May 2 11:30:42 Pizza Dash ♥ 2 Wow the art is so pretty! Such striking colours, and so much detail everywhere! I really liked the final puzzly thing with the pizza, and wish that final level was a bit more fleshed out to make use of that mechanic better. The timer on that was a great change of pace, and I was hoping for just a bit more, it was very fun. There was a few times that I felt I couldn't possibly beat a section, then surprised myself when actually hey, I did beat it, what a great feeling. The music and sounds really brought it all together, excellent little game! ❤️
May 2 11:51:46 21m 04s PARCEL PUNISHER ♥ 1 Hoo boy that final level is tough as nails! I really enjoyed the fast paced levels, but with that one being so long, I had to play very cautiously, which was different, but it didn't really feel like the game's strong point, so it didn't quite feel right ending it there. I was probably just playing it wrong, trying to lure people and only attacking with the box since it's safest, but slow. There could've maybe been like a timer or some sort of bonus in the end to incentivise speedy play for that specific level. I really love the earlier levels though, so fast paced, I can't believe that each level only took like 5 seconds to beat. So much happened in those few seconds, absolutely crazy gameplay! And the soundtrack is such a banger, I felt like the coolest delivery guy to ever be drawn on paper. Brilliant game, glad I came back to it now that I'm fully awake =P
May 2 12:07:16 15m 30s Forklift-em-up ♥ 3 Wow that crate durability is some absolutely despicable game design, I love it. Each crate has five durability, and enemies have two health, so the crate breaks midway through killing someone, brutal. I wish the durability indicator was closer to the action though, it's sitting on the corner of the screen, but my attention is fully at the centre trying to avoid dying. But knowing the crate durability was critical to my survival, so I'd often lose track of it and get bitten. If the crate could change its texture when it's one hit away from breaking as a warning, I think that'd help me to get much further than I did. I love the feeling of absolutely smashing the zombies to pieces though, you really nail the action every time!
May 3 05:44:00 17h 36m Hazard Saviour ♥ 3 WHAT IN THE WHAT THIS IS INSANE. HOW IS THE WORLD SO HUGE??? Where does it end? Did you sleep? What? How? It's so polished? So many tilesets, enemies and upgrades too? WOW God I just wanna be able to explore it all and look around, from my first playthrough I found the timer too much. I keep getting stuck super duper far away from the target, where there's somewhere I wanna be but it's behind a wall in a room I gotta go all the way around to reach. Would be super fun if my powerups I bought were saved between runs, so I could build up an epic arsenal rather than gaining all this stuff 30 seconds away from death... Also rip seems that when I minimise the window and write this the timer keeps ticking, heck. I also wish that you gained time from submitting people. Also minor bug, you can't respawn after dying, the 'press any button' doesn't work But really man this game is insane, I LOVE IT. The scope of game that you tackle is simply insane and you can totally play this for hours. Every frame is gorgeous, every challenge is fun, the sound and music is so so perfect! I just realised that the delivery start and end spots are randomised, neat! I really wanna explore more of the upgrades, but I'll needa come back to try some of that. I kept investing in the boring timer upgrades, but damn these new weapons are super exciting! Top tier game, simply amazing ❤️
May 3 11:19:29 5h 35m F. Ragile ♥ 1 Oh wow, I love the simplistic joy of this game. It's just the right level of difficulty that I can play and not need to learn any complicated mechanics, I really appreciate the break that this game offered, a chance to just relax. The game was fun the art is charming and the music is such a classic! I do wish that you were blocked from going offscreen rather than it instantly killing you, the threshold on where you die is a bit fuzzy and I often wanted to dodge but ended up killing the run instantly instead. Still I really love this game, the minimalism is very very refreshing ❤️
May 3 11:42:22 22m 53s De-LIVER ♥ 2 I was pleasantly surprised by this game, whilst it felt unintuitive at the start, after fiveish runs I was absolutely blitzing through levels. That stab-the-bounce-pad-to-launch-yourself mechanic is really damn fun, and even though the enemies felt like a non-threat (I was just speedrunning past without ever killing them), the jump pads still added some interesting challenges to the platforming. I found the money earned from winning to be pretty meh tho, I won twice, and collected the organ a few times without escaping, and throughout all that only had enough to purchase one health upgrade. If we got more money there could be a better sense of progression, and give more reason to go for 'just one more run'. I love the animations, particularly the idle animation and what, that soundtrack was so freaking epic. Great little game ❤️
