Interesting concept, quite ambitious to do multiplayer for a LD! Props for that.
I am pretty confused as to what is going on though, could use more feedback/guidance for the player.

Damn. I am a n00b at deploying OSX apps.
From the looks of it SDL_ttf and SDL_mixer did not end up inside of the application bundle. This means you may need to install them yourself first.
Luckily that is painless. You can retrieve the Framework (binary) from the official site:
http://www.libsdl.org/projects/SDL_ttf/
http://www.libsdl.org/projects/SDL_mixer/
Then place it in your /Library/Frameworks folder.
I will look into packaging this up again with the required frameworks if that is the issue.
Real men sort by ASCII value.
Because you complained, I removed the exclamation marks. There you go.
Nice VO, difficult as heck. I had trouble figuring out it was an avoider game for a while as the white circle is not too telling.
Solid though!
Beautiful visual style! Impressive amount of content for a LD game.
Sound was rather maddening though (I would prefer the suggestion of an alarm instead of an actual, alarm. The sound is rather alarming!)
Over all pretty cool entry!
PS (TakeThisTriangle now has a windows port :P http://www.ludumdare.com/compo/ludum-dare-20/?action=rate&uid=1129 )
Beautiful, especially the trees.
Easy to get stuck/confused due to destructible world.
Too difficult for a shooter nub like me, but looks great and is pretty satisfying (the minute of gameplay I can survive at least!)
Really dig the interstitial screens and the wing flap anim :)
Freaaaking hard though!
Fun.
Really interesting puzzle mechanic, I think it could be made into something quite involved and engaging. Takes a bit of thinking and some fuddling around to pass all of these! I like it.
Execution felt a bit rushed (kind of a silly criticism for LD, but still valid hah). Perhaps simplifying the idea down even further and focusing on fewer levels / less art could give a more complete feel.
Treees!
Hey I managed to get it to run on OSX (installed pygame, using default system python that is installed, added #!/usr/bin/env python to first line of DontGoAlone.py, removed the *.pyc files)
Something else must be borked though, it crashes out after a few seconds of play.
Really nice graphics and atmosphere. Strange physics. Thx!
Confusing, but interesting idea!
Heads up, I'm seeing some issues running this on different machines. Fix for those will be incoming shortly.
- screen size of 768x1024 doesn't fit well on MacBooks.
- Green/Blue color channels swapped on some Macs.
Fixed. OS/X and Source links are updated.
- fiddled with xcode/project settings to create an executable that should run on more machines.
- OpenGL/SDL fixed texture loading code to handle swapped RGBA channels.
Screen size is still 1024px tall. Sorry!
pretty big game for the time frame! nice work on content.
The dark screen was good for mood, but damaged my enjoyment. Lots of leaning into the screen squinting as the character turns slowly.
Also: +1 for being in Van. I am over in Vic right now :) Wahoo!
love it! genius.
Sound was weak, but better than silence!
Some sort of leap or roll could add an interesting element.
Sorry. Updated. Let me know how it goes!
- Coins give you pennies. these are most useful, as they show up as a number in the character panel.
- Stars yield experience.
- Cannons do damage
- The other things make interesting sounds I guess.
One feature I didn't get to was having the bunnies reproduce. I wanted to see a SWARM of bunnies destroying the buildings. That makes a lot more sense.
Very well executed. Ridiculously high level of polish. Well done. My only complaint is it runs pretty slow in my browser.
Please do write about your experience with the C++ -> JS. I'd love to be able to deploy stuff online, but I can't bear to leave my IDE/breakpoints/compiler/strongly typed language behind!
beef for kebabs.
Take time to explore all the customization options, and stat combinations.
(Also, this game was a collaboration between crackerblocks and myself. I don't quite understand how jam entries work on LD, not sure how to mark that / vote on crud. I'll be playing other peoples entries, even if I can't figure out how to vote on them!)
for starters, the Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution.
Slick graphics and nice feel. Reminds me a lot of the shinobi III level with the falling boulders.
Well done jam game!
Haha, love it!
I had a similar idea with my game actually :)
Doesn't seem to run. OS/X 10.6.8, safari or chrome.
Awesome!
Best.
Note quite complete, but still amazeballs in its current state. Well done.
Solid entry! Quite difficult for someone with no patience like me.
Could benefit from a bit more feedback on death, tuning of controls (acceleration/deceleration) and polish (PARTICLES AND SCREENSHAKE! OMG)
Awesome audio, really loved the music. Some SFX would bring it to the next level of awesome.
Well done!
