The Game With Forced Financial Competitions Featuring Wizards and Demons by tater-hater 2024-04-17T17:47:40Z

that video was great, good game.

there are scaling issues in the windowed mode though - at first I didn't even notice the video and end screen text was also misaligned, until I entered fullscreen mode.

Summon-a-Spot by kuggenhoffen 2024-04-16T17:57:44Z

Interesting idea. I like the concept, but I wish the level end timer was a bit faster and that the car actually had a handbrake. I get that it's part of the challenge, but it felt more frustrating than fun when the car had barely functional brakes and rolling slightly out of the finish line meant the timer resetting again.

I'd love to try it again if you ever decide to update it.

Champion Road by Leo Nadeau 2024-04-16T18:05:01Z

Interesting game, although I kept falling off the stage whenever I tried to go fast. Not sure if there's a way I should be driving to be fast while also staying on the road. Love the vibe.

Blåkulla by Simon Rahnasto 2024-04-20T10:57:00Z

Great game, I had a lot of fun. I hope you can sort out the scaling issues at some point (I was using 125% scale until I noticed that things were cut off).

Also, you should put the Ludum Dare link on itch.io too, makes it easier to find the game from there. It was easier searching for games on itch and I remembered the name from a stream so I used that to look it up, but couldn't find the Ludum page right away.

Ritual Road by FreshD 2024-04-16T17:43:58Z

Windows build link doesn't seem to work.

Ritual Road by FreshD 2024-04-17T07:49:03Z

Nice, it does work now. I played it for a bit, it does look nice. I hope you can finish it eventually. I did have a one-time bug where I (assume that I) hit the next track part start and it felt like I hit an invisible wall. I was able to continue fine after I was forcibly stopped. Wasn't able to reproduce though, but it happened on the right side of the road.

My Little Demons by Kaish 2024-04-18T19:06:06Z

Fun platformer, I liked how there were multiple ways to solve levels. I wish there were volume sliders, though pressing the right mouse button feeled unnecessary seeing as it stayed active after summoning something. I sometimes got confused by this and accidentally summoned creatures.

Devilish Delivery by ABRDs 2024-04-16T18:16:54Z

Fun time waster with nice visuals. It did sometimes feel that the game doesn't always react properly when you drag the people up to the top things that turn them into different colours. Can they not be dragged right after you dragged one, or am I just having a skill issue?

Sinful Scoops by Blue Pin Studio 2024-04-20T16:14:48Z

my favourite ice cream is the eyes cream. fun game, but I suck at drawing pentagons and for some reason my wrath was usually confused for lust.

Air Fried Ice by MadR 2024-04-20T14:54:58Z

Simple idea, nice visuals. A little too slow paced for my taste, maybe some animations could be sped up. The text size for the tutorial could be larger, on my laptop screen it was hard to read. Is there an ending to this game, or is it just rounds endlessly?

Pictomancer by RobLaro 2024-04-21T07:03:22Z

Cool game, but I wish it had a small in-game tutorial. I came from the itch page and had no idea what I had to be doing until I saw the description on this page.

Helldrivers by torte478 2024-04-16T18:23:53Z

I feel like the game could've used a tutorial. I can see a lot of thing,s but I'm not sure what I have to actually do.

Would be nice if bus stops were signaled slightly earlier too and the bus was more in the middle of the screen - it was a little hard to follow right now.

The UI looks cool though.

Vocatio by Mantsje 2024-04-20T12:38:33Z

Cool idea of casting spells by drawing them, seen it quite a few times in this jam but it's always cool. Graphics are nice too. I also have some feedback/bugs to report. The scrolling text also exposes the HTML tags like while it's still typing them, which is probably unintentional. Noticeable in Level 1 intro. I also wish the tutorial stayed for a bit longer. I was still trying to figure out how to draw the shapes properly as they weren't getting detected (this might've been my skill issue and not the game), but then I had no more cheat sheet just after one level. I also wish you could see cooldowns in levels other than just one. I also had a hard time running away and also drawing perfect circles or arrows to cast spells. I saw some games have a slow-mo mode when casting spells, maybe that could work here? As I mentioned above, I did have issues with the gesture recognition, but it could be that I just can't draw, and not a game issue.

Good job on the game though, it's cool!

