| Apr 21 16:36:00 | RL | Thanks for commenting on my entry! The links work now if you still want to check out Nuclear Autumn. Had a go on your game - trickier to survive than I expected! Great use of pathfinding as a mechanic. | |
| Apr 21 16:48:00 | 12m 00s | NOPAEW | Thanks for trying out Nuclear Autumn - I hope you will pick it up again as it's really worth completing. <br/>Anyway - NOPAEW, beautiful graphics, really inspiring. The parallax, the chunky pixels, the particles, colours everything is just perfect. Didn't have any respawn issues unlike others but I did play the downloaded version instead of the web one. Wish you had variable height jumping, feels a little bit old school. Overall, totally inspired work - well done! |
| Apr 21 17:31:00 | 43m 00s | Deadly rain | I would have liked to see a variable jump height and a few other mechanics, the random element is quite difficult! Nice graphics, mood is great! |
| Apr 22 12:31:00 | 19h 00m | Souls of the Fallen | Took me a good ten or so tries before I could beat the boss - but really enjoyed it. The controls are a little tricky at first as you can't dash before jumping but didn't take long to get used to. Been looking for good platformers to play since I made one myself, glad I stumbled onto this one. Good job! |
| Apr 22 12:42:00 | 11m 00s | Genemon | Amazing polish, had a lot of fun with this! Spammed the first few levels to win (I found being aggressive is a good strategy instead of trying to defend) but progressively got harder :P |
| Apr 22 13:18:00 | 36m 00s | ScarKrow | Graphics are amazing! Would have liked to have seen a variable height jump and the targeting is hard to get right as the cursors comes off it after dashing. Minor issues though, really polished and impressive, love it! |
| Apr 22 13:33:00 | 15m 00s | Drybreed | Not entirely sure what was the goal for the game, I found what I think is the sun and a star or something next to it, tried to cover it in the blocks but nothing! Still - very cool creation and destruction mechanic and good platform physics! A variable jump height would have been nice but minor issue! Nice mood, definitely had fun, just wish I knew what to do! |
| Apr 22 13:40:00 | 7m 00s | SUPER BRO THROW | Love it! Kinda jealous at our polished and good it looks. Think the game would have been even better if the player couldn't walk on hazards though, but maybe that would have been too hard! |
| Apr 22 13:53:00 | 13m 00s | Cave Berries | Platforming physics are a bit floaty to my taste, especially with the fixed jump height. And deaths are a bit harsh - gotta collect them all again! However, that said, loving the graphics, animation and of course... DAT SONG. COLLECT THE BERRIES IN THE CAVE COLLECT THE BERRIES IN THE CAVE COLLECT THE BERRIES IN THE CAVE COLLECT THE BERRIES IN THE CAVE COLLECT THE BERRIES IN THE CAVE COLLECT THE BERRIES IN THE CAVE COLLECT THE BERRIES IN THE CAVE COLLECT THE BERRIES IN THE CAVE |
| Apr 22 14:01:00 | 8m 00s | Frazzle Dazzle | I DAZZLED ALL THE FRAZZLED HEADS! Wasn't sure about this game until I frazzled my first head and melted my first snowman. Then the rest they say is history... |
| Apr 22 15:20:00 | 1h 19m | Underground Hangovers | Yeah so basically everything about this game is amazing! Thought the physics were quite floaty at first but then I realised it's on another planet and the ores weigh you down - never seen a burden mechanic on a platformer before! Anyway really enjoyed it so far and I'll keeping this on my computer as I want to finish the whole thing later. <br/> <br/>By the way, your entry really interested me as I also created a platformer for this LD, although perhaps so quite so polished as yours. It's called Nuclear Autumn and I hope you'll have a little try of it as well :) |
| Apr 22 15:28:00 | 8m 00s | Nallies Party | Your game is crazy haha! Also thanks for playing and commenting on Nuclear Autumn, I've now fixed some of the collision/clipping bugs (seems like you did also, goddamn game development). Hope you will pick it up again as we're really proud of the ending sequence and music it would be a shame if players didn't experience it :) <br/> <br/>Good job getting your daughter to help with the graphics - I hope she will continue this career path :) |
