Apr 27 12:59:20 GA GAME ME ♥ 1 I had lots of fun playing your game! Its innovative and it makes good use of the theme! I can see that there has been a lot of work put in this one At first I did not know how to start the game, but after some random key presses I figured out I needed to press space-bar. Because you explained the keys very well, I thought I did something wrong :P I went 4 deep and got stuck in one of those games (I think because I suck at platformers haha), luckily there was another cartridge in the previous level. Well done sir, I like your game ๐Ÿ˜„
Apr 27 13:16:24 17m 04s Selkรถ ♥ 4 I like your work! It is polished really well and the mood is just spot-on! I had some trouble with the jellyfish, but hey: puzzles are not supposed to be cracked right away ๐Ÿ˜„ The music was very fitting, I was amazed about how it all sounded. Later I saw that you used royalty-free samples, I respect how great it fits ๐Ÿ˜ƒ Only complaint I have: it is a bit short. But I think we can all agree that that is a compliment too ๐Ÿ˜ Question: what does "Selkรถ" stand for?
Apr 27 13:25:19 8m 55s Stellae Flere ♥ 2 Nice backstory, I like how the controls are different from other space-shooters. It takes some time to getting used to, but once you get the hang of it, it plays well I had fun ๐Ÿ˜„
Apr 27 13:46:05 20m 46s Bubbly ♥ 6 I like your game! The music is just great (it reminds me of those scare houses in theme parks) and the graphics are very neat and tidy! I like how standing still to think is punished, it makes the a challenge ๐Ÿ˜„ I did not go that deep, I kept dying. I suck at platforms, so it's not your fault luckily ๐Ÿ˜„ But, I managed to get on your scoreboard! (I love scoreboards or other kinds of interactions, because it motivates people to push through a liiiitle bit more). The overall theme is very much there, but a platformer going down and down was literally the first thing that came to my mind when the theme was revealed. So, for innovation I won't score you high.
Apr 27 14:01:56 15m 51s The Fall of Alice ♥ 3 Hey! I like your game! I wish there was a loose-condition. Maybe if you miss too many letters, that she will fall faster and faster until the game ends or something. I enjoyed it nevertheless. The graphics are nice and easy on the eyes
Apr 27 14:31:28 29m 32s Ziggurat ♥ 1 I loved your game! Everything about it is polished so hard that it shines! It's in the little details: like: how the sound is in stereo for instance.
Apr 27 14:41:16 9m 48s Drill Deeper ♥ 1 Not bad for a first entry! ๐Ÿ˜„ I had fun playing it. It took some getting used to, but I can see potential in this one
Apr 27 14:43:24 2m 08s Get to the ground! ♥ 1 oh.. I get an error saying that you did not upload anything to itch ๐Ÿ˜ฎ Is that intentional?
Apr 27 14:57:20 13m 56s I'm So Deep ♥ 1 hahahah I had a great laugh playing your game! But I have one question: how does this piece of treasure work?? Please don't say that a random number generator decides my faith ๐Ÿ˜œ The music and graphics are nice too, it suits the game very well. Also, how the main character "rolls" up the screen as a baboon is just priceless haha Well done sir!
Apr 27 15:02:06 4m 46s Deep Voice ♥ 1 Look mom! No hands! haha, I loved it! This is the most original take on the theme I saw so far! The graphics were nice in their own way, I like the monochrome theme. How did you decide going that route?
Apr 27 17:46:29 2h 44m Roots Puzzle ♥ 2 I love your game! The music is so relaxing and there is actually a challenge that is easy to learn, hard to master. My compliments to you sir! Only complaint I have, is that I have to use WDSA instead of scrolling with my mousepad on the laptop ๐Ÿ˜„ The game is put well together and it earned a spot on my bookmarksbar to play level 4 and 5 too
Apr 27 19:25:31 1h 39m Paperload - Deep Bass Edition ♥ 3 I had fun playing your game, the sprites are amazing! I think I found a little bug btw: if you upgrade the fueltank, it will be full again. I don't complain ofcourse, that is a killer-deal! A full tank for 10 dollars ๐Ÿ˜‡
Apr 27 19:33:06 7m 35s Super Scran ♥ 1 Ahhh I had to think a bit about the theme, but I get it! That is funny ๐Ÿ˜‡
Apr 27 19:42:08 9m 02s MinesDeeper ♥ 1 That is an interesting take on the idea! I haven't played it enough to find out the best optimum strategy, but this is a simple case of: simple to learn, hard to master! The visuals are cute btw, good job!
Apr 28 18:32:28 22h 50m Crown of the Mountain King ♥ 1 This is actually a fun game! Not that hard to understand, which is nice because I just got back from sports and then my head doesn't process difficult games anymore ๐Ÿ˜… I like how this is compatible with the ZX spectrum, I haven't seen that in a LD entry before Well done sir! Question: did the ZX spectrum support sounds/beeps? That is the only thing I'm missing from this game; some audio feedback ๐Ÿ˜‡
Apr 28 18:39:58 7m 30s Down to Goblin Town ♥ 2 Hih, I smiled when playing this. It is so cute and the clouds actually make it challenging at the end as I could not see the stones anymore. I love how you did this with your kids, they must be proud of them selves ๐Ÿ˜„
Apr 28 18:49:31 9m 33s An Ore'ible Game ♥ 2 Cool! I like how level two motivates the player to use the truck ^^ The controls felt a bit clunky, but I don't know how to do it better. I had fun playing your game ๐Ÿ˜„ Well done
Apr 28 18:58:29 8m 58s Cursed castle ♥ 1 The graphics on this game are amazing! How did you do that? Is it 3d in a top-down perspective? Of is it pixelart done very well? A view feedback points: - The character moved a bit stuttery at some points - In narrow sections (from left to right) there is no visibility, maybe the character and enemies could show a silhouette through the walls at those narrow sections? - The combat felt a bit stiff, but was fun to play nevertheless :-) *Edit: ahww you opted out of graphics :-(*
Apr 28 19:22:59 24m 30s Red Stranding ♥ 3 I love your game! Somehow I have a weakspot for those kind of games that implement some kind of backend that makes sure that players have some kind of interaction. It makes the game feel alive ๐Ÿ˜„ The music is relaxing and the graphics remind me of the olden days
Apr 28 19:30:22 7m 23s Extreme Pizza Delivery ♥ 1 I like your game, the pizza delivery idea is original and funny, some feedback points - add some sound effects, there are nice tools out there where you can make some basic sound effects and it helps so much to make your game even better! - make sure that the graphics fit together. I think that the stones and the background do not really match together, for me it feels like each of those belong in another game. They don't really not together - I like the transition between levels, it gives a sense of depth. Which is great because of the theme ๐Ÿ˜„ I had fun, well done sir!
Apr 28 21:13:42 1h 43m A Cat in the Aliens' Lair ♥ 1 Love your game, it its relaxing for the mind and the music fits perfectly. The graphics are outstanding, I like that style a lot. Well done sir! Also, I'm a impatient guy. I don't like reading, so lots of text I just skip. Good thing it comes back everytime the cat dies, because I did not read that I could use a decoy ๐Ÿ˜…
Apr 29 15:40:43 18h 27m Iceskimo ♥ 1 I like your game a lot. I'm a bit tired today and these kind of games are just what I need ๐Ÿ˜„ A simple case of: simple to learn, hard to master ๐Ÿ˜‡ The graphics are cute and the sound effects are fitting really well with this one My highscore is 142
Apr 29 15:50:01 9m 18s Inner Joe ♥ 1 I like your game, it took me a while to figure out when I could actually move. But when I did, I had fun playing your game. Some feedbackpoints for you: - the music is just great, it really adds to the message you want to bring across - the graphics are nice, but could use some simple tweaks. I would, for instance, change the background in a way that it fits with the rest of the style. There is some kind of unspoken rule that all the pixels in a game need to be the same size (which is not always true, but I would highly consider it for this game) - it is not always clear where the next platforms will appear, making the jump a wild guess. Which makes the game feel a bit random and unfair at points. But maybe that is a good thing in this case, as your message fits well with that - It is simple to play, and I like that a lot ๐Ÿ˜„ Well done sir!
