Apr 21 22:58:48 Almost Empty ♥ 4 Cool project! i like the graphics a lot but the audio is peak! the radio transmissions in space sound incredibly good and really add to the athmosphere.
Apr 22 20:28:50 21h 30m Signal Saboteur ♥ 2 Awesome little game! Loved the art style and the switching gameplay was a cool twist.
Apr 23 02:30:37 6h 01m Signal ♥ 1 Really cool game, congrats on finishing it! I think it would be great if you made the shadows slightly brighter, so you can still make out rough shapes in the dark instead of it being completely black. But aside from that, the atmosphere is excellent.
Apr 23 15:19:29 12h 48m Reclamation ♥ 1 Cool and quite original concept. A short intro or clearer guidance would make it easier to get into for me. Still, theres definitely something interesting here. I had a good time with it!
Apr 23 15:31:16 11m 47s Pheromone ♥ 2 I really love your project. It’s easy to get into, the difficulty ramps up nicely, and the execution is great. Definitely keep working on this!
Apr 23 23:38:33 8h 07m Ignorance is profitable ♥ 1 Really cool idea and great controls, it feels very smooth to play. For my taste, the progression moves a bit too quickly. I think it would be even more engaging if upgrades required catching signals for a bit longer, so you can sink more into the loop. But overall, I really enjoyed it!
Apr 25 11:10:52 35h 32m Steampunk Ship ♥ 2 Nice game! It looks like a lot of work went into it. Congratulations on finishing it!
Apr 25 11:22:46 11m 54s Seeking The Signal ♥ 0 Great game. The atmosphere and music choices are fantastic! I would suggest making the selection beep a bit more subtle and quieter, as it can pull you out of the immersion a little. Also, this was probably just a time constraint, but instead of the sphere, a more subtle highlight for interactive objects could work really well. Overall, though, awesome game. The camera movement toward the church at the end, combined with the sound, felt really cinematic.
Apr 25 11:44:44 21m 58s Last Brain Cell ♥ 1 Haha, great game! It’s a bit confusing at first, but once you play for a bit, you get the hang of the controls. The theme and humor are awesome! I sometimes ran into an issue where I would immediately collect something again right after dropping it, which made it hard to deliver the thoughts properly. Also, some subtle background music with increasing tension could work really well. Congrats on putting this together so well!
Apr 25 12:13:31 28m 47s Last Transmission ♥ 2 The game creates a really awesome atmosphere. I love retro-style games like this! I also found the game loop really interesting. I played the fixed version right away, and it worked great overall, except for one small issue. Sometimes it would freeze when pressing the decrypt button, and I had to open the Task Manager to get it working again. As for gameplay feedback, I think it could be nice if you could take notes on the rules board or on a notepad, for example, to keep track of the current number or make little tally marks for matches. But maybe thats also part of the challenge, not having too many tools, could be worth testing. I really enjoyed it though and will give it a high rating. The theme is implemented really well!
Apr 25 13:25:11 1h 11m Signal&Conquer ♥ 1 Really great game idea. I would love to see this developed further, theres definitely potential for some interesting tactical levels. I think giving the obstacles collision could add a lot, since it would force players to position their squads more strategically so they can provide supporting fire. Neues Projekt.png I had a lot of fun playing it!
Apr 25 16:06:28 2h 41m Pickup_Simulator ♥ 1 Great game! Trying out all the dance moves is really fun. This has a lot of potential if you keep working on it! PS: I managed to pick up 10 girls in one run… almost like real life 🥲
Apr 25 16:45:20 38m 52s Beep & Dig ♥ 1 The game was really great! After playing for a while, you really start to get into the gameplay loop. I think it would be even better if you added a few layers to the sound, so you can tell when you are getting closer and narrow things down more easily. Also, highlighting objects when you can pick them up would be great for player feedback. But I had a lot of fun! I think I need to buy a metal detector now and head out to the fields 😄
Apr 25 17:26:20 41m 00s Last One Alive Leave The Light On ♥ 1 Very interesting concept! I really like the art style and the sound. One thing that could be cool: letting the player tune the radio with the mouse wheel, like searching for the right frequency on a real radio. That idea just came to me while playing. Congrats on the great project!