May 7 14:53:12 99h 10m Fragile ♥ 1 Hey hey, thanks for adding it to stream, even if I couldn't quite get it, I really enjoyed this game! It's sometimes a bit tedious and sometimes feels unfair, but mastering that dash felt great! https://www.twitch.tv/videos/1813689516
May 7 14:54:51 1m 39s Hell'o-Cargo ♥ 5 Top tier art and polish, wow! Thanks for sharing it on stream, here's da vod; https://www.twitch.tv/videos/1813689516
May 7 14:57:32 2m 41s Back to the Roots ♥ 1 I'm not quite sure what I was doing, but from the sounds of it, you've got a good direction to head. I hope the stream is helpful in improving the game or for your future endeavours! Here's a link to the vod; https://www.twitch.tv/videos/1813689516
May 7 14:59:28 1m 56s The Ferryman ♥ 1 Neat little point and click game, thanks for submitting to the stream! Here's the vod if you'd like to rewatch; https://www.twitch.tv/videos/1813689516
May 7 15:01:01 1m 33s Air Shipping ♥ 2 Such an awesome game, wow! The graphics are so polished, the UI is clear, a goal is clearly in sight and the game never felt too easy or hard. Really such a perfect entry, well done! If you'd like to rewatch the stream, there's a vod here; https://www.twitch.tv/videos/1813689516
May 7 15:03:49 2m 48s Pack It Up ♥ 4 Thanks for submitting your game to stream, but sorry my frustration tolerance is so low... I could only wish for options to save more frequently, as the checkpoints were super unforgiving with their separation. If you'd like, you can watch the stream's vod here; https://www.twitch.tv/videos/1813689516
May 7 15:05:30 1m 41s DElive ♥ 1 Fun little game, damn! Smart way to get lots of content with minimal dev time, though it would make it hard to replay when each stage is the same. Here's the stream vod if you'd like to rewatch; https://www.twitch.tv/videos/1813689516
May 7 15:07:16 1m 46s Ambrosia ♥ 1 I simply cannot believe how incredible this game looks. That intro was worth watching through every time, though it did make it hard to replay and improve my score. If you'd like, you can rewatch the stream here; https://www.twitch.tv/videos/1813689516
May 7 15:10:36 3m 20s POSTMAN ♥ 1 What a cute little game, whilst I didn't get it initially, I got very invested towards the end, only for it to end super abruptly. I'd love to have seen this longer, perhaps with a slightly smaller scope, but better explored mechanics. You can rewatch the stream here; https://www.twitch.tv/videos/1813689516
May 7 15:12:17 1m 41s 5-STAR ♥ 1 Damn you got the full streamer coverage, nice. I didn't realise that the goal was score, and when the cat stole a package, I assumed I'd lost rather than simply lost score. It's an interesting approach to a level based game that I don't think I've seen before. Here's a vod that you can rewatch the stream; https://www.twitch.tv/videos/1813689516
May 8 10:28:04 19h 15m Mail-In Vengeance ♥ 2 Damn now I really wanna get up with all ten of my attacks, best I got was eight. Cool way to show health, where taking a hit isn't exactly failure, but is one hit fewer you'll do to the dragon who'll otherwise get you. I like how lenient that is, and it gives the player a chance to realise 'oh sheeet I needa do better'. Would've been neat if the game better connected with the hero aspect though, like e.g. what if you could enchant the weapon with fire or poison by flying through a particular ring, or maybe you could build up block, or select which card you give, whether that be shield, sword, perhaps a health potion or more. These could be floating around the level, and it's up to you to navigate into them so your hero can draw and use these cards. Still though, nice little game, I particularly love the soundscape, it really brings the world to life ❤️
May 8 12:06:50 1h 38m STARFLAIL ♥ 0 This is such a damn cool game, getting a multi combo with the flail is just... WOW. But also damn I suck. My 'best' run was on my very first try, before I realised I had to do deliveries. I was just having fun spinning out of control and killing as many doods as possible. Then next run I realised I had to do deliveries, and idk, it felt less fun from there? Like I still can do the spinning out of control for no reason thing, but the game clearly wants me going over there instead and doing this forever isn't really getting me anywhere. And now that my goal is to go over there instead of killing guys, idk it just isn't meshing right and my flailing game is suffering. If I stop trying to deliver, I am badass, but whilst delivering I just try to clip a few guys and fail most of the time. I'm pretty sure this is a me problem, I just wanna flail around endlessly, but whilst delivering I tend to fail instead of flail. Best deliveries I've gotten is just 1, but the highest combo I got was x25. Flailing is so much fun, the physics you've made feel so intuitive even as the flail's momentum affects you. Combos feel so good, and music is a total banger. Love the lenient lose condition, though I did occasionally run out of fuel without realising I was low. Awesome game, the level of polish is crazy ❤️
