| Apr 29 14:21:31 | NETHER WORLD | ♥ 2 | I became a spider! That is the best ending, right? 🕷 (I think you should use different colours for the speeches of different characters) | |
| Apr 29 14:44:19 | 22m 48s | utsvulten | ♥ 0 | I love it Ditto, you did it again! This game is a real expression of love -- I have never felt so intimate with an NPC before. I wanted to explore everything in the scene, and I feel like I haven't found half of it yet. For some reason I love poking eyes in this. |
| Apr 29 14:47:47 | 3m 28s | Baby Benjamins | ♥ 1 | Hmm, the unity windows did not quite work with wine. Any chance of an HTML5 export? |
| Apr 29 15:04:52 | 17m 05s | Projekt Rekt | ♥ 0 | Hey, congratulations on finishing your game! I think you have some good things going, and plenty of space to improve. The zombies with high HP got a bit grindy near the end. Maybe do not increase their HP so much, and work on their speed or damage instead? I liked that the ground shines where the zombies will spawn. The style of the sprites and the style of the walls was a bit too different. Maybe you should have used simple sprites? The music made my ears hurt a bit ;-) But maybe you should add some sounds when the zombies die? or when they attack you? I think The video "the art of screenshake" on youtube has a lot of simple hints for a game like yours! I hope to see you again next LD! Thank you for the game! |
| Apr 29 15:15:46 | 10m 54s | Life Is Currency. Currency Is Life. Choose Your Future. Choose Life. | ♥ 1 | Oh wow, this is even more crazy when I experiment it in person. Good job! |
| Apr 30 03:49:33 | 12h 33m | Blocks for Life | ♥ 0 | This is so lovely! I really like the different enemies, and the "surprise" boxes reminded me of Alex Kidd in the Miracle world. I feel it would be fun to have the user score shown with more sparkles during game over (You got a new highscore! or something) |
| Apr 30 07:10:43 | 3h 21m | Life is Currency | ♥ 2 | Interesting concept, but I couldn't quite figure out what I have to do. I unlocked one of the doors with blood, but the other doors did not have the option (although they had the flask in front of them). I also could not unlock the safe with the hints from the TV :-( The opening was quite scary! Thanks for the game! |
| Apr 30 07:21:23 | 10m 40s | Gimme Your Heart | ♥ 1 | Heh, very neat! I really loved the gameboy feel with the spritework and the music. Next time let's sit down to make a longer continuation to this game! I want to find out what the snake needs all those hearts for! |
| Apr 30 08:09:14 | 47m 51s | Paynplayne | ♥ 1 | Hey, this was a very fun game! I really liked the "feel" of the controls (text flowing along, speed of the character, combat with the imps), and the spritework on M was really nice! I would love to play a longer version of this! I managed to beat it on the second try, when I realized that killing the imps recovered some life -- maybe make this a little bit more obvious to the player? |
| Apr 30 08:22:53 | 13m 39s | RoShamBo ++ | ♥ 0 | Ha! Cool idea! I had a similar idea during lunch on sunday: A rock paper scissors where you had to wager your hand, feet, skin, bones... :-) Anyway, I love RPS, and this game certainly gets some points from me for that. Some things that bugged me a bit: - The "wager" system did not quite sell it to me. In the end, it felt better to just always wager all your life to make the game go faster. - It was not very clear how much life you get when you win. Once I waged 30 and got 30, once I waged 90 and got 10, once I waged 100 and got 0. Is this based on how much the enemy wages? Any way to check that? - It would have been nice if you gave names to the enemies ;-) Always better to beat someone you share a personal connection with! Good game! I hope to see a post-compo version! |
| Apr 30 08:37:40 | 14m 47s | Salaryman | ♥ 1 | Hey, that is a really original concept! I really like the idea of treating the theme as "what do you use the time in your life for"? I could not quite get what the brain and family bars are. The family bar did not seem to rise at all, except when I spent time with my family, which was a bit counterintuitive, since the other bars rising indicated bad things happening. The brain bar seemed to be tiredness? Depression? I managed to work myself to death on my first try to see what would happen, an on the second one I was eventually let go by trying to live a healthy lifestyle :-P Thanks for the game! |
| Apr 30 08:48:22 | 10m 42s | TimeForYourSouls | ♥ 1 | Huh, cool idea! It took me a few tries to get how it worked, but I eventually got it. As Syrapt0r, on my computer it starts to lag very badly on the third level... I wonder why that is... |
| Apr 30 09:00:41 | 12m 19s | Take them with you | ♥ 2 | Hey! Congratulations on finishing your first Jam! This is quite an interesting idea for the game: Trying to "kite" the robots into the trap. One thing that I learned during Ludum Dare is that it is impossible to explain your game too much :-) It took me quite a while to understand what I was supposed to do: Are the black bots friends or enemies? What do I do to them? What is my goal? Consider adding some explanation text next time! Also, if your game can be played full screen, consider adding a key to quit the game (such as ESC). Finally, unity allows you to export your game to a web application! You can host the web version of your game on itch.io, give it a try! Thanks for the cool game, the robots were super cute! |
| Apr 30 09:27:50 | 27m 09s | 24 hours | ♥ 1 | First time I played, I slept all the time and lived up to 120 years! Hurray! And then I started playing with the different combinations -- you got something really cool here! I loved when "Astronaut" opened up. Maybe add the possibility of certain paths getting locked out, or the option for the player to "close" or "hide" certain option? Maybe add some events? Also are the traits unlocked by just having the necessary pre-requisites, or do you also need a certain quantity of them? Anyway, great concept! |
