LD34 — Two Button Controls / Growing

Last Chance To Green by Four Quarters 2015-12-15T11:37:00

Very atmospheric, congrats!

Slash Quest by Big Green Pillow ft Mgaia 2015-12-16T14:24:00

Art is awesome, music is well done, everything is adorably cute and funny. More levels would be cool, and maybe you could bend the rules a little bit and add a quit button.

There was An Old Woman... by Yumi and Zumi 2015-12-17T16:42:00

Change of game multiple game mechanics :)

Made it to the black hole, but then I right-clicked and the whole thing hanged - everything disappeared, only the background was still there.

Kubble by MemoryLeek 2015-12-15T20:47:00

Screenshots look real nice, I totally want to play it. Unfortunately, crashes on start every time.

Kubble by MemoryLeek 2015-12-16T13:59:00

Nice audio and nice minimalistic graphics, but goals are really obscure, in the first puzzle the flag isn't seen from the beginning. Needs more tutorial levels with gradual complexity increasing.

Go Fish by joekinglake 2015-12-17T16:20:00

Flappy fish :) Collecting a bigger flock is nice, would benefit from some flocking behaviour. Totally fits the theme.

Switcher by coywolf 2015-12-16T12:46:00

Good theme following, hard to master and can be fun, but you should build levels complexity more gradually, the first one probably should be just one switch.

Carrion Forge: Fusion Gunship by Dining Philosopher 2016-01-04T23:44:00

Lots of fun! Really hangs the first several times though, probably loading new assets.

OVERGROWN . UNDERFED by Almax27 2015-12-20T22:41:00

Nice plants! Unfortunately, still no music for me in web versions.

Swarm Hunter by HuvaaKoodia 2015-12-20T22:06:00

Yup, the controls are complicated. But after reading the manual I managed to fly around and even kill some enemies :)

Thrust by Lo-X 2016-01-04T23:25:00

Thanks for the Linux build! Good work!

Sphere Co.™ by kaype 2015-12-20T21:55:00

Nice work with NPC speeches and level design, great audio!

Growees by NickZangus 2015-12-17T11:21:00

"The Unity web player does not work on your system." Screenshots look nice, will find a windows machine to play it.

BAD WORMS by Moosefly 2015-12-17T11:14:00

Can't play windows-only games, will have to wait till our artist lets me play on his windows machine, and now he's busy. What are your means of development? Can it be ported?

Will be back :)

Impulse by Nega Drive 2015-12-16T13:00:00

Nice graphics and even better level patterns, surroundings variety means a lot. And there's an almost smooth music ending on game over. I played multiple times just to see what's coming next.

Poetry by metalchouchen 2015-12-16T13:11:00

I was able to kinda read it because I remember some narrator reading it, so it sounded in my head :) With more challenge added it's going to be a great game. For now, the coolest thing is seeing this 3D path all over the space. The idea of collecting words for the poem, or maybe "pieces of thought" or inspiration, this brings 5 stars for innovation from me.

Dragonic by jsmars 2015-12-15T19:12:00

Awesome graphics, I enjoyed every bit of it, even if the background stripe is a bit short. The lantern is particularly good.

Shivering by ztiromoritz 2015-12-17T16:52:00

Meditative it is :)

Apples stop falling after a short while.

Squirrel Forest by Luminar 2015-12-15T19:19:00

Doesn't run on my system, neither in fullscreen, nor in windowed mode, quits after resolution select screen, no error messages:

Hop On Home by m3games 2015-12-17T21:06:00

Shortie but goodie :) Best of luck with adding more levels/gameplay!

Grow The Hole by Elit3dGaming 2015-12-20T22:34:00

Nice mood, but probably needs more challenge!

Robotic Evolution by Dialglex 2015-12-23T21:25:00

Can't start, all I see is instructions screen, Java iced tea in browser.

Flip Flop Adventures by Nibbles Team 2015-12-17T11:23:00

Exits on start, no error messages.

Solstand by bloomingbuds 2015-12-16T22:01:00

Mood and graphics are super good! Sound fits perfectly. I'm not ashamed to admit, I didn't understand how to fill the fish basket after 5 games AND reading the explanation. Will play some more to discover more secrets.

