Oct 19 19:00:04 MalWar ♥ 2 Malwar- good music fun graphics. adjective noun wasn't immediately clear as i first tried large carrot , then large explosion haha I love the addng other terminals and all the other uprade features like the autocomplete and dictionary scanner. Definitely a good one i can come back to!!!!
Oct 19 19:07:00 6m 56s Hail Mary ♥ 1 A good addicting space theme gam, I like the simple retro UI. Really good challenge! I couldn't quite get past jupiter too much other than crashing into and flybys but more plays i might get the hang of it!
Oct 19 20:08:30 1h 01m Old Printer Extraction ♥ 2 I love the simplicity and different routes and strategies I can try. So far I can only steal 2 documents before i get caught, but i have only so much paths from the printer, and can only carry one paper? I thought maybe from your cubicle you could buy "upgrades" like a folder that holds 5 papers or something?
Oct 19 21:01:40 53m 10s Talus ♥ 0 all im getting is character idling on the left side of the screen right now
Oct 19 21:07:42 6m 02s Stardate 1999 ♥ 1 I LOVE the clean ui and crisp feedback. there's definitely a lot of promise for replayability. Do you think you'll be adding to this more and updating it?
Oct 19 21:46:13 38m 31s Evil East Conquest ♥ 2 I love this style and look! The sounds are also really cool, feedback is great for that. I keep spending too much on army and no machines lol. thoug how do i get that one resource the houses hold after i destroy them?
Oct 19 22:15:58 29m 45s Purple submarine ♥ 0 I really enjoy simple 2d submarine games like these! Still figuring out what I need to do , but so far It's interesting. You found the fun and thats the most important part.
Oct 19 22:37:43 21m 45s DAISY ♥ 1 Interesting concept, but I struggled with the controls and figuring out what to do exactly in the beginning. Nice graphics and sound too! You've got potential!
Oct 19 22:44:54 7m 11s IAR Archives ♥ 1 great work, the sound/music really fit the overall mood. I liked how I accidentally clicked fix twice and corrupted the data. gives a very anomalous SCP style feel but in a different game mode.
Oct 19 22:50:41 5m 47s Plane Trip ♥ 0 Controls are great! UI etc felt responsive. It was a challenge getting past the flak cannons. Shooting down other planes was fun, overall a pretty nice unique game of flying.
Oct 19 22:54:49 4m 08s Balkan Hunter 2002 ♥ 0 my favorite levels were the LSD and last stand, though I think if ound a bug on last stand where the wolf ran from the side edge on the right and shooting it didn't work
Oct 19 22:56:43 1m 54s PAST SHOULD NOT EXIST ♥ 1 I like the graphics, the atmosphere has that old horror feel
Oct 19 23:02:15 5m 32s Don't pick up the phone ♥ 2 I definitely feel the tension. Though somewhat heavy on the dialogue I answered the phone, going to try making a joke and hanging up next try.
Oct 19 23:04:52 2m 37s Machinerra ♥ 2 I like how it looks kinda feels like an old school version of ace combat, but I wasn't able to climb or turn.
Oct 19 23:09:06 4m 14s DEAD PIXELS - THE LAST SIGNAL ♥ 1 UI looks nice, the movement and jumping felt smooth, almost creamy like those types of keyboards if that makes sense lol. The music was pretty chill. FIrst play through I fell down the first hole about 5 times then i figured out the channell shifting , the 3rd level thank you for adding a checkpoint to respawn at lol.
Oct 20 00:02:34 53m 28s Lensmaker ♥ 1 This is excellent! I really liked getting better telescopes and having to adjust the focus! It's a very unique take on a concept we all use and don't realize. A great way to gamify something!
Oct 20 00:12:00 9m 26s Blackwater ♥ 4 Always love a good nautical game! are exported diagnostics of any use to you? I beat the 5 of 5 waves, it was fun dodging canons, mines and the last ship was hardcore
Oct 20 00:31:41 19m 41s The Machine ♥ 3 Immediate thought: THe 2d + 3d perspective blended together was very cool. A really interesting and useful application for this theme.
Oct 20 00:45:45 14m 04s Some Assembly Required ♥ 1 first thing thank you for being assembly as in assembling things and not assembly 64 haha, also thank you for having difficulty and skip tutorial option that is peak development IMHO. Really shows a good attitude for the players much appreciated. playing through i kinda thin k i still did a tutorial? though it was fine because it was by doing actions. Overall good creative way to have 3 different attacks and i like how the first photo attack somewhat does damage to all, but each enemy time has their unique damage. i did encounter some glitching screen stuttering, and just things not exactly working during the repair press e phase the arrows and boxes i had to trace disappeared a couple times but eventually i got it to work.
