| Oct 7 17:17:04 | Whisker Warrior | ♥ 3 | Never seen a slug this fast! It's great fun! I like the combat system and the animations. | |
| Oct 7 17:32:00 | 14m 56s | Daredevil Ant | ♥ 0 | Music, SFX and graphics tie well into each other. It may just be me, but the ant feels a bit sluggish. I think the ant would also greatly benefit from a cute walking animation. |
| Oct 7 20:34:31 | 3h 02m | Shnorps: Invasion of Blorps | ♥ 1 | Yes, web version seems to have been scaled wrongly. Otherwise I think the towers feel not very impactful. Many of the upgrades give multipliers. I'm not sure if the thumbnails are misleading but are there actually tower segments which lower the damage of my towers? |
| Oct 8 15:48:00 | 19h 13m | Ducks on the Road | ♥ 1 | I genuinely laughed whenever a duckling died in the most horrible way, since I ignored possible issues. I'm not a monster though. I still felt bad for them. |
| Oct 8 16:11:07 | 23m 07s | Gravity Well | ♥ 0 | Feels like a very interesting idle game. Though I also managed to break the framerate by spamming certain options. Still great fun! |
| Oct 8 16:16:20 | 5m 13s | Shikigami | ♥ 1 | The animations of the creatures look really well! However it took me a good while to figure out what I'm supposed to do and how it works. |
| Oct 9 16:21:02 | 24h 04m | Crittey (VR Only) | ♥ 1 | It looks amazing! Though unfortunately, when I'm trying to launch it, it launches as desktop app and not within SteamVR. I'd welcome some advice, so I can try it. |
| Oct 10 10:48:03 | 18h 27m | RestaurANT | ♥ 1 | Took me a while to understand to pick up food by touching it and then carry it on your back. Perhaps carrying it with the mandibles is something that works well, too? Also, I'm not sure if it's yet possible to get past Day 2. Guests are coming in faster than I can serve them. Aside from that, great performance for your first game! Keep it up, keep learning and improving. All of us do so here. By the way, I adore the title of the game. |
| Oct 10 15:09:49 | 4h 21m | Save Nebuville | ♥ 3 | This one was simple and fun. It made me feel a little bit nostalgic to the old flash game days, even though I can't recall any game similar to this one. I like how the pitch of the SFX rise with the fire rate. |
| Oct 10 15:20:35 | 10m 46s | Flea Patrol | ♥ 1 | That one was fun. Especially since you could technically let the fleas fly to get past some obstacles easily. Lovely art style! But the music loop felt a little bit short, considering the length of this game. |
| Oct 10 15:37:40 | 17m 05s | Fifty Six LilyPads | ♥ 1 | Interesting mechanics that force you to put some thought into every move. I can perfectly see myself playing this game with a friend on a regular basis, trying to outsmart each other. |
| Oct 10 15:45:35 | 7m 55s | B&B: Bugs 'n' Breakfast | ♥ 2 | Stomping bugs is fun. All the little indicators and icons really help what's going on. However I didn't understand how many bugs actually do upset an inspector. I kept panicking when a bug spawned right inside the next destination of the inspector with no chance of me stomping them beforehand. |
| Oct 10 17:17:03 | 1h 31m | Duke Flywalker's Crap-tastic Adventure | ♥ 2 | This game is crap! 5/5 Stars, no drama. |
| Oct 10 18:19:46 | 1h 02m | The Mims | ♥ 2 | This one is super cute. However, as other mentioned before, it triggers my OCD by not being able to rearrange my Mims. Once you do a mistake you can not correct yourself. Also it would be nice to have an option to discard Mims from your hand to make room for better options. |
| Oct 10 18:43:23 | 23m 37s | Pawned Potential | ♥ 3 | Very fun take with the money, almost feels like a statement. Also I couldn't stop chuckling at the tunes the birds sung. |
| Oct 10 18:49:21 | 5m 58s | Rat Game | ♥ 2 | This art style is the essence of jams! Fun and unexpected level design. However it could be improved if the rat wouldn't stick to walls when jumping against them. |
| Oct 10 20:00:08 | 1h 10m | Age of Tiny Creatures (AOTC) | ♥ 1 | Reminds me of the good old age of war flash game series. |