| Apr 22 15:32:00 | 4m 00s | Gician | Thanks for trying out Nuclear Autumn, I've fixed the clipping/collision bugs now so I hope you will pick it up again! Seems a shame not to be able to experience the ending as we're really proud of that :) <br/> <br/>I had a few goes on your game - that Knight fight! |
| Apr 22 15:42:00 | 10m 00s | Banana Boomerang | That gravity is brutal - would have benefitted from a variable height jump I think. But love the graphics and gameplay, really really fun twist on the boomerang mechanic. Highscores were a good addition also - suddenly makes the whole thing more addictive! |
| Apr 22 15:51:00 | 9m 00s | Quiver of Claws | I completed it! When I hit that gong I knew I was going to be hooked. The time slowing mechanic is a really good idea, makes the player feel especially badass. The difficulty was fairly high, but as soon as I started to be more cautious it was a lot better. Graphics and music top-notch! |
| Apr 22 16:00:00 | 9m 00s | Mecha Cop 2875 | Definitely needs some sound design to just take it beyond, even with the amount of visual polish here which is excellent. I enjoyed the game, would have liked to have seen some variable jump heights - but riding the mechas was a fun highlight. |
| Apr 22 16:05:00 | 5m 00s | FIREFLY GUN ! | Wow. That was unexpected - a game about darkness with firefly mechanics and dynamic music? WTF. Great job! |
| Apr 22 16:33:00 | 28m 00s | Rude Bear Raid | Mate I can't believe you made an asynchronous multiplayer game. I had a quick go - graphics are amazing but I need some players to play with! |
| Apr 22 16:39:00 | 6m 00s | BOOMerang! | OK. Didn't expect that. Hahaha! |
| Apr 22 16:57:00 | 18m 00s | Crayon Poke | Man, you did it again. Best of the LD I've played so far! Have to say, thanks for your amazing work, your Valley Rule entry a couple of LDs ago inspired us to make our own Metroidvania/platformer this time - hope you get a chance to try it out! :) <br/> <br/>Again, well done and please continue to create more amazing games for me to study! |
| Apr 23 07:49:00 | 14h 52m | Lucid | I also created an exploration/Metroidvania platformer myself, so was on the lookout for good games to compare and study. Your art style really grabbed me, the animation and pixel art is absolutely amazing. Completed the game, I enjoyed finding the eggs and the platforming physics is absolutely spot on - even if you didn't implement downhill slope detection. Didn't see the theme come in anywhere, the attack was a nice effect though and I'm more about polish than innovation anywhere. Full marks from me! |
| Apr 23 08:05:00 | 16m 00s | Super Recoil Gun | Brilliant, love this! Things that could make it better: diagonal shooting, less brutal gravity, remove need for the Space key. That said - it was incredibly addictive, genius concept and had me laughing all the way through. Top marks! |
| Apr 23 08:17:00 | 12m 00s | Peanut | I love it! As I made a platformer myself I wanted to find others to compare and study, yours was definitely one of the good ones! I think a variable jump height would have helped give the player more control though, otherwise it's a bit old school in its difficulty. That said, I completed the game, the level designs were great and although the graphics were simple they still looked effective with all the colours, animations and other nice little touches. Well done! |
| Apr 23 08:26:00 | 9m 00s | Spell Mates | The graphics, animation and the solid platforming physics make this one especially shine. |
| Apr 23 08:34:00 | 8m 00s | Out Of Mind | This is brilliant! |
| Apr 23 10:12:00 | 1h 38m | Compassion | I love it, and there's a twist ending! Big fan of that art style too, you did a good job using that effectively. Wish it had some audio! |
| Apr 23 10:17:00 | 5m 00s | Gravity Flow | Having made a platformer myself, I wanted to find others to compare and study. The lovely graphics grabbed my attention with this one - but I had some trouble getting to grips with the mechanics at first. Also the control input is a bit strange, you can't run then jump, you have to press jump first. Apart from that I enjoyed the physics and audio! |
| Apr 23 10:32:00 | 15m 00s | Avian Days | I also made a Metroidvania, although not as innovative as yours. I was on the lookout to play similar games to compare and study and I am glad I found yours! Physics feels just right, graphics are lovely and the bird/bread mechanic is really innovative. <br/> <br/>That said, it was very difficult and I didn't manage to get to the end boss - but I enjoyed watching your walkthrough video nonetheless. Good job! And I would appreciate your feedback on my entry as well :) |
