| Oct 20 15:45:58 | Movable Type Printing | ♥ 1 | Sorry, I have no idea how this game works. | |
| Oct 20 15:53:17 | 7m 19s | Mirai Voices | ♥ 1 | UI broken. I cant click on the start and main menu button. |
| Oct 20 16:08:50 | 15m 33s | I Got Isekai’d Into a Dance Game World! ♪(๑ᴖ◡ᴖ๑)♪ | ♥ 1 | I downloaded a version of the game where texts are wrong, where all lower body key shows E. Please fix it. Overall I find the game too easy, thus unappealing. I see you showed some horror image in the description, and I was not able to reach that far in the game. |
| Oct 20 16:16:56 | 8m 06s | Blackwater | ♥ 1 | Great graphics and physics! I find it difficult to shoot from the right, and did not complete the game, but it was a wonderful experience. |
| Oct 20 16:51:48 | 34m 52s | CARDKID | ♥ 0 | Insanely well polished games. The vibes are great and the gameplay was smooth. However, as other comments states, this does not feel like made during the jam. Also, the celeste copy was a mess. the original uses space to jump for a reason. This is evidence that the game is AI-generated. I do not oppose the use of AI, but PLEASE spend some time checking the generated content, and try to create more creative things. |
| Oct 20 17:16:56 | 25m 08s | Floppy Defrag | ♥ 1 | Huge fan of sokoban games. Not sure if it's a bug-in level 9, I pushed the bottom box down and it appeared on the left up corner. Also, there being few levels regarding your own design, I actually almost wanted to quit the game cause it felt like a copy of the original. Currently the levels are simple, I look forward to see more challenging levels. BTW, lack of revert function make playing the game frustrating. |
| Oct 20 17:23:59 | 7m 03s | Meow Bomb! | ♥ 3 | Mouse sensitivity was too high, and I could not find how to adjust it. Not sure what the purpose it, but the visuals look great. |
| Oct 20 17:36:30 | 12m 31s | Insert Disc 2 | ♥ 0 | Nice graphics and love the idea. I haven't finished the game cause the character moves so slow, but the idea of putting puzzles in different discs is amazing. |
| Oct 20 17:50:13 | 13m 43s | MiniRPG | ♥ 1 | Nice visual! Got to level 10 and not sure what to do next, but the idea of using ASCII is great |
| Oct 20 17:59:31 | 9m 18s | Subvivor | ♥ 3 | Cool gameplay! Finished level 3, and I'll try to find time to beat the game. |
| Oct 20 18:10:04 | 10m 33s | Old Printer Extraction | ♥ 1 | Love the hand-drawn art style, but the gameplay seemed confusing, as people just randomly leave their seats and walk around. In one try, almost all of them crashed into each other and got stuck, but I got caught because one suddenly decided to turn around. |
| Oct 21 01:44:47 | 7h 34m | No Replacements | ♥ 0 | Finished the game! Smooth repairment experience. A bit confused at first, cause for "next" and "previous" you must click on the text to work, but I love the idea. Did not pay much attention on the dialog, cause it is a bit too much compared to actual play time, but the UI style blends in well. |
| Oct 21 02:16:45 | 31m 58s | Forgotten Tech | ♥ 0 | Failed to finish the game lol. All the tiles look the same, which makes it hard to distinguish, and cost me more time to figure out which one to adjust. Also, the parts overlap, making it even more difficult to tell. Personally, I think a larger map would be of help, since I can put some tiles apart and figure out part of the puzzle. Apart from the difficulties, the idea and the graphics are great, I just wish the game could be more friendly. |
| Oct 21 02:36:51 | 20m 06s | THE LAST WORD | ♥ 3 | WOW... Fantastic art style!!! Same goes for the gameplay. I find it hard to keep track of the dialogs though, cause they kept interrupting me in the beginning, and I didn't realize they can affect the plot. A notebook keeping track of what had happened would be great, and the frequency of conversation could be reduced, giving more time for core gameplay. |
| Oct 21 02:46:22 | 9m 31s | Rotabot | ♥ 1 | A simple but fun game. Took some time to figure out how the game works, but as soon as I figured it out, I realized there is a sure-to-win solution. So it became clear I just need to do certain moves and I will win in the 4th move. The impossible level also just reduces the time, making the game too easy for me. |
| Oct 21 03:00:08 | 13m 46s | The last ember | ♥ 1 | Got to day 4 and did not continue. From the first 3-day experience, I was not expecting more content. The game reminds me of the original version of Hollow Knight, where you just collect stuff to stay alive. However, I did not feel a difficult curve in this game, and the days are long and exhausting: I collected enough wood and there still is more on the ground. |
| Oct 21 03:46:12 | 46m 04s | Rewind Descent | ♥ 1 | I find the idea and design quite amusing, but the mechanics are separated, as the attacks don't make much sense. Too much information and mechanics stuffed into the beginning, and I can only try to understand them by reading the texts...AT ONCE. If the game gradually progresses, unlocking new mechanics and messages teaching them, it would be a much more smooth experience. |
| Oct 21 04:57:41 | 1h 11m | Nimkip and the Quest to Build an Airship | ♥ 2 | Nice Game! Though, I find that it took a long time for one single turn, but the experience is pretty plain. I did not notice the resources needed to upgrade, so I wasted some time keep mining. Also, there were soon so many Nimkips that seemed unnecessary. Generally, it feels like a good experience, the graphics are great, I just hoped to see more things during the process. |
| Oct 21 07:19:15 | 2h 21m | Observatory 85 | ♥ 1 | Felt sick after climbing up the ladder. From what I experienced, the graphics are great and the gameplay runs smoothly. Great gameplay design! |
| Oct 21 11:03:33 | 3h 44m | Oldie | ♥ 0 | Cozy atmosphere, and simple but interesting gameplay. FYI, I encountered a bug where the current level suddenly ended, and everything just disappeared. |
