We've done this 3x now. I love trying to do something in a few days...and as always it was fun to work with @malero. In this one we got online multiplayer, stat building...and watch out for that FOG closing in on your space. I think it's our best entry yet.
I love how ambitious this was. Don't often see multiplayer games like this in LD. I felt the difficulty was a bit to high however and I struggled to kill enemies partly due to lagging. Awesome job, guys
Very rarely you see an online game for Ludum dare.
This game felt very "Realm of the mad god" and even though I was playing alone I had fun. Biggest problem I had with the game was the unresponsive movement. I felt it was maybe around 0.5 seconds delay between pressing a key and moving. Ignoring that, I thought the top down element of the game was solid and the random upgrade gave the gameplay a nice twist.
Pretty impressed by how much you got done here!!! The action was very frantic so "panic" is right! I liked the little text descriptions you gave when grabbing items or leveling up. I think you might want to include a way to go full screen because my only real issue was clicking outside of the window and losing it - if this was a single-player game I'd just say pause the action if you click outside, but obviously in an MMO that won't work. Otherwise this really has some intense gameplay!
