Nice visual style.
Pretty simple idea, awesome execution! Loved the music/audio. Really funny game.
I enjoyed the loop, but with increasing speed and clones. It got wild as soon as I started to lap my clones! Fun game.
@ismael-rodriguez Thank you so much for your feedback! We definitely had similar thoughts to some of your suggestions for future improvement in the UI department, and you elaborated even more in some areas. I really like the way you have it mocked up for the action loop- ty for that :) Also, much appreciated criticism. We're excited to tweek alot of things post-jam.
funny/disturbing, nice
I really like this game! Awesome idea using the theme, nice Aztec aesthetic, cool thrill/fuel mechanic, good sound design/feedback. The noises people make when they fly out of their seats are hilarious.
A few small issues: camera zooms out painfully far when the loop resets and doesn't go back in very quickly. Also it is really interesting visually, but the camera tilting everywhere is a little nauseating. It seems riders have to land in unique seats to get back, rather than just land anywhere on the cars, which is cool, but also maybe rewards safer playstyles?
Overall, the good very much outweighs my nitpicks! Awesome game!
Awesome trebuchet sim! The tutorial dialogue at the beginning was both helpful and funny. Maybe consider tuning down some of the effects- the environment was a little too bright and shimmery, and I couldn't read the white text without moving my camera often. Something else that could make the game less trial-and-error-ish could be to add some kind of indicator that allows the player to have a rough idea of where the package will land. I know animating an arc like this may defeat some of the game's purpose, but anything that could help the player better learn the timings of when to release could make it more fun. Overall, cool game.
Nice job with no engine. I think I agree that this could best be improved with some balancing, as it feels tedious to make those first few deliveries with no speed increases. But the core idea of making deliveries and powering up while being chased by zombies is nice. I'd love to see the same thing with some rebalancing and a faster pace.
Nice entry! I really like that you added an entire level editor and allow players to upload levels. Super impressive! Since you clearly took the direction of allowing simple stages to be able to be created by all, I would say leaning into that and focusing on making the controls tighter for this tunnel kind of gameplay would make this game stand out more. Little things like making the camera stick closer to the vehicle would be helpful too, as we don't need to see all the space behind us.
I really liked the look and sound of this game. The controls felt good. My one complaint is that the boss fight felt tedious. Also some stronger feedback for your bullets hitting the boss would be great for the game's feel.
I really like the pixel art in this one! The forest imagery is really nice. The pathing does feel a little clunky on collisions, but I got used to it fairly quickly. The character interactions were humorous and their riddles were enjoyable- I liked dealing with the potions in particular! Now I just want to know what's at the top of that wizard's tower...
Wow, what a clean submission. This is super polished! I liked how simple the controls were, and how easy it was to just, get it. Including outbound mail was really cool, as to mix up gameplay a bit. Environment hazards that make you drop all your mail was great too. If there is any kind of critique I had, maybe it would be to perhaps add some kind of variation in the gameplay, as endlessly racking up points can feel tedious (my game is similar in that regard ;D). One super simple thing that could look good in this game would be to add (probably minimal) parallax- I feel that it could give a little bit of depth to the game, but also I could definitely understand if you'd want to keep a more entirely flat look to it. Great submission!
I liked the simplicity of this one and how it still tends to be spooky/unsettling despite the pattern of adding things to the cauldron. One recommendation I have, would be to perhaps add some kind of final punch at the end, whether it would be some creepy illustration of the couple at the end, or maybe something more subtle. Neat game!
Although it's fairly simple and you were busy, it's awesome you still did something for the jam! I liked how there were text prompts for the different parts of the worlds, rather than just warping from dimension to dimension only.
@diego-teran I totally see it, will have to check it out! Looks cute.
I was not sure what to expect with this game from interaction to interaction, but I like how cursed this game is lol. The art for each creature and the "fruit" at the end was very nice! I would have liked to have seen more if it- it's a great art style. Some critique is that it was difficult to tell at times what tiles were walkable or not, so maybe try choosing more distinct tiles for this purpose. Also any other indicators as to what needs to be done in turns of narrative would be helpful. And consider removing anything that isn't used- such as pretty much all of the inventory (I'm sure this must be possible through rpg maker). This confuses the player into thinking there are more items such as armor that never appears in the game. Overall, nice game.
As someone who has dabbled in FPV simulators recently, I really like the simplistic drone gameplay this game has to offer! The monochrome aesthetic is cool and works well with the mechanical worker drones flying in the air. It would be cool if there was some other challenge to the game other than the deliveries, but overall I liked the feel of flying around the world. The UX feel on the drone itself is great- you can feel it leaning into whatever direction you start moving in.
I basically feel the same as the above comment. The dialogue gives this game more character than if it had none, but it could be made easier to handle if the text was maybe closer to the center/more readable. Nice fun and short game.
Nice game. I think the challenge was just right for me. I liked the snappy back and forth clicking between left and right click for both hands. The 2nd level's music was nice. And the delayed scream from player falling to their death was hilarious it got me every time!
Kamrad needs to regenerate health between levels please! And some hit-connected SFX would do wonders! Very funny game, could just use some polish. I liked how goofy it looked and enjoyed the first person fistfights.
It was a little difficult trying to understand what I was supposed to do in this game. The lighting could have been more generous and the flashlight controls could have been made simpler by using the mouse to point. Also I ran out of fuel at one point, but only for one axis. I was unable to do anything until I ran out the fuel on the other axis, then was given the option to restart. Interesting concept with the flare though from what I could gather!
Btw, I also had issues with discrepancies between lighting in my game's HTML5 version and windows, so I'm curious about that too! It looks like lighting/shadows are weaker for some reason. I tried toggling some setting with no use.