Ending by marmpa 2015-12-16T12:30:00

Yup, 2 buttons it is, and it is quite hard. Not exactly obvious what grows - is that the movement force over time?

Spinning Around by DinnerInTheDark 2016-01-04T23:56:00

Finished it! Awesome!

2DCube Simulator by olety 2015-12-17T17:42:00

Played several times, all won :) Unfortunately, can't hear any audio from web player.

Grow Your Defense by gebirgsbaerbel 2015-12-16T12:17:00

I kinda like minimalism, so I rate mood highest :) But definitely not innovative.

Homeworld by Bumblepie 2015-12-17T11:18:00

Can't play, for web I only see a white screen with line "Unity Web Player | Arcade", have to wait till I get my hands on a windows machine.
Is that an example from Chipmunk2D I recognize? ;)

Will be back :)

Plutonium FREE by gokottastudio 2015-12-16T12:39:00

Nice art indeed, and camera work is often omitted in order to go faster, but you used it :) And yes, it's totally not obvious what you one should do.

The Ricochet by juaniBanaani 2016-01-04T23:37:00

Finished all the levels :) Good one!

Dungeon Surge by timeshapers 2015-12-20T22:21:00

Nice one. Definitely expand it! Requires a line or two of introduction, all the time while playing I was thinking "Who's this guy and why does he sift salt on the ground?" :D Probably it's magic.

Soup by utgarda 2015-12-15T02:23:00

Gameplay video: https://youtu.be/qmJTuZjxx8w

OX/X and Linux links are actually .jar files, so use them if you have Java installed

Soup by utgarda 2015-12-16T16:00:00

@timeshapers yeah, the balance needs tweaking. Still, even now you can prevent your death by recalling gatherers in time or trying to emit soldiers when purples are close :)

Soup by utgarda 2015-12-20T20:37:00

Thanks again, guys.

HuvaaKoodia, yes, you're totally right about that, we see that clearly for quite a while now. We're about to provide more stats - that mediates the issue with most stuff happening off-screen, making more units and, I guess now your detailed and fair criticism just made firm my intention to change purple cells behaviour. The easiest would be limiting their growth capacity, should improve the gameplay a lot.

Soup by utgarda 2015-12-21T14:14:00

Ardy: will do in post-LD version, coming soon.

Thank you guys!

Update: balance fixed in v0.1.1, randomness somewhat mitigated.

Parcube by Spartan Plume 2015-12-17T11:11:00

Nice retro, you can turn it into a keyboard training :)
Guys, seriously, you got to give Windows people a chance. Doesn't pygame work on Win/Mac? Also, please include an installation instruction, even if it is just installing pygame. Things like `pip install --allow-external pygame` didnt work for me, found it in repos instead.

Wild Growth by Leon Möhring 2015-12-17T17:15:00

Awesome minimalism, great mood!

Hatchling by Farelle 2015-12-16T22:23:00

Can't play, just black screen and a line "Unity Web Player | Hatchling". Firefox, Linux.

My RoboCaptain! by EternalCastleStudio 2015-12-17T17:26:00

The level starts with a well thought-through tutorial, that's cool!

Glutton by CalmKai 2015-12-16T14:38:00

Doesn't run in Firefox, Linux. All I can see is the line "Unity Web Player | Glutton". Other unity web submissions run ok so far.

Crashteroids by Rogod 2015-12-17T11:34:00

Guys, since you used free software, like Gimp and Java to create this, maybe you could package it for Linux, probably all you need is to put required .so files instead of .dll :)

[etsvigun@Jotunheim ludumdare34]$ java -jar Crashteroids.jar
Exception in thread "main" java.lang.UnsatisfiedLinkError: no lwjgl in java.library.path

Astro Cat Saga by Astro Cat 2015-12-16T22:08:00

Nice music! I think I found a bug - I moved the square and the astrokitty went overboard without a portal, and then the game was over.

The Climbers by NirabazGAMES 2015-12-16T22:20:00

Neat! Talking characters and really unexpected stuff falling down =) I'm pretty sure the only thing you need to make controls totally clear is just putting a "press and HOLD" line where controls are shown. Took me a while.

A Growing Threat by AM_Games 2015-12-16T15:03:00

Dark humor kinda saves the day :)
