| Aug 1 14:28:23 | Repair-5054 | ♥ 3 | Great interpretation of the theme and overall execution. The story fit really nicely as well! | |
| Aug 2 10:47:01 | 20h 18m | Lifeforce Deathrun | ♥ 0 | Quite addictive - nice one! |
| Aug 2 10:54:56 | 7m 55s | Last Bot Standing: Game of the Year Edition | ♥ 1 | Very enjoyable PacMan-like - the non-grid movement and physical reactions with the environment were both nice touches, and the visuals/audio fit well. Excellent entry! |
| Aug 2 11:18:12 | 23m 16s | Escapade ! | ♥ 1 | Really enjoyed this - had a Rogue Legacy vibe to the level layout that I liked, and the jetpack added a lot on top of that. I do wish the timer was more of an optional bonus kind of thing - while it was fun to move quickly through the levels, sometimes I just wanted to explore them a bit. Maybe something like a special item at the store that is unavailable if time runs out before you get there? Either way, great job! |
| Aug 2 11:34:38 | 16m 26s | The positive user | ♥ 1 | Oddly addictive (like real world social media, I suppose) - even managed to get on to the leaderboards with 300 \:D/ I wish the buttons were a bit bigger, but that could be the resolution of the screen I was playing on. Also would have nice to see actual (fake) messages instead of placeholder text, but there's only so much time in a jam, right? Nice work :) |
| Aug 2 11:41:14 | 6m 36s | Heal The Dark Lord! | ♥ 2 | Worth checking out for the Dark Lord art alone (though the art overall was excellent). Interesting mechanic, and the rhyming cultists was a nice touch :) |
| Aug 2 11:51:46 | 10m 32s | ld39 | ♥ 0 | Very cool entry - excellent visual style! I didn't have a gamepad handy, so I won't knock the controls too much. Also LOVED the attack pattern mechanic, but sometimes it felt a little unfair (as in, definitely not standing on a circle but killed anyway). |
| Aug 2 12:01:13 | 9m 27s | AstroMouse | ♥ 1 | Awesome entry! @eric-florio said pretty much everything I was thinking in terms of criticism - other than that, loved it! |
| Aug 2 12:09:09 | 7m 56s | Generator #4875 | ♥ 1 | Love the concept - it felt like pretty much every day job I've had :P |
| Aug 2 12:20:33 | 11m 24s | a story about a cat | ♥ 1 | Wow... that ending... I really enjoyed the options for getting into the various yards. I didn't realize you could jump the wall by the fence to access the third yard, so I ended up crawling on the neighbours head and jump-hovering from there. Much more satisfying that way. |
| Aug 2 12:28:27 | 7m 54s | People are the power | ♥ 1 | Took me a little to figure out how it works, but had a lot of fun with this once I did. I seemed to have most luck with the Family Harvester at the start, switching to the SOL once the crowd thinned a bit. Very unique idea, and really impressive at Pico-8 resolution. |
| Aug 2 12:32:05 | 3m 38s | Tiny Explorer | ♥ 1 | Having the same issue as @shaolin-dave & @devillime. Looks nice though! |
| Aug 2 12:40:02 | 7m 57s | My Dream | ♥ 0 | Very interesting story and the sometimes disjointed pacing was very effective. Glad you joined in, even if you didn't have much time :) |
| Aug 2 13:30:11 | 50m 09s | RooP | ♥ 1 | Fun little endless runner :) It was a little unclear what each of the hazards did - I'm guessing they just reduced your remaining power? Could be interesting if they added additional ways to end your run. |
| Aug 2 13:33:50 | 3m 39s | Running the Marathon | ♥ 1 | Unfortunately, this wouldn't load for me (macOS, Safari). I will say though, I LOVE the idea, It's probably good for my productivity that it didn't load ;) |
| Aug 2 15:32:05 | 1h 58m | Scale of Life | ♥ 2 | Love the visuals, and the mechanic is simple but somewhat addictive. The theme wasn't really apparent to me, but nice entry overall :) |
| Aug 2 15:55:38 | 23m 33s | Sparkman Adventures | ♥ 1 | Congratulations on finishing! Overall, it's a pretty good start to a platformer. I felt like I should have been able to jump on top of the enemies though, since they only have spikes on their sides. A small art change would fix that though :) |
| Aug 2 16:07:33 | 11m 55s | No Sorcerer's Sky | ♥ 1 | I'm really into the concept of this game, but found the UI a little too finicky for me to get into the game itself. I think it's mostly trying to remember what resources I need to build a specific building, and then jumping into another window to see if I have them (by which point, I've already forgotten). Always displaying the resources you have would be a big help, and possibly having smaller, modal windows to display the interface for each building (as opposed to filling the screen). I hope you continue with this post jam - would love to play a version with a more polished UI :) |
| Aug 2 16:22:02 | 14m 29s | Overcharged | ♥ 1 | Great entry! Had more fun killing everyone, so it was nice to be rewarded with an ending for that :) |
| Aug 2 16:34:28 | 12m 26s | P3tr | ♥ 1 | Wow - super impressive entry! Art/music/lighting were all top notch. The only thing that prevented me from playing all the way through was the camera motion making me nauseous - if there was an option to remove the sway, I'd definitely play all the way through. You put a ton of work into this and it shows - awesome work! |
