I love the simplicity and different routes and strategies I can try. So far I can only steal 2 documents before i get caught, but i have only so much paths from the printer, and can only carry one paper? I thought maybe from your cubicle you could buy "upgrades" like a folder that holds 5 papers or something?
Love the hand-drawn art style, but the gameplay seemed confusing, as people just randomly leave their seats and walk around. In one try, almost all of them crashed into each other and got stuck, but I got caught because one suddenly decided to turn around.
@crotonyl-alcohol this was my first time implementing path finding 😅 so their are some wonky routes they take. also the RNG is a mess, it either makes the game too easy or too hard. the bunching up is also a path finding issue. i dont have any logic for them to go around each other so they often get stuck. thanks for playing!
@tenthousandfireants i had multiple ways to collect documents, like the usb drives and the cabinets are all interactable, but i disabled that at the end of the jam cause i ran out of time. i also wanted to make the printing itself a minigame but had to simplify a lot at the end. im glad you enjoyed it!

Very good idea, good job ! The difficulty is : we want to play fast, because we can run, but in order to win, you have to take it slow... It's a game design matter, but the game plays well 😊

I really like the idea, but it needs a better way to tell what is intractable and what is not, I was confused and I was clicking everything, also some sound effects, even if basic could really have helped everything together. But overall, I think it is a pretty cool game, more polishing and it will be a solid game.
@kiddoo i ran into that issue too. i always lost when sprinting. definitely needs some balance so loosing doesn't feel as random. thanks for the feedback! @neeko69 im glad you liked it! i agree their needs to be a lot more feedback and indicators. my last minute effort to get some of that was adding text pop ups like "your cubicle"
The theme of this game is perfect, the gameplay and consistent art line up with a nefarious coworker smuggling documents from an indifferent corporate office. I like the touches of the cubicles looking slightly different from each other, too. When NPCs ran into each other to stop moving, it gave the feeling of someone asking for a minute of the other person's time, or when there were 3 or more, it was a team meeting.
The starting animation wowed me so much I forgot to read the words until I refreshed the browser for a fresh playthrough. I did not know to click to interact until I was told to.
The difficulty was good for practicing over and over, but it might feel better to ease it in. If there were multiple lives, then a death could show a you-got-caught message/animation, then warp you to your cubicle to try again until you run out of lives.
Speaking of adding things, music or audio would add a lot to the game, given more time. You mentioned the design idea of adding mini-games, which I think could be good if there was a larger team.
As it stands, great job finishing this game. I enjoyed getting better at it as I tried to come up for explanations for in-game behaviors/setting, admired the map layout, and tried to plan ahead to not get caught ala Pac Man style. Looking forward to seeing what games you make in the future!