Ancestor Rain by ELLISBUG 2024-04-16T04:50:14Z

Thanks for the feedback, we really appreciate it! It's nice to see people like our game.

I also made a small hotfix for a minor visual issue that could happen when unfocusing on the level end screen and also fixed a tiny issue with audio sliders.

Also, about controls: while it's not listed, WASD, IJKL and Arrow keys on keyboard and D-Pad and face buttons on controller are all valid inputs. We just decided to go with arrows for the visuals as they felt like they'd be understood the easiest across different input devices.

Ancestor Rain by ELLISBUG 2024-04-18T14:41:17Z

@sariiger The max score for the first level is 1895 and for the second it's 2175. The way the grading works is that each "great" hit gives you 10 points, makes the frog smile and spawns the flame particles. A "good" hit gives you 5 points and a miss plays a sound effect and makes the frog sad. I think you might've gotten two "goods", which is why you didn't get 100%. It is a bit hard to tell though, the feedback for "good" hits could've been better. I'm actually having trouble myself getting 100%, but I do know it should technically be possible. Also, after 20 combo, you get +5 points per correct note, and holds give 20 points on top of the initial 5-10.

@konstantinreed yeah, we tried to go with a song that would fit "summoning", so it's not very upbeat.

Ancestor Rain by ELLISBUG 2024-04-19T19:37:37Z

@Lenne yeah, I wasn't sure how long the music select guide should stay on screen for. I wanted it to be there for long enough for people to read, but short enough so you can see the entire background without any distracting UI elements.

Ancestor Rain by ELLISBUG 2024-04-21T10:25:16Z

@nadia-pixel what didn't work exactly? The audio or pressing buttons? I haven't had anyone report an issue like this before. I know that audio may not work for some people in the Web build, but the native Windows or Linux version should work. If you're on OSX, then I don't have builds for that because any builds I attempt to do for it don't seem to work on actual machines.

Sum on! by altaf-creator 2024-04-20T16:22:01Z

played for a bit. fun little idea, but i'd like if modifiers could be more positive. Every time I got a modifier, it just either made my score negative or divided my score, which just meant that if I wanted to win I had to avoid all modifier numbers and only go for normal ones. puns are always nice

nice and simple game though.

WIP (actual game name) by ThomasVenner 2024-04-17T17:24:29Z

Cool take on the summoning theme. Some levels could actually be completed without summoning anything, just needed to parkour a little.

Summon Glow by Ron88 2024-04-17T08:21:56Z

played for a bit, it was a nice time waster.

waiting for the improved framerate update though.

Pöörased mütsid by Kaspar 2024-04-18T18:37:37Z

Interesting idea, but the game's pretty confusing. I can't really figure out how the patterns are supposed to work. A tutorial would've been great to have. Also, as said above, should've probably made it in English.

Summoned Survivor by Jaxah 2024-04-18T20:19:54Z

Interesting idea, although it shows that it's not really finished. It does remind me of Vampire Survivors, although I've never actually played it before. The firing system is cool.

Spirit Chant by Liisa l 2024-04-18T16:15:18Z

nice art style, but I wish the prompts actually matched the audio, they seem to be off beat

Manku the Magician by PorChor 2024-04-20T10:39:09Z

A very polished and nice experience. I did feel like the hand sometimes could've been a little more generous, for example for kicking off buckets it sometimes felt like it should've kicked it away, but it didn't. Still impressive though.

A Following Wind by digitaliliad 2024-04-18T15:11:12Z

fun little game, although it could've used a short tutorial - I had no idea what to do at first until I decided to actually read the game page

Hellish Hassle by 66nesryytel 2024-04-18T18:33:58Z

Visuals are nice, but could use a tutorial or some more explanations - the staff thing wasn't very clear from playin the game.

ColorMon by FloweryAndy 2024-04-20T16:43:31Z

One small thing I noticed is that it would probably be a good idea to have a max length for the names. beemovie.png

Grave Mistake by Suksu 2024-04-15T15:36:29Z

Dashing around is pretty fun, although sometimes I felt that enemies attacking you isn't visible enough (as they just seem to walk into you instead of having some kind of an attack animation). Art is nice too.

Slipping Away by Marlen 2025-04-07T14:07:32Z

Thanks for the feedback! I've pushed an update that hopefully improves the platforming experience.

The controls are also "normal" now, left goes left and right goes right.