Apr 25 18:12:21 46m 01s hostile cosmos ♥ 1 Really great idea! I could also see this working really well in a submarine setting. The interface is well done, it really feels like you are controlling a ship. I dont have much feedback, since everything works surprisingly well for how complex it seems. The only moment of confusion I had was in the main menu, where I initially thought “Start” and “Mission” were two separate buttons XD Great job on the project!
Apr 25 18:27:03 14m 42s Nowhere Station ♥ 0 Its not the type of game I usually play, but it’s really well done! The atmosphere and visuals, along with the well chosen color palette, are really impressive.
Apr 25 18:40:10 13m 07s Shelter ♥ 1 It took me a little while to figure out what I was supposed to do, and I am not sure if the camera look was intended that way or if it wasnt working properly for me. But the atmosphere is really great. The idea that the office chair spins when you stand up is awesome, I love that detail!
Apr 25 19:36:38 56m 28s Send the Signal ♥ 0 Really great game! I had a lot of fun during the playthrough. The upgrades are very motivating and make you want to keep playing. Most of my feedback is just suggestions for things I would have liked to try out. - The controls felt a bit unusual at first. I expected W to always move the spaceship forward and A/D to rotate, but I got used to it quickly. Still, it might be worth testing with playtesters. - I would probably make the purple crystals only always spawn at the last asteroid of a level, so you are encouraged to progress through upgrades to complete it. - At the screen edges, its a bit unclear where the level ends because the borders are the same black as the background. Slightly differentiating the color would help make the loop boundary more readable. But overall this is all high-level feedback. I think you have made a really great game!
Apr 26 00:40:45 5h 04m Switchboard Sprite ♥ 1 Really creative and fitting take on the theme! With more time, you could turn this into something even bigger with lots of funny ideas, like humorous dialogues between mythical creatures. In addition to the bug mentioned above, I also ran into an issue where a receiving call was overwritten by a new call in the same slot. But overall, for the polished experience and the great idea, I am happy to give you a good rating. I had fun playing it!
Apr 26 01:06:24 25m 39s Below the Light ♥ 5 Wow, this is not the kind of scope you would expect for a game jam, really impressive! The atmosphere is fantastic, especially thanks to the pixel art and sound design. The game is quite challenging. I had to check the solution a couple of times. But to be fair, its late and I am probably not at my sharpest 😄 It strongly reminded me of the mood of "The Last Door" games. Congratulations on this great project!
Apr 26 01:13:15 6m 51s Signal Cipher ♥ 1 Very cool project! The style looks well polished and appealing. The sound design also draws you in right away. Providing note sheets is a really great idea. I would love to see that more often in puzzle games!
Apr 26 01:22:40 9m 25s NAOS 750 AM ♥ 1 Really great idea that creates an amazing atmosphere. I am also from a rural area, and driving home in the evening really does look exactly like this. I also found it very realistic how the game shows how hard it is to stay on track when you focus on something else, like the radio or something off the road. I would love to see you continue working on this and add voice acting for the radio hosts, that would create an incredible atmosphere! Congratulations on this great project!
Apr 26 14:36:44 13h 14m CawCaw ♥ 1 I can totally see myself playing this while out for a walk. Really great use of the theme!
Apr 27 12:07:01 21h 30m Kiipu ♥ 1 Great game! The difficulty progression is really well done. I found the key layout a bit unusual at first, since I was expecting WASD controls, but it works. I really like the background, it almost looks like a painting. Good project!
Apr 27 12:19:19 12m 18s Video Signal Lost ♥ 1 A really interesting concept and a very good use of the theme. I was a bit confused at the beginning because it wasnt immediately clear whether the game was realtime or turnbased, so I died quite a few times because of that. I would also love to see WASD controls as an option, since that feels more intuitive nowadays. But overall, a really good project, visually as well!
Apr 27 13:24:40 1h 05m Dust Transmission ♥ 1 Good driving physics, the vehicle really feels like it has weight to it. I would also love to be able to move the camera freely a bit more, just to admire the vehicle itself. I ran into an issue a few times on the way to the first beacon where the screen suddenly turned completely black, and only the UI remained visible, like the speed display. Still, its a good concept and a nice interpretation of the theme!