| Aug 3 14:32:30 | 21h 58m | X-Moon 2: Dark Moon | ♥ 1 | Nice entry! Angling to get a shot on the enemies was a little tricky, but I loved the idea of destroying the black holes to restore energy. |
| Aug 3 14:56:51 | 24m 21s | air mail | ♥ 0 | Not enough games reward you with a paycheck ;) Awesome job - really enjoyed it! |
| Aug 4 10:15:29 | 19h 18m | S.O.S(Spaceship Out of Supplies) | ♥ 2 | That's quite addictive! The only thing that really bothered me was ship's hit radius being a little too big. There were quite a few times I felt like I should have been able to slip past an asteroid only to have the shields fire up. Great job overall :) |
| Aug 4 10:37:19 | 21m 50s | POW | ♥ 2 | Loved this! Very interesting mechanics, well designed puzzles, great use of checkpoints, and fit the theme well - great work! |
| Aug 4 10:54:06 | 16m 47s | Devil's Curse | ♥ 0 | Great entry! Managed to survive 14 waves. There seemed to be a few areas where the enemies would rarely go, so I took advantage of those a bit. Once you're down to stomping in one spot though it gets really tricky. I hope you decide to take this idea further :) |
| Aug 4 10:59:06 | 5m 00s | Punchey! (VR ONLY) | ♥ 1 | Couldn't play this but did watch the video - looks super fun and REALLY makes me wish I had a Vive! |
| Aug 4 11:08:19 | 9m 13s | Powerless | ♥ 1 | Very interesting idea and great execution. Would love to see this expanded with a layer of diplomatic decisions that need to be made, and even a simulation of various classes (rich/poor, etc) and how they react to the decisions made. Nice work! |
| Aug 10 15:56:15 | 148h 47m | Last Job | ♥ 1 | Really started to enjoy this once I realized I could carry more than one piece of coal at at time :P Made it to 2:05 - felt like a decent run. Really nice art, and pretty addictive gameplay - great work! |
| Aug 10 16:08:50 | 12m 35s | Energy Drones | ♥ 0 | Definitely a tough one, especially in the lower platforming section (which unfortunately I couldn't get through). Great music, and interesting mechanics once I got the hang of it, though. Would have liked to either have the gun at the start or a way to get it from the first enemy more easily. An excellent first entry for sure! |
| Aug 10 16:23:30 | 14m 40s | There's No Place Like Home | ♥ 2 | Really fun! Managed to escape after a couple of attempts - the trick (for me) was finally getting the rhythm of the generator pump. I had to play it muted, unfortunately - the sound of the pump hit some pretty ear piercing pitches that made it actually painful to play. I like that the radar at least provided some visual feedback for the escalating meteorite attacks - nice touch. Excellent entry overall. |
| Aug 10 16:54:17 | 30m 47s | Breaker Breaker! | ♥ 2 | Great entry! Not sure if you noticed or not, but using the spacebar to shoot had no effect on the engine (where the left mouse caused the engine to drain), so while I felt like I was cheating, it was the only way I played ;) Made it to the last notch before the top - stopped before I threw my computer out the window. Really addictive game - nice work! |
| Aug 10 17:01:43 | 7m 26s | Fuse Cell | ♥ 1 | Great entry! The recharge/overload mechanic made this so much more than a just another shooter, and I've been a huge fan of your art for a while now. Awesome character too - hope she shows up in more things in the future :) |
| Aug 10 17:07:10 | 5m 27s | Asteroids | ♥ 1 | Wow - that made me feel claustrophobic ;) So many asteroids! Great idea having the power cells be destructible (as more often than not, I shot them) and the story was a nice touch too! |
| Aug 10 17:22:44 | 15m 34s | daemon | ♥ 0 | The art and music create a really interesting atmosphere (slightly spoiled by the jumping noise unfortunately). Movement felt pretty good, but some way to view the surroundings would be helpful - I'm thinking specifically of the blind drop into spikes before entering the lower area of the map. Also came across a bug where I was able to get out of the top of the map - ended up going off the side and falling forever. Really interesting concept though - with some balance and polish, I think this could be made into a great metroidvania style game. |
| Aug 10 17:57:18 | 34m 34s | Despotism 3k | ♥ 2 | Very unique entry. Fun, creepy humorous - perfect mix. I love that the already super pixelated humans were even further pixelated in the reproduction facility :P I couldn't manage to get past level 8 - the energy drain was pretty extreme - but fully enjoyed it to that point! |
| Aug 10 18:05:54 | 8m 36s | Lost in the Dark | ♥ 1 | Nice minimal gameplay that fits the theme perfectly! Like others mentioned, it felt a little trial and error at times. Some sort of indicator to show the next closest pickup might be nice (though maybe that would make it too easy?) |
| Aug 12 12:59:42 | 42h 53m | Assault//Battery | ♥ 1 | Awesome job! I can imagine this would be extra fun on a touch screen, but even with the mouse, everything felt natural. I love silly physics based games, so I hope you continue on with this post jam - it also seems like it could be popular with streamers with an added coat of polish :) |