Oct 20 00:50:17 4m 32s Subvivor ♥ 3 I ran out of oxygen a lot at the second stage. but tutorial and first stage I did alright!
Oct 20 01:18:46 28m 29s Star Corp ♥ 2 Q O 0 were kinda hard to tell apart. 6 G, 8 B only a little. u and V, sometimes 2 and Z Once I saw what both looked like i figured it. could work on maybe faster pacing time between letter popups felt kinda slow, also the bottom left is cut off somewhat. took me 62 stars to realize i could click on the floating window too. Great game. Graphics, theme, mood all of it is awesome, I'm having fun with it. It's definitely addicting. reminds me of Severance that tv show !
Oct 20 04:36:26 3h 17m Who is Nana? ♥ 2 The theme and art look interesting, but I was unable to do much but choose my language but EN does not appear to work. Something with the display maybe? Once I got the game loaded it's very beautiful, I like the glow of the lighting and all the neat interactable features like the computer.
Oct 20 04:52:14 15m 48s Mr. Havoc in The Web ♥ 2 Made it to the end! I loved the surprises at the end! Also wondering if there are a couple easter eggs will have to try again later. I would absolutely pay money for a more fleshed out game like this! I hope more gets worked on soon! I loved the art style of the ascii platformer levels the best. ( if you get stuck jump off the side of the vert walls)
Oct 20 04:59:13 6m 59s MemoryManager98.exe ♥ 1 This was way cool bookmarked to play more later! I need to stop and read the rules more, I was able to get as far as fixing the disc, doing the archive and the word doc. Really cool stuff! Music was nice too.
Oct 20 05:08:50 9m 37s Claude castle ♥ 2 Well I think it's great you are open and honest, which I've been sus about some other entries. I personally find obvious AI art kinda jaring and overused in some contexts. But you've shown exactly what you did you really did a great job at "Showing your work". I read somewhere that someone on steam put AI on every image and was very upfront and has lot of sales ? I cant find that discussion on r/ gamedev anymore. I appreciate you showcasing how and what you used things for. There is clearly a difference in your use than someone just typing prompts into a browser and brute forcing it all. You clearly have a concept of design, programming fundamentals which is more than what can be said about many AI evangelists. I'm still on the fence, ultimately I don't like the Use of AI art 1. Many models have been trained on other artists art, which in essence I think is an IP infringement potentially. 2. I just find most AI art very jarring and uncanny, there's something about the texture, color palletes, lighting, form, and other art aspects that just give me this feeling of malaise when I see the pictures. I only really felt that odd feeling onthe castle art. Everything else honestly looks basic enough any one could model in unreal engine modeling or blender in a few minutes so for basic simple shapes, prototyping, I think you demonstrated a great use. I would meet you halfway on the idea of using art as a way to communicate and talk to artists on something I'd want and then pay the artist to make the actual artwork desired. There's people that can solve algebra because they have a calculator, then there's people that can do really cool things with algebra because they understand it AND have a calculator. Ultimately I think AI in the moral artists rights sense will be figured out soon. Though I also think eventually the technology will improve and not consume so many resources. I find there to be an interesting potential for good things, but also many bad use cases abundant.
Oct 20 05:25:29 16m 39s Corner the Market ♥ 4 This is righteous another one im bookmarking to play in my downtime again later! Want for velocity should definitely go in the middle TVs. THe music is such a vibe omg. THe feelings, that liminal nostalgia, that feeling of walking in a quiet city in the rain on a november evening. It's all there. So smooth. BBI 18,144 on this session.
Oct 20 19:53:47 14h 28m Diamant de Lune ♥ 1 Reminds me of an old game I played back in the late 90s on a mac. I cant remember it but there's a lot of fun ways to play and replay this game. I think it might do well on steam! Bookmarking this to play more again later! I also liked the sound/ambiance.
Oct 20 20:00:22 6m 35s VirusBusters ♥ 0 Really well polished, crisp graphics, nice feel. I like top down games where I just move around and shoot stuff like this. Well done! First play through I made it all the way through all 4 and back to llevel 1!
Oct 20 20:03:58 3m 36s 2-Bit Bomb ♥ 0 reminds me of life genesis + space invaders!
Oct 20 20:08:11 4m 13s Old farm old times ♥ 1 I liked the ease of play, the only pain point was how much time I had to grow cabbage and sell it, before it asked for onions. but lots of ways to pla y it, good replayability, im gonna try different ways later to see how well i do next time!