Apr 27 14:10:14 45m 34s Red Light Synthlight ♥ 1 Great game! A really good execution of the concept. The controls feel good, and the gameplay loop is fun. I immediately felt that a shorter red/green interval could work really well, or even making it slightly random so the player has to stay alert at all times. Its also great to hear that you want to keep working on it after the rating phase. I think it has a lot of potential if you continue expanding it.
Apr 27 14:24:37 14m 23s Pharos ♥ 2 Great entry! This is probably the most polished project I have played in this round so far. The art style and sound design are both at a really high level. The gameplay loop feels relaxing and stressful at the same time, which comes across as very well balanced. I could also see this working really well on mobile devices if you decide to keep developing it!
Apr 27 14:49:55 25m 18s Good Boy ♥ 1 Really great interpretation of the theme! The gameplay works well, and its honestly amazing that you made all of this from scratch, highest respect! One thing you could try adding would be a high score for level times, which would greatly increase replay value. A sprint mode could also be fun, where repeating the same whistle command a second time makes the character move faster, allowing experienced players to go for speedruns. But overall, a truly fantastic game!
Apr 27 16:19:19 1h 29m Solar Signals ♥ 1 Nice game. It would probably work really well on a phone or iPad. As mentioned above, tooltips would definitely help players get oriented a bit faster at the beginning, but I had fun with it.
Apr 27 16:35:11 15m 52s Warden of the Depths ♥ 1 Really polished platformer. The movement feels great, the combat system is satisfying, and the sound effects are very well chosen. I will still try to give some feedback in case it helps: I noticed that during wall jumps, if you reach the exact corner of a ledge, it can feel a bit glitchy, probably because the character is rapidly switching between two states there. One small thing I would also prefer is being able to run fully off-screen before the next level loads. Right now it feels a bit like you’re hitting a level boundary while the screen fades and loads. But thats criticism on a high level. I had a lot of fun with it!
Apr 27 18:46:56 2h 11m Shadow of The Deep: Wild Hunt ♥ 0 You built a really great atmosphere here with the visuals and the underwater sound design. I know time was limited, but it would have been amazing if the whole UI had also used a darker metallic texture, so everything matched that same oppressive mood. I had a lot of fun with it, a very promising project!
Apr 27 19:14:18 27m 22s OUT THERE ♥ 1 Wow, this is an incredibly well made project! The interface art style really pulls you into the world. I was genuinely impressed during the first trip to Andromeda by the cool “lightspeed” effect and the way the UI colors changed to match the system. Please keep working on this! P.S. Just as feedback: for me, it unfortunately didnt open in the web player on Chrome after the loading bar had fully finished.
Apr 27 21:32:41 2h 18m Captain Distress ♥ 1 Really cool game! Nice art style and relaxing soundtrack. Just saw it another guy playing yet, but i will give it a try at home.
Apr 27 21:44:29 11m 48s Officially Dead ♥ 1 Super funny game! It’s a lot of fun smashing office furniture into huge hordes, honestly exactly the kind of thing I’d sometimes like to do in the office too 😅 You could try adding a bit more lighting to the scene. Right now, despite the 3D graphics, everything feels a little flat because it looks unlit. A few well placed lights could really boost the atmosphere.
Apr 27 22:18:09 33m 40s RobotsXRescue ♥ 3 Really awesome pixel art style! Your whole game looks like an incredible amount of work for such a short amount of time. And on top of that, everything feels extremely polished. Seriously impressive. Congratulations to you!
Apr 27 22:29:13 11m 04s Extremely Loud Frog Toy ♥ 0 Shut up and take my money! 🤯🐸
Apr 27 22:51:31 22m 18s Short-Range Robot ♥ 0 Really creative idea how you mixed the bullet hell shooter with the theme! For feedback: the controller drone often gets stuck in a corner, or stays there for a long time without moving out again. And sometimes it looks like you can hit yourself. It doesnt deal damage, but it still causes the laser to disappear instantly. Despite that, its still a very well executed project!
Apr 28 01:34:10 2h 42m Listen to the Sky ♥ 0 Very relaxing game, you can really be proud of it! The soundtrack is a great choice, and the controls feel genuinely fun. I ended up playing it all the way through right away and had a great time with it. Thank you!
