Really chill game concept. I liked the grass look but unfortunately I think it created some stuttering on my pc. Could see this game being cool when fleshed out looking for the best wind spots and upgrading the power!

Very Nice

Thanks for checking it out, @kekluck! Especially since there was no description at the time, haha. Also, I'm really glad you were able to figure out what to do without any instructions yet

I'm less glad to hear you had performance issues. There are definite pros and cons to developing on a powerful PC. Thank you for the heads up, I really appreciate it, and thanks again for playing!

taximan981 2025-10-07 04:30

Cool game to just have on in the background, every so often place some new fans, nice work with the graphics and atmosphere!

winter2277 2025-10-07 04:31

Stunning environment, the grass with the wind, the ocean and sky blending perfectly are nice to look at. Well done

stlrain 2025-10-07 04:56

Nice game, got Bliss vibes. Some ambient would be good

maimai 2025-10-08 00:32

Thanks for playing @taximan981 @winter2277 @stlrain I was aiming for a chill incremental simulator like game so I'm glad some of that came across.

Unfortunately, I ran out of time and had to drop a number of ideas. So I didn't have time to get to juicing it up, which also included audio, as often is the case

nomus 2025-10-08 23:16

chillest game

aqtun 2025-10-08 23:44

Pretty chill game, I have noticed that the bigger the wind turbine the less power it produces per dollar, was the idea to incentivize players to place more rather than wait for the bigger wind turbine?

surfacedfox 2025-10-09 10:13

It's a very unique and interesting idea for sure, but I had to constantly look at the ground because of the performance issues >.> It's a little barebones, sure, but the bones themselves feel quite good. Would be lovely to see this idea expanded on more :)

stuckne1 2025-10-09 12:29

I think a little ambient sound would add a lot, but it was pretty and interesting.

custodi 2025-10-09 23:34

Chilling game, but world is too emply. Balance is weak, takes too much time for next level. I would add some power lines to connect windmills to energy collector (kinda).

maimai 2025-10-10 01:03

Thanks for playing and the comments!

@aqtun Good question, you're right. My original idea was that space would be at more of a premium and you would be able to recycle and sell turbines. So you would opt for the bigger ones more so because it's better power per space.

@surfacedfox Sorry about performance. I'm assuming it's the grass, I figured it would be more optimized than it turned out to be :frowning2:

@stuckne1 @custodi You'd think I could scope game jams better after doing them for years, but here I am still submitting games with cut features. Time allowing I would love to have music, ambience, and effects. Also, my original plan was to have them all connected to a battery that you would also have to upgrade in order to store more

khamekaze 2025-10-10 19:24

Absolutely love the vibe of this game, super relaxing 👌

fan 2025-10-11 07:29

Interesting game, watching the windmill turn is definitely relaxing

d3kryption 2025-10-12 00:47

Very very chill. this is the type of chill game thats along the lines of journey or something nintedo haha Great job! :D

lulu-hihi 2025-10-13 16:37

very relaxing congrat for your hard work!

jk5000 2025-10-13 21:44

I am sorry, but I don't like this game. Okay it is looking great!!! But give me ugly and fun, instead of pretty and doll (again I am sorry). I see near no gameplay, and the gameplay that is here is not very interesting. I also see a lot people calling it relaxing, and yes you can relax a lot between every time you can afford building a new wind turbine.

I have played some of your other LD games, and overall I liked them. So I know you can make some more interesting and fun. But for me this was not very good. I am once again sorry for saying this.

patatje 2025-10-13 22:13

pretty environment and cool concept for a idle game! i do think the game could've benefited with some ambient sounds like wind blowing through the grass or the spinning of the fans. i could see this being expanded upon with placing other fun decorative objects to create your own island to live on.

maimai 2025-10-14 02:54

Thanks for playing and the comments!

And I appreciate the feedback, @jk5000, and especially that you've played other games of mine and enjoyed them! I do try to do different things in each jam game so there's going to be varying levels of success. This is also only my second LD game in Unreal and it just takes me longer to make something using this engine, so unfortunately I have to cut more features than I'd like  .

If you've played other games of mine you will see that a lot of them do struggle with balance because I barely get it working in time to submit, let alone properly balance and add music, sound, and juice. Some day I will scope a game well!

Excuses aside, thank you for the honest feedback!

This was such a peaceful experience. The visuals were beautiful, especially the way the grass and sky moved with the wind — it really set a calm mood. I liked how open and relaxing it felt to just build turbines at my own pace without any pressure. It reminded me of an idle sandbox where you can just zone out and enjoy the view. I think a bit of ambient sound, like wind or ocean waves, would make it even more immersive, but even without that, it already feels very meditative. Really nice work.

smilewood 2025-10-19 02:13

Nice and chill, as advertised. the ramping up of income was fast enough that I was never bored and the environment a nice peaceful thing to have on the other screen as I write this review. I do wish there was more to discover on the island, maybe areas with differing wind power, but that is way out of the reasonable scope of a game jam :) I would have liked some indication of how the power produced related to income, it felt like I got more the more power I had but was hard to tell. Overall a great peaceful time, I enjoyed the buildup to larger things. Great job!

alwayshungry 2025-10-19 02:25

Your idea is truly innovative! Describing wind power generation as "collecting wind" is incredibly romantic. Besides working on the main quests, I also really enjoy the feeling of running and jumping around on the grassland.

maimai 2025-10-29 04:21

Thank you so much @elfb0y @smilewood @alwayshungry for playing! I'm so happy you were able to experience the type of vibe I was attempting to craft!

The game would have benefitted so much from an ambient soundscape and some SFX to further complement the mood. And lol @alwayshungry, player movement is something I always really care about, and even though it's less directly relevant to this game I did want to add enough speed and agility so that it wasn't a slog to traverse the island - so I'm glad someone appreciated it
