Oct 5 06:13:18 Sasha Jump ♥ 2 This was a neat entry! Both aesthetically and narratively gave me some Chrono Trigger vibes, which is nothing but a good thing! I do have a little pet peeve when it comes to top-down pixel games like this *not* having grid-based movement, but that's just a personal thing. It's super impressive that you were able to crank this out solo!
Oct 5 06:31:26 18m 08s Spaceship Parking Simulator ♥ 1 Holy hell I am really bad at this. xD Don't think I ever managed to land on more than one planet. This is a really neat take on the Lunar Lander type game, though! :) Being able to land on a planet when coming in from any direction definitely makes things interesting! I also thought the nebulas were a neat idea to add some variety to the game.
Oct 5 06:40:21 8m 55s Jeff's every 10 seconds ♥ 0 A+ presentation here, man! I love how you are able to teach the player what they need to do through the gameplay itself, rather than breaking the immersion with the tutorial. The visuals are also extremely effective, and the audio, while simple, is exactly what it needs to be for an experience like this. I diiiiiid lose the narrative a bit near the end there (maybe a replay or two would help), but otherwise this was an awesomely effective experience!!
Oct 5 20:16:16 13h 35m Keep Skating and Nobody Explodes ♥ 1 This was a nice little entry! I actually kinda like the "Skate"-esque control scheme where you have to manually push off the ground to move forward. 👍 I did find the tricks to be a little difficult to pull off sometimes (I don't think I ever managed to land on a rail properly), but once I got the hang of a few combos, they were pretty fun to pull off! I do think some audio cues would really enhance the experience, since I never could really tell when I would meet the threshold and have my timer reset. But otherwise I had a great time with this one!
Oct 5 20:24:01 7m 45s The Artist ♥ 1 I'm uh...really bad at this. 😅 I don't think I ever managed to do even a single point of damage on the Artist. Maybe I'm not fully comprehending the rules, but I tried a few times and really struggled to get through his defenses. I like the idea of the Artist drawing on your cards to give them new abilities! It seems like I'm just incentivized to play my entire hand whenever I can though, otherwise I'll be at a disadvantage. Neat idea though! I always like seeing card-based games in LD. :)
Oct 5 20:59:05 35m 04s retry10 ♥ 1 I quite enjoyed this one! I really thought the game opened up to a lot of potential once you were able to pick up and move the teleporter to different places. I do wish there was a *bit* more visual feedback in terms of what is interactable and what isn't, as well as some audio feedback for when you successfully "used" something on something else, but I imagine you likely didn't have time for that in a jam time crunch. 😅 Regardless, I found a lot of these puzzles to be pretty clever, and I can imagine a full game where that takes advantage of a lot of the things you've set up here, so well done!
Oct 9 02:49:01 77h 49m Type Train ♥ 4 [Y'all really outdid yourselves with this one!](https://youtu.be/04UQz6th9Ko?t=1265) Loved the art and the music, as usual. 👍 The gameplay was also just the right amount of chaotic and hilarious. It was a liiiiiiiiiiiiittle difficult for me to remember which cars matched with which numbers on my keyboard, but that could totally just be a me issue. 😛
Oct 9 02:51:38 2m 37s Trashpunk ♥ 1 [Nicely done, sir!](https://youtu.be/04UQz6th9Ko?t=2851) This one's got that classic "I don't care how hard you think this is" Pomo brand, which can make it super satisfying for folks to master if they put the time in. 👍 Keep up the good work, m'dude!
Oct 9 02:54:11 2m 33s Speed Dating for Misfits ♥ 1 [Nice job with this one, man!](https://youtu.be/04UQz6th9Ko?t=4088) I love how you managed to sneak in a bunch of characters from your previous games, they all seem to fit in super naturally here! 😄 pls patch in a happy ending for lil wormy. My boi deserves it. 🙏
Oct 9 02:56:58 2m 47s Chicken Produced All (Clicker game) ♥ 2 https://youtu.be/04UQz6th9Ko?t=5131 Thanks for submitting your game to stream! These little guys were adorable and it was a ton of fun getting them all to fill up the screen. I'm a Ballooney fan for life. 🎈 ❤️
Oct 9 02:59:11 2m 13s Neural Dodge ♥ 1 https://youtu.be/04UQz6th9Ko?t=6030 Thanks for submitting your game to stream! What a fun audio/visual experience, as usual! I did have a little bit of trouble getting the faster beats to work for me, but I love how the perspective changes the longer you survive. A very fun game to play and replay!
