The graphics are simple and stylish, the effects of particles bring a lot.Cool music but the weapon upgrade system is a bit special, I found myself without being able to shoot a trump for this type of game! It lacks a little dynamism I think, can be added a little screen shake, and the ability to play the keyboard mouse!

I want to like this game, I really do. I even gave it a good rating. It's nice, it handles... rather well, I think I'm just bad a twin-stick shooters, it has nice sound design and a twist to the upgrade system. I feel like there is a degree of specialization and of strategy that is possible with these upgrades that could allow for different gameplay depending on the upgrades choices.
BUT it crashed my computer twice! And by crashed I mean straight-up turned it off without the slightest warning! Once just when I pressed play, once while loading level 3. I feel like this is a good game and I would want to play it a bit more but it seems there is a big problem between my computer and it.

I wanna play your game, but I have only Linux Mint on my machine. Couldn’t rate you. See our game (it’s multi-platform written on LibGDX)

@eclahn I realy don't understand why it don't work on your computer. It's an unity game, without weird tricks. It don't use a lot CPU and GPU power (around 5% CPU on my potato computer). What are your spec and do you have installed something that can be not compatible with the game ? That's realy weird. @iokin I'm going to make a webgl build before the end of the week with some small fixs. Come back when it's done :)
very good game, i found it interesting

@larnin I just edited my previous comment to make it clear I indeed don't think it's the game's fault and more likely a weird compatibility problem with my ailing computer. I couldn't tell you what's going on at all, I've played many other Unity games today and none gave me this result.
Wow! I like that visual style. Looking awesome. But unfortunately, I can't play. Do you have an html5 version?

Nice looking game, and I like the idea of the upgrade system, but I found it tricky to play. Holding the stick in one direction, shots would spray out at different angles, and it just made it really hard to dial in any accuracy, and not very satisfying to play.
I'm so sad to can't play the game because I have not controller... T.T

Super game and great artistic work. It's pretty hot but it's part of the gameplay;). I like the effects that there is in the game.
Well, I had what it took to test. However, the only advice I could give, would be to increase your chances of testing by offering the keyboard and even by proposing multiplatform (windows, linux) see web if possible. Although I know that some libs are not compatible.
Nice work anyway !!

Audio and graphics fit the mood perfectly. The upgrade system was a little hard to understand at first, but then I realised what to do. I found it a bit hard to aim with the controller (but maybe I'm just bad :P). Enemies were quite unique and challenging. Overall, great job!
Reminds me of Geometry Wars, love that game, this one deserves love too I find a little annoying the acceleration of the ship, but maybe it's only me.
The style of the game is cool! Here are some of my thoughts on the game:
- The music fit well and the sound effects were pretty good overall.
- The WASD controls felt a little strange since the ship can go directions it isn't pointing, but I kind of liked it as I played it more.
- The pacing of the game may be a little too slow. Even if you ramp a game up by the 5 minute mark, you may have lost most of your audience who was looking to get hooked in the first 30-60 seconds.
- I would have felt better playing this if I could simply point and click at the enemies while I maneuvered. Was the position locking of the reticle intentionally done to make the aiming harder?
Great job on the game!

For a twin stick shooter, the movement and bullet speeds are a little sluggish for my tastes, but certainly playable. The slower movement and bullet speeds did lend themselves more to the asteroids-ish theme the visuals seem to go for. There was plenty of variety of enemies and upgrades, a pretty impressive amount in fact for a game jam. This is the real highlight, I think.
The glowey arcade aesthetic is real cool, and the techno music and laser sounds fit right in.
Overall, I'm really impressed by how polished this game is. The gameplay is solid, and aesthetic sets it apart. Great job!
The visuals and sound were done well. It is a bit tricky to play with a keyboard/mouse setup. Aiming with the mouse is little clunky but you can get used to it. For these types of games, I would prefer a faster pace, maybe a little increase in firing rate and projectile speed to really get the satisfaction of hitting your targets. Hopefully there will be further development, I can see this game fit in the addicting-arcade category like geometry wars

Great game! Particle effects and artwork were gorgeous! Sound effects suited the retro aesthetic of the game very well. Some more visual effects such as screenshake when shooting could further improve how the game feels. When playing with a keyboard and mouse, I think it would work best if the mouse could move across the whole screen, rather then being tied towards the centre. Gameplay overall was awesome and hardmode is a great addition. Excellent work! :)

Fun game and very pretty. I enjoyed it. One thing that threw me was the little R icon (usually next to the enter symbol) didn't appear to represent right mouse, but space instead. Agree with comment on slightly faster pace being a potential improvement. Also wasn't all that enamored of the movement - felt like I should press "up" to go in the direction I faced. Minor things though - great job!
The game was fun and the sum of it's parts definitely made it even better. The music, particle effects, and the overall design really fit well. The movement was the only big thing that felt off, kept feeling like it took a little too long for me to change direction. Aside for that however great job!
Very nice graphics/visual and a good beat.
I think the game is solid but I have some gripes with it. I think that is progress too slowly. Low fire rate and low projectile speed makes it kinda boring in the beginning but picks up at later stages. I think just a bump in those areas would make the earlier stages much more fun. Another small thing is the fire spread, its get kinda annoying when the bullets don't really goes where you want them to.
It is really fun after a while, it just takes too much time to get there before it gets fun.

Thanks you all for your awesome feedbacks :D Yeah, the speed of the ship and his bullet is a little low at the beginning. I wanted to have a real progression between the start, and when you encounter the boss. Maybe i have pushed a little too much. @andy-garcia : For the controles you have a ship, it's normal that you can't turn instantaly. It work a little like an hovercraft :) @sh1rogane and others before : For the fire spread of the first weapon, it's a little complexe. If you have more than one weapon of the same type, you have a synergy that increase the power of this type. For the first weapon, the spread grow a little, but the global fire rate of this weapon is increased too. For the triple shoot, each bullet are duplicated if you have 2, 3 of this type. I must have used this synergy a little more (between different weapon type, or upgrade), but the game were going to be too complexe for a jam game .... and the balancing an horror movie.
I think the "running out of space" mechanic probably needs better explaining, as initially I had disabled my shots just by crushing it out. Each of the colors could do a little explanation as well.
There are a couple of areas that could be better balanced as well - the ships that dash at you are just crazy and unfair sometimes - you start the level and the next moment you're attacked. This is also tied into the screen feeling a little too zoomed in, as I was often hit by these offscreen ships that dashed right into me. The vertical part of the screen is generally smaller, so there's less ability to dodge whatever's incoming from the top and bottom of the screen.
Also at the end my ship was moving crazy fast and it was super sensitive to any movement. The shot effective distances travel very far and I was often shooting enemies offscreen guided by the reticle which is probably not the type of gameplay you want to encourage. The powerups did make it feel really fun but went a little too overpowered. Another thing as mentioned above, the start shooting speed is really slow although it picks up from there, would feel much more arcadey and actionlike if that could be faster from the get go.
Finally, a minor gripe would be that enemy shots are a little hard to distinguish from the multicolored shots strewn about.
Otherwise, I had great fun after understanding it better, loved the arcadey graphics and particle effects, nice soundtrack and especially loved that you worked in a boss fight at the end!
