellent work good job.
@simon-rahnasto Thank you for sharing this! I was truly blow away by the sheer level of polish in a gamejam game! Your team is one to keep coming back to, I feel! I lost my shit when the chairs swiveled, even!
Here is me playing it, and I did make it to the end! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Uz-CrNXh2L4
On top of the feedback above, it would help a lot if you could reach the "options" screen to adjust sound while paused in the game. When I first launched the game, I thought the cool background music was too quiet, so I upped it, but then I couldn't hear the quieter voiceovers. I had to exit to the menu to adjust this, which broke the flow of my "first 30 seconds" into your game.
Nice voice acting! I included it in my compilation video series of games from the Ludum Dare, if you’d like to take a look :) https://youtu.be/8e_nn2L0xnc
Very nice game, I appreciated an effort with a voice acting, it improves a mood. The gameplay was smooth and the idea was fun.
Sometimes controls feel awkward and hard to manage because when I want to shoot I sometime have a pointer over the items and cannot do it.
Late but still: Here's my play-through of Lucky Number 13. Spoiler: I liked it :) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3aYL5ijy2AA
