Apr 27 22:45:16 Blackout ♥ 7 Great work on main character animation! Very lively. I got stuck on the skull in the beginning (I'd say making players pixel-hunt the same item twice is not fun), but then I was pleasantly surprised by the amount of rooms - usually jam adventures have much fewer screens. Also nice work on the after-party bits, I was totally expecting the game to end in the basement.
Apr 27 22:59:10 13m 54s Going Down in Fishstory ♥ 3 Oh wow, art direction in this one is something else. So vibrant and colorful, I love it! And I guess I don't need to say anything about the voice-overs and sounds, this is always a no-brainer 5-star audio rating. Oh, and also fun to play! Great work.
Apr 28 20:55:07 21h 55m Knee deep in jelly ♥ 1 Played it for a bit without jumping (look I'm not proud of myself for reading and then immediately forgetting the instructions okay?), and it becomes a very different game that way, kind of puzzly. But fun with jumping as well. :) Also, looks and feels very nice and atmospheric.
Apr 28 21:13:12 18m 05s Dream of the Glowing Umbrella ♥ 1 Really loved the ambience! Together with graphics (which gave off kind of nostalgic vibes of old ZX games to me) it really sells the dream setting. Jumping mechanics are cool, it was interesting to explore and learn what I could do with the umbrella. As others have said, I was a bit bothered by the game speed (it matched what's on your video for me, so I guess it's intentional), to me it felt detrimental to the dreaminess. Sound effects didn't do much for it as well, but maybe that's just me not liking sfxr. All in all, a good entry!
Apr 28 21:27:08 13m 56s Excavatorade - A game about digging ♥ 1 Ooh, I loved that little extra-jump that you get after you breaking a rock; feels like a game mechanic that you unintentionally stumble upon but then could make a whole game out of it. I guess there are 2 places now where it comes into place? Anyway, I'd definitely expand on that. Other than that, as others have said - yep, falling stalactites are super-hard and character animation is great.
Apr 28 21:45:55 18m 47s The plot chickens ♥ 3 Got stuck on needing to get the sweets for the romance quest after the kid not taking the money; I've talked to everybody (I think) but didn't get anything new. Anyway! Super-cute looking. Good though that you've added character portraits, because for a bit I was sure that I'm playing for a red-bearded guy. :)
Apr 28 22:01:32 15m 37s Space Dig ♥ 1 Nice game, was surprised when tutorial ended and the full game unlocked - I fully expected that little area to be the full game! And then I was surprised one more time when I found myself on the run from the pirates. Kind of a bummer that all my honest salary went to buying fuel and repairs and I couldn't afford a lser. Well, I guess that's space capitalism for me. Oh, and also nice little touch on the astronaut animation in the beginning, really liked it.
Apr 28 22:11:55 10m 23s Deepxplosion ♥ 0 I think the link is for a different game prototype?..
Apr 29 20:59:55 22h 48m Enemy Territory ♥ 1 Great use of theme! Would be nice to have some failure options on the way to Berlin, otherwise the game loses its tension once you realise that all your plans are always successful.
Apr 29 21:11:11 11m 16s Wellfell ♥ 1 oh wow that was super hardcore! finally reaching the floor and hearing about the camera was brutal but really funny. great work on music and sound effects!
Apr 29 21:40:41 29m 30s Fathomless ♥ 2 Nice game, fun and good looking! Would probably be cool to have some fish that you have to avoid instead of catch.
Apr 29 21:55:58 15m 17s Fleeting ♥ 2 Awesome game, one of the favourites so far! Very atmospheric, top-notch music, art and (though minimalistic) story. I guess controlling the ship is a bit clunky, but still fun.
Apr 29 22:11:18 15m 20s DeepDream ♥ 1 okay I didn't expect to enjoy it that much but then unexpectedly loved it? like the surrealism of hitting the first obstacle with the bike and then just sitting there and watching the road pass by for 15 seconds doing nothing hit me hard for some reason. I guess maybe I'm just still too sleep-deprived from the jam. anyway, great game, but intro could be shorter.
Apr 30 20:51:29 22h 40m Out of the Woods ♥ 0 Very atmospheric, but always restarting from the beginning is too hardcore for me.
Apr 30 21:09:48 18m 19s Depths ♥ 1 Looks and sounds great, nice job for just 1 day! Would love to be actually explore all these caverns.