May 9 14:20:07 26h 13m Deliverables - LD53 ♥ 1 This child is aptly named 'Not even a mother could love this' Screenshot 2023-05-10 001131.png I wasn't expecting story from this, and the way you did the text along the side of the screen is real slick! It was hard to read that whilst also focusing on the car zooming to the horizon, and I definitely died a few times before I figured out the key to press to respond. Even though you showed the key to press, my attention was on not crashing, it would be helpful to pause the game when an option comes up, or maybe you could even have the response be controlled by how you drive, e.g. there could be a yes and no text painted on the road, and whichever you drive over is the one you answer. Then the dialogue could've felt like part of the game rather than something separate on the side. Funny that you can name the babies even if it doesn't seem other people can see your babies (honestly probably a good thing). The core gameplay was clear, and it's neat that each time the scenario gets longer with more text. A neat little game ❤️
May 10 04:44:20 14h 24m Mission: Programmable ♥ 1 hmmm is this broken? The console says I can move right 5 times to win, but clearly I'll just fall in a hole. It looks like the levels aren't loading right for me? Screenshot 2023-05-10 144340.png When restarting, I get a bunch of Unknown Color errors, which I presume is corrupting the levels Screenshot 2023-05-10 144517.png
May 10 08:31:06 3h 46m Air Delivery ♥ 0 Such a lovely little game, it's really just what I was looking to play. An easy going, fun mini metroidvania, there's not much more to say than thank you for making it
May 10 09:44:43 1h 13m Ravenhaul ♥ 2 I love this game but... YOUR PROGRESS DOESN'T SAVE!!! AHHHH! There was no mention in game that progress isn't saved, I wish that at the very least this was clarified and optimally for a game of this size, I wish it saved so I could come back tomorrow... This game was so polished I thought yeah, surely it'll save. No red flashing lights, seems legit. But alas... 😢 Amazing game though, like damn. So well polished and that art?! What?! And music?! Wow. And whole game vibe?! Woa ❤️
May 10 14:40:21 4h 55m Superfetch Dog ♥ 0 I absolutely adore this game. I played it for a while on and off whilst streaming, kept coming back to it looking for more, and enjoyed it every time. I've got a vod here, but yea you'll needa scrub through and find the three or so fragments of me playing this. https://www.twitch.tv/videos/1816190498 The dynamic soundtrack is such perfection. The gradual story told by the hooman was both cute and soul crushing. And bouncing around as a silly little dog fetching orbs was so fun, I love all the little gamey features that each feel so satisfying to play with. Really a perfect 10/10 game, incredible ❤️
May 10 14:46:37 6m 16s Parcel Larceny ♥ 1 This was so much fun to stream, thanks for submitting it! I love how soft everything is, like if you make a mistake (like stepping in the vision of a camera, or stepping on a flower or triggering the dog), it wasn't necessarily game over, you could still do things to save the run. The increasing chaos of it all, and keeping all of the obstacles in mind was really fun! Here's a link to the vod if you wanna rewatch; https://www.twitch.tv/videos/1816190498
May 10 14:48:15 1m 38s Giggle Groove ♥ 1 Very fun little game, goddamn hard, but also fun. Nailing the jokes felt fun, even if I only rarely managed it. Here's a link to the vod if you wanna rewatch; https://www.twitch.tv/videos/1816190498
May 10 14:49:46 1m 31s soul sender ♥ 1 I absolutely love zooming around in this car, the controls feel really fun to go quick with. Though I felt that the game punished me too much for having this fun, I wish there was value in going quick and playing risky, as I felt this was where the game was at its strongest. Still a neat little game, here's a link to the vod if you wanna rewatch; https://www.twitch.tv/videos/1816190498
May 10 14:52:56 3m 10s Delivery Boy Express ♥ 2 I was really surprised by how much damn fun this game was. The controls at the start were quite... finnicky and I had incorrectly guessed this would detract from the game, but once I had that figured, the sheer chaos of the game was such that I couldn't help smiling the whole time! I love how everything interacts with each other, and it was great watching it all unfold in bizarre and often comedic ways. Here's a link to the stream vod if you wanna rewatch; https://www.twitch.tv/videos/1816190498