Apr 28 13:14:21 11h 40m Signals and Points ♥ 1 Great game and take on the theme! The screenshot was really helpful to show exactly how the building mechanic works. I think theres a lot more potential in this idea. If I were you, I would definitely consider developing it further. Very well done!
Apr 28 13:55:37 41m 16s Captured Tides ♥ 2 Very cool and relaxing game! Great use of the theme. I really like the art style, especially the sky. A bit more visual feedback would definitely help so the player knows when they can use the ladder and similar interactions. But I really like the game loop overall. The boat reminded me of Jaws 😄 I hope you continue working on this project after the jam!
Apr 28 16:24:09 2h 28m Radio Tower ♥ 1 Really great use of the theme, I had a lot of fun with it! I also think you balanced it very well. At first I thought, okay, this feels a bit easy, but if you are not careful, things can quickly become properly hectic and stressful. Congratulations on this successful project!
Apr 28 16:45:06 20m 57s Mayday - Keep the signal alive ♥ 1 Great idea to connect the theme through a sequence of minigames. I love the art style, pixel art always works for me haha. Some of the minigames are really tough though. I was stuck on the broken radio for ages. But overall, its a very successful project and I had fun with it!
Apr 28 19:05:17 2h 20m Signal Garden ♥ 1 I dont know what they were feeding you back then, but its a shame I didnt get the same thing. You are a gifted game developer with a natural eye for aesthetics and game feel. While playing, I immediately thought that you must have also made Metal Undergrowth before I even checked. I discovered that one during the last game jam and was completely blown away by it too! And this one is every bit as good as that one, congratulations on another fantastic project!
Apr 28 19:15:02 9m 45s Yellow Submarine ♥ 1 Nice game and a good use of the theme. Its very calming with the underwater sound, and the signal effect actually becomes really important in the spike caves!
Apr 28 20:36:41 1h 21m Traincidents ♥ 1 You guys have my greatest respect. Being able to build humor this good into a game is an art form. The voice recordings are pure gold! P.S. During my playthrough, no influencer was harmed...
Apr 28 21:41:36 1h 04m Gasp Away! ♥ 1 Very cool interpretation of the theme! It took me a moment to fully understand it, but once it clicked, I was all in. By the end I was so focused that I was just as out of breath as our dude on the beach. I had fun with it. To stay in "Cast Away" jargon, I say T.Hanks for this submission ;)
Apr 29 02:54:34 5h 12m Void Signal ♥ 1 Really cool interpretation of the theme and extremely interesting visuals. The heart minigame is also a genuinely great idea. Overall, the game creates a very strange and unsettling atmosphere, but in a good way. I really had fun with it!
Apr 29 09:53:35 6h 59m oops, wrong alien ♥ 3 Really great interpretation of the theme! I really liked the different aliens. fantastic designs. The music is incredible and adds so much to the atmosphere in a very positive way. I hope you keep working on this game, because I think theres a big audience that would love this kind of experience!
Apr 29 18:48:35 8h 55m Space Supremacy ♥ 1 Great project! I am also a big fan of pixel art and retro games, so I had a good time with it. As feedback: you could consider showing the shot as an actual projectile that travels through the air. That would make it clearer how and when the player deals or receives damage. The jumping also feels a bit strange at times. When I jump from a standstill or while just starting to accelerate, I still have air control, but when I jump at full speed, I suddenly have none. I would suggest giving the player some control there as well, so they can still make small corrections mid-air. Other than that, a lovely little story and a great submission!
Apr 29 22:05:33 3h 16m SILENTIUM ♥ 4 Very impressive project! The gameplay is genuinely fun and works really well. The driving physics feel solid, and its crazy how much content you managed to fit into the project. The level is absolutely huge for a single weekend! I also loved the little details, the glass shader in the gas stations and the easter egg pictures haha. Some suggestions for improvement: I think making fuel a bit more limited could make it even more interesting. During my whole playthrough, I never really had a problem with it. For example, it could be cool if right at the start you didnt have enough fuel to reach the first gas station, so you need to use the canister to fetch some. Or maybe there could simply be less fuel available overall, making it more important to search cars for leftover gas. The “Hold LMB” interaction also felt a little too long in some places, or sometimes unnecessary. Maybe a shorter hold duration or even a different key for actions in general could work better. But thats just my personal impression. The project is really top-tier! I had a lot of fun with it!