Oct 20 20:17:17 9m 06s BOGEY OR BANDIT ♥ 1 pretty good theme, I've always liked these old style military war sim games, ive wanted to make an arma reforger mod mini game similar to this but with player radio transmissions and helicopters nearby. I feel like I don't quite get enough time during the first few waves. but the figuring out which radar blips to prioritize is interesting.
Oct 20 21:40:28 1h 23m The Weaver ♥ 1 I like the color scheme and the clean feel of the graphics. The task at hand was kinda hard to wrap my head around but eventually I was able to figure out how to get the first white pattern. I could see this being a very successful cozy game!
Oct 20 22:16:50 36m 22s Psychoscope ♥ 1 I can appreciate the simplicity and scope it's awesome. Do you have plans to further develop this?
Oct 20 22:20:38 3m 48s I am Computer ♥ 1 it definitley helps to in stall the things lol tried my first run but couldn't figure out what i was doing second time around it made more sense. great concept and fun originality.
Oct 21 03:19:28 4h 58m PIP's Escape ♥ 3 This was really really cool. I liked the shifting of game modes from walking through the circuit boards, the first quest line and defeating the wizard took a few tries !> (get the 4 hearts from the bushes cave in that town ;) ) Then figuring out what to do about the seagulls was a little counter intuitive on the next quest line. The main pain point I had was the sword control something like E key or click would have been much easier. Ergonomically using shift a lot to swing a sword felt odd. I also forgot K was an option to be fair. This was seriously a gem though. Impressive work! I really liked the font/lighting and everything on the gamebrick. As well as that filter for the TV effect.
Oct 22 04:25:16 25h 05m Project Hail Meowy ♥ 0 Nice artwork but the best part is the feeling of Starfox + Punchcards. This is very original, great concept. It was harder than it looked, but after getting better upgrades it really has such interesting gameplay. I think it would be fun if further down there were more steps in the punch card added. Unless I didn't get to that yet I'm still trying it out 😸 phm.png
Oct 22 04:30:11 4m 55s Ritual Journal ♥ 0 This was fun, the pencil art was a vibe and I kept on chopping wood instead of getting water. I died a lot.
Oct 22 22:00:38 17h 30m Professeur Renard et le village oublié ♥ 0 The art and imagery is absolutely beautiful! I seek out these kinds of games in the game jams. Great work!
Oct 23 15:25:59 17h 25m Project Armakeddon ♥ 2 interesting!
Oct 26 11:52:23 68h 26m The Margin Game ♥ 1 this is peak for the theme! I like that I can do this anywhere.
Oct 27 05:41:08 17h 48m Ghost in the Egg ♥ 3 This is impressive for Ludum Dare! Camera, Controls, Character on point. You found the fun right away. The music was absolute feels. It really had that vibe of 2005 watching anime and playing games on my computer after school. I feel like so many people miss out on this experience. Especially the msn messenger parody. This would also make a fun desktop overlay or something. Great work in all of this seriously! I liked the ending too!
Oct 27 06:57:01 1h 15m The Courier ♥ 1 Controls simple and intuitive, goals easy to follow and understand. Best I can do is 2 discs lol. Good music too. I liked the zooming in leaving the vehicle and zooming out when driving. I had 2 shields but I don't know if it always worked? I still lost health with 2 shields. Might have been just me tho.
Oct 27 07:03:16 6m 15s Zwaard Smid ♥ 1 A really interesting set of smithing mechanics, it was a little counter intuitive at first and could probably use some more feedback onthe 1-3 stuff UI maybe. It took some back and forth reading the instructions and playing to figure it out, but ultimately this is really fun kinda reminds me of the smithing system in Vintage Story to an extent, it was a challenge getting the order right and not to let it cool too fast.
Oct 27 07:10:44 7m 28s Operation MISSILES! ♥ 1 Easy mode was a little hard , but after a while I began to understand it, though it wasn't exactly clear if i had to enter the code twice?
Oct 27 07:14:37 3m 53s Nightcall ♥ 2 nicely intuitive, a great pacing of progressive challenge. sound, audio, and graphics had a nice cozy feel.
Oct 27 07:21:26 6m 49s Proper Cannoning ♥ 1 satisfying gameplay, I liked the moving enemies and the birds both! it was fun trying to get the right angle and power to destroy them both. I found a good strategy and making a big hole in the middle for the ground enemy to fall in!
Oct 27 08:05:37 44m 11s When the Skies Were Young ♥ 1 I was able to make a few trips to dusktown but need more better planning to get to underhill! really solid game it's a lot of fun just buying supplies and selling them at other airfields. It's nice to get altitude and able to read my papers while flying, relying on terrain association and dead reckoning navigation skills! We get spoiled in flight sims with gps, markers, hud etc, this really brings it back to how it was in the old days!
