Aug 3 00:21:58 Star Hopper: Crank ♥ 4 I really love the concept. Great fit with the theme but I think it's a game that's extremely hard for people to get into. I know for me personally, the UI was a bit confusing. In particular, the button to get out of the Navigation menu was hidden below the bottom of my screen. I also think it's a bit hard to understand what you're actually doing but once you figure it out it's a really cool idea. I think with polish and a better on-ramp for new users (such as starting with only navigation and engines and then gaining new parts) I think it could make a really neat game. For such a short amount of time, great work!
Aug 3 01:09:26 47m 28s Forgetting Things ♥ 1 Really nice concept and I thought the controls were mostly great! Moving the white blocks with w was sort of funky and I found it too frustrating trying to land on the black cubes. But overall, great work!
Aug 3 01:13:57 4m 31s Running out of steam ♥ 1 That was a really fun, short experience and nice use of the theme!
Aug 3 22:54:45 21h 40m Moon is the limit ♥ 0 It's way easier to move side to side rather than upwards (the direction your rocket faces) which seems kind of odd. And for some reason it seems like when you move to certain areas all of the parachutes disappear. But aside from those issues it was really cool!
Aug 8 19:59:10 117h 04m LDJAM39: Power Brawler League ♥ 4 I imagine it's a lot more fun playing against an actual opponent because it was way too easy against the AI. Very well put together, though!
Aug 8 20:15:34 16m 24s Thermal Power Plant K-13 ♥ 0 Very interesting. Loved the art style and sound! It was a little difficult to figure out what to do at the start.
Aug 8 20:22:26 6m 52s Supernode ♥ 0 I love how simple it is and yet super entertaining. Fits perfectly with the theme, the sound is great, and it's super clean. Great work!
Aug 8 20:32:34 10m 08s Neuropower ♥ 1 I love the simplicity. It's a bit confusing at first but very entertaining to play around with and figure out. I wish there was some kind of goal to it but it's fun nonetheless.
Aug 8 20:34:42 2m 08s Scale of Life ♥ 2 I was very confused but it's a cute game.
Aug 8 20:36:46 2m 04s The Last Ship ♥ 1 I was unable to play due to WebGL running out of allocated memory. It looks nice tho!
Aug 8 20:38:53 2m 07s Qwt ♥ 2 Fun game! The graphics are very pleasing and I liked your use of the mechanic.
Aug 8 20:41:14 2m 21s VoltRush ♥ 1 Nice work! I wouldn't say it's very innovative because it feels like a pretty standard platformer with a timer added in to fit the theme. But I think it looks fantastic and plays really well! Impressed it was done in such a short amount of time.
Aug 8 20:46:12 4m 58s House of the Rising Sun ♥ 1 Nice game! It's kind of hard to get into it and I struggled figuring out what to do but I love the XCom-style base building aspect.
Aug 8 20:49:09 2m 57s PowerGem Arena ♥ 1 Really nice work! Very polished and I love the sound effects. It's pretty challenging too but it works perfectly with the short play sessions.
Aug 8 20:51:01 1m 52s Extraction ♥ 1 Very simple but great use of the theme and it was surprisingly challenging!
Aug 8 20:54:16 3m 15s Unlit ♥ 1 Personally, this doesn't seem to me to be a great entry for this theme. It seems moreso to be a platformer involving light used as checkpoints. And the platforming aspects weren't very innovative but overall I enjoyed the game.
Aug 8 21:02:34 8m 18s The Last Light ♥ 1 The lighting is really neat and the concept is great. The biggest flaw I noticed is that there's nothing stopping you from spamming shots but you can't just automatically shoot (or hold a button to do so) which is sort of annoying. Othewise, I thought it was pretty cool although I would've hoped for some other way to ramp up the difficulty aside from more enemies.
Aug 8 21:06:30 3m 56s The Hall of the Sorcerer King ♥ 2 I really love how you used the theme to add some depth to the choose your own adventure genre. Really fantastic work here. My only complaint is that the WebGL window size isn't formatter properly so the scrollbar appears and I can't see the whole game on one screen.
Aug 8 21:09:15 2m 45s Last Job ♥ 1 I like the art but controlling the character feels sort of floaty. I liked that you could escape the dude that comes to game over you by feeding the fires. Nice short game.
Aug 8 21:14:05 4m 50s Back Home ♥ 0 Very nice graphics and I love how relaxing and cute the game is. The controls are almost great but turning seems to be a bit difficult and often I found myself dying because I couldn't get the character to do what I wanted it to.
Aug 8 21:20:26 6m 21s Quoala ♥ 1 I love the graphics and audio! The writing seemed a tad rushed and weak for certain parts of the game but I enjoyed it overall.
Aug 9 00:22:35 3h 02m BATTERYMAN RECHARGES THE WORLD! ♥ 4 Really nice work! Feels like a pretty complete game. The graphics are nice and the sounds are great but sometimes a bit repetitive. I didn't like having to redo the same areas several times, but a completely understandable decision considering the short development time.
Aug 9 00:29:03 6m 28s Voodoo Lockdown ♥ 1 Very innovative mechanic. I thought it was very clever and challenging. I'm not really seeing how it fits the theme but I think it's a dope game.
