This game totally deserves to have a screenshot on the game page. Visual style, atmosphere and slowly developing story - this all makes me feel that I'm playing something more than a small jam game. Outstanding work!

Really solid game as usual, the city is really nice visually and gives off a good moody atmosphere. Had a bit of trouble getting used to the controls, felt a bit sensitive sometimes, especially when trying to navigate into the home hive area.

andrground 2023-05-02 23:26

wow, the mood in this game is actually superb. the view on the city is astounding, amazing graphics and sound design! gameplay is kind of boring not gonna lie, wish there was more variety but personally for me the world itself makes up for it

digital-bacon 2023-05-03 11:30

This was fantastic! The mood is set perfectly my the grim graphics and ambient music, and I was impressed with the rain effects. It's a pity you didn't get time to add story to this.

Great effort!

nathramn 2023-05-03 13:17

it looks amazing but i think the game need more athmosphere like more structures at background and some lights in windows, without lights it seems like it's not under quarantene, like if it's just abandoned. But anyway it's good game. Like it! :)

I discovered you and your style last ludumdare, so I figured I'd check out what you've been up to this time.

I'm commenting on the jam version as it is the one that I'm rating but I'll play the improved version after that. As always you have the mood thing down.

I can give you one advice that comes out of my graphics engineer background : Maybe you know about this, but you are using a depth based fog effect that uses the depth values of the depth buffer to determine fog density. This is what causes the changes in fog density at the sides of the screen when you are rotating. If you want to improve this effect, you should consider using a distance based fog effect, that determines the density of the fog based on the effective distance to the camera position (sounds similar, but in reality the values are totally different). I don't know how to setup this in unity but you should be able to figure it out with the information I gave you. In my opinion this change would improve immersion a lot in this kind of open environment ;)

This game has really calm but nostalgic feel to it. I must say that this game has hit me hard with the similarity to the bombed cities of Ukraine. The atmosphere is so chill and haunting at the same time, it truly captures the essence of what it was like to live through these times. With drones alone, and no people, you can feel the tragedy. It's rare to find a game that captures the reality with such powerful emotions, without even intending to. Thank you for creating such a deep and moving experience.

tvorojok 2023-05-03 16:06

what can I say? you yourself know that you have created a better atmosphere and the opportunity to transport geese

tildecat 2023-05-03 16:47

Wow! Amazing game! Atmosphere was fantastic! Changing color by weather is cool.

majadroid 2023-05-03 18:41

Wow, you created such an amazing atmosphere. The visuals work really great. I love it. And storywise it is deep enough for a game jam game. One of the best games I've seen here so far. The only little downside is, that the main game loop feels a bit repetitive - but, hey, that's the way a drone's life is ;)

You've got a new follower ;)

aghoulprince 2023-05-03 19:17

I loved the art and atmosphere!!!

xk-the-name 2023-05-03 20:38

I loved the concept and the atmosphere. I can see an amazing concept for a game where you deliver and read letters of people in 1984 like world.

jasonsumm1 2023-05-03 21:00

Really solid! Amazing work, loved it

ismael-rodriguez 2023-05-04 04:10

Very cool visual style. Love the simplicity of the controls. As much as I loved to coast through the game, it did begin to wear out its welcome. Wind currents, acid rain, Battery Life (BOTW style stamina mini-game?), Delivery weight, Hostile Drones, some kind of gameplay mix-up would have been nice.

Part of me wishes it wasn't so doom and gloom because it really is a delivery done wonderscape lol. The city looks amazing. Although some of the building titles seemed too "on the nose", like Casino could have been something like "High Roller's Lounge", and Bar could have been "Riley's Pub" or something, just a small nitpick. :)

Anyway, great job! Congrats!