May 10 14:58:38 5m 42s Parcel Panic ♥ 1 I'd love to see more variations on this core mechanic, like if there were more rules that got added over time, or even if there was a chance for expectations to be broken. Like each time I saw a letter, I'd deliver without weighing it. What if there was like a 10% chance that actually something was in the letter and it weighed a bunch, so you'd needa weigh more frequently. And with the zip codes I got very used to them starting with 10, what if there was a small chance for it to start with something else? I suppose these things make it more rng oriented than skill-based, but I think rare things, or even a greater variety of common things could help break up the repetition. Still though, the game's got a strong core and I am surprised how much I was able to improve my package management with experience. Here's a link to the stream vod if you wanna rewatch; https://www.twitch.tv/videos/1816190498
May 10 15:01:59 3m 21s WitchDelivr ♥ 2 Wow, so many various little mechanics in this, though I can't help but feel the time could've been better spent elsewhere in the game. Whilst proc-gen, walking, and pedestrians all make the world feel I suppose a bit more alive, they didn't really impact the game much, and could've either been more important mechanics, or be cut in favour of others. Still though, you have done great building up your world, and bonking random pedestrians is pretty funny. Here's a link to the stream vod if you wanna rewatch; https://www.twitch.tv/videos/1816190498
May 10 15:06:56 4m 57s Blind Delivery ♥ 1 The graphics in this game really blow my mind, most incredible art that I've ever not seen. It's really neat though how you've made a game that can be fully played blind. You can really hear where you are in relation to the other things, the footsteps for example stop when against a wall, the step sounds indicate what you're standing on and the npcs reference different materials when describing places you needa go, a great auditory hint! Here's the link to the stream vod if you'd like to rewatch; https://www.twitch.tv/videos/1816190498
May 10 15:09:22 2m 26s The Night Witches ♥ 3 Really neat game, I'm surprised how much you were able to restrict each level without introducing walls or permanent kill zones. But rather the enemies patrol in just the right way that you get restricted in interesting ways, leading to problem-solving. Here's a link to the stream vod if you'd like to rewatch; https://www.twitch.tv/videos/1816190498
May 10 15:13:13 3m 51s Per My Last Bullet, ♥ 2 Love the art of this game, the player's run cycle in particular is so expressive! I enjoyed the combat for the most part, but occasionally found it frustrating that the enemies didn't have a clear behaviour. Sometimes they were brutally easy to kill, and sometimes they unexpectedly sniped you with little chance to dodge. I wonder if simply having visibility indicators (like an exclamation mark over their head when they see you) could help. Here's a link to the stream vod if you'd like to rewatch; https://www.twitch.tv/videos/1816190498
May 10 15:17:05 3m 52s Data Delivery ♥ 0 This has a neat concept that led to some fun puzzles. There was only two puzzles that I disliked, the last one (which I still don't know how to beat) and the maze one. The maze wasn't really a puzzle, felt like it was there just to test your patience and didn't bring anything interesting to the table. And for the final puzzle I had multiple solutions that I thought should work, but didn't because of some nuance I don't quite understand. But still, overall the puzzles were really good, and I was genuinely surprised by a few. Here's a link to the stream vod if you'd like to rewatch; https://www.twitch.tv/videos/1816190498
May 13 05:15:45 61h 58m ▲●■♚ ♥ 1 Such a brilliantly simplistic game, immediately clear what to do and how to do it! And damn I could play it entirely on my phone browser, with all these bulky game engines, it’s been a long time since I’ve seen a game do that. Really fun, it’s neat how unlocking extra nodes was valuable beyond just the resources, as you got extra links to build. I enjoyed it as a casual experience where I built up as large of a network as possible, but it’s also neat that there’s additional challenges in the leaderboard. Such a brilliant game! ❤️
May 17 09:18:11 100h 02m Under 30 Minutes ♥ 1 Damn, nice game! Dual wielding felt great, I love the animation for when you pick up a gun and firing is super crunchy. I did manage to fall out of bounds at one point when an enemy pushed me through the wall of the elevator, but a quick restart got me back into the action. Though on that replay I tried playing a bit differently for the hell of it, less shooty and more just sprint to the delivery zone and run back before any enemies spawned. This worked on a surprising number of levels, though it felt like you clued into it towards the end, where enemies quickly spawn blocking your path (good choice). Though once back into the actiony side of the gameplay, I found myself falling into quite a basic loop of 'stand in the elevator, dual wield weapons, spam both left and right mouse, profit'. I'm not sure if this is how you intended players to play, I feel like you've got a great space to run around and nice movement controls, and it would've been fun to run around and shoot things simultaneously. The reason I didn't play like this is because of the constant threat of being flanked, with just the one circular hallway, it would be very easy for enemies to lock me in, and I can only shoot one direction at a time so I'd get hit in the back. Perhaps a larger or more open level could've encouraged more movement during combat, and you could also have the elevator doors open on both sides, so you're immediately vulnerable from behind and want to get moving to avoid being flanked. I think this would help the combat feel more dynamic, where the player needs to think on their feet to stay alive, though I still enjoyed just spamming, the shooting feels so super crunchy! Overall a nice little game, you've done well bringing it all together ❤️