| Apr 23 10:43:00 | 11m 00s | TETRATOR | Great. So not only do I have to play Tetris, and not die in normal Tetris but now I have to keep an eye out for those invaders? And then I get distracted watching the lovely missile and explosions animation after I do a 4 line Tetris, only to realise I've forgotten that the next piece has fallen. Fucker. (Full marks btw!) |
| Apr 23 11:43:00 | 1h 00m | Cooper 32 vs. Doctor Dynamo | Great graphics! Very difficult but solid and fair mechanics - which is a good thing, every death is always your fault. Would have liked to see variable jump heights but thats a minor issue. As I made a platformer/Metroidvania myself I'm glad I found your entry. Good work! |
| Apr 23 11:46:00 | 3m 00s | Soulstealer | Great graphics! Very difficult but solid and fair mechanics - which is a good thing, every death is always your fault. Would have liked to see variable jump heights but thats a minor issue. As I made a platformer/Metroidvania myself I'm glad I found your entry. Good work! |
| Apr 23 11:56:00 | 10m 00s | Clarinetto | So short I wanted more. But that's a good thing because the platforming physics are spot on, graphics are great (love the grass/vines tiles) and the music is nice and friendly. "Charming" is a great word to describe this game! |
| Apr 23 12:02:00 | 6m 00s | A.R.B.F. | Amazing - didn't expect this one to be so fun! The whole level based around chasing the boss. Seems so easy at first then for some reason got progressively harder. Last minute was tense as both health bars were low, but then I got killed. Fantastic work! |
| Apr 23 12:06:00 | 4m 00s | Venari | Absolutely love it. I rated the post-Jam version as its more true to your original vision, and besides collision bug fixes are allowed. The graphics are fantastic and I would really love to see this turn into a full game. |
| Apr 23 12:11:00 | 5m 00s | 1337 BEAT AGENT | I fail at beat detection. Still - was only going to play platformers but this looked excellent and I love hacking themes. Great job, top marks! |
| Apr 23 12:21:00 | 10m 00s | Trappy Trap | Everything is fantastic about this game - great graphics, audio and animation! Took me a while to get used to which trap to be used for each mob, I wonder if there's a more intuitive way to achieve this... |
| Apr 23 12:32:00 | 11m 00s | A Knife Made Of Whispers | Amazing, you did it again! Everything about this game is perfection and I applaud your collect of fantastic LD entries. By the way, your last entry, Bird Song really inspired me and as a result made a Metroidvania game myself for this LD. Hope you have the time to check it out! |
| Apr 23 13:38:00 | 1h 06m | End of the Line | I really really like this entry. That intro - really hooks you in from the very beginning. I would have liked to see a variable jump height and a couple of other mechanics to add a bit of meat to the game but otherwise this is a very polished game for the jam! Pity I was getting into it and then the game finished :P |
| Apr 23 13:53:00 | 15m 00s | Mable: The Journey | Ahhh man the concept is brilliant - this needs to be a full platformer type thing using the same sword and flying mechanic. I made a Metroidvania for my LD entry and I can imagine your core mechanic to work very well in an open-world setting. <br/> <br/>Anyway, with what you have here, graphics, animation, sound and music are top notch! |
| Apr 23 14:54:00 | 1h 01m | Sky Sword | Great fun when you're on the sword, boring when you fall off (I guess that's the point!). Very polished entry, loving all that bloom effect. |
| Apr 23 14:57:00 | 3m 00s | Revenge of the Slimeball: Episode 9 | I love these graphics, very impressive pixel art. The platforming physics were fairly good, although I think the ground friction was way too low. Jump charging was an interesting mechanic - I enjoyed flinging myself all over the shop! |
| Apr 23 15:26:00 | 29m 00s | DAGDROM | All I have to say is, this is Absolute Perfection. I don't mind telling you got 5 stars in every category. As someone who created a platformer/Metroidvania himself, this is a fantastic study to learn from. Bravo! |
| Apr 23 15:41:00 | 15m 00s | The Hoverboard Convention | I love this game. Cool Beam FTW |
