| Aug 14 18:51:36 | No Room! | ♥ 1 | Had to install OpenAL to run the game but that was a minor problem. I really liked the graphics and the gameplay was fun but a bit basic. Two things I think would make it better is that first it would be great if you could maybe first open the chest and then see what it is and the second is that, yes the chests always contained the same type of items but how good they were was different each time. Sometimes I got a stick and other times I got a 9mm making it a bit harder to plan my way. Another small thing was that the UI was hiding behind the level sometimes 😄 | |
| Aug 14 19:02:36 | 11m 00s | Field of Bodies | ♥ 1 | Great use of the theme. We had similar ideas on how to handle the theme (enemy corpses stays and block you) The gameplay was fun but was hindered by the movement system. I would recommend having aim and movement not affecting each other so W is always walking north and S south. I'm impressed by all the content you managed to add. Managed to get to night 8 after a few tries. Small note: In your title screen it says "Game made in 48" 48 what 😄 |
| Aug 14 19:12:57 | 10m 21s | Dish It Out | ♥ 1 | That was a hard game, only managed to get 110 after several tries. I must ask you @recursor what are your high score as the developer? I was really digging the music and the sound effects was also nice. The controls was a bit clunky in the beginning but you learned after the first time. I'm quite sure that I still got points from dishes that managed to land on the stools, maybe a bug? |
| Aug 14 19:28:28 | 15m 31s | Shapes | ♥ 1 | Give me back my font! 😄 Are the high scores real? I never managed to get over 1000 (best 525, then I never got over 200 again). I'm quite sure they are cheated :P The gameplay is nice, quick, responsive and very hard. The graphics is bare bone but works. I do think that the game is a bit too hard and would be nice if it started a bit slower or with a bit fewer shapes. |
| Aug 14 19:40:15 | 11m 47s | Junk dealer running out of space | ♥ 1 | The mood and graphics are really good however the gameplay was a bit lacking and confusing. The controls was also a bit clunky that they didn't really drop where I wanted them to drop. I also think a bit more explanation would be nice or an example to how craft. It took a while before I figured it out. |
| Aug 15 18:33:57 | 22h 53m | Pizza Defender | ♥ 1 | Ah, Flash. My first program to create a game in and it was a long time ago I played a flash game. First of all, amazing graphics and animations 5/5. The gameplay is very smooth but missing any kind of feedback makes it fell a bit lacking. I think even some very basic 8-bit sound would add a great deal of impact to the gameplay but with only 48 hours you made a really good entry! |
| Aug 15 18:41:53 | 7m 56s | Upwards | ♥ 0 | Simple, nice and fun little platformer that is easy to get into and hard to stop playing. One small thing that I think would be nice to change is the transition between the floors. I think it is a bit of a hard cut, maybe try smoothing that bit out. Would be interesting to see this game adjusted for mobiles because I think this is a perfect game for mobile. |
| Aug 15 19:01:14 | 19m 21s | Arrows | ♥ 1 | A simply fun game that I kept on saying "just one more time". The music fits well with the game, could maybe be a bit higher bit-rate/less distorted. I got the bug that sometimes the arrows just don't get stuck (as many other has said) Very good use of the theme. (Might you have been inspired by Undertale a bit perhaps? 😉) |
| Aug 15 19:09:50 | 8m 36s | Spider tank | ♥ 1 | The first though I had was it look kinda like the game Into The Breach but after playing it, the games has some similar mechanics but this game is more a pure puzzle game. It was fun trying to push the enemies of the map but I must admit that I was a bit confused of something that happened so I think that some feedback would be nice like seeing a animation where you and the enemies are shooting. Overall this was a fun little game. |
| Aug 16 19:05:32 | 23h 55m | Running Out Of Space | ♥ 1 | First of all, congrats on you first LD! I'm going to start with some things I see not as good. Firstly try to use an more user friendly file host that don't open up several popups and preferably in English. Secondly, the size seems big for this kind of game but that seems to be Unreal Engine fault so... **shaking my fist at Epic studios** Now to the game. A simple platform shooter with cute graphics and nice music that was enjoyable to play. However I encountered a few bugs. I couldn't run and shoot so I had to stop and shoot, not a big problem but a bit strange. The other was a visual bug that enemies sometimes rotated and became just lines, but I thought that was just funny. A last note was that both SteamVR och Oculus started for me when I started this game. Might wan't to check that it is not VR enabled in the engine. |
