This is a great entry! Beautiful graphics, fantastic game mechanics and use of the theme. Great music and sound too. No criticism here, really well done.

Nice work (especially for the time), as dries vuyisteke said I think the snake graphic is actually kinda cute and definitely makes it feel like there was a bit of love/effort put into what is otherwise just a snake clone (with a nice twist!).
I managed 54 food as my best run, not sure how that stacks up.
Great Art Assets! Loved the grappling hook mechanic as well. As others have said I didn't really feel like the enemies were much of a threat, I ended the game being absolutely blasted by a bunch of them but still made it through the portal.
Still a lot of fun regardless!
This is a really cool idea, beautiful pixel art graphics and a good variety of items/skills/cards (whatever you prefer to call them). It took me a minute to get used to the controls but after that I had a lot of fun with it, great work.
Hey this was cool, really liked the music and art style, set a great spacey/sci-fi mood. the cockpit view of the outside space was very small - which at first I didn't like but then I thought it was potentially as a result of the theme(??). Either way it gave a bit of a claustrophobic feel to it, which actually heightened the tension somewhat. The side view cameras were a nice touch too.
I enjoyed getting hit by space debri/what looked like crashed ships and satellites and the effect it had on my ship. Having some kind of alarm sound and/or indicator on the HUD could have been cool when this happened!
I did have some issues, sometimes when respawning I would hit the station and start spinning wildly out of control, might be as a result of turning my mouse as I died. I also had to Alt-F4 to exit the game, not sure if I missed something there.
Nice work!
Nice entry, as others have said I think if enemies were stopped by the walls it would have been a bit better. Even if they couldn't find their way around it and just got stuck.
Great concept though!
Love it, love the minimalist graphic style, love the music and especially love the concept. So far easily one of my favourite games from this years Ludum Dare.
Really nice idea, I especially love the aesthetic/art direction. Great idea to have multiple types of flowers with different effects. Managed to snag a win on my second try :)
Nice!
I love this, really nice and actually quite difficult. I probably spent more time in the Main Menu just making melodies than actually playing the game, but the game itself was a lot of fun too!
This is a really neat concept and also my personal hell, I hate crowded public transport!
Really well executed, great use of the theme!
Really interesting idea, It took me a while to get the hang of it and when it finally started clicking I didn't realise I could zoom out and drag the map around! But I figured that out pretty quickly and then found and successfully stabilised the research station :)
I did have a weird "bug" of sorts, when I zoomed-out and/or dragged the map, I no longer had any indication that I was hovering over the tiles, and there were no triangle/shape indicators being rendered either. I did manage to recreate this bug when I dragged over to the edge of the map and zoomed out.
I also sometimes needed to double click to place a spacer, this again seems to be to do with zooming out (or just my browser/PC). Overall really cool idea and a very fun/interesting game. Well done!
Interesting little game, I too "solved" the puzzle first by hitting the exit.
Might be more interesting if instead of the spikes being timed, they instead close in on the player when they make an error in the order of pressure plates they step on - this might give a bit more feedback to the player on how they are doing, and some more time to think about the puzzle itself.
As others have said it is very short too (although I understand that giving the development timeframe!)
Well done!
@gamejmunk I absolutely agree it can be very confusing, one of the things I wish I had more time for was instructions. I will try to clear it up in the description of the game.
As for generators (much like food production), they require a "Powered Tile". A powered tile is one with a Power Supply placed at the bottom (first building on tile). This is very poorly explained in-game, but I ran out of time for a lot of things unfortunately. Thanks for the response!
@niterich Thanks for your feedback, You make some great points and I actually agree with literally everything you have said. I have also had the experience of not realising why I wasn't building something - even as the dev - so I'm definitely aware of the issues in that regard. Judging difficulty is a tough as the developer, especially with little time to test, and I think poor explanation and the absence of a tutorial made the barrier to entry higher than needed (coupled with poor player feedback and UI)
Thanks for your detailed feedback! My first Jam was a lot of fun, and a little bit stressful. Can't wait for the next one.
@fenderbate Hahaha thanks, I don't blame you. I should have spent time on a short in-game tutorial and some better alerts/player feedback as some others have said. Thanks for playing :)
Fun idea, I enjoyed playing it. As some others have said sometimes - especially when it begins to get faster and faster - it gets hard to track which word you started typing. I got a score of 1020 and into wave 13, but I made an error when typing a word, tried to type some of the other - many words - and couldn't. My own fault, but at the speed everything was going I had no idea what I had to type.
Despite that one issue I had with it I thought the game was a really neat idea, a lot of fun to play and really satisfying when you clear a wave. Some of the sounds were good, some a little iffy (the error sound) but they got the message across.
Overall really nice work!