| Apr 23 15:49:00 | 8m 00s | Decrepit Lord of Charge | The only thing I'd say is to make your camera lerp to your position rather than instant translation, that'll help it feel less jerky... <br/> <br/>Other than that - pretty good platforming physics and amazing charge mechanics! Such a good idea :) I also created a platformer/Metroidvania type thing, so I'm very happy I stumbled onto your entry! |
| Apr 23 16:03:00 | 14m 00s | Iridescent | Really enjoyed this, and your pixel art is amazing! Can you provide a downloadable build? Having made a platformer/Metroidvania myself I'd like to keep some of the games I like as studies into the genre. |
| Apr 23 16:22:00 | 19m 00s | Shield Maiden | Love it! As someone who also made a platformer/Metroidvania I was on the lookout for others and your pixel art grabbed my attention. Shield mechanic was really fun, game was pretty difficult though - not managed to beat it as of yet! Overall, top notch :) |
| Apr 23 16:30:00 | 8m 00s | Wok Quest! | Great pixel art, fun almost pacman-like mechanics, nice music but on the whole needs a bit more polish. Definitely one of the more impressive entries though, well done! |
| Apr 24 06:32:00 | 14h 02m | Daygore Bunko | Love it, audio, graphics, animation, gameplay everything. You basically created Nuclear Throne mechanics in 72 hours but with a nice twist. I wish you'd focused more on the shooting aspect of it, the transformation is much too short and I felt the game was the most fun in that mode. Melee was rather tedious whereas the shooting was totally badass. That said, it's just balancing issues and really the potential is fantastic here. Great job! |
| Apr 24 08:37:00 | 2h 05m | In Your Arms | There's so much to like about this entry - the pixel art and animation is delicious and the combat feels just right, responsive, good radius, satisfying. It's a shame because you clearly ran out of time to finish adding the end boss! Rolling/dashing would have added more depth to the combat, and I felt the sound design was lacking. Still one of the more polished entries out there though, and I'd love to see future entries! |
| Apr 24 08:47:00 | 10m 00s | Dr. U and the bottomless PIT | I love the intro, the music, voiceovers, graphics everything! Such a charming little game! |
| Apr 24 09:02:00 | 15m 00s | Sword in a mirror | Thank you for making this game! I really enjoyed the "sword" mechanic, didn't think it was going to add so much depth to the gameplay as it did! Platforming physics are pretty good too, variable height jumping, good input buffering, air control all there. I wish the horizontal moving platforms didn't make you bounce, although I suspect that was a technical limitation? Anyway, having made a platformer/Metroidvania type thing myself, I was on the lookout for other similar games so I could compare and study - and I'm really glad I found yours as I really love the clever mechanic! Top marks :) (And of course I played til the end) |
| Apr 24 09:08:00 | 6m 00s | Joe | Loving the graphics and animations! Controls could do with a little fine tuning but otherwise a great stealthy jumpy game, whatever you want to call it! |
| Apr 24 09:19:00 | 11m 00s | Scream(But not too much) | Love the style! Also made a platformer/Metroidvania thing, so I'm glad I found yours. Platform physics seem pretty solid, although variable jump heights would have been nice! Screaming is a fun mechanic but I wish I could see more of the screen, the darkness is a bit overkill! "THAT WAS TOO MUCH" haha. Top marks :) |
| Apr 26 00:55:00 | 39h 36m | Does It Shoot? | The pixel art is absolutely fucking amazing - I wish I had access to that kind of talent! The gameplay itself was not very engaging for me, but that's execution. The concept itself is really good and I'd love to play a fully fledged game about crafting guns, even if it is non-interactive like this one! |
| Apr 26 00:58:00 | 3m 00s | April Bloom | I love this game. The mechanics are sound, and the simplicity of design is mesmerizing. I was addicted to this for quite a bit! |
| Apr 26 01:01:00 | 3m 00s | Specter Snap | The trade off between the focus distance and size is genius - what a great mechanic! Everything is really charming about this game, top marks! |
| Apr 26 01:14:00 | 13m 00s | Eggs vs Knights | That lighting effect is amazing, I have no idea how you managed to do that. I had a lot of fun playing this, although it was pretty difficult to get the timings right. Good stuff! |