Oct 9 03:02:01 2m 50s Foodmnesia ♥ 3 https://youtu.be/04UQz6th9Ko?t=7296 Thanks for submitting your game to stream! I swear to god hotdogs are impossible to make. 🤣 This was a fun little Overcooked-esque game, well done! Hernan is my hero. o7
Oct 9 03:05:24 3m 23s Timebound ♥ 4 https://youtu.be/04UQz6th9Ko?t=8680 Thank you for submitting your game to stream! It took me a while to really learn the rules about what was happening in the game, but once I managed to figure it out, it was pretty fun! I was a bit bummed that the game ended after the Leash puzzle, because I was super excited to see what y'all would do with that mechanic! I definitely think this would be a great project to expand on in the future. 🙂
Oct 9 03:08:55 3m 31s To Catch a Wizard ♥ 1 https://youtu.be/04UQz6th9Ko?t=9522 Almost 20 min of pain, but all very well worth it! Kinda nuts that you were able to crank all of this out under Compo constraints, nice job! That boss can burn in hell... 😈
Oct 9 03:12:14 3m 19s Terminal Velocity ♥ 1 https://youtu.be/04UQz6th9Ko?t=11345 What a great entry! I loved the way you made obstacles/boosts that could only be interacted with via the flip mechanic. It elevates the flip to be something more than just a dedicated speedrunner maneuver. Very nice touch. 👌
Oct 9 03:14:55 2m 41s An Average Day At The Cat Cafe ♥ 0 https://youtu.be/04UQz6th9Ko?t=12572 Thanks for submitting your game to stream! Although it was super overwhelming at first, it felt SUPER good to get into the groove of mixing drinks. ☕️ I also love the way you add some personality to the customers by adding *other* things to serve like toilet paper and money 🤣 The day/night cycle is also super neat, since it not only changes the music, but also the types of customers who come through the door. Just all-in-all oozing character, this one!
Oct 9 03:21:06 6m 11s Downpour ♥ 4 https://youtu.be/04UQz6th9Ko?t=13822 It should be illegal for a game to be this cute. Absolutely wonderful job with this one, guys. The game managed to avoid all of the usual trappings of a quickly-made 2D platformer, so it was lovely to play on top of being an audio/visual treat. Super solid entry!
Oct 10 02:54:35 23h 33m Tense Conds ♥ 1 https://youtu.be/Xty0TvPfvGA?t=718 Thanks for submitting your game to stream! Once again, it's insane that you not only made a game in assembly, but you managed to make a FUN game as well. Super impressive stuff as always, m'dude! 👍
Oct 10 02:59:34 4m 59s Getting Farted On ♥ 1 https://youtu.be/Xty0TvPfvGA?t=2415 Glad we had the opportunity to play this on stream! I gotta say, this is prolly one of my favorites of yours. 🙂 Just a solid game at its core, and the multiplayer is essentially the cherry on top. Clearly the only thing Getting Over It needed was in-game friends with the ability to laugh at you the moment you fail. 🤣
Oct 10 03:03:20 3m 46s Blades of Doom ♥ 1 https://youtu.be/Xty0TvPfvGA?t=3985 Thanks for submitting your game to stream! I always really like games like this, a super simple concept that is SUPER polished on not only the visual/audio but also the gameplay feel. This one was just a pleasant experience all around (although some would perhaps not recommend playing it with input lag over Parsec, lol).
Oct 10 03:07:15 3m 55s SENSATIONS ♥ 1 https://youtu.be/Xty0TvPfvGA?t=4750 Thanks for submitting your game to stream! Again, I wanted to re-iterate how much I appreciate the extra effort that went into making this 2D platformer feel nice to play. 🙏 Nice job!!
Oct 10 03:08:40 1m 25s Le_Invaders ♥ 1 https://youtu.be/Xty0TvPfvGA?t=5433 Thanks for submitting your game to stream! I kinda like how troll-y this game can be, especially when it hides my character or my bullets. Super unique way to take advantage of the simple asethetic!
Oct 10 03:11:55 3m 15s Groceries Please! ♥ 2 https://youtu.be/Xty0TvPfvGA?t=6524 Thanks for submitting your game to stream! Obviously we goofed around with the game quite a bit despite the serious tone, but I actually really enjoyed what y'all made here. 🙂 Solid visuals, audio, and gameplay all-around. Nice job!
Oct 10 03:15:57 4m 02s Room Again ♥ 3 https://youtu.be/Xty0TvPfvGA?t=7696 Thanks for submitting your game to stream! Very charming art on this. 🙂 I felt like the 10 seconds was maybe a biiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiit too tight in some puzzles, but whaddaya gonna do about the theme I guess. 🤷 Nice job! Always enjoy a good escape room puzzle.
