I gave it a try, and honestly I perceived how much effort you put into this. First of all, congrats for the result! I have found particularly innovative the creativity in the process. Cool music and the art-concept was also kinda illustrative! ^^

Nice graphics and love the idea. I haven't finished the game cause the character moves so slow, but the idea of putting puzzles in different discs is amazing.

I loved the concept—man, those game cartridges really bring back memories! I'm so mad I farmed 99 coins for nothing in the jump, but the experience was a lot of fun, haha!

Very cool concept. The music pierced my ear a bit too much :D But overall very solid. I got a bit stuck with the 99 coin not realizing i can burn the bushes.

Such a cool mechanic that you managed to explore really well in such a small game. The retro aesthetic is nailed also. I think the game was quite slow overall though, if it were paced a bit faster it would have been a constant flow of fresh mechanics etc. and the music did get a bit repetitive if you spent too long in one area. That's only nit picking though as I think this is a great entry. The ending fake out gave me a little chuckle too.

P.S. you can't leave the shop on the browser version since Esc just pulls you out of full screen

The music fits perfectly, and the theme is well-maintained; it’s just a pity that the monitor frame and the image on the screen have different shapes.

I loved your game! It’s exactly the kind of game I enjoy: top-down, adventure, a mix of puzzle and RPG...

The concept is fantastic! While playing, I kept thinking about the game's potential—imagining all sorts of different floppy disks, various games, and side quests... My imagination really ran wild!

I got a bit stuck until I realized that the number on the floppy disk is actually what tricks the system. At first, I assumed any disk would work in any slot.

Collecting enough coins to buy the sword was a bit tedious. I played the same platformer mini-game eight times before realizing I’d never actually be able to gather 100 coins. You tricked me!

The graphics and music are quite simple, but the CRT (tube TV) effect is fantastic—it really brought back memories of my old Atari games. Even the racing game reminded me of *F1 Race* for the NES! :)

This is one of the coolest games I’ve played so far. Do you plan on expanding it?

Congratulations!

Clever, fun, and atmospheric game. The sound is a bit too "atari 2600" here and there. The puzzles you put in are really funny! I thought I actually had to grind through the city jumper 8 times, only to have my coins stuck at 99! I did complete the game in the end :)

This was a really good concept; loved the puzzle element of selecting the correct disk to obtain resources for the main game via what were effectively minigames. My one complaint was the exagerated distortion of your CRT shader; when the screen scrolled vertically it started making me feel a bit sick. Pretty sure the CRTs I grew up with in the 80s were never that bad.. :D

Hey nice game!

I had similar concept in mind at first, but decided not to try to implement it, as I knew it would have been too big task for me. But you managed to pull it off, congrats for that!

Kudos for not using AI tools! :)

Great concept! Kinda slow in terms of pacing, but workable nonetheless