| Aug 16 19:17:08 | 11m 36s | Escape the Big Rip | ♥ 0 | Nice and chill one button game. The biggest critic I have is that it lack challenge. It would be nice if it would speed up the higher score you got. Now I could more or less stop pressing space bar and just drift the space without dying. I will say that the graphics looked nice and if I played some chill music in the background, this was a very relaxing game for me. |
| Aug 16 19:28:15 | 11m 07s | The last witch-knight | ♥ 1 | A very solid boss fight. Managed to get to the last phase after a few tries. Very nice graphics and visuals and the gameplay felt solid and smooth and the boss fight itself was interesting with nice change each stage and very challenging. The only thing missing was nice fitting 8-bit music. |
| Aug 16 19:41:13 | 12m 58s | Happy Knight | ♥ 1 | I really like the graphics, very cute. The gameplay is simple yet fun but quickly gets mundane. One thing that would improve that is to make waves and introduce new enemies. |
| Aug 17 15:41:43 | 20h 00m | Cryptovirus | ♥ 1 | A very very good puzzle game based on sokoban. Very good level design that I felt the later levels was just hard enough to make me really think about how I should do and it introduced the new puzzle elements in a good and easy to understand way. |
| Aug 17 15:58:32 | 16m 49s | Forklift Frenzy | ♥ 1 | Surprisingly fun game! I really dig the graphics. The controls at first was a bit confusing but after a while it was second nature to control the forklift. Was a little hard to get the blocks in the corners. My best score: Capture.PNG |
| Aug 17 16:08:20 | 9m 48s | Stack City | ♥ 0 | A very interesting game. A bit overwhelming with all the different building and resources. I love that you can set the physics, so I change to maximum bounciness and had a chuckle 😆 |
| Aug 17 16:19:34 | 11m 14s | Cronus' Tomb 2 | ♥ 1 | I managed to beat a few dungeons/caves but not Cronus tomb. I am very impressed with how much content you managed to create in 72 hours. The graphics are really good and so is the music and sounds. My biggest gripe with the game is the feeling of the movement. To me it feels to... heavy/floaty but that might just be me being bad :P A very solid entry! |
| Aug 17 17:58:34 | 1h 39m | Lootsalot | ♥ 2 | Awesome concept and execution. Some bits was confusing not really explained so you had some trail and error but that is part of the fun. The graphics is amazing. One small quality of life things I would maybe add is the ability to click the resource items that only takes one space. I thought that is was a bit too much drag and drop when suddenly there are 5-10 small items on the ground. I understand why you wouldn't want to do that because that would ruin some of the inventory management part. Also I managed to cause this when I pressed the fullscreen (?) button 😅 2018-08-17_19-50-13.png |
| Aug 18 15:15:25 | 21h 16m | RUNNING OUT OF SPACE (1997) | ♥ 0 | Luckily I own Exapunk (love Zachtronics games) so I could try your game. Very innovative to create a game inside Exapunk. The game itself is a bit simple but is quite fun with nice tunes. I don't think so many are going to rate this game if they find it in the games tab. Instead I recommend you to make a blog post calling everyone that owns Exapunk to give your game a try. Because it is quite a lot to ask to own an early access game that cost 16€ that also is quite niche. Wish you the best of luck that you manage to get the 20 ratings needed to score. |
| Aug 18 15:29:44 | 14m 19s | Holine! | ♥ 2 | Reminds me a bit of creeper world (you even call the enemies creep 😉) A solid tower defense-ish game that goes well with the theme. Noticed that the best strategy was just to build attack tower and you would win. I think that the extract time should be longer and the difficulty should become harder over time forcing you to try expanding. And some basic sounds would be nice. It would also be fun with and endless mode. Overall it is a nice solid game. Btw, does it have more than 2 levels? |
| Aug 18 15:50:08 | 20m 24s | Choose Them up | ♥ 1 | Very nice graphics/visual and a good beat. I think the game is solid but I have some gripes with it. I think that is progress too slowly. Low fire rate and low projectile speed makes it kinda boring in the beginning but picks up at later stages. I think just a bump in those areas would make the earlier stages much more fun. Another small thing is the fire spread, its get kinda annoying when the bullets don't really goes where you want them to. It is really fun after a while, it just takes too much time to get there before it gets fun. |
| Aug 18 16:03:24 | 13m 16s | Oh, sh*t! — Ludum Dare #42 — Running out of space | ♥ 1 | I'm a bit curious what the completed game would look like. I liked the graphics and I managed to create a full board, maybe I missed something?. As other has said, the sound effect was very loud. |
| Aug 18 16:12:46 | 9m 22s | CLAMPRESSOR File Archiver | ♥ 1 | I had surprising fun with this game. A cute solid match 3 game with nice tunes/sound effects and fun "story". The match 3 mechanic was new to me and felt mostly polished, there was sometimes how the things shifted places when moving them that it looked odd or didn't make sense but I don't know. The graphics was also very nicely done. |