Apr 30 12:12:09 14h 06m GraveBell ♥ 2 Wow, incredibly cool pixel art style, the whole game looks absolutely fantastic! It also feels really well balanced, and the upgrades are implemented very nicely. Congratulations to this successful project!
Apr 30 14:19:46 2h 07m Signal Epsilon ♥ 1 Great submission. I really like the atmosphere and the soundtrack. Even the longer walking sections didnt bother me, although you could maybe try increasing the walk speed a little. The mouse cursor issue has already been mentioned, but that would have been my biggest feedback point as well. Cursor.lockState = CursorLockMode.Locked; would be a great addition so the cursor doesnt distract from the game and the player can look around freely in the web build. But I genuinely had fun with it and I managed to rescue the crew member :)
Apr 30 20:29:39 6h 09m MIXLAKE ♥ 3 Wow, this game is really polished. The graphics and sound are top-notch. I love your color palette, and even your itch.io page is beautifully designed! Could you maybe tell me which font you used on your itch page? I really like the whole presentation!
Apr 30 21:48:26 1h 18m Moumtain Pipin ♥ 1 Really cool platformer. Im not sure the theme is fully reflected, but the gameplay is still a lot of fun. Good thing the bro is with you most of the time, otherwise I would be scared with that limited visibility XD
Apr 30 22:06:07 17m 41s No Signal West ♥ 1 Really well made zombie shooter! The way you integrated finding the signal is also very creative. The overall package of gameplay, sound, and the great visuals is genuinely impressive. You can be proud of this one!
May 1 00:02:42 1h 56m DAISY ♥ 1 Good use of the theme! I had fun with it.
May 2 23:38:04 47h 35m The Last Beacon ♥ 1 What a simple idea that was turned into a brilliant game, really cool! I genuinely had a lot of fun with it. Echoes... at last....
May 2 23:55:21 17m 17s RoboNET ♥ 0 Great integration of the theme into a solid game. The first frame of the death animation is amazing haha.
May 4 13:01:51 37h 06m Wave Matcher ♥ 2 Great game idea, and it fits the theme well! As feedback: I would have liked to be able to use WASD for movement, as it feels more modern, especially since the mouse could handle looking around. Switching over to the arrow keys felt a bit awkward. Also, it was sometimes quite hard to hit the exact spot where the wave gets accepted. A bit more leniency there might make the gameplay feel more satisfying. Other than that, its a really great project for such a short time. I am always impressed by what can be created using just primitives!
May 5 13:18:09 24h 16m Split Signal ♥ 0 Cool take on the theme! Thats the first genuinely justified epilepsy warning I have seen in a game XD
May 7 09:54:15 44h 36m LEFT ON RED ♥ 1 A really great idea and an excellent use of the theme. I love the 3D model of the boy, it fits the setting perfectly. I hope you keep working on the game after the jam, because with some more polish this could easily become a fantastic full game!
May 8 19:16:20 33h 22m Final Caw ♥ 0 Nice atmosphere, models, and soundtrack!
May 8 19:30:57 14m 37s Call of the Signal ♥ 1 Great game. The foggy, snowy atmosphere was captured really well!
May 8 19:46:27 15m 30s INTERSIGNAL ♥ 2 It also took me a while to understand what the goal was, but its a really good idea. Respect for the amount of content you managed to create in such a short time. The user interface has a very cool style!
May 8 20:06:49 20m 22s Rat Signal ♥ 1 I saw this several times during the rating period, but only just got around to playing it now. Really a great idea and an excellent use of the theme! I love the visuals and the atmosphere inside the control room.
May 8 20:15:37 8m 48s Baywatcher ♥ 2 Really great idea and an excellent use of the theme. Things get stressful very quickly, but in a fun and positive way! The only criticism I have is that some situations can feel a little unfair at times. Congratulations on this awesome game!
May 8 23:31:39 3h 16m Light Signal ♥ 2 Nice work, looks really good!
May 9 00:47:29 1h 15m Almost the Same ♥ 2 Incredibly cool art style!
May 9 09:57:50 9h 10m Speed Signal ♥ 1 Awesome submission! The pixel art is incredible and the level design is genuinely excellent. You can immediately tell how much work and attention to detail went into it!