May 17 09:43:33 25m 22s Deadwood Delivery Dash ♥ 2 Holy wow, brilliant art, 10/5 in that regard, such a lovely style! I love all the detail in the cart, like the skidding, the animations of the bull and how great turning feels. Though I did feel a bit worn out by the game, as I was frequently focused on shooting, then a slight steering error sends me into a wall, instant game over. I really wish this was less punishing, if it could just take off some health, or perhaps depend on what you're carrying. With how punishing the movement is, I eventually gave up on shooting, as the enemies would hit rarely enough that you could just ignore them, which is a shame really, the gunplay is quite fun. But I just couldn't handle multitasking the two and had to prioritise the greater threat. I also found the enemy respawning to be quite aggressive, I think enemies should respawn when you complete a delivery, rather than every 10ish seconds. I did figure out the differences between the packages, but only through trial and error (crates do nothing, vases break yielding no money if you're hit, tnt instantly explodes if you're hit). I also initially thought I was getting an upgrade, because I'd just submitted the task and it felt like a reward rather than receiving the next task. I also wasn't particularly excited by the different package types, they only really augment your health, but it would've been fun if they also augmented your abilities in either positive or negative ways. Maybe a barrel of beer would throw off your aim, or maybe the dynamite could make your shots explosive (but still have the one hit KO to balance it and give risk/reward), and maybe vases could result in you taking damage if you turn too quickly, so you'd need to be careful with how you move. Things like this could help the game feel more dynamic and make it harder for players to fall into consistent, safe and boring gameplay loops. Still though, what an awesome game! I truly can't believe your art style, it's definitely one my favourites from recent memory! I didn't have any problems with sound (why can't people just... turn down their system volume?) and despite the criticism above, I really enjoyed my time with it ❤️
May 17 10:10:09 26m 36s Bocks & Co. ♥ 0 Damn I love the logos, they're all so cute and funny! Though I really really wish that the 'breezy' mode was significantly longer, or better still, endless until I hit submit. Whilst I totally get that your vision of the game was the stress, I was really enjoying just drawing these silly little logos and didn't like getting interrupted by the timer expiring. I found even the 35 second mode to be very stressful, especially on big logos like the steak hands that needed filling in. Perhaps a fill bucket could've helped here. I also had difficulty identifying what colour goes where. Like I could often see the breaks, like a different colour goes here vs there, but with how transparent it was, it was difficult to determine exactly which colour to use. I think it would be helpful if there was a reference sheet that had no transparency, or maybe you could show over the top of the colour the number that corresponds to that colour. Screenshot 2023-05-17 195713.png Still though, very neat game, it was fun playing it a few times to see all of the logos! It took me a few tries to beat breezy, and I could just barely manage fine but don't think I'm fast enough for any of the others. With the game rating me on the quality of my drawings, I really wanted to take my time, so it took a few runs to break that preconceived notion. But once that was broken, I did enjoy the speed. Lovely game ❤️
May 19 07:58:41 45h 48m Quantron's Game ♥ 1 I gave it a quick play cos it looked cool (sorry I didn't have enough time to do a full playthrough), but it's neat what you've got so far! I just wanted to comment that as cool as the shader is, I found it a bit uncomfortable to look at the game because of all the flickering. I don't think the game's actually flickering, but the bars are just too close together and sampling is causing that flicker, it's particularly noticeable when moving. You could perhaps make the bars wider so that sampling is less of an issue (or maybe an option to turn off the shader if you want). Again though, the game seems great, I just didn't have much time to explore it and wanted to leave this small feedback ❤️