| Oct 10 20:41:12 | 41m 04s | Araneae | ♥ 2 | Mysterious and makes me want to explore it more. Sometimes it's confusing to figure out which way to go, but the right camera movement and level design easily breaks the scope of this jam. |
| Oct 10 20:47:23 | 6m 11s | Fiery Sunset | ♥ 2 | I believe that's what all Mexicans have to go through to reach adolescence. |
| Oct 10 20:55:22 | 7m 59s | Bug-Bash Buggy | ♥ 1 | Such a fun concept and game! Even though the first few levels are pretty easy, because all the bugs also get squashed by a standing car. |
| Oct 10 21:48:18 | 52m 56s | Ant save the Queen | ♥ 1 | It's a nice concept and genre mashup of tower defense and exploration. But as others mentioned before it yet poses little challenge. Finding the larva only takes time and patience. |
| Oct 10 21:50:38 | 2m 20s | The Fish that Figured it Out | ♥ 1 | I have the feeling this game was sped up during testing for development ;). No offense, but it feels like one of those idle games you play at the side which take forever to complete. Yet I love the graphics and animations. Super cute, chill and fun to watch fish work. |
| Oct 11 10:36:25 | 12h 45m | Inside Creatures Out: What is your gaming MBTI? | ♥ 1 | I love the concept of mixing an interactive game with personality tests. I'm also positively surprised that my actual MBTI (INTP) differs from my results of your game. I suppose player type and personality don't always align with each other. image_2024-10-11_123440191.png |
| Oct 11 17:02:54 | 6h 26m | Gettin' Squirrely! | ♥ 1 | Jumping and climbing looks fun! But I keep clipping through stuff and the jumpy camera movement makes it hard to control where you want to go. |
| Oct 11 17:13:47 | 10m 53s | Spermies: The Tiniest of Creatures | ♥ 2 | I've never played an auto-racer before. Chill concept. I enjoyed this entry, even though the audio crashed halfway through for me on opera. |
| Oct 11 18:34:02 | 1h 20m | RBS | ♥ 3 | I see, it's possible to get infinite score for not stomping :^) For just 5 hours this is a good result! |
| Oct 11 18:42:26 | 8m 24s | Look | ♥ 1 | Woah, complicated game! Very easy to lose a few screens, but very interesting concept. Music is relaxing and fitting. Impressive that you wrote you own renderer, that goes without saying. |
| Oct 11 18:49:56 | 7m 30s | Ego | ♥ 2 | I love the visuals and the atmosphere it creates with the audio! |
| Oct 11 19:05:35 | 15m 39s | Skrungle Rescue | ♥ 1 | I saved all the Skrungles! Even though I discovered that fight was hardly a good option. However I love the retro graphics and the catchy tunes! |
| Oct 12 15:03:10 | 19h 57m | Snake Sleuth | ♥ 1 | Addicting! However starting at level 6 it too often happens that the lower tiles get clogged up with 2-tile snakes with no hope of removing them which eventually leads to me not finding any possible snakes to select. |
| Oct 12 15:22:20 | 19m 10s | Dr Shrink and the Horrors of the Infinite | ♥ 2 | That's a very cool and funny idea! Unintentionally shrinking yourself multiple times is hilarious! All the criticism and tips I would give are already pointed out above, so I'll leave you with a well done 😄 Impressive for your first game jam. |
| Oct 13 08:14:04 | 16h 51m | Nomnoms | ♥ 1 | NOM NOM NOM! Very fun concept, despite being a bit too easy. The sound design was cute. Controlling a ravenous swarm is a great power fantasy! |
| Oct 13 08:22:03 | 7m 59s | TinyTrip | ♥ 2 | Simple, short and fun. I love the ending! |
| Oct 14 16:43:59 | 32h 21m | Squish'em all | ♥ 2 | Wow, so many options to fight the ants! |
| Oct 15 14:38:13 | 21h 54m | Tossed and Found | ♥ 2 | It's super fun and cute! First I expected the creatures to be hostile and was positively surprised they all help you in some way or another. Unfortunately you can get stuck and then you're unable to proceed. |
| Oct 15 15:08:47 | 30m 34s | Microbe Mashup | ♥ 0 | It's a nice concept and simple design. However once you have 5 organelles and put them all on damage, you automatically win every fight. |
| Oct 15 15:48:43 | 39m 56s | Tiny Turf Tussle | ♥ 4 | This one is amazing! Spamming 6 goblin huts per turn felt completely over-powered until my enemy started spamming those electric towers with no hope in countering that. image_2024-10-15_174750937.png |