Apr 30 21:24:45 14m 57s Depths of Darvaza ♥ 2 Amazing voice-over work! Had lots of fun with the jetpack, but do agree that moving felt too slippery at times. Was unpleasantly surprised that you had to pay again to get down if you returned to the higher level; but I guess that's just capitalism.
Apr 30 21:41:37 16m 52s What do cats dream of ? ♥ 1 My score is 45K. Look I *don't* have a cat right now and had to double check it the sound wasn't coming from my flat. Amazing work on animation, looks super polished and expensive. Dragging the bowl with a mouse felt kind of clunky, but this would probably play great on a tablet. One of my favourites so far!
Apr 30 21:52:03 10m 26s deepr ♥ 1 Oh my God this is genius. Would love to select a background for each quote as well and an option to show me a random quote, but otherwise perfect.
Apr 30 22:14:50 22m 47s Little Mother ♥ 1 I did NOT expect this from the thumbnail. This is absolutely gorgeous, beautifully written and that music progression will haunt me for days. I would be greatly surprised if I find anything better in this jam.
Apr 30 22:39:56 25m 06s AeroCat ♥ 3 11681. Takes a bit to get used to the controls, but when it clicks, you do start like a cat flying through the dream skies. Probably the most interesting game gameplay-wise I've seen so far in this jam. Oh and yes the art totally matches the dreamy theme, beautifully done.
May 1 19:00:20 20h 20m Falling Dwarf ♥ 2 It's incredibly satisfying to plummet several hundreds meters down to skip the easier platforms. Didn't expect that returning back will not be just a quick teleport to the surface, using the rocket was super fun as well. I'd probably add more coins suspended in the air so that you'd get more to do when you are going up. Everything else apart from gameplay is also pretty solid, great entry overall!
May 1 19:13:24 13m 04s Swing Shroom ♥ 1 Loved level design. Not sure how non-linear it actually is, but it feels really open-worldy. One thing I'd add is the ability to climb the rope up & down with W/S when you're hanging on it.
May 1 19:38:48 25m 24s DEEPER LEARNING ♥ 0 Well this is too hardcore. I guess you are supposed to listen to the sound cues to understand which teacher liked which book, but even with that I never managed to get anything other than F. :(
May 1 19:50:23 11m 35s Deep Drill ♥ 0 Very interesting drilling mechanic! Really liked it, although sometimes you get stuck in the walls. Also surprised by the amount of content, I think I've played for a while but was still getting new levels.
May 1 20:02:28 12m 05s The Tree ♥ 1 Very interesting concept, but felt too easy. It doesn't seem to matter much which way to grow, and you always have plenty of resources to do so. Also I never had the tree bend to the wind like on your gif for some reason? Anyway, solid entry. Root growing tech is cool.
May 1 20:17:29 15m 01s Fuel Run ♥ 1 Super cool aesthetic! I loved how you used your assets very economically to create a larger space. Awesome ambience and particles as well. Attacking with your jump is interesting, but I couldn't figure out which part of the particle fire is actually hurting the enemies.
May 1 21:36:09 1h 18m Aquanaut ♥ 2 Super fun and tense, great work on the bosses - they really felt like real creatures.
May 1 21:41:21 5m 12s The Last Spores ♥ 2 Nice graphics & tech, but could use some balancing of potential nodes generation. It seems that you almost never have any real choice on where to go next - you just select the node farthest from you and hope that some energy comes your way.
May 1 22:01:03 19m 42s Rope Adventurer ♥ 1 Very stylish! Felt too easy - maybe add a harder mode with shorter timer and more fail conditions, so that the player would always have to be on their feet? Anyway, very solid entry!
May 1 22:13:59 12m 56s Root Deeper ♥ 1 Interesting idea, kind of a tree management game. Took me some time to notice the daily get/use indicators; I'd probably made the UI bigger since other parts of the screen are not interactive anyway.
May 1 22:27:20 13m 21s Total Eclipse Of The Heart - vol.02 ♥ 1 Did not figure out the goal on my own, had to read the comments. Great idea! Loved how surrealistic it looks when you look from the door frames 2 levels higher.
May 1 22:29:43 2m 23s CHROMAHOLIC ♥ 1 Couldn't play unfortunately, I think it's built on an older version of Unity that has incompatibilities with some network software. Looks cool though, please let me know if you rebuild it on newer Unity by any chance.
