LD46 — Keep it alive

Polka Never Dies by A-Flat Miner Studios 2020-04-21T04:34:12Z

Very cute! I like the theme and the goal of trying to keep the group marching. It took a while to get used to the timing - it could really use a bit more visual or audio cues for when you are on time or not (I couldn't figure out the bouncing ball)

Firekeeper by thomas-olsson 2020-04-24T06:45:48Z

@kkrac - The kick is better at hitting enemies that are grouped up. But honestly we had plans for limiting the use of fireballs at the start, making the kick more important... but in the end it was so fun to shoot we just sorta went nuts with it.

My BFF! Glorpol! by xel 2020-04-21T10:20:05Z

Nice job! It had a really nice aesthetic and cute writing. The combat was snappy and fun. I kinda wish there was minor differences in the enemies (even just getting bigger over time) but I understand the time limit is tough. Really fun overall!

Sun Shower by DevVex 2020-04-21T04:35:34Z

The link doesn't seem to work. Looks like a cute idea and art though.

Homelette by Blix 2020-04-21T08:19:50Z

Very nice little game. The extra difficulty of aiming your jump because of the odd shape of the egg was interesting and fun. It was extremely hard to move but it led to some funny moments. Good job!

Oaks & Pines by Argon 2020-04-21T04:53:00Z

Great job! I thought it was a cool balance of a "the game of life" style simulation plus a puzzle game. My only issue is that right now once you figure out a strategy it feels like you will never lose. If I can offer a suggestion - maybe make the player have to change their plan every now and then? (For example - every X turn a plant is placed randomly without your control... or every X turn water is removed from one tile and added to another tile) But that's a minor balance complaint. Overall it's a good idea that works really well!

FIREGUARD by Puszkee 2020-04-21T08:10:35Z

Cute game. It was interesting trying to balance using sticks to keep the fire alive vs using them as weapons. I liked the red laser shot of one of the enemies especially.

Keep the Planet Alive by TheNumberYellow 2020-04-22T11:50:32Z

I found it fun overall. I really like trying to balance the multiple types of threats and the fact that you yourself could be a threat if you're not careful. I also liked the theme of trying to protect the world from itself. Plus I thought the aesthetic was quite strong. Great job!

Chicken King by PHPGator 2020-04-22T11:53:29Z

Really nice mood and overall style. The gameplay worked totally fine, i just wish it had a bit more connection to the actual chicken raising (in part cause they were so cute). Good job!

The Land of The Consumed by NanoArch 2020-04-22T11:08:36Z

Well done! I really liked the enemy designs and having to switch between fighting & exploring, then running with the watering can while defenseless. I also enjoyed using the sword to block the shots.

Little Red Hood by RooftopDog 2020-04-22T11:23:47Z

Great little game. The lighting and the atmosphere were top notch - it set such a strong mood and lined up with the theme of keeping the light alive quite well. The controls made it a little hard to navigate but it had really nice level design. Overall really impressive!

Hikikomori Simulator by yeojoey 2020-04-21T04:11:40Z

Very well done! It has a good aesthetic and mechanics and is overall fun. It feels a bit brutal though unless I'm missing something about how to get "good outcomes" from actions.

CRAZ by RexTGun 2020-04-21T07:52:14Z

Interesting game - trying to balance taking hits, attacking and consuming the blood. I also like the line of sight effect which makes it feel almost like hallways. I did find it frustrating wandering around trying to find the last enemy sometimes. Nice job overall.

Be THE DOG by ul0n 2020-04-22T11:17:25Z

Nice art, fun gameplay - really good overall. I liked the gradual increase in difficulty and the feeling of protecting someone else rather than just yourself in a twin stick shooter. Great job!

Keep Fe Chicken by ARBEX 2020-04-21T05:12:59Z

Very cute game. It starts with a simple idea and takes a little while to build up in complexity but it ends up requiring a bit of reflexes as well as puzzle planning. Great job!

LD48 — Deeper and deeper

Deepest Sword by Strega 2021-04-27T03:02:09Z

Super cute. I liked how the length of the blade made some tasks easier or harder when you returned to them. Great premise, excellent art, straightforward and fun - wonderful job overall!

Billy's Gone Again by KingOfNova 2021-04-27T02:01:19Z

Nice job! It's silly, fun and has a lot of character.

A Sinking Feeling by rpgfaker 2021-04-27T01:22:33Z

Great work! It has a solid atmosphere and the feeling of working under pressure (it gives me good memories of an old board game I love, Red November). I love the little touches like the warning light, the targeting radar popup, and the having the power go out sometimes. One note: I kinda wish you could multitask more (e.g. repair bars still fill for non-controlled characters). I kinda wish you had more time since I can see a lot of ways you may have wanted to take the game (flooding, opening doors to manage water flow, fires, etc). Awesome job~

Dog's Descent by EnderBit 2021-04-27T01:09:01Z

Very cute. I like the character and the feeling of swinging around to avoid the rocks. It seems like a good base of mechanics to work from if you had more time. Nice job!

Eva Power Plug Nap by Smelly Games 2021-04-27T01:50:32Z

Great Job! I love the fact that you used the visually striking UI from the show to make a game. The mechanics were totally fine and fit your theming well - it started off simple and gets more and more challenging to control all 3. I also like that it reminded me of the feeling of trying to meditate - constantly shaking off thoughts that are relentlessly assaulting me. A unique and enjoyable little game!

Deeper Into The Forest by siberpunk01 2021-04-29T00:31:45Z

The art is cute and it's overall very atmospheric. The gameplay is pretty basic but totally functional. Nice work~

Future Ants by TheTimesweeper 2021-04-27T02:53:51Z

Nice job~ I'm not sure what I was doing but I really liked the atmosphere and the ants in hats. The displaying of pheromones was pretty cool and I could imagine a more 'game-game' being made out of these base systems.

Flying! In Space! But with Asteroids! by Syrail 2021-04-27T01:56:11Z

I really liked the overall visuals and the vibe. I could picture it being fun trying to run around an juggle piloting and repairing - but it just wasn't fully there yet. It might have benefited from everything being slower and more methodical. Still, great job over all - I could totally see what you were going for.

Blue Beetle by Lélek Hunor Kadosa 2021-04-28T11:49:48Z

Nice job! It was fully functional and fun to play. I especially liked how you'd accidently dig into an area you weren't expecting when you miss hitting the enemies. It might also be fun to have the enemies shots be able to dig a little to let it feel a bit more chaotic.

Deeper and deeper idle by Foopy 2021-04-27T03:06:25Z

Impressive for a first game! The feeling of gradually getting more efficient is satisfying, though I wish the progress was a bit faster (my finger got tired) Great job~

Deep Sea Captain by Lucas de Carvalho Lorena 2021-04-27T01:04:26Z

It looks like maybe the link is wrong? It seems to point to "AVATAR - Desafio Elemental"