| Oct 15 15:57:47 | 9m 04s | Creature Stealer | ♥ 1 | This could really grow into something! I like the atmosphere and the overall level, but as of now gameplay and activities seem lacking. |
| Oct 16 16:14:07 | 24h 16m | Sting Operation | ♥ 2 | Impressive level size for a jam! However I felt like the darts should belong to the left mouse button as it is your primary weapon. The honey hardly made any difference for me while playing. Perhaps more challenging enemies and forcing a more tactical approach from the player would've done this entry good. |
| Oct 16 16:17:59 | 3m 52s | Secret Shroom | ♥ 1 | The slug felt really slippery while playing, which made jumping on shrooms a big hassle, considering you often have to pick up and replant them. However the variety of mushrooms and the puzzle design itself was nice. Maybe I just have an aversion to platformers. Plus I really liked the graphics. |
| Oct 16 22:28:57 | 6h 10m | Cheddar Chaser | ♥ 1 | If the hoard of cats weren't so incompetent, this would make for a great stealth game! Love the concept. |
| Oct 17 18:42:51 | 20h 13m | Antropy - LD56 Edition | ♥ 1 | Hey a strategy game! That's always complex to tackle within the scope of a jam, so you've got my respect for that. It worked well for me, however it took a while to figure out how things work. The controls felt weird and seeing them only pop up during the intro results in me forgetting them immediately. A few hints here and there or maybe even in the game description would have helped. Aside from that, it lacks a bit of challenge later on with no clear goal. But that's understandable given the time constraints. |
| Oct 18 15:37:08 | 20h 54m | LUCA | ♥ 2 | Very cool concept, even though it's quite complicated to understand at first. Once you get into it, it's fun to build your cells and experiment with it. It reminded me of some space shooter I've made during college. Aside from a tutorial a dedicated build menu would also help. Having a dialog for each cell in contrast to a menu, where you select your cells and then paint them onto the hex grid, would reduce the effort of expansion a lot and might also be easier to understand. |
| Oct 18 15:44:53 | 7m 45s | Tic Tac Trillion | ♥ 2 | Interesting to score by points. However the AI isn't smart enough to stop me from making a very long line and thus quickly winning without thinking a lot. |
| Oct 19 10:00:56 | 18h 16m | Worm Eats Apples | ♥ 1 | Great game for a first entry! Very simple indeed and there's lot of room for improvement. But it's complete and features multiplayer, which is already more than just a prototype. So be proud and keep on learning! |
| Oct 20 20:00:19 | 33h 59m | Evolve | ♥ 1 | It really took me back to playing Spore years ago. Even though after several attempts I didn't manage to evolve once because giant cells kept eating me. I guess I was just unlucky...? |
| Oct 24 08:26:35 | 84h 26m | Fungi | ♥ 0 | Really cute graphics and wholesome interactions! Though wobbly camera and weird Unity moon physics are strong within this one. Plus solving a puzzle and always backtracking to the last NPC seems like an unnecessary hassle. |
| Oct 24 08:56:23 | 29m 48s | Immunity | ♥ 0 | I love the art style! Unfortunately it's all so tiny that it's hard to see the details. I didn't even notice at first that touching pathogens marks them with an antibody. |
| Oct 24 15:17:11 | 6h 20m | Pseudopseudopodia, or amoeba walking simulator | ♥ 1 | This is a cool demo to play around with! Even though I was unable to envelop the other amoeba and eat it. Instead the level just reset itself. |
| Oct 25 13:51:24 | 22h 34m | Stellar Slime Ranch | ♥ 0 | I like the concept of non-traditional tower defense games like this. I think it can be the base of a greater, more complex game. Though I was wondering what it actually had to do with farming, as I was rather shooting the slimes down. Also the difficulty scaling of the rounds was questionable as often later rounds were suddenly easier than the one before that. |