| Apr 30 09:49:36 | 21m 46s | BIOFUEL | ♥ 2 | Interesting take! Reminds me of "Galaxy Trucker"! I think that one problem with your game is that it is a bit hard to make an informed decision. The reason is that because when an event asks for "biofuel", I have no idea how much it will take! Maybe an indicator such as "a little" or "a lot" would make it easier for players to make more informed decisions. Good job on the game! |
| Apr 30 10:00:18 | 10m 42s | WE:FX ミンナガFX | ♥ 0 | I like the basic idea. It is fun that you can have many ships at the same time. I want more enemies on the screen! And maybe a bigger screen :-) Thank you for the game! |
| Apr 30 10:24:41 | 24m 23s | Koe | ♥ 3 | Wow, really nice mood! This was a creepy game in a very real sense, specially with all those cuts! I also loved the music and the sounds. There were quite a few bugs in the game, although some of them it was not clear whether they were intentional or not, which was quite a clever idea :-P Thank you for your game, and for your nice messages! |
| Apr 30 10:36:30 | 11m 49s | The Vampire's Prisoner | ♥ 2 | Nice art, and I liked the idea of feeding the vampire to keep it at bay. I also found it clever that you would walk slower when low on life. Nice spritework! Unfortunately, I also got stuck after getting the bag on the throne. I couldn't find any other interactable objects, except for one which drained my water and the torches. Maybe a few more hints? Thanks for the game! |
| May 3 10:59:26 | 72h 22m | Doc. BLOODAWAY | ♥ 1 | That is a pretty cool idea! I like games that try to use rock paper scissors mechanics. I think you could try to add a bit more of interactivity: maybe the doctor say something based on what you and the other patient choose? Or maybe there is a way to cooperate with the other patient? I had to run the game under wine, and for some reason, full screen would not resize the game window to the size of my computer screen. Maybe look up that? Also I believe that Love2D can automatically create binaries for Mac and Linux! Thanks for the game! |
| May 3 11:23:47 | 24m 21s | Dead Frog Tell No Tales | ♥ 1 | That was a very original idea and a cool game! I liked it a lot. I felt that the game was a bit "slow" though, not sure if it is my machine, or if there is something in the programming that could be done to make it more responsive. Also, it was not clear for me what was my goal at each stage. A certain amount of gold? A certain number of satisfied people? I lost at the throne room and I had no idea if it was a close loss or not. Cheers! |
| May 3 11:58:03 | 34m 16s | Heartreasure | ♥ 1 | That was really wholesome! I could not solve some of the puzzles, but I enjoyed my time in this game. I hope you add some music in the future! |
| May 5 03:33:05 | 39h 35m | Bob the Zombie | ♥ 1 | Hey, that was pretty good! I loved the idea and the sprites. I played around five times but could not get beyond day two. Maybe make the difficulty ramp up a bit more slowly? Nice job! |
| May 5 03:55:54 | 22m 49s | Sick Business | ♥ 2 | Ha! I loved it! Having to balance all the patients was really fun, and the little details on the whole idea of the game "what a real doctor would do" was quite fantastic. I think that it was a little hard following all the messages. Maybe making a box for them? or changing the font a little bit? It was not quite clear to me when the mafia would show up next, or how much money they would charge me. Fantastic game! Thanks! |
| May 5 04:03:29 | 7m 35s | The dangerous life of an indie dev | ♥ 1 | Very cool idea (there is always a meta-game about making games in LD, isn't there?), but still needs some polishing: just adding some sound effects for the dev hitting on the keyboard and the cellphone ringing would make a world of difference! Also, maybe give some hints about how the options may change the different currencies? Sometimes I could not really connect my choice with the currency change that happened: adding some "result" text would be fantastic. I hope you keep working on this game! |
| May 5 04:44:57 | 41m 28s | This is your life now | ♥ 1 | Hmmm, why can you triple jump? And what are the stats supposed to mean? The general idea is pretty cool, but this game did not resonate with me very well. "You got good grades, you'll never have fun"... eeeh? |
| May 5 05:46:05 | 1h 01m | Mr Moneybag | ♥ 1 | I loved it. Very tight gameplay, very addictive. The ability to shoot down walls brings something very fun for me. After playing a while, I found myself very much wanting to see a "level map", in order to remember myself which areas I had not explored yet, or which shopkeepers I left behind. Looking forward to updates in the game! |
| May 5 06:01:54 | 15m 49s | Inflate Me to the Moon | ♥ 1 | Hah, this is so weird, I loved it! Loved the musical arrangements too :-) |
| May 5 06:15:36 | 13m 42s | Lifelust | ♥ 2 | Looks great! Unfortunately, it does not work with wine. Since you're using pygame, any chance to release Mac and Linux (or web) versions? Cheers! |
| May 5 06:25:49 | 10m 13s | Meter Maid DX | ♥ 1 | That was a neat idea. Although the game needs some polishing here and there (the cars pushing the maid around was lol), it has a lot of promise! |
| May 5 06:37:21 | 11m 32s | Bioenfluencer | ♥ 2 | That is a cool idea, it reminds me of one of my first LDJam games a long time ago. It was not very clear to me the costs of actions in blood, tears and sweat -- maybe make it a bit more explicit in your interface? Also it was not very clear the relationships between parts and trends: I got a trend for "Zombie" and a trend for "Kawaii", but none of the parts seemed to match... Thanks for the game! |
| May 6 11:17:18 | 28h 39m | Arrow of Light | ♥ 1 | That was a pretty fun game. I liked shooting arrows around, and you falling slower when charging an arrow was a nice touch. However, I think I am doing something wrong, how do I get past the reaper who requires 66 life to pass? :-( |