| Apr 26 01:29:00 | 15m 00s | Ninja Swapper | Fantastic swapping mechanic, and really good platformer physics. I created a platformer/Metroidvania type game as well, so it was interesting to see other games with really well implemented platforming. I enjoyed Ninja Swapper quite a bit, but I can imagine would split the crowd as the game does require a bit of level memorization in order to achieve success. Similar to 1001 spikes, it's often impossible to complete a level the first time regardless of skill. But this depends on player's personality and for me, I quite like that kind of difficulty! |
| Apr 26 16:06:00 | 14h 37m | Chicken Rescue Mission On MARS! | There's a lot to like about this game! I'm a big fan of your pixel art, and having made a platformer/Metroidvania myself for the LD, I'm glad I stumbled onto your game as the graphics really provide me a lot of inspiration. <br/> <br/>The platforming physics had a really good feel, a variable height jump would have been a much welcome bonus. It's a shame you didn't have time to get audio and more levels in there as the first 2 levels were pretty easy to beat - but I can see the potential is definitely there. <br/> <br/>Good job, top marks! |
| Apr 26 16:13:00 | 7m 00s | DUK | I was rooting for that duck. Good job. |
| Apr 26 16:28:00 | 15m 00s | Badass Inc | Fantastic, what an inspiration |
| Apr 26 21:52:00 | 5h 24m | Chaos Tomb | Huge game map! Really enjoyed it, very difficult but the platforming physics was well done. I also made a Metroidvania-style platformer so was pleased to see other similar entries. The save system seems pretty well implemented which is basically unheard of in jam games and the javascript game engine seems smooth and responsive. Good job! |
| Apr 26 22:01:00 | 9m 00s | Attractor | I love the magnet/attraction mechanic, something I haven't seen before! I also made a platformer/Metroidvania thing so I'm glad I stumbled onto your entry, interesting seeing other people's different takes on the genre. The platforming and puzzles were well thought out and difficult, graphics nice and clean, overall very nice entry :) |
| Apr 26 22:49:00 | 48m 00s | Sun Wukong | Absolutely amazing. I generally love Sun Wukong as a mythological character and wish more games included him. <br/> <br/>I also made a platformer/Metroidvania myself so I'm really happy to have stumbled on your entry. The world is huge and so many abilities and content in this game - and very difficult but satisfying too. A minor negative is that all the areas have the same graphics, so it was difficult to remember which places I'd been to. However, it was either that or sacrifice the gameplay so I think you did the right thing there :) Also loved the character art and the little flourishes of animation. I'm seriously impressed, and makes my own Metroidvania pale in comparison in terms of features. Well done! |
| Apr 26 23:06:00 | 17m 00s | Blackbird | The animation and monochrome artstyle in this entry is absolutely incredible! |
| Apr 26 23:29:00 | 23m 00s | BitGun | Great platforming! I would only say perhaps consider changing the controls to Arrow Keys, Z to jump, X to shoot as its a little awkward with the left hand (it's not an FPS game). However, controls aside, great game and really enjoyed playing it! |
| Apr 26 23:34:00 | 5m 00s | MV | Absolutely amazing but way too short (this is a compliment asking for more!) The world switching mechanic on jumping is something new and so a bit tricky to master but very enjoyable to play. Love the graphics and animation also - nothing bad to say about this game, top marks! <br/> <br/>I also created a platformer/Metroidvania, really glad to stumble on yours as it's refreshing to see a new concept like this. |
| Apr 26 23:43:00 | 9m 00s | Wee Pon | I love the Wee Pon throwing and switching mechanics, really unique and fun to play around with! Good job on making a "mini" Metroidvania, I also created one for this LD so it's nice to see others doing it too! |
| Apr 26 23:50:00 | 7m 00s | Bubble Becky | Nice mechanic with the bubblegum! Although occasionally you do get stuck which is a little bit frustrating. Graphics are excellent and then general polish and feel of the game is really impressive! |
| Apr 26 23:59:00 | 9m 00s | Blink Gun | Brilliantly executed! |