I loved the visuals and the overall mood. The old school models and texture really add a lot to the shaders. I love that you didn't just leave it black and white and put us through multiple colors. (Also the person chilling with the duck is so relaxed that they aren't affected by acid rain or the apocalypse, and i respect that)

bastinus-rex 2023-05-04 21:13

I love the atmosphere and rendering !! Splendid <3

ironcutter 2023-05-05 01:06

The visual atmosphere is great, and I liked the UI showing target and current coordinates. It felt like the control mapping could be better putting rotation on mouse or arrow keys, and I honestly did not get what was so "dark" with the world: they have wind turbines and an extremely efficient delivery system, how bad can this society possibly be? Anyway It really has a neat vibe! Good job!

droo-shayne 2023-05-05 06:19

As someone who has dabbled in FPV simulators recently, I really like the simplistic drone gameplay this game has to offer! The monochrome aesthetic is cool and works well with the mechanical worker drones flying in the air. It would be cool if there was some other challenge to the game other than the deliveries, but overall I liked the feel of flying around the world. The UX feel on the drone itself is great- you can feel it leaning into whatever direction you start moving in.

saltysa 2023-05-05 20:11

This game was suggested to me on itch.io and I'm really glad it was. I loved how atmospheric it was and how well it carried a story while still being minimalistic. The controls were really satisfying, and felt very "drone-like". I also liked that we could see our fans/wings ?

It's in my top 3 games of this jam.

saffeine 2023-05-06 02:50

super amazing atmosphere! The setting and audio was really cool and moody and the game was easy to play, great job!

badpiggy 2023-05-06 14:46

As the others have pointed out, incredible and unmatched sense of mood and atmosphere. Flying around in the drone was fun, though I felt like precision control when you needed to land or pick up a package could have been a little better.

Regardless, great game. That ending sorta caught me off gaurd as well lol.

lisek-gagatek 2023-05-06 21:33

Phenomenal visuals and mood, the best I have seen so far in the jam, I just love the artistic direction of this. However outside of those, the game is not that great. Controls are very floaty, the game doesn't require much movement, but picking up packages was not that easy - the controls were imprecise. I also don't like the fact that all of the keybindings are for the single hand.

However, with better controls and more things to do gameplay-wise, I think it would make for an awesome game outside of the jam, if you decided to continue development. GJ!

francis 2023-05-06 21:42

Really amazing atmosphere and mood~ the gameplay got very repetitive quickly though, and I wish there were more things to change it up as the game progressed.

merdeboi 2023-05-07 08:22

Really nailed the atmosphere - visuals and audio are top tier. Drone controls are good, not too hard to stop and move exactly where you want to. I also made a drone game about delivering packages

machinescreen 2023-05-08 17:51

Incredible atmosphere and mood for a jam game. The visual style is also top notch and fits perfectly. Obviously it's not the most 'fun' gameplay-wise but I don't think that matters - it's clearly not pitching for 'fun' in the first place. Overall one of my favourites of the jam.

ardorugus 2023-05-09 04:48

Boy, it gets depressive! Some neon, more sci-fi, and there's more of a Bladerunner vibe. Anyway, very atmospheric sim, thank you!

arsher 2023-05-09 18:51

Graphics and atmosphere, my respect. The game mechanics are rather boring and primitive, but the game looks great. Great work.

torolchuk 2023-05-12 16:52

Absolutely love the thick atmospear of your game. I don't know how did you do your shaders, but they are really good. Drone feels nice to fly as well. Great prototype that can be a great game if some more mechanics added.

co5monaut 2023-05-15 09:30

This game is more than just a small jam game. The visuals, atmosphere, and story development make it outstanding. Totally deserves a screenshot on the game page!

icxon 2023-05-16 08:59

That ending though.

Damn. The music, the graphics, the controls, the atmos, you smashed it!

This is sooo cool!

Very terminator feeling like.

Its very good. You've done an amazing job :D

picross 2023-05-17 05:11

Insanely my cup of tea. Incredible vibe and story delivery. I love these types of games where a messed up story is told to you through gameplay over the course of an experimental narrative vibe-y game. Post processing, environment, design all incredible. It would be cool if you added a 6DOF-style movement system like Descent, but i kinda like how robotic the drone's movement feels in this version. Great work!
