Just being able to drive around so fast and ram into walls made this game worth it. It was kinda difficult trying to shoot with the sideways gun, but I got used to it. I also enjoyed the graphics and the sounds. Overall, the game was pretty fun, if not a bit confusing at first.
I couldn't get the game to run, missing runtimes (VCRUNTIME140.dll) on windows, only works for 64 bit version. Looks good though, I would have liked to play it.

Really enjoyed the featured 9 barrel shotgun.
Game was fun with the mechanics that don't allow you to shot in front of you. The run and gun gameplay was enjoyable! The soundtrack in the main menu is also very cool.
Fun! The simple change of shooting sideways added a surprising amount.

"Simply moving is fun" Yes indeed ! The robotic noise helps a lot, that's for sure. As for the shooting, the feeling of the weapons was very satisfying, and it is a joy to (more or less) start to master both the movements and the aim. I would suggest to be less harsh on structural integrity losses due to walls in the first rooms, it makes the beginning of the game a little hectic.

Hey man! This was a really nice game. The moving sounds were so satisfying.
It took a while to get used to the controls first, and had a lot of problems getting in tight spaces (getting through doors)
At the beginning, I thought my gun was kinda useless, but it turns out, the cone enemies have A LOT of health.
The graphics, although not being the best, stay consistent and have a nice style to it.
Congratulations on the game!

The movement scheme was a little tough, but I don't think I've had as much fun at any point playing any game in this entire jam as i did picking up speed down a few of those corridors.....I literally just did it over and over and don't regret anything.
The movement style is absolutely hilarious, the sound effects are perfect and I love it. Unfortunately that meant the hardest thing to do in the game was get through doors... but I was able to slam into a caterpillar hard enough to send it out of the level, so it was all worth it.
Music and sound effects are on point - art is pretty simple but you can't do anything but love that caterpillar. :bug: :ok:
Awesome work! I played this last night and its still in my head. Taking the idea of a topdown shooter and knocking it on its side is reslly creative. You executed on it really well. Yhe controls were reslly hard to get used too for me. But i understand why they are there. Overall a really strong submission congratulations! 💪
Good game, but controls are very weird maybe use mouse instead of 'a' and 'd', I like the aim from the side thing but i wasn't able to go where i wanted 'cuz of the weird controls
Music was good
Good Job!!!
Very strange movements and took some time getting used to. I really like the sound design when moving. I agree and disagree with the statement "Simply moving is fun", yes it is fun to move while fighting enemies but it gets very tedious when trying to get in doors.
Overall it was a fun experience.

The movement could be really fun with a little more polish. Turning while moving tilts the gun downwards, so circling around large groups of enemies doesn't work since you just shoot into the floor. It also can be frustrating when you get caught on walls.
What inspired you to make the gun sideways?
@dovakla The gun being able to aim up is actually intentional, according to the original plan, where there's a third enemy that floats much higher than the caterpillars, and only turn+shoot or a far away shotgun can take it down. I ran out of time and also got lazy and didn't fix it.
The sideways gun was an old test game for a game engine I was working on in the past. It was a first person shooter hammered together in a short amount of time, where you run around and shoot a bunch robot fans with a giant laser. For fun, I decided to add a third person mode, and a way to inspect the giant laser to show off the cool logo on it. The gun would still fire even though it was tilted to the right. It was fun to run around with the sideways gun, and soon realized, "maybe I can make a game with this type of aiming some day." Though instead, I pointed the gun to the left, since that's how people would normally hold them.

Driving around and shooting feels fun and juicy. The sounds help a lot with that. I think the biggest improvement you could've made would've been to simplify the player collision shape to a cylinder, I think it is too finicky as is and takes away from the otherwise fast, fun mechanics. I found myself stuck in walls and doorways a few times. Also I would've liked instructions in game.
What a positively weird game idea, good job.
