Aug 1 01:51:00 Robo Blackout Ultra Havoc! ♥ 1 Is this a Unity game? If so, you probably should release binaries for Linux and Mac, in addition to windows, so more people can play your game! Cheers
Aug 1 02:12:10 21m 10s People are the power ♥ 2 Fantastic, I loved this game :-) The idea is original, and I am surprised in how many different people you managed to make with so few pixels! At first the instant picker is the fastest way, but soon I started to see the worth of the other options. I tried to go to 2GW to see if anything would happen, but couldn't... A few things to improve: - The weapon picker is a bit too fast: Maybe give it a few frames after changing a weapon before allowing it to change again. - The messages on the top and bottom could flash once when changing, to grab our attention more. Awesome game!
Aug 1 02:35:19 23m 09s Charge! ♥ 0 Beautiful game, you really took PICO8 to its limits there :-) I loved the windows, really nice touch there. I loved the sound effects, and the different monsters. At one point, though, I found one part of a station opening into space and I could... just walk through it. Bug?
Aug 1 02:40:40 5m 21s Power Outage ♥ 1 Nice idea and nice graphics, but the mouse controls are a bit too wonky, so I couldn't play the game to its fullest. I think PICO8 doesn't quite work with the mouse :-)
Aug 1 02:57:10 16m 30s Cellephant ♥ 2 *ding ding!* Fantastic game. The music already caught me, and the challenge was pretty fun too. I got stuck at level 25 before calling it quits. I think the first 10 levels might have been a bit too easy, but other than that I really liked this game :-)
Aug 1 03:13:50 16m 40s Hungry Harry's Climb ♥ 1 Solid game -- I really enjoyed grabbing walls and the color pallete. By the way, when I press jump twice, I get the jump sound twice, even though this game does not have double jump -- you might want to look into that. I don't think that the game need enemies, but a clock for speedrunning would be cool. Thanks for the great game!
Aug 1 03:20:51 7m 01s Mecha Testing Ground ♥ 2 Hey, neat game! You got the basics down pat: menu, replay, movement, collision, screenshake, everything is solid there :-) Some simple things that could help: - Add sin(t) to the Y position of some of your enemies to give them some simple sweave - Since you have explosion particles, you could have them destroy other enemies for a chain reaction - Your player could blink, or add some particles, when hit - If you add a 1-frame long white circle near the gun when it shoots, it looks like muzzle flash. Looks pretty cool. I hope to see more games from you soon :-D
Aug 1 13:41:23 10h 20m Spacy adventure ♥ 2 Very nice game! I used the hint from your twitter and abused the shield to ram into enemies :3 I really liked that your bullet could kill many enemies at the same time. On the other hand, it was not very clear whether the updates from the shop had any effect or not, and I would often forget to upgrade... This game deserves some catchy music! Thank you for the game :-)
Aug 1 13:52:30 11m 07s Blasphemy! ♥ 1 HARD! And great music. I found it a bit hard to control the little guy, and couldn't get past the first room with the two switches :-( But did I say I really liked the music? Thanks for the game :-)
Aug 1 13:58:41 6m 11s Power Earth Saver ♥ 1 Very interesting Idea. My biggest problem was that the projectiles and the enemies were too small, so it was hard to hit anything (paired with the limited projectiles). Maybe you can make the laser be homing, and the rocket explode in a radius? And then put more enemies to compensate. Thank you for the game!
Aug 1 14:27:38 28m 57s Dashfister ♥ 2 No chance for a Mac or Linux build? :-)
Aug 1 15:24:28 56m 50s Deep Space Burrito ♥ 1 Neat graphics! I was hoping that there were more "interactables" besides the crank and the microwave -- This could be very fun, full of easter eggs :-)
Aug 2 11:40:45 20h 16m HellOnEarth ♥ 1 Thanks for the game! The particle effects are really nice, and the action is fast as well. The ammo system could use a bit of rebalancing, it was not very clear that you needed to kill your own guys to get money to buy more ammo, and the price was also not very clear. Also, you should probably scale the font of the intro to the size of the screen -- If I don't play at 1600x1050, the title screen will get clipped, but the game runs normally. Thanks for the game!
Aug 2 12:46:52 1h 06m Zombies and RVs ♥ 2 Very Radical, I liked it! The music and the opening scene set the theme, and the game kept it very well. It felt good to mow the zombies with the gun! The gameplay itself was a bit tame, though. Basically, I could just stand on one RV and shoot until the game was over. Maybe it would be better if you were forced to jump to the front of the queue before advancing a level? Also, falling from the RV should have some sort of penalty. But I did enjoy being a shirtless avatar of zombie destruction, thumbs up!
Aug 2 13:00:38 13m 46s Unburdened ♥ 2 The idea of losing powers is interesting, but the platforming needs a lot more work. It is hard to really know which powers you need to lose when (except for the glasses, which you give in the hint), and every time you die you need to start all over again. Also why is the character falling up? :-D
Aug 2 14:56:13 1h 55m Chimster Gigafactory ♥ 2 Cool idea, and very fun TV parts -- but the gameplay bugged to me, the batteries would not drain or fill, so I just played without too much hurry until the end of the game. To be honest, that was quite a fun experience even with the bug :-) In the initial explanation, I think having some more complete subtitles would be appreciated for ESL people. Thanks for the game!
Aug 2 15:05:55 9m 42s Stargust ♥ 1 Pretty Good! I liked having to balance four different actions, although I have never managed to really prevent the rocket from blowing up the battery :-( You missed your chance to put some easter eggs above or below the tutorial text, though ;-)
Aug 6 14:29:57 95h 24m Battery Worm ♥ 1 The game is pretty fun! I liked the idea, and I specially liked that you could see the rest of the board in the background -- I think it gives a good sense of strategy, specially if you make more enemies and items. Definitely needs some bleeps and blops there though. Thanks for the linux build!
Aug 6 14:31:47 1m 50s Lights Out ♥ 0 Awww, no linux build? :-) I think unity can create it for you with a simple menu click!
Aug 6 14:46:37 14m 50s Owld ♥ 1 I won! I liked the sound! I felt that the objects fell a bit too fast, so it felt like a matter of luck if I caught something or not. The game would also have been a bit interesting if you added a timer or score so that I can compare how well I did against other people :-) Thanks for the game!
Aug 6 14:53:39 7m 02s Tax Rebel ♥ 0 I am getting a screen "Made with Superpowers", but the game does not start. Do I have to download anything to play with it?
Aug 6 14:59:11 5m 32s Gargoyle's Curse ♥ 1 That was a pretty frantic game, and I liked the animations, specially the winning animation. You did some very expressive sprites with very few pixels! I was a bit confused to what I had to do in the first few times I played though -- maybe you should have the amulet count go down instead of up, since the goal seems to be to collect all the amulets in the stage? Thanks for the cool game!