May 1 22:57:43 28m 00s Drop.N3T ♥ 2 HELL YES. Have you guys heard of the game Ballistics? I've been chasing that high of avoiding rotating blades in tubes for *years*, and I finally get it in jam game?! Oh my, I'll be playing this for days. This is almost perfect. ~~Two nitpicks: I am yet to understand when hitting the walls/tube ends the game and when it's harmless, and also how exactly the dash works. I thought I figured it out but sometimes it still pushes me at the wall instead of where I am actually going.~~ Anyway, all fives, etc, etc, please make more. Edit: completed at 3:11, both nitpicks cancelled.
May 1 23:26:25 28m 42s Me:Tree! - New Roots ♥ 1 Was having issues like folks above but then tried to play it in Chrome and was finally able to do something, so it looks like it just doesn't work in Firefox. Super-promising idea, and it looks really great, but the balance seems off. I've tried survival mode a couple dozen times, before & after reading the instructions on this page, but I never manage to grow the tree for more than a couple of minutes. It seems to me that there's too few nutrients in the ground, but also the rain comes too soon - even though I've manage to survive a couple of times till the sun reappears, but died soon afterwards.
May 2 20:03:44 20h 37m The Fall ♥ 1 Very unique take on the theme! Loved the progression between levels, could use a bit more variety in enemies though. Breaking your sword as a punishment for being hit is a cool mechanic!
May 3 05:21:06 9h 17m Project Asylum ♥ 0 Creepy as hell. Great work on character design (that''s what made me open this game in the first place), but camera is a bit wonky (and I think inverted by default?).
May 3 07:42:10 2h 21m Pinned ♥ 1 Cool idea, but yeah, kind of confusing. I think giving the player some kind of feedback (like detective's internal monologue) on successful/unsuccessful connections could greatly help.
May 3 08:05:48 23m 38s The Squeaky Affair ♥ 2 Hm, interesting... This is super cool, nothing to criticize really. I wonder if you could potentially pull off a real(ish) detective story with these mechanics if you put more details in each clue/pin, and then get several twists each time you go deeper.
May 3 08:16:28 10m 40s An Unexpected Mishap in Naval Mine Cove ♥ 1 Nice little game, very stylish & fun. I'd probably add another control to make the sub go faster.
May 3 08:34:40 18m 12s Micro Doc ♥ 2 As others have said, sound feedback would be invaluable here. One place I missed it the most is the lack of knowing when your shotgun reloaded. Otherwise, nice looking and fun game. Loved different weapons, although haven't really found a scenario when 2nd one is more useful than the other two.
May 3 19:08:08 10h 33m River, Carry Me Away ♥ 3 This is cool. Reminded me of that part in the mines in Kentucky Route Zero with miners' ghosts.
May 3 19:16:12 8m 04s Deeplift ♥ 1 Cool aesthetic. I'd say the game challenges your patience more than memory, but still it felt novel and was fun to beat.
May 3 19:33:57 17m 45s Pirifurm DCleaner ♥ 1 Such a great concept! So many ideas on how to expand on it immediately come to mind: what if files size actually their size on screen (so that you had to be really careful not to delete that 10GB Minecraft folder)? Or if cache files had actual names and you had to double-check whether you're deleting homework.docs or ~homework.docx? Anyway, it was fun as is, even though the movement was a bit too floaty for my taste. Also, nice music!
May 3 19:49:33 15m 36s INTO THE FRAME ♥ 1 Fun game with great visuals. Glitched on me when 2nd level circle stopped bouncing the bullets on level 7. Agree with other folks above that the last level is actually easier to beat without using the 3rd level, but I guess that is something that could easily be fixed with some balancing.
May 3 20:01:36 12m 03s Diving Heroes ♥ 1 Nice looking game with a great aiming mechanic - I didn't think it'd be so compelling and challenging before I actually tried to hit some fish! Couple of nitpicks: it doesn't look like the second diver has any purpose if you're playing solo, which is confusing. Also I'd recommend making UI on the upgrade screen much bigger - it nigh impossible to tell which resources are needed for the upgrade, so I didn't tell what to hunt for in the ocean.
May 3 20:09:18 7m 42s Deep Miners ♥ 0 It shows that all time was spent on the visuals, this does look great! It would probably make a cool looking sequencer if you allowed to set different sounds/tones to each of the cubes.
