The game feels a little confusing (and I do play solitaire often), i was able to add all the cards in the playing area to the random pile and just cheese it from there because the cards would not stack in the playing area. That said, I really loved the music and the atmosphere!
Oh this is just what I needed after this jam. S-Tier art style, and I'm so glad that this is my last game of the night :relieved:
It's a very unique and interesting idea for sure, but I had to constantly look at the ground because of the performance issues >.> It's a little barebones, sure, but the bones themselves feel quite good. Would be lovely to see this idea expanded on more :)
I love the simplicity of it and the no-nonsense interpretation of the theme! Sometimes the hit-reg felt a little iffy, so some kind of feedback in addition to the health reduction would have been lovely, but the gameplay is super engaging.
Hey, I've been looking forward to playing this one ever since I saw the devlog posts! The art style during the gameplay feels very crisp, and I adore the collectibles! Some guards do seem to be there right at the spawn of the stage though, which caught me out unluckily :(
Ok wow, this is super engaging, This is probably the game I felt most immersed in by far. AND GOSH THIS BRINGS BACK MEMORIES.
OH THAT RULED. No notes, this is hands down the funniest game I've played xD (say hi to Fred for me)

It's a neat gameplay loop, but the gameplay itself feels like it could be better described from moment to moment. Solid effort otherwise, with cute graphics and good audio!
This felt tense to play, in a good way. And yeah, like many others pointed out, it reminds me of early 2k flash games
I love the art style a lot, and the gameplay loop itself feels quite fun! That said, it would be very lovely to have a bit more feedback to certain actions like when buying the collectibles. Pretty cool otherwise! :D
Absolutely wonderful aesthetics, some music would be nice, but the sound design on its own is quite wonderful. It felt like a tense Balatro, and I was really engaged all the way through.
The monsters are really cute and the gameplay loop itself is quite engaging, and it feels like there's a lot of depth to it!

The intro really set up high expectations, but ended up with lackluster gameplay. That said, this was the first time I heard about the Pat Sin Leng wildfire, and my heart goes out to its victims.
@ljol3 sorry about that! It seems to be an issue with how the ldjam embed interacts with Chromium based browsers, and I can confirm that the issue does not occur with Firefox. I've notified Mike(the LDJam host) about that. In the meantime, I'd really appreciate it if you tried it on Itch.io!

@el-pepi Yeah, looks like Chromium based browsers don't like the ldjam embed much. :( I've tried pinging Mike over on bsky, but until then, I can only provide an alternative upload on Itch.io. Thank you _so_ much for taking the time to try the game on Firefox! I'm glad you enjoyed it. :3

@poboy you would be correct 😅 I used to jam when I was a teenager, but I've removed those games because having my distinct full legal name out there wasn't exactly the best decision in hindsight. I've worked at a game studio professionally for a year, and 3 years ago I joined a company where we use game tech for IRL problem solving. :3 I am working on a larger project with some friends at the moment when I'm off-work, though! This jam project was a part of going back into gaming after spending the past few years in enterprise. Thank you for playing!
