LD26 — Minimalism

Truth Only by OrangeeZ 2013-04-30T11:56:00

Great job considering the time frame!

Metahotel by Christian S. 2013-05-02T09:09:00

Got me a few seconds to figure out there was a color cycle - I just thought the colors were kind of random for the first few levels.

Be Still by metadept 2013-04-29T20:39:00

It tends to crash if I just hit space bar and hold, but if I first sit and stand up a few times and then proceed to hold the space bar it works ok.

Minga-Me by blay09 2013-04-29T10:55:00

Very interesting idea.

Minimala Jones & The Raiders Of The Lost Art by krutech 2013-04-29T11:12:00

Perhaps it's not the most original game ever, but considering the time it is impressive you have been able to do it.

(Follow the) Line by Chman 2013-04-29T20:34:00

Simple game but very fun, congratulations!

Pointcom: The 1-Page Minimalist Game by NRathbone 2013-05-06T17:48:00

Nice! I don't have time to play the game but I like the idea, alot. I would probably prefer the roles to be more inspiring but since I did not play I can't really tell how well these work.

Less than Shadows by Cosine 2013-05-06T16:50:00

The concept is very nice however I was struggling more with the imprecise controls then with the games theme.

AlterSpace by guestcheap 2013-04-29T12:02:00

The best entry I played so far. Editing makes it a bit too easy, but otherwise this is a very nice, inventive and polished game

OnlyOne by mrexcessive 2013-05-08T22:16:00

Simplicity that quickly builds towards complexity - great!

Employment by Fabien Porée 2013-04-29T12:28:00

Not that much to do with the compo theme (aside from presentation), but an interesting game on its own. Shame you did not manage to get sprites in.

Psychodelic Disco Maze by admund 2013-05-01T21:49:00

Ouch... my eyes! Brilliant in its simplicity.

My Little Robo by m64 2013-04-29T11:40:00

Thanks! Unfortunately this was my first time using chipmunk (first LD too), so I did not get the physics to be as stable as I wanted - got a few bugfixing ideas late in the development, but it was too late to incorporate them into the entry.

Hatchet by mackthehobbit 2013-04-29T10:26:00

How do I use the shops?

Minimalism Tower Defense by Rubricet 2013-04-29T13:00:00

Very nice game. There is an easy winning strategy where you place an explosive tower at the level entry, however overall this is a great production for 48 hours.

JumpyBOT by Hackingroelz 2013-05-15T20:55:00

It ran on my Windows 7 64bit, so I guess this might be a Java version problem.

Dodge by Copix 2013-05-06T19:22:00

Funny game. I don't understand what are the lips supposed to be. You need lips to eat potatoes? Or something like this?

Colors by oyster_crusher 2013-05-06T18:52:00

Lost Vikings of color! Great concept and game. One of the few entries I finished out of pure intellectual enjoyment of the puzzle.

Dehoarder by SmilingCat 2013-04-29T11:37:00

Great approach to subject. Seems a bit unbeatable though... perhaps this is the message?

Mondrianalism by TrahDivad 2013-04-29T21:32:00

Probably the most interesting use of the Piet Mondrian composition style out of all such games I played so far in this LD.

OptiWars by therealeek 2013-05-06T17:07:00

Overall a very nice game, high production level for such a time scale. Unfortunately it is easy to exploit AI weakness by buying a single rocket launcher and using it to take down everything (except for the enemy launchers) from long distance.

Fight Kub by ErwanOfil 2013-05-06T17:19:00

Great game, the controls are a bit sloppy and when playing against computer it is too easy to exploit the non-existent path finding, but other than that great. I liked how many arenas you've made.

Physix-Breaker by Kashi 2013-05-06T18:59:00

I like the idea of using physics based gameplay with a classic game type. The music was getting a bit irritating after a minute or so.

Pixel Dominoes by Pinkerator 2013-05-06T16:42:00

A short info about the rules would be nice, but I managed to figure it out easily enough. Overall a well done entry.

BFFPP(best friends forever pew pew) by Goodeats 2013-05-15T20:49:00

Nice idea, however the behavior of the sphere combined with its size make it rather difficult to keep it alive for more than a few seconds.

Unst by Milo 2013-04-29T21:47:00

Brilliant simple, dare I say minimal, rules that generate complex and mentally challenging gameplay.

MinTato - A Boardgame by Xam 2013-04-29T21:50:00

Hmm... actually someone made a board game after all! Or perhaps you just have great 3d models of potatoes!

a-mazing TowerDefense by Zelosfan 2013-04-29T22:03:00

Overall rather nice. I think there is a bug that if you block off all paths with brown blocks the path finding does not work and so the mobs stop coming.

Catch the Falling Things by pvg 2013-05-15T20:44:00

Good idea of using the physics for gameplay, however tweaking the parameters a bit would help the game a lot, currently keeping stuff on top of the platform is just too hard.

The Migration by semi 2013-04-29T13:12:00

Very nice and interesting, if a bit chaotic at times