Oct 10 03:20:23 4m 26s Blind Jump ♥ 2 https://youtu.be/Xty0TvPfvGA?t=8525 Thanks for submitting your game to stream! This is definitely one of my favorites. 👍 A creative interpretation of the theme that goes beyond being a simple timer, a super interesting mechanic, and well thought out, cleverly-designed levels. Just an out-and-out banger entry. 🔥
Oct 10 03:22:51 2m 28s Night At The Orphanarium ♥ 1 https://youtu.be/Xty0TvPfvGA?t=9700 Thanks for submitting your game to stream! Again, super adorable artwork here. I also love how the music changes with the day/night cycle. I also just love the absurdity of the premise. 😆
Oct 10 03:26:12 3m 21s Sweet Nightmare ♥ 1 https://youtu.be/Xty0TvPfvGA?t=10728 Thanks for submitting your game to stream! Kinda crazy how many different mechanics you were able to cram into a single weekend. I like how significantly it changes things up, too. Took a while to learn, but once I got it, it was pretty fun! 🙂
Oct 10 03:28:18 2m 06s HURTEC ♥ 2 https://youtu.be/Xty0TvPfvGA?t=11789 Thanks for submitting your game to stream! Once again, love the creativity you bring to your games. 🙂 I especially like the mechanic for shooting once your mech gets "damaged." I can totally see that being a fun mechanic in a bigger game, if you ever wanted to flesh it out more!
Oct 10 03:40:18 12m 00s Busy Tracks ♥ 1 https://youtu.be/Xty0TvPfvGA?t=12586 Thanks for submitting your game to stream! Cannot believe how much you tried to cram in here, lol. What you DID manage to get in is still super impressive too! I'd actually be super interested to see where you take this if you decide to work on it further. It has the potential to have a nice, cozy vibe to it. 👍
Oct 10 03:42:48 2m 30s Farming Fatigue ♥ 0 https://youtu.be/Xty0TvPfvGA?t=13595 Thanks for submitting your game to stream! The polish on this one, with the art, audio, and gameplay is next-level. 👍 Really impressive work here, y'all, one of my favorites so far!
Oct 10 06:13:40 2h 30m Home R.I.P.airs ♥ 1 This was a neat little game! I managed to get through the entire thing without seeing a single ghost cuz I was mashin' fix 'n salt like a madman. 😆 So I figured I'd give it another go just to see what the ghosts were like. I do think they do a good job of changing up the gameplay, but I think they should probably pop up more frequently to ensure the player always has to contend with them at least once! Very unique game all-around, though. I always enjoy the more non-combat-focused entries. 🙂
Oct 17 18:43:50 180h 30m Sweet Seconds ♥ 1 https://youtu.be/Yp7YCi13v_k?t=608 Thanks for submitting your game to stream!! Despite how angry I was getting, that's just how I get when I'm super focused on something and have to juggle a bunch of tasks at once. 😆 This game is definitely my cup of tea, and it was executed very effectively, nice job!
Oct 17 19:07:03 23m 13s Blink ♥ 1 https://youtu.be/Yp7YCi13v_k?t=2784 Thanks for submitting your game to stream! You pretty much won my heart after the "hold your eyes closed" mechanic was introduced. That was SUPER clever and felt very cool to figure out! I did find the QR code stuff to get a liiiiiiittle tedious near the end, but I did appreciate the unique way you went about telling this story. Fantastic job, all around!
Oct 17 19:13:34 6m 31s Clique Hell High ♥ 3 https://youtu.be/Yp7YCi13v_k?t=4707 Thanks for submitting your game to stream! On top of being adorable/hilarious, I really enjoyed the unique mechanics you've got goin' on here. :) I appreciated the audio cue to give me a head's up on when the character is about to change, though I think I would have also liked some sort of visual cue as well (that might just be me though). SUPER solid, entry, well done!
Oct 17 19:17:05 3m 31s Stopped Watch ♥ 0 https://youtu.be/Yp7YCi13v_k?t=5781 Thanks for submitting your game to stream! Sorry we had so many audio issues, but I had a lot of fun playing this one!
Oct 17 19:19:46 2m 41s Whatever Floats Your Boat ♥ 0 https://youtu.be/Yp7YCi13v_k?t=6953 Thanks for submitting your game to stream! This was an absolutely lovely entry. The gameplay was simple, but unique, and the art style felt strangely nostalgic. 😄 Loved it!
Oct 17 19:24:14 4m 28s Sub-scured ♥ 2 https://youtu.be/Yp7YCi13v_k?t=7920 Thanks for submitting your game to stream! This game was weirdly sooooooooooo stressful (in a good way), haha. I really liked how the mines would sneak up on you, and would often still be obscured even after a radar ping reveals it. 😆 Very nice job!
Oct 17 19:26:54 2m 40s Radar Rider ♥ 1 https://youtu.be/Yp7YCi13v_k?t=9011 Thanks for submitting your game to stream! I think this is my official favorite sleeper hit. I loved the way you utilized this concept, and all of the different ways that you iterated on the formula (adding enemies, decoy player characters, moving mines, etc.) was super cool and fun to figure out. Awesome job here!
