LD36 — Ancient Technology

Trireme by MarekkPie 2016-08-29T08:15:00

I agree with the other comments, the controls were a bit confusing at first playthrough. Sounds and visuals are great, though, and it's a fun game after getting the controls right.

Xolotl by SetTheBet 2016-08-29T07:59:00

Awesome work! The player animation is nice to look at, and the teleporting mechanism makes the levels really interesting.

KEK NOR KEK by nanimono 2016-08-29T11:18:00

This has a nice haunting atmosphere, and the death animation is pretty sweet.

Forest Walk by slam_nine 2016-08-28T17:46:00

Thanks Iefyo! I'm fixing and updating the builds now.

Forest Walk by slam_nine 2016-08-29T08:59:00

Hey, thank you @Ulydev! That will definitely make distributing love2d games on web a lot easier.

Forest Walk by slam_nine 2016-08-29T09:10:00

Thanks for playing and feedback @Traf d-Lo! The death count tracks the player deaths, the wording might be too ambiguous. I did the web version with love.js, but love.ulydev.com should be a great way do it too. :)

Forest Walk by slam_nine 2016-08-29T09:14:00

@pokenoufl I might keep working on it later. It shouldn't be too difficult to add levels now that I have the basic framework done.

Forest Walk by slam_nine 2016-08-30T09:26:00

Sure, @steph88. And thanks for the feedback!

Forest Walk by slam_nine 2016-08-30T12:27:00

Thanks for the feedback @MarekkPie! I'll keep those in mind when doing polishing.

@Geared Games Thanks for playing! I planned a pacifist ending too, where you don't pick up any weapons, jump in the mouth of the monster and get eaten. Unfortunately I didn't have time to implement it in the game. :D

@Seizar Seems like my evil plan of getting the player to kill that innocent little dog worked!

Replicator by toadheart 2016-08-30T10:08:00

Really nice atmosphere! The simple soundtrack fits the game well. Is there multiple endings to this game?

Pax Extraterrestria by t3h_3lyk 2016-08-29T10:38:00

It's a bit hard game, maybe because the block meter depletes so quickly. I never got through stage 5. The player graphics remind me of old retro adventure games.

Antiquis Apparatus by Seizar 2016-08-30T10:26:00

Using the crane to stack things was harder than I anticipated, but fun nonetheless. Great job!

God's Tech by Marta Viader 2016-08-29T20:11:00

I like the visuals a lot. The difficulty ramps up nicely too, so one game doesn't take too long.

Past Live by Ysty 2016-08-28T18:37:00

Great idea and execution! I liked the ending a lot.

Cryptoglyphics by Bogden 2016-08-29T08:47:00

The letter boxes look right on chrome, but on firefox they are just lines, like there's zero height on the input box. Not sure if it's just on my end.

Great idea of crowdsourcing the glyphs, though!

Lighthouse - Illuminate to rescue! by tomdeal 2016-08-30T11:35:00

Nice work! The bloom effect looks really good. The last levels were pretty challenging too.
I got a couple of glitches with the light rays on the web version, but nothing major.

Ancient Boom by Jordan 2016-08-30T11:46:00

The screen shake and darkness made it a bit hard to see the enemies. Otherwise it worked fine for me. Unfortunately I couldn't save Jared in the end.

Old Man's Sky by Geared Games 2016-08-28T18:59:00

Nice job of remaking (demaking?) NMS in very retro atari-like graphics! The game runs smooth too.

Breathing by pavel_insight 2016-08-29T10:06:00

Nice! I like the walking animations and interactions between things.

I won it after a few tries. The length is pretty good, though the intro could be a bit shorter for repeated attempts.

ShroomMan by monstersauce 2016-08-30T11:13:00

Awesome job on the visuals! The colour palette looks great and the parallaxing effect scrolls smoothly. :)

Mummy craft by Sabina Lis 2016-08-31T16:47:00

The visuals are very clear and easy to look at, and I didn't find any problems with the gameplay either. Very solid entry, nice job!

The Switch - Worker by Ghen 2016-08-28T19:06:00

I like the visuals! A coloured web of phone lines looks nice.

Homecoming by adaFish 2016-08-30T11:05:00

Great job! It was really nice piecing together the background story from the items.
The floppy disk looked a bit weird for me when inserted in the pc on the web version.

LD37 — One room

ROOM ZERO by dv49 2016-12-12T20:13:00

I like the spinning and resizing room mechanic. Makes the game interesting, and a bit disorienting. The graphics look really nice too.

Pico Factory by caranha 2016-12-12T20:01:00

I liked it a lot. Especially the money graph at the end. It's really interesting to watch afterwards how the score went up and down as the game progressed. :)

LD51 — Every 10 seconds

That Time My Dog Got Space Hiccups by nanolotl 2022-10-02T16:44:36Z

I really like this idea! The time limit makes exploration interesting, having to make multiple trips before figuring out how to get the bones.

Sheeple by Jonathan Holm 2022-10-03T13:26:47Z

I love the twist on the second part, such a great idea!

10seq by BrettSchiff 2022-10-03T13:17:35Z

Nice! The time limit makes it a bit tricky to execute the puzzle in time, after figuring out what to do, but not impossible.

Emperor Penguin by OlivierYC 2022-10-02T18:56:32Z

I love it! The art is beautiful, and navigating the penguin politics was really fun.

Rob the Robber Man by Muruganantham Jai 2022-10-03T12:57:12Z

I like it! Fun gameplay and the traffic lights add a nice layer of strategy to evading the police.