| Apr 27 00:15:00 | 16m 00s | Cut! | Crazy unique mechanic, really interesting. I have no idea how you managed to implement cutting and pasting terrain like that! The platforming physics I felt were too rigid though, no air control and no variable height jumping, although I realise you're mainly prototyping the cut and paste stuff which probably took up most of the jam time. I'd like to see what comes of this! |
| Apr 27 01:58:00 | 1h 43m | Wreckbeard: Men's Rights Arcanist | Hey dude, you didn't say you did a LD this time! Much love, great game ;) |
| Apr 27 09:32:00 | 7h 34m | Ice Story ( koori monogatari 氷物語 ) | Wow, the pixel art is amazing, so inspiring. Good job! |
| Apr 27 09:35:00 | 3m 00s | AAAVVV | Wow - the "platforming" physics are really strange! Gravity but then jumps last forever. It's an interesting mechanic, and I enjoyed the difficulty level of the game. |
| Apr 27 09:37:00 | 2m 00s | Floppy Man | Derpy ragdoll physics, what could go wrong? Potential for a really funny game here! |
| Apr 27 09:41:00 | 4m 00s | Size-o-Tron 3000 | Couldn't get the Windows post-compo version to work, complained about missing xinput. |
| Apr 27 09:44:00 | 3m 00s | Robot Uprising! | Amazing pixel art and animation, really inspiring work! |
| Apr 27 09:51:00 | 7m 00s | Minotaur | Really liked the block moving mechanics on this one, really unique! A variable height jump would have been a nice addition. Graphics are nice and clean, puzzles were difficult but had that sandbox feel so you could try anything without being hemmed into one inflexible solution. Good job! I also created a platformer/Metroidvania thing, so I was glad to have stumbled onto your entry to compare and study - it's been an inspiration. |
| Apr 27 10:18:00 | 27m 00s | Detune | Wow, love the concept it's brilliant. The actual mechanic is tricky, very tight timing but also impossible to predict the notes and patterns without seeing them slide down towards the squares (like most rhythm games). Button mashing appears to be the only way to win the game. Still - the concept is "sound" (haha) and I'd love to play a game like this with lots of musical layers! Oh and simple but really nice art style. |
| Apr 27 10:35:00 | 17m 00s | Crystalline | This is amazing, didn't expect much but was totally hooked in! The puzzle mechanics, mood, ambient sounds all added to the atmosphere. And I loved the ending, even if it is somewhat disturbing! I also created a platformer/Metroidvania type thing, and was really glad I stumbled onto your entry as it provided me with a lot of inspiration for study. Good job, top marks! |
| Apr 27 10:38:00 | 3m 00s | Dagobert | Really love the graphics on this! Agree with first poster, charge bar would be a nice addition. Good job! |
| Apr 27 10:42:00 | 4m 00s | Jump Gun | Wow - as gamers you really take for granted the ability to jump. Take that away and you get something really difficult and interesting! Enjoyed the game, I think if you increased the ground friction to reduce sliding the platforming physics would feel absolutely perfect. Hope you manage to get the art in in the end! |
| Apr 27 10:49:00 | 7m 00s | Genesis | I'm going to rate based on the platforming physics since I think the level design is not really existent here (apart from the last 3 or so levels!). Really really well done. Not many people will notice but I think you nailed down the platforming perfectly. Variable jump heights, correct amount of ground friction and air control. Dashing mechanic works a treat. It all just feels right. All the makings of a potentially great platform engine. <br/> <br/>I also created a platformer/Metroidvania type thing for the LD, so I was on the lookout for other platformers so I could compare and study for inspiration. Not many of them have got the physics down as well as yours, so good job! |
| Apr 27 10:54:00 | 5m 00s | Bubbles | Yep you nailed the platforming physics perfectly. Variable jump height, wall jumping, double jump, even moving platforms. Stellar work! The only thing I'd add is a slightly horizontal jump off the wall rather than straight up, it'll look and feel better I think! Love the graphics also, chunky pixels I'm a big fan of. And that audio. "SAVE" <br/> <br/>I also created a platformer/Metroidvania thing with similar jumping mechanics, hope you have time to give mine a try too! <br/> <br/>Really enjoyed your entry, top marks! |