Oct 17 19:33:25 6m 31s Beardadette and the Eternal Hiccup ♥ 2 https://youtu.be/Yp7YCi13v_k?t=10598 Thanks for submitting your game to stream! Bummed we couldn't coordinate a time to have y'all in chat, but glad we were able to play it at least! I think this game takes the cake as "most adorable" one y'all have made. 😊 I think my favorite aspect though was weirdly the diegetic title screen y'all did that went right into the gameplay. Integrated tutorials like that make my designer heart swell. ❤️
Oct 17 19:38:26 5m 01s Lucky Lefty Lost In A Labyrinth ♥ 2 https://youtu.be/Yp7YCi13v_k?t=12151 Thanks for submitting your game to stream! Sorry we couldn't coordinate a time to have y'all there, but hopefully this VOD is useful. 🙂 I actually really enjoyed figuring this one out! I could almost feel a third eye opening the more I played and I could see past the grid to solve the puzzle, lol. Very nice job! It seems like based on the aspect ratio you chose, you have aspirations to port this to mobile. I think that'd be an awesome idea!
Oct 17 19:43:28 5m 02s Jam Session ♥ 1 https://youtu.be/Yp7YCi13v_k?t=14582 Thanks for submitting your game to stream! A great finale to end the weekend, I loved the creativity here! As a former band geek, I also love how you incorporated the musical notations in a way that fit their function. Excellent job with this one!
Oct 19 03:22:25 31h 38m 9 To 5 ♥ 1 tea.png Awww, what a lovely coworker. 😉 This was such a neat entry! I'm always a sucker for deckbuilding games, and I enjoyed the Office Battle Royale setting that you guys leaned into here. 😆 The back half of the game was a bit of a breeze once I discovered the master strat of stacking attack buffs and one-shotting everything, but the process of figuring out I could even do that was fun to discover! Awesome job with this, y'all. 👍
Oct 19 21:17:41 17h 55m Holospecter ♥ 2 Y'all have really nailed down the technique of making a great feeling, stable 2D platformer character controller, and I am extremely jealous of that. 😆 The art, music, sound design, controls, level design, and mechanics design are all top notch, really no notes there. 👌 I actually wasn't a big fan at first of the fact that I had to wait for a full recharge of my invisibility before I was able to use it again, but now I can really appreciate the reason you implemented it this way (ie: to encourage risk-taking for speedrunners), so now I think it's a super clever decision! Although, since it's clear that this game was designed to be speedrun, I do have a coooouuuple of tiny niggles that I wanted to mention: - The "Game Over" sequence/animation kind of takes a little too long when you fail, making me feel a little frustrated/annoyed when it happens. The pace of this game reminds me a *lot* of Celeste, which I think is why it feels noticeable when there isn't a fast "immediately restart level" flow when I get caught (at least not in the base game). EDIT: I actually just opened it up again, and noticed you have a "quick restart" button. That's super nice 👍 Although I do still think the default behavior should prolly happen faster. - The "Back" button on your credits screen doesn't do anything (at least on WebGL) 😛 - This last jump is mean. 🙁 I dun like it...Especially since it's one of the last platforming challenges the player needs to do after a pretty long level. jump.png Hopefully all my tiny criticisms don't bother you too much. At the end of the day, this is easily one of the best , most solidly put together LD entries out there, imo. ❤️ So none of these complaints actually bother me all that much. Y'all just seem like you've got an eye for quality, so I wanted to do my part to facilitate that. 👍 👍 👍
Oct 21 18:14:08 44h 56m Dragua ♥ 1 Aaaaaaaggggghhhhhhhh, once it got to the point where the I had to go further and further to gather sparks, I reached a point where I was like "Well damn, I'm way too far to make it back now. I gotta find a teleporter spell stat. I spent SO LONG looking for a chest, and all I could find were sparks. 😅 I had like 15 sparks in my collection when I FINALLY opened up a chest with a spell in it, and I absolutely FUMBLED the inventory controls and got a game over. 😭 I would say the anguished "NOOOOOOOOO" emotion you got out of me means that you did a good job getting me invested, hahaha. Great job with this one! 👍
Oct 21 18:25:33 11m 25s Exorcist Patrol ♥ 3 This is such a neat and unique entry! I love how essentially the game boils down to being a sort of puzzle, rather than combat focused like it appears on the surface. Resetting the enemy position and health while keeping your cards the same makes it super easy to iterate and experiment to get the optimal DPS, which is a lot of fun to figure out. I do wish the cards had some sort of description to them in the selection menu, so I could more thoughtfully spec my build to accommodate my current strategy, but that's really the only complaint I have about this one. It was super fun to experiment around with and equally satisfying to pull off a combo that hits everything just right. 👌 Very creative, as always. 🙂 Nice job!