| Aug 18 16:19:59 | 7m 13s | BulletJam | ♥ 1 | Love the graphics and the take on the theme. The gameplay was solid but without sound it felt a bit "empty". I think that making the slimes maybe grow up instead of popping in would make it a bit more manageable. I also experience some slowdown (if that was not a feature slowmotion 😉) I also found out that you can press F to make all the slime go flying and make it impossible to shoot the slimes 😄 |
| Aug 19 12:38:03 | 20h 18m | Sthog | ♥ 1 | Lets start with the good things. The graphics is charming and the music is good, maybe not the best fit for the game but it is good. The less good thing. It was confusing to understand what was happening. I've got to a state where it was impossible to continue to cultivate tea because all the monsters(?) filled the base. Is it possible to win? The collision was a bit bugged with the ladders. |
| Aug 19 12:49:27 | 11m 24s | Poison Panic | ♥ 0 | Very rarely you see an online game for Ludum dare. This game felt very "Realm of the mad god" and even though I was playing alone I had fun. Biggest problem I had with the game was the unresponsive movement. I felt it was maybe around 0.5 seconds delay between pressing a key and moving. Ignoring that, I thought the top down element of the game was solid and the random upgrade gave the gameplay a nice twist. |
| Aug 19 13:01:29 | 12m 02s | Out Of Space | ♥ 2 | Holy moly the performance in ultra. I understand why potato is the default, all the lights must kill the performance :P The game was fun and had many interesting elements, my favorite the "back camera" for the monster when it got close. The level design felt at times a bit too busy but never overwhelming. The music was awesome and sometimes suddenly changed to a despacito remix. I also loved the intro. |
| Aug 19 13:13:20 | 11m 51s | Space Trap | ♥ 1 | My finger is dead after I managed to survive for 150 seconds. For next time, please have hold to fire to have mercy on my mouse and finger :P Good take on the theme with solid gameplay. A bit unusual movements with the ship orbiting the mouse when strafing, took some time to get used to. The graphics and music is also nice. The health meter was also a bit unusual with slowly going red instead of the more traditionally decreasing. Didn't notice that I was almost dead until to late 😄 |
| Aug 19 13:24:14 | 10m 54s | PROJECT R.O.O.S. | ♥ 1 | High on innovation for using PowerPoint 😃 Managed to play through the whole thing. First thing I notice was the music and my first thought was "holy shit you made this" and the I saw the credit, well thanks for finding a new awesome soundtrack to listen to. The graphic are very good and cute. The story had its moments, both serious and fun and I loved the ending. Bit of a shame that your programmer bailed on you but great work nonetheless. |
| Aug 24 19:38:00 | 126h 13m | Box Bonanza | ♥ 0 | Fun little game. It wasn't clear what everything did at first but after some plays I understood what everything did. The physics was very buggy. Sometimes I couldn't jump and sometimes I flew across the screen. Even if it was fun to see the physics glitch out, it would be nice that the physics would be a bit more "consistent". |
| Aug 24 20:13:57 | 35m 57s | Blocks | ♥ 1 | Very impressive for only 5 hours. Simple yet fun. The physics are a bit buggy and jumpy sometimes but that is kinda expected with that short of time. One suggestion I have is to maybe disable the falling cubes rigidbody (I guessing that you use them) when they have landed and are still because after a while its get a bit performance heavy and they tend to freak out if you jump on them. |
| Aug 25 16:31:48 | 20h 17m | Defragmentare: Bring Order to Chaos | ♥ 0 | I manged to understand that I had to order the numbers in order low to high in same color. A bit interesting in the beginning but when the only change each level is more files it became tedious. It would be interesting if you introduced some small gameplay changes/twists on new levels. |
| Aug 25 16:43:13 | 11m 25s | Electric Fence - Micro B | ♥ 1 | Very strange movements and took some time getting used to. I really like the sound design when moving. I agree and disagree with the statement "Simply moving is fun", yes it is fun to move while fighting enemies but it gets very tedious when trying to get in doors. Overall it was a fun experience. |
| Aug 25 17:20:42 | 37m 29s | Cave Dwellers | ♥ 1 | A very solid puzzle game playing on limited space and resources. After the tutorials you get slapped in the face with the sudden difficulty spike. I must say the first non-tutorial level is one of the harder levels :P And the last level required a few retakes but I managed to beat it spent a solid 30 minutes to beat all levels and I had fun every minute. The graphics and sounds are not that great but gets the works done. And it would be nice if it supported mouse. My win screen :D TsRd8CD.png |
