Really awesome game! Theme is on point, audio is great, and gameplay is overall very satisfying. No issues to report other than just the UI scaling, which was non-issue during gameplay. Awesome work!
solid game. I was a bit unsold on the mechanic until the later rounds - it got pretty crazy! The difficulty spike wasn't as gradual as I was hoping, but it was still really good. Maybe some tooltips to describe the towers more would've been nice - i didn't realize one of them was blowing up my other towers until it was too late! The last round was definitely worth saving money for, as I couldn't click between them fast enough.
Overall, great work!
I can't believe this is pure JS. Really cool that you did it the hard way and still got a result that's presentable, and within the confine of Compo time/rules. It definitely felt a little clunky controlwise, but I think the end result reflects a lot of work through your method. Great job!
This is actually a really fun game. Some of the controls are a little funky, but I appreciate the hotkeys being added. It's definitely a tough one! One anomaly I noticed is that if you drag your screen around while playing, audio seems to warp like scratching a record or something. Definitely a fun one, gonna keep trying to beat it.. Good work! As a side note, you should totally add some more content to this game. It's neat.
Wow.
This is really awesome, and unique. I love what you did with the theme, and the effort is there. Mood is on point. I wasn't expecting deep meaning here.. As far as quality of life goes, keeping focus on the text box after entering something was a bit of a chore - especially as I was trying to spam out words of encouragement! Keeping it selected would be a nice improvement.
This is seriously great, though. Good on you.
really neat game! Graphics, audio, and mood are on point. I replayed it a lot trying to figure out exactly what was going on, but unfortunately left a little confused still. I think a little more introduction would be awesome for this - because I was still unsure of what I should be doing after a few playthroughs. With a few minor tweaks to learning the mechanics, this would be that much better.
Great work!
This is a neat, yet simple game idea. Clever use of the theme, as well as a solid adaptation of the original game. Cool!
Tough game. The graphics are really neat, though! I got stuck in a hole and wasn't sure how to restart the level without restarting the whole game, though! And yeah, the water wasn't a requirement on all levels it seems - i totally buried it on one.
Great job though!
awesome game, audio, and mood
Hey there! Good work on your game jam. I was a little confused of what i was doing at the start, and had to restart a few times to really get an idea of the controls, objective, etc. I think maybe some tooltips would improve quality of life a lot here. Glad you were able to add some audio and decent graphics to help the mood out.
I think with some improvement on controls/tutorial, this could be made even better. Great work.
This was really neat! I got stuck on wave 6 though even after defeating all the enemies. I bought a healer and a defender. Maybe I couldn't find it? Neat effects, too!
Dig the movement, it's pretty obvious effort was put into it. I think you should totally try to add some more to the idea.
Thanks for the feedback everyone! I would love to add your suggestions after voting ends. This has been a blast to learn how to do.
@hundred Hah, thanks for the feedback. Graphics were definitely my lowest priority here, as I was learning how to code first and foremost. With some extra time I would definitely like to improve this area!
@indieaustin I was approaching the end of the jam and unfortunately put the replay button on the back burner, though adding it should be trivial once voting is over. Thanks for your feedback :)
@jani-penttinen , @chilleh, @frankie-hobbins , @kokiriboots, @zanthous Thanks so much for trying the game out and leaving your input! :)
neat tower defense idea! Didn't quite understand what to do about the viruses at first, and had a bit of a hard time keeping track of what towers were set to what ammo type. Neat concept, good graphics and sfx though.
Coughline Miami
This was a pretty fun game. I wasn't 100% sure what the mutations were doing until a bit of a ways in. It was pretty fun - and challenging at a few points.
Some textures look like they could use some love, but given the time constraints this is still really impressive, and you should be proud!
This was a really cool game, and kinda threw my expectations to the side. Literally expected just minesweeper here. The sound effects are really ominous but fitting, I think. It was all really cool, surprisingly easy to learn (but hard to master). I might keep this one on my computer for a bit..
Great job doing this in Rust as well, I don't know much about the language and it's cool to see submissions like this using other technologies. Great work.
This is super cool, love the 3D. The controls were a bit odd on the WebGL version - it felt like I should've been able to at least click and drag to move, instead of click to get bursts of speed. The graphics, audio, humor and even the mood were pretty solid. Great job, seriously!
I got to 2500 - this was a pretty cool game! I love the graphics, and the sound is fitting. Overall a pretty solid vibe. Only noticed some UI stuff, like the Quit button not working after a game is finished. I replayed this one a couple times - really really awesome for your first go. You should be proud! :v:
