Great game about a utopian society where the trains have 10 second headways
Total chaos at Choo Choo crossing - but I loved every second of it! Melodious music, awesomme art, amazing gameplay Some wonky things happen if you try to drag passengers across the river instead of the bridge, but overall a very fun and very polished game.
This game is so much fun! My favorite part is the end!
This game is seriously seriously SERIOUSLY impressive, the game feels amazing to play, the visuals are intensely adorable, the music is 10/10. I could easily see this as a modern couch coop classic. Awesome entry
The music was great! shoutout to whoever did the vocals. amazing game overall as well :) loved the chaotic energy
This is an extremely polished entry! I love all of your little dudes, the smooth camera and the text system. Gets chaotic in a good way.
Loved everything about this game, looks amazing like a full release for steam, great work
Just wow. This has got to be the most complete and polished Ludum Dare game I've ever played. It really felt like a level of a fully released indie game. The art and visual design is amazing and the music fit perfectly. Absolute 10/10 entry.
Didn't know they were making triple-I games at LD Jam. Because that's what this game fees like, it's AWESOME!
Haha, train go CHOOOOO. Loved it, only critique was that I didn't feel like I was that much able to properly control my character though I think that could be chalked down to me using a keyboard instead of a controller.
Amazing work! Total chaos by the end and I loved it. Also great camera work and an insane amount of polish.
Wow! This game is a ton of fun! Nice work
One of my favorite games I've played this entire jam!! I love the art, the music, the sounds, the mechanics, very enjoyable mayhem.
This is absolute chaos. Definitely the best game I've played during the jam yet. The pure chaos and stress in the end gave me goosebumps lmao. The music, sprites and gameplay all were incredibly polished. Congrats! I would love to see where this game could go if it's expanded upon with more levels
Is the song available on Youtube or another streaming platform? :eyes:
@ritz1231 Thank you so much! I usually put together an album for each Ludum Dare I do. I am still working on the cover art for Bandcamp :)
It will be uploaded at https://alto13.bandcamp.com/ if you want to follow in the meantime. I'll also be posting a blog on here announcing it.
The gameplay was really hilarious hahaha, I just gave a very high grade for humor. The arts and style are good, and I was really impressed by the very completed UI and gameplay tutorial. Everything was so smooth and it was a great experience.
very smooth and satisfying expirience!
This is an incredible piece of work right here! Wow, where do I start? Visually beautiful, fantastic audio, fun and frantic gameplay.. I could go on! 10/10
Woah, amazingly done entry! I really loved the character designs - they were simple but conveyed a lot of personality. And the sound design was excellent, I loved the way it integrated with the credits. OH! and also major props to any team that has time to implement onboarding for their jam game.
The only thing I can think of that I would've liked is if there was some sort of display to let you know how much of the day is left. Towards the middle, I wasn't sure if the game was endless or if I had something I was working towards - but once the message told me the sun was setting I kept going until the end. Other than that, super solid entry!
Also throwing passengers around felt great  *(I may have thrown several of the red guys into the river out of frustration)*
@joeshanahan re: time of day - Aaaa I wanted that too!!!! I originally had this plan for a clock that would pop up "hourly" in the top left:

and then you would hear a station announcement (which would just be me rambling about ducky ponds etc) hahaha
Edit: here are [some of my](https://vocaroo.com/1cNfkeUC8jpa) dumb [announcement](https://vocaroo.com/1iRkX0S04IB2) voice lines that got cut ðŸ˜
Really cool. I love the tutorial bits to get me started quickly. I'm not sure if I missed an explanation on the "bad guys" slapping the passengers. Looks like you can throw the red ones in the river to make them disappear? Well executed, polished, great mood. Lovely.
Chaotic, hilarious, and thrilling - I had a blast! Loved the option to play with a controller. Everything feels super cohesive; the visuals, audio, and gameplay all work together amazingly. Here's my best score:

Very pretty to look at, and the audio built to a wonderful crescendo at the end as the chaos mounted up. I was actually a bit frustrated with the keyboard controls at first since everything is on a diagonal angle it made it difficult to launch the passengers (pressing W+A+E all at once is a pain). Using the mouse and realising I could just spam throwing rapidly helped alleviate this.
Overall though it's an incredibly polished game for a jam and I enjoyed my time with it.
5/5 Very fun and chaotic experience! The music towards the ending is something in the top level! Love it so much!
I like when game can let me throw people, everything else was of course designed very well and it felt well thought out.
Kicking lazy passengers around is so much fun! The game looks great and the music gets better and better.
Super chaotic... I did not know what was happening with some of the passengers, but I had fun throwing them around. I also especially liked the music at the end!
Following up with @ritz1231 and anyone else who is interested! The soundtrack is now available to download on [my bandcamp.](https://alto13.bandcamp.com/album/choo-choo-crossing-original-soundtrack) Enjoy!
Great soundtrack and art style. Super smooth controls! I really want to try the local co-op later. Really fun game!!!
Amazing job!
Great game. I think I accidentally drowned a passenger in the river. It just stood there under water. But I kicked them out of there and it seemed like they were moving again, so I'm not a murderer
Very fun game! I love when a fat guy lands directly inside the train  Once in a frenzy hitting some guys landed on the other side of the train  Good job!
This is excellent, super charming graphics, gameplay and music (although it felt a bit quiet in-game?). Exactly the kind of game that deserves a post-jam (or even full) version.
damn guys this was AMAZING. you both did a great job! loved the chaos at the end, but it was kinda difficult to manage all passengers, haha. game seems to be very polished and finished, so i had a really fun experience by playing it! and the graphics.. stunning, incredible, fabulous, etc. loved the main soundtrack! good job!!!
The music is astounding! Overall a really good game, late sages were quite chaotic it was hylarious
Whaaa that was ways harder than I thoughted, where night comes chaos follow x)
It's a very cool entry ! I like music/audio very much :) It's a bit annoying to get stuck under the bridge, but the elastic arms were very fun !
153 HAPPY PASSENGERS... this was very nice, but I really didn't expect what would happen at night and it was a disaster. in a good way. Audio and music perfect.. sometimes I lost my character but that's probably the only thing I can fault the game for.. very nice piece of game:)
Oh man. The low-poly style and chill, but upbeat music definitely gave me some Katamari vibes. That's NEVER a bad thing.
Hey guys, really love the graphic style! And UI approach as well. Well done!
