YOOOOO THIS IS SO COOL! I love the graphics, the story, the art, everything is just amazing! Clammy is adorable! If you plan on expanding this game in the future, can you maybe add a function where you can skip the cutscenes/dialogue? Other than that, WOW! 8.7/10.
10/10!
@chesschaser :flushed: wow, thanks!

Haha, wow this was fun! I jumped right in!
Great job!
I love the 8-bit music and is that a duck! A duck saving a volcano from erupting?!
cool game I really like the idea, had to restart multiple times to even get anywhere lol, the art/music combo fits pretty well too, good job!
Cool game ;)

the game is very interesting. And i suggest that you may let the time stop decreasing when players are in dialogue.Anyway a good job!
This was great! I LOOOVED the artstyle and the duck is absolutely adorable! The music fits like a hand in a glove and the theme is on point. It felt puzzling at times but that made the "Aha"-moment that much more rewarding!
Very cool game. The animations are also nice. Good job!

Really cool and fun game! I took me a while to notice the little rat island between the start and the volcano, only after that I could reach the end.
Nice clean art style and interesting take on the theme. Nice work!
This is great! Very cute art style, and story. Play time was perfect for a jam, and the game just felt well put together. Simple and satisfying. Definitely reminded me of Outer Wilds!
Cute little game! The pixel art is adorable and I love the duck. <3 I had a little trouble figuring out what to do - I didn't realize I could go off screen at first. But overall very nice!

Actually very solid and well-made! Great work! 🙂
This is such a cute game!! And honestly, I think LD needs more simple, plot-based games like this one that don't rely on convoluted mechanics. It was a blast (and so did the volcano, many times). There are so many comments pointing out the well-deserved adorable energy this game has, so here are a few tiiiny nitpicks that I thought might make the game even more lovely.
The volcano explosion noise was kiinda loud when compared to the other sound effects in the game; I'd recommend lowering the volume a bit, especially since it occurs a number of times. (It got slightly frustrating when I would have to hear it again every time I would die from not being able to hold my breath long enough. This was before I discovered the magic of scuba pig.) There were also a few moments where I missed dialogue because I'd interacted with a character riight before the volcano erupted (and the dialogue continued through the eruption animation), so I had to interact with them again. Those are tiny, though, and didn't detract from the game's fun vibe. Great job overall!
Gonna type this up as I play:
1- off the bat I just wanted to say that having arrows move and only one interact button is good. A big mistake I see is games getting way too complicated, especially for a jam. My only thoughts are you should have alternative controls, like WASD as well.
2- Jesus, that volcano scared me.
3- Music is charming. A little relaxing considering a volcano is going to explode, but I still like it.
4- It seems there's some problems with detecting when the duck is on/off land?
5- Took me a while to figure out I had to go down, there wasn't really any indication that it was an option, and the down arrow after that is sort of misleading.
6- The volcano going off every time gets a bit tedious, a skip cutscene option would be nice.
7- The text is too small and pixelated to read. It's also a bit tedious to have to wait for NPC dialogue on replays, or if you accidentally talk to them twice.
8- Okay, beat the game. Not sure how jumping in the volcano stopped it. Was I a sacrifice to Pele?
Anyway, cute game. It took a bit of trial and error and guesswork, but it does it's job. An unstable volcano is an interpretation of the theme I hadn't thought of, and haven't seen anyone else do either.

What a tale of sacrifice!
Ducky~
Okay okay volcano I GET IT you're going to explode, you don't have to remind me every minute...
This was short but cute. Some quality of life adjustments might be nice (mainly just having to sit through the volcano rumbling so often), but other than that it was enjoyable despite being simple! Kind of like a lite version of Minit.
@lunacyecho Thank you! I'd played Sokpop's "pocket watch" game recently, and was really inspired by the minimalist nature of the game! :)
Like the style, but there are things I don't really like tbh. The main one, you can't skip dialogs, and the timer is still on. Also the oxygen for the duck / goose? cmon :) Anyways, prettty nice game! Thanks!
@leokrechmer Sorry, but the oxygen meter is a key part of the game
Lovely! I ensured to explore the whole sea to check if you hide a secret island  Did... the duck... sacrifice itself in the end???
I finally managed to finish the gameplays and uploaded the game session for this game. I hope you like it and that my comments can be understood as those most interested in enabling improvements to the project.
Thank you for requesting this gameplay!
