That menu transition is sick! Spend ages just clicking back and forth haha! Pretty crazy to get a whole level editor done in such a short amount of time! Really cool and pretty well featured too. I made a cursed track - you should try it out it's called 'puck'

I really like the main menu style and the fact you can make your own maps?! The controls felt good, some real WipeOut vibes! More racers and powerups would be amazing too! The music was super energetic, good work! The graphics were super good too!

Fantastic UI design. Audio design is awesome too, and the music you used was funky. The car didn't control too well at high speeds, but hey ho still fun. Impressive map editor too

Cool game! UI is awesome, map creator is a surprise, very cool.

Okay, there are some great things in here! I love the menu, it is really well designed looks awesome. However, the race part of the game has some shortcomings that are a bit frustrating to play through - the turning mechanics don't feel like a traditional inertia-based movement system, so it's a bit unwieldy to control with mouse and keyboard. If you added some drifting I think that would help. The spline system for the tracks also does not really play nice, giving some really abrupt changes that are hard to see with the low resolution of the track textures. I would think that adding some more detail to the track textures somehow might help fix that, since there is still a fun challenge in making it work well! I love tube-racing style games, though, and this is a great start for one! Absolutely LOVE the idea of making your own maps using resources from your gameplay, and with some more helpful tooltips it would be pretty easy to use! Good work here!

Impressive amount of work for a game jam ! I've spend almost an hour making my own level and trying other ones, the level design feature and sharing with other players is an absolute blast ! The game itself plays well, giving Trackmania vibes, and the controls are just tight enough to ensure long replayability. Excellent job, on the gameplay and technical features, but also on graphics and music. My favorite so far !

Very slick menu animations/transitions! This was a pretty fun one, though I do feel that the controls were a little too unforgiving as even the _tiniest_ tap of a key to turn would often cause my ship to overcorrect and send me straight into a wall. Perhaps it would play better on an analog stick, but even still, it's totally doable to make it less uncontrollable on the keyboard without reducing the skill required. Perhaps something as simple as reducing the angular momentum imparted by the keypress the faster the player is going? That aside, really cool you guys managed to get a level editor in! That's not something a lot of jam games have. Well done.

Excellent game bro!! Sometimes it is frustrating to see the delivery package is always falling done when crashing!! I can't believe you guys made a level editor in 3 days!

Overall, great submission!

Nice entry! I really like that you added an entire level editor and allow players to upload levels. Super impressive! Since you clearly took the direction of allowing simple stages to be able to be created by all, I would say leaning into that and focusing on making the controls tighter for this tunnel kind of gameplay would make this game stand out more. Little things like making the camera stick closer to the vehicle would be helpful too, as we don't need to see all the space behind us.

Implementing a whole level editor for a jam game is really impressive. And then being able to play each others levels is even more cool! :O For a jam like Ludum Dare, where a lot of people play each others games, I think it is always really nice if there is some interaction possible between different people who played your game, and this is a great execution of that. Really well done :D

The game also played really nicely. I had to balance speed and controlability at all times, which was a fun choice to make. Sometimes the uncontrolability felt a bit unpredictable (a small tap would already steer a lot, or a small bump in the road would send me flying), but it kind of fit the vibe of the game, so I was not too annoyed at it :) The music was a great choice I think.

Really impressive submission and a lot of fun. Thanks for making it! :D

I really like this game style!) I think it was so hard to make it in 3 days. But you done it! Great job

I really liked the vibe of this game. Who knew that trying to keep a box in a space truck was so much fun. It is cool, you kind of have to know the maps to determine how to navigate them so I had to play each one a few times before I got it. the time mechanic also made me try to optimize my route. Overall I really liked this game. Great job!

The graphics look really well-polished, especially the UI, but I feel like the game tended to freeze up at times, especially when starting a new level or even when dropping the deliveries. I didn't try the level editor myself, but it's really impressive that you guys even managed to do it.

seraphyi 2023-05-10 15:30

Really like how you can go really fast but then make sure not to drop the package, it's exiting. I've completed a couple of tracks and made my own. It's fun to spend time in the editor and then test the track. Controls took a bit of getting used to because left/right are different when you're hovering compared to gliding, but after a bit of playing they were fine

chailotl 2023-05-13 03:29

Oh wow, how'd you manage to get a whole level editor and user-generated content in time for ludum dare? :o I really like the concept

pyspher9 2023-05-13 03:35

I can tell that you all put a lot of effort into this. This game is well done and fun. The fact that you even had a level editor was amazing! I tried to level editor first because I didn't know what it was and I was really confused about what was happening and what any of the pieces did. The directions were also kind of hard to read there. The menu and notification sound was little overdone.

Something that seemed off was, I was able to run out of time and still complete my delivery on the first level by skidding through the goal. Also if I ran out of time and _then_ dropped my package, I would get the notification for both. I feel like one was enough.

However, all of that being said, I still love this game. The physics feel really smooth and I can see that you all took "speed run" head on and really used the physics to bring out a challenging speed runner game that keeps you trying to get a better time.

Music was interesting too! Thank you all for taking the time to make this!