Aug 9 00:39:55 10m 52s Fade ♥ 0 The mood was perfect and I was very interested in the story. I feel like the timed reload you added made the combat significantly more engaging than if you were just pointing and waiting. Overall, great work. My only complaint is that it felt a bit slow, although that's probably because I kept dying.
Aug 9 03:12:37 2h 32m Coffy ♥ 1 I like how simple it was while remaining challenging. Nice take on the match 3 style. Not sure how it related to the theme exactly. The graphics are perfect and the sound is great!
Aug 9 15:44:47 12h 32m Battery Penetrates ♥ 0 Once I got the hang of it it was a pretty cool game. I liked how difficult it is but I'm pretty disappointed the leaderboards weren't working otherwise I would've kept playing to try to get on there.
Aug 9 15:49:48 5m 01s The Trash Bin That Could ♥ 1 It seems like a really nice game but very hard to play on a trackpad. The movement felt too slow for me compared to how quickly you're able to rotate. Great concept!
Aug 9 15:58:04 8m 16s Batt(l)ery ♥ 1 Sharing battery power was a really cool concept. I was playing as both players but it seemed like it could actually be fun to play with someone. My biggest gripe is that I had no idea when anyone was taking damage because the health display was cut off. Eventually I noticed that they have battery indicators but I think there should be a more obvious indicator when players are taking damage. The movement also felt a little stiff but I love the idea!
Aug 10 13:59:48 22h 01m Tag in the Dark ♥ 0 Not very fun if you aren't playing with someone else, obviously. And it seems kind of odd that one player can be off screen and unaware of where exactly they are.
Aug 10 14:17:04 17m 16s THIRST ♥ 0 Nice work! I really enjoyed placing the dungeon tiles but combat was pretty meaningless to me and I never had trouble with my supply of water.
Aug 10 14:20:56 3m 52s In Battery We Trust ♥ 1 The art and sounds are great. I love the constant threat of running out of battery but I wish there was something to work towards such as escaping or something. Otherwise, really great work!
Aug 10 14:26:11 5m 15s Mr. Blue ♥ 0 I really love the mood and art style of the game. High fiving, fist bumping, and hand shaking are all really satisfying. My biggest complaint is that I'd sometimes be high fiving right next to somebody and they wouldn't respond. Great work!
Aug 10 14:32:13 6m 02s Hamster Habits ♥ 1 Great work! I thought it was really funny, particularly the hamster banging. One problem that made the game unbearable was that using the arrow keys also causes the page to move up and down. I also wasn't a fan of the fact that you can only move up/down or left/right with no diagonals. Otherwise, the graphics and sounds are great and it's fun!
Aug 10 14:40:51 8m 38s ODISSEUS ♥ 2 For a game that was so heavily reliant on dialogue to tell the story there were way too many spelling/grammar mistakes. I did really appreciate that knowing Odysseus' story and some history helped you throughout the game. The enemies in the space shooter portion were interesting but I felt like the game suffered from being made from so many separate components rather than focusing on one singular aspect.
Aug 10 14:43:35 2m 44s CREEP ♥ 1 Honestly I was pretty confused for awhile and I'm still not quite sure I understand everything that's happening, particularly how I die. I love the simple graphics tho and the concept is neat!
Aug 10 14:46:36 3m 01s AstroMouse ♥ 2 Very nice! I love the graphics and the core concept of the game. It's a bit hard at first figuring out shooting and movement but once you understand it, it's completely doable. I like the mood a lot in particular.
Aug 10 14:51:19 4m 43s Last Train Out ♥ 4 Great work! Art and sounds are fantastic. It's pretty difficult to keep track of all of the various things and I'm not even sure what most of them do. I kept running out of power and dying within like 30 seconds even though I had both people constantly turning the wheel and recharging their stamina.
Aug 10 14:53:50 2m 31s Spacy adventure ♥ 1 Really fantastic work! The particle effects are top notch, the sound is perfect, and I love the graphics. It's a great example of a polished space shooter game and fits the theme well.
Aug 10 14:55:43 1m 53s Sparkman Adventures ♥ 2 I'm not a fan of the controls. I often struggled to control exactly where I land and would find myself jumping too far and dying which led to a lot of frustration.
Aug 11 17:40:01 26h 44m Constellation Exploration ♥ 2 Interesting concept. I really like how you get smaller when you're close to running out of power. I felt that the audio was pretty repetitive and obtrusive, especially when the music ended. The graphics were minimal and cohesive, but the UI is pretty ugly.
Aug 11 19:39:29 1h 59m Long Live The Pig ♥ 2 The concept is really neat and I had a lot of fun playing! The audio sometimes stops which is jarring but the graphics are great. I found it to be a bit too complex for how easy it is but overall great work!
Aug 11 19:45:37 6m 08s Dance On The Wire ♥ 1 Love the music and the concept seems cool. I'm not a fan of how little input is required from the player. After awhile I just stopped pressing buttons and let myself just travel through each level and at that point it didn't really feel like a game anymore. I'm also confused how power works and what even happens when you run into one of the large brown dots. Love the simple art style!