| Apr 27 11:02:00 | 8m 00s | Get The Cookies Back | Really good, filling up the start button with water just hooked me in to the rest of the game. Platforming physics feel really good, but a variable jump height would have made it even better! Love the graphics, chunky pixels I'm a big fan of! |
| Apr 27 11:10:00 | 8m 00s | Slam Jam Bakery | The jam particles and graphics are amazing. As is the audio. A really impressive entry, you can really see the ridiculous amount of work here! |
| Apr 27 11:23:00 | 13m 00s | Space Bug | Really enjoying this game, collecting abilities is a cool mechanic. And really clever use of coloured blocks for graphics, certainly looks striking and good use of your time spent doing art! |
| Apr 27 11:27:00 | 4m 00s | Sivo: Trial of the Lava God | The graphics/modelling is great! Physics feel a little glitchy at times, but generally got a really nice "Monument Valley" type vibe to it. I wish the "song" was a little more melodic though haha! |
| Apr 27 15:37:00 | 4h 10m | The Hand That Feeds | The graphics are lush! |
| Apr 27 15:40:00 | 3m 00s | Graviton | Gravity based games are awesome, and the mechnically is really well implemented here. I also enjoyed the art style and animation, simple but crisp and consistent and very good looking. Thumbs up! |
| Apr 27 15:55:00 | 15m 00s | Boreocracy | Great atmosphere, I was really getting into it - seems like it was going to end hilariously well. Shame you ran out of time, hope you finish the game! |
| Apr 27 16:34:00 | 39m 00s | Copycat | Amazing turn based game, really simple but properly engaging. I'd play a full "roguelike" that has these mechanics! |
| Apr 27 16:43:00 | 9m 00s | Geisterblut | WTF did I just play. Wow. Can't praise this one enough! |
| Apr 27 16:56:00 | 13m 00s | BED✰HOGG | Absolutely brilliant. Obviously very well polished, graphics, animation, music etc... but amazingly the AI is fairly tough to beat, something really hard to implement in a jam. Well done! |
| Apr 27 17:26:00 | 30m 00s | Monster Detective Agency | This is ridiculous, one second I thought I had questioned everyone, step into a room and boom about 200 more mobs to search through! Haha :P <br/> <br/>Love the graphics and atmosphere, pretty creepy stuff. The level was much bigger than I first imagined. I think I got the first perp - is there anything that tells you you were successful? <br/> <br/>Either way really enjoyed this mate! Top marks from me :) |
| Apr 27 22:05:00 | 4h 39m | A Good Tunnel Is Hard To Dig | "So how hard could this be, just dig dow-OH SHIT" <br/>5/5 |
| Apr 27 22:11:00 | 6m 00s | Maniac killing zombies with shoes! | Great platforming physics implementation, variable height jump is there, feels responsive. The scrolling background made my eyes hurt after a bit, and I think you should just do translation for screenshake instead of rotation - its a standard technique which in my opinion feels much better. Good entry though, I enjoyed playing it! |
| Apr 27 22:16:00 | 5m 00s | bloodshot | Fantastic game! Great models and animation, and that's a lovely looking shader you got there. I think the blood as ammo resource mechanic is really interesting, and I'd like to see more of that kind of stuff in games. Great job! |
| Apr 27 22:19:00 | 3m 00s | The Nameless One | Really digging the artstyle for this game. Wow - either thats a really nice shader or you're doing something cool to make those colours really stand out! |
| Apr 27 22:37:00 | 18m 00s | Manriki | Gravity is a little floaty for my taste especially with the quite responsive running and air control. But lovely graphics, mood and atmosphere, loved the look of it! |
| Apr 29 08:53:00 | 34h 16m | Fathom | Wow. I can't believe I missed this one. I also created what I think is a fairly polished platformer/Metroidvania thing but there were 3 of us doing coding, art and music in the 72 hours and yet you were able to do all of this entirely by yourself? This is maddening... <br/> <br/>Amazing pixel art, fantastic music and I love the bullet time mechanic. Full marks on everything! |
| Apr 29 09:24:00 | 31m 00s | Timelock | Hey man, love the puzzles in this game - properly mind bending. I'm really bad at puzzle design so pretty impressed with this! Presentation and audio are nice. Like others have said, a few prompts and option to zoom wouldn't be a bad thing! |