| Oct 21 11:09:44 | 6m 11s | When the Skies Were Young | ♥ 2 | Cool gameplay, but too hard for me. |
| Oct 21 11:16:26 | 6m 42s | Stone me! | ♥ 1 | I like the voice acting, but I can't figure out what to do after level 1... I guess this is what you mean by "failed to provide a playable build"? From what's currently playable, I think the mechanics seem promising. |
To be honest, I feel like RPG isn’t a very common genre in game jams, and it’s not really the type of game I personally enjoy. Normally I tend to look for interesting gameplay ideas, so I only rated Overall and Innovation. I gave a relatively low score for Innovation, and I hope you can understand. That said, from the comments it’s clear that you put a lot of thought into the story, and the game is quite polished, so I still gave a fairly high Overall score. |
| Oct 21 11:41:43 | 9m 49s | Night Shift | ♥ 0 | Interesting twist how a minigame turned into a horror game. The horror elements are actually well done — the atmosphere land effectively. That said, to me the former part is more interesting, and I personally tend to prefer unique gameplay ideas over horror content. Still, nice work on making the horror section effective. |
| Oct 21 11:52:37 | 10m 54s | Agressive Tendencies | ♥ 1 | Looks like you used old tech to create a game about old tech LOL. The idea and graphics are fantastic, but not a big fan of the dead end level design. It's truly frustrating when I walk into a dead end and can not go back. Other than that, great game and the most interesting idea I've seen so far. |
| Oct 21 12:08:02 | 15m 25s | Apteka | ♥ 3 | The game looks insane! I did not go that far into the game though, cause there already were so many things to choose in the beginning. I'd appreciate it if you only make some of the meds available first, to help me get a basic understanding of the gameplay. |
| Oct 21 12:24:10 | 16m 08s | Disk Risk | ♥ 0 | The game seems a bit confusing to me... when do I fail and when do I win? I did not understand the mechanics at first and kept collecting data. The UI showed -1000 and still was not over. |
| Oct 22 15:02:13 | 26h 38m | Sputnik-1 | ♥ 0 | I was honestly stunned at first glance. The game looks great, but even though I tried to understand how the game works, I was already stuck on the starting page... I tried the training button, but had no idea what I was getting into. There’s too much text(Same problem with my own game, BTW.), and as a non-native English speaker, the small and pixel style font made it even worse. I can tell a lot of effort went into building the systems, and the graphics and UI look incredible, but I was flooded with too much text that was hard to read and comprehend. A more gradual introduction to the modules, interactions, would help, I think. I tried to do that in my game too, but apparently it wasn’t enough. I’d be curious to hear what you think? |
| Oct 22 15:24:14 | 22m 01s | Switchboard Operator | ♥ 0 | Great game! I like how the tickets show priorities in order, and how the lines turn dark as calls end. (I didn’t notice that at first, though.) However, the font made B/E and C/G look alike, and it took me a while to figure that out — I kept thinking I’d misunderstood something. Also, I’d appreciate it if the plugs could fit into the holes when they match. As others mentioned, the repeated callers could be a little frustrating. Apart from that, I had a great time playing, and I picked up the mechanics quickly enough. BTW, I noticed some comments you made in other games concerning AI usage. We used AI assistance during development and would like to hear your thoughts. |
| Oct 22 15:40:40 | 16m 26s | Pocket Pet Day Care | ♥ 1 | Nice idea using digital pets for the theme! I did notice that the pets stay in the same place in the basket, and some get partially hidden behind others, so they're hard to reach. Otherwise, good work! |
| Oct 22 16:16:42 | 36m 02s | Rail Mania | ♥ 1 | Really cool puzzle game! I stopped at level 7, where I ended up using one extra step. I love puzzle games, but finding the optimal solution was getting a little hard for me. A couple of small gameplay suggestions: Add a fast-forward option for the animations. For each step, simply let the player choose the rail and decide which carts to take with them (clicking the engine would mean leaving with no carts). This might make the controls more user-friendly. |
| Oct 22 16:42:26 | 25m 44s | Long Wave Home | ♥ 0 | Nice little game but with poor control design. I didn't know I could press O to dash, so I got stuck for a while. When you unlock a new ability, it might help to keep the UI prompt on screen for a while. Also, I was hoping for more levels that focus on the abilities-The abilities themselves feel underutilized — after unlocking one, there are only a few small levels for it, and they don’t interact with each other much. |
| Oct 22 16:50:44 | 8m 18s | Raytracer | ♥ 0 | Cool game design, cool graphics and cool outcome! Love it when you give me a picture of my random drawing. The game itself is quite challenging, but I had a great time even though I end up 0% for most levels. |
| Oct 22 17:20:51 | 30m 07s | Water Reel Eef | ♥ 1 | e1ab5a3b-59f9-4a39-9ecb-aba3cf891883.png I finished the pipes first, and then just waited for the bar to fill. Not sure if this is the intended way to play this game, but I managed to do this despite the random pieces given. |
| Oct 23 03:24:30 | 10h 03m | ToM | ♥ 1 | Fauxcache I guess? Took me a while to realize the opponent doesn't actually deal damage "in order", they deal the same order as your decision. Probably best to change the introduction you have. Game itself is pretty simple, and not that well designed, as the puzzle can be unsolvable. I guess the point is the dev tool you made? Not really familiar with the Game Boy thing, but I appreciate the effort to make such a tool, which is innovative enough and fits the theme well. |