Apr 29 15:58:17 8m 16s Run, Glim, Run! ♥ 3 6 stars for the soundtrack! Is is downright the best music I have heard in an LD game this year. The game itself is very fun to play. It is easy to learn, hard to master! The story makes sense (cat-like creature hating water haha) The graphics are nice too, but not special in my opinion, sorry I found a bug btw, I don't know how to reproduce. The second time I played, I spawned in an empty world where Grim was rolling on noting and the water would catch up. There were no platforms ๐Ÿ˜… I had fun playing your game, well done!
Apr 30 16:21:47 24h 23m 10,001 - A space exploration game ♥ 1 Oehh the stereo sounds are very nice! The shooting/combat feels pretty solid, I like that. The graphics are nice too. I somehow really like the paralaxing stars. Btw.. On my screen the text is barely readable. Maybe you could consider that in your next entry ๐Ÿ˜„
Apr 30 16:28:23 6m 36s Sub-Uber-Marine ♥ 1 Such a fun game! It brought a smile to my face playing it. Simple to learn, hard to master. Just how I like it. The graphics I find impressive, knowing the limitations on PICO-8. I looked into it just before starting the jam and decided to leave it for another time :) The music is catchy and the sound effects are bubbly and fun to listen to :) Well done!
Apr 30 16:36:16 7m 53s Deep Dive ♥ 1 Cute game, but I did not get attacked by any enemies and while going up I didn't know if the game froze, of that I would eventually hit the surface. Feedback to the player is key ;-) The graphics and music are nice btw ๐Ÿ˜„
Apr 30 18:42:26 2h 06m Guy Fall ♥ 1 I like your game! It is simple and sweet, and somehow I keep thinking how the little man ended up in that situation ๐Ÿ˜… The feedback I have for you: - I like the simplicity, a man, some spikes and a depth meter :-) - Maybe there could have been a little more difficulty as you reach deeper depths. In your case it could be as simple as gradually moving the little man a bit more to the bottom, so the player has less time to react ๐Ÿ˜„ - The music is cute and I think it is a nice touch, especially for your first LD game ๐Ÿ˜ƒ
Apr 30 18:50:15 7m 49s Werm - an existential adventure ♥ 0 Hahhaa this is a different kind of deepness than I expected, well done! You made me laugh ๐Ÿ˜† Some feedback points - I love how you dedicated a button for the internal screaming - There could have been a losing condition I think. The official worm game is lost by running into yourself. Maybe you could have added that to add some challenge. - There is a lack of background music, I think music adds a lot to a game. The music does not have to be complicated or composed by yourself. Just 'something' will do wonders ๐Ÿ˜„ Well done sir, I like your game! And I have some deep questions/realizations to think about while laying in bed tonight ๐Ÿ˜†
Apr 30 18:58:05 7m 50s Memeco 0.02 ♥ 1 I did not really get it, the train-thingy at the left made a scary sound and the guy vanisched. When pressig enter he reappeared again. The graphics are cool and looking at the screenshot from @2bitcrook I think it only gets better! The sound is... well... special? I like it though, it really throws me back at those old, simple times of computer gaming.
Apr 30 19:07:30 9m 25s Deeper Tales ♥ 1 I like how you made the characters, and how the dig animation is done ๐Ÿ˜„ The music is catchy and simple enough for in the background ๐Ÿ˜„ I did not really figure out what the clock objects do, but they are fun to collect. I had to fail lots of times before I figured out that walljumping is a thing in your game ๐Ÿ˜… Only feedback I have is that the controls could have been diffrent. Maybe give the player some alternatives. My first instinct would be "up" for jump, and "down" for digging. And "Enter" for starting the game ๐Ÿ˜‰
Apr 30 19:16:17 8m 47s Down for the kiwi ♥ 2 The character goes a bit fast, but with the music it makes it a fun and humorous experience ๐Ÿ˜„ I won btw! Yay!
Apr 30 19:22:01 5m 44s Don't Drown ♥ 2 Love your game! This one earned a spot on my bookmarksbar. It's simple to learn, hard to master! I love how you made a scoreboard, and how to incorporate that further into your game by setting a goal at the left-hand-side of the screen. The graphics are just amazingly put together, and in combination with the music it makes the game very cute
May 1 15:08:30 19h 46m depthscraper ♥ 1 Love your game! It earned a spot on my bookmarksbar ^^ *Edit: reminds me a bit of 2048* ๐Ÿ˜„
