Short, but great atmosphere. Loved the pixel art style.

Short, but great atmosphere. Loved the pixel art style.
I know this is unfinished but it's such a cool base for a game! I thought it was cool the first time I dashed and knocked a body back with me. A lot of really nicely polished details like that, or the screenshake, paralaxed background, etc. It seems like there's only one level in the game right now, correct? After grabbing the files and making it back to my car and interacting again the game reset. I would love to see more levels like this. Felt kind of Hotline Miami mixed with Gunpoint. Really cool and well done even if it's unfinished!
Really like the sound and art for the shooting, felt very crunchy and satisfying to fire
Man, the polish on this is INSANE. Literally the only drawback to this is that it's lacking content, but the gameplay is top-tier, feels great. I had a lot of fun playing around in the one level. Really impressive for 48 hours to put together something so nice.
This is great. Wish there was a category for "Title", cuz this game NAILED it
Not a ton of content, but what's there feels good and is relatively polished. Good music and sound design, cohesive art style, and a fun way of implementing the theme.
The art and vibe was top notch. Was there only one level that just repeated? Seems a shame, you had nice mechanics and fantastic art. Or was I doing something wrong?
Good shooting sense and details such as broken glass or falling out scales add a lot to the atmosphere. The voices, pixel art and sound fx are nice too. Do a post-jam.
Would have liked more levels, but well done on the overall atmosphere. I can see this as a basis for a bigger game with the dialogue system, blood splatter, gun shots and glass breaking all already rather polished. Overall well done!
Cool graphics and sound style, everything is done thematically. The only problem is that if you are playing on the touchpad, you cannot press the left and right buttons at the same time.
I tried to find the end, but I guess it just keeps looping the same level ;).
I really like the art and the general atmosphere it creates along with the music. And the horse actually destroying the phone in animation is a great touch. I love such attention to detail, it brings a lot to the game.
Randomly switching the guns seems like a neat idea and a fun mechanic. For now, it really has little impact on the game. But if it could be fleshed out, I think it'd be quite cool - add some interesting confusion factor to this shooting galore.
Awesome job! This game is a lot of fun to play, the art is cool, and the combat is very satisfying. I'd love to see more levels of this game if you were going to continue development.
Very very impressive game! I mean, just the sheer amount of mechanics / features is kinda mindblowing: you have shooting, stealth, AI pathfinding, a dialog system... And on top of it nice visuals and audio. Not to mention how polished it all is, with all the juice, the bullet cassings, the rain, the breakable windows...
My only criticism would be that the usage of the theme isn't very central to the game. But it was nonetheless a very fun experience!
Brilliant. Great art, sounds, and world. I love that cover image.
Only wish it was longer.
The intro got me hooked from the beginning, very stylish art and atmosphere, only wish there were more levels, but you have a fun game at your hands!
it's suuuuuper short, but I get that sometimes programming takes so much time that there isn't any for creating levels. A solid foundation, where my only confusion is guns swapping at random and why the heck is jumping not space, but W :) Good one, was a pleasure to re-run this level several times.
Really great game feel. Highly polished, great graphics, great audio, and the shooting felt awesome. Just wish there were more levels and more challenge! Awesome job!
I'm glad you spent the time to polish a single level over adding a bunch more, I think it helps show your concept much better to have it that way.
The art is incredible (though I wish I could have seen the jam version, I didn't see where I could see the original) The sound is nicely done, and everything feels good.
My only complaints are that he feels a bit slow, but the powerslide helps with that somewhat.
Great work!
Short and sweet. Really reminded me of Gunpoint.
I think the visual style was on point and I liked where the game was headed. Like some others said, it did feel like the game was a bit slow. My main complaint, however, as a programmer, is that how was it easier to implement a timer to swap the guns than bind the same function to a key? It's not cool when you are firing an uzi and then, in the middle of a shootout, your gun changes to a pistol and you need to start clicking instead of holding down.
The "shadows" were a bit odd too. Given that the shadows seemed to represent the player's field of vision, I would have expected the area that I didn't see to be, well, more dark or entirely invisible to me. I really didn't know if they were supposed to be a line of sight / field of vision indicator, or shadows. But, this is really a relatively small issue.
It was a thoroughly enjoyable game and I'd be interested in playing more of it. Good work everyone!
Super fun! Great job on polishing each system in the game, just hoping for more levels!
Short and absolutely fun. Love the great pixel art and the crunchy feeling. I'd love to play more. Thanks team!
A nice base for a game. Loved the pixel art here and the sound effects. The stealth system was a little rudimentary but for what this game is, it's definitely polished and damn nice that you were able to do it within the constraints of the jam.
That was pretty cool. Hopefully you pick it up and make more levels for it. Well done getting that made in the timeframe
I played it twice, and downloaded to play again later. If that doesn't explain how much I enjoyed playing this, I don't know what would. Funny concept, and the art is f-ing glorious. Gameplay is simple, but solid. Very fun, and hope you'll continue to develop it.
This is a fantastic example of each member of a small team putting their experience and styles together to create something absolutely amazing. Great job, team!
Woww very juicy, very fun! Really wish there was more!! I loved everything from the music to the sounds to the design. I hope you guys decide to expand more on this game, it feels like it can have great potential :D Also I think having the gun randomise randomly kinda works in a way for the theme haha. Overall, great submission!! I'm really glad I got to play this C:
Love to break this damn windows since gunpoint =) Good work!
This game was really fun to play - well done! I loved the effects on the guns - it felt great to shoot, and all the little things like the magazines falling out, the screenshake, it all added up to make it very engaging and fun. Shooting the windows was entertaining as well - I'd love to see more destructible environments like that. The guns all felt different from one another too, with the different sounds and all, which added some variety. I loved the graphics as well, the city background looked so good without looking noisy or getting in the way of the foreground, good job on that! The little animation of you dropping your burner phone was also a good addition. I'd love to see this expanded upon, it looks to have a lot of potential - great work!
