1000 mph - The Breach by NostraDamon 2014-08-26T05:26:00
I spent a lot of time playing this game. It's simple but addictive.
Foon → Ludum Dare Explorer → Users → DeathPidgeon

I spent a lot of time playing this game. It's simple but addictive.
This is overall the most innovative game I've seen so far.
This game was a reasonable challenge. It was fun to play and took up a fair portion of time. It was a bit buggy, in some instances you could fall through the floor and bypass levels. The demon cows were very sensitive, sometimes it didn't seem like the took much to kill you. I liked the clouds and the music.
I like the graphics and the animation was very fluid.
This is an interesting game, seems very similar to another game I played on here. The graphics are pretty good and this definitely met the theme. Unfortunately, after figuring the game out, it didn't seem that challenging to play. It felt like I was just moving people and cargo around without any purpose or a need to overcome anything.
I like the concept, it was a creative way to meet the theme and it made for some good gameplay.
I can see you took a very literal interpretation of the theme. The graphics and the music are of very high quality. The game is sufficiently complex to make it interesting, however there is a learning curve, it took me several minutes to figure it out enough to start playing. There are some good humorous parts in the game, the description of the UNS Guugle: "A space ship that collect its passengers personal information but UNS says it is there to improve passenger experience" is a clever jab at Google and Facebook. The game does seem buggy, I had the game crash twice while creating a new route between planets.
How do you run your game? I installed the LUA interpreter but when I double click on main file a terminal window flashes then goes away.
It's always nice to see someone make a 3D game. It's impressive that you made an entire world like this in a weekend. I really liked the mood of the game, the limited distance you could see, the snow falling and the characters moving around fit the horror aspect. I found two of the keys before I fell of the map, it felt a lot like playing a FPS, except without the gun. I would have liked it better if you could have interacted with the characters flying around you.
This is like Kerbal Space Program meets pogo sticks. I like the retro '50s graphic design and game play. Took a little pratice to get used to the controls, I thought W and S were to accelerate and slow down respectively but it turned out all the keys were directional.
I can see a lot of potential in this game. Firstly this is very impressive for a game made in 48 hours, there's a physics simulator, a trading aspect and a combat aspect. It took a while to get used to the physic engine, trying to get a nice circular orbit within the yellow circle is very challenging, once I mastered that I went to ILKUOUC, where Silicon is a few credits cheaper, picked up two units and brought it back to UNQUHEX for a nice profit. It took a while for me figure out how to buy commodities (The buy key is 'D' not 'E'). Other than that it's a nice retro interstellar arbitrage game that can go far.
I like the detail you put into this game. The horror aspect was well done. It was hard to play though, I kept on getting killed by multiple shadows ganging up on me.
Chrome is blocking it because of malware.
That was a very avant garde game. It took me a few minutes to tell what the point was and and then after I won, it took a few minuted to realize. The lighting effects were nice and I think this fit the theme well.
Game is not loading, download bar loads all the way but then nothing happens.
I ate everything in the solar system then crashed into the sun. Kept me entertained.
The obstacles were varied and interesting. I liked the email obstacles, that gets 5 stars for humor. The game was challenging, I had trouble staying alive for a few seconds.
I can't believe you did this level of 3D graphics for a weekend game, incredible! I was able to take part in killing that daemon in the lava level, but was disappointed to see that he respawned after death. I like that you implemented multi-player gameplay.
This was an interesting approach to the theme. I liked the game play.
When I open it, a window immediately pops up and says LD30 stopped working.
This game was good for testing my mouse, MY MOUSE WORKS, YAY!
Reminds me a lot of Galcon, although more slow and it has more detail. Game play was slow at first but once I got more planets things picked up and it felt like I was pulling weeds. I eventually one, didn't see any bugs. Good job.
I had a lot of fun playing this. Didn't get very far though. It has complex set of upgrades but they aren't hard to understand though.
It was very difficult to keep a factory going for any period of time, and closing down demolishing a factory and building a new one else where was cheaper than repairing it and sending aid. It feels like you were trying to make a statement with this game.
