Wow your game look like engaged and I like that good luck

moonlightbomber 2018-08-13 01:56

The way "Climate Change Wins" is voiced makes me want to add a "Fatality" sound bit after that.

lars-erik 2018-08-13 20:34

Beautiful little game. My wife actually pitched the idea to me on friday night, but I don't have nearly as good skills with 3D. Love the simplicity, yet it looks quite realistic. Totally love the fatality and dystopia.

hagge 2018-08-15 10:22

Best game

crafty-mine 2018-08-15 14:03

One of the cutest games i have ever seen.nice charecter design and good message.create less carbon world! Good luck🍀

paulo-augusto 2018-08-15 14:05

nice project man, nice gameplay, i like it

swini 2018-08-15 14:06

Wooow one of the best games. the theme fits soo good with climate change and running out of space. thumbs up!

marcel-egle 2018-08-15 14:27

I really liked the end scene with the titanic melody and zooming out camera ^^

devio 2018-08-15 15:03

Fun and highly addictive, I gave you some examples of stream how to deal with the "Running out memory" Though a pun in itself.

Good simple graphics portray the game nicely, and the humour of "climate change wins" had me smiling. Well done and good job.

eclahn 2018-08-15 15:04

The music caught me off guard. Well played. I liked it. Fun and gets to the point.

do-the-dog-avc 2018-08-15 15:20

*Makes the worst jump in polar bear history*. "Climate Change Wins.

Great game. I was getting "out of memory" issues on Firefox though.

diesdas 2018-08-15 15:25

@do-the-dog-avc thanks for the feedback, currently trying to solve the memory issue (only happening on WebGL)

andrei9 2018-08-15 15:25

:) Cool game !

chocolat-endive 2018-08-15 15:44

500+ points 520.png (you have to go to the left)

That's a cool game with a nice theme! Some music and different sound effects could have been great. Good job with this little game, it works really well.

I love the "heavy" jump of the bear. :D

ditzel 2018-08-15 15:47

HEY! YOU STOLE MY IDEA! .. just kidding. I have the same sub theme "climate change" and the idea of melting ice. Our games have something in common. As soon as my penguin or your bear gets into the water, the game is over. Even though the animals can swim :bear: :penguin:

monetai 2018-08-15 15:48

Really fun and cool, but it make me want to cry ='(

maximebou 2018-08-15 16:03

Concept is very good, make a great game with not much, I just ... I don't know if it's a bug but when I come back on my feet I loose point, If it's not maybe you can explain that on the menu.

Very good job.

Ps : I make 492 points and I ragequit ^^

haustgeirr 2018-08-15 16:05

Fun game, depressing theme. I liked the minimalist art style a lot.

diesdas 2018-08-15 16:24

@chocolat-endive You're a true hero! I wonder what the absolute maximum is. Since the level is generated, I have no idea, but I suspect that you can't get over 600.

diesdas 2018-08-15 16:26

@maximebou In order to keep it fast paced, the score increases the farther you move away from the start position, thats why your score can also decrease if you move towards the start! Could be more obvious, so thanks for the feedback! 492 is really good

sammy6 2018-08-15 16:35

This game is great! the gameplay is fun, and that music really makes me feel bad for all those animals. I like that the area is the same every time. but how could you possibly get 500? the most I could get was 472, even after about 50 tries! Anyways, Awesome job!

diesdas 2018-08-15 17:21

@ditzel I guess melting ice was a pretty obvious interpretation of the theme, so there are even more games with that setting. Going to try your version soon :)

ghust1995 2018-08-15 17:22

Very nice entry, I have only one major critique: a scoring system makes no sense in the narrative, once I ignored it and just roamed around I finally could feel the climate change winning, specially in the *spoiler*

Great idea

atillagallio 2018-08-15 17:22

The end was very sad :(

diesdas 2018-08-15 17:25

@ghust1995 thanks for the feedback, I share the opinion that it doesnt make much sense in the narrative, but I wanted to create an incentive to move and also give "competitive" gamers a challenge

bigbosserndog 2018-08-15 17:50

Pretty sweet simple game! Wish there was more obstacles to keep things interesting. The jump is a little short and quick and difficult to use. But good job! Played a few times, I can see how with a little more polish this can be very addictive.

sobakaduka 2018-08-15 18:13

"Climate change wins"

twinghosts 2018-08-15 18:19

Loved your game man! Awesome idea and it feels well polished. Clean animations, graphics and gameplay. Also, the music is beautiful especially when you know youve fucked up!

The jumping felt a bit wonky at times, wouldve been nice to see the depth a bit better because i cant really feel whether im going to make it!

Love it :D

hare-software 2018-08-15 18:41

When the music started playing, a smile started growing on my face while I slowly moved toward certain doom. The game-over screen made me laugh, so it certainly does have humor. Really fun concept and you managed to pull it off really well, congrats on your game!

edugpinheiro 2018-08-15 18:56

One of the funnier ideas on this Ludum Dare. Simple mechanic, simple gameplay and simple chance to save a polar bear of total annihilation by climate change... that all will perish someday, if things keep the same in our planet (damn you, fossil fuels!). I had a little of a instability on my notebook running the game, but I think that happens perhaps by the way you manage the glaciers. Nothing that spoiled the fun, not at all. My only objective point to change was the color of the polar bear, in the beginning is kind of a glimpse of a bear in all the whitish environment. I would consider giving a more distinct shade of gray to both the bear and the ice, to facilitate the player enjoyment. Enough said, GREAT entry to the Jam!

mike-inprinciple 2018-08-15 18:59

I think this is one of the best narrative drive games in the jam so far, and it gets there without using words. You feel the oppression of your living space shrinking as you play, and at some point, you simply have to accept your inevitable and tragic fate.

firesplash-entertainment 2018-08-15 19:12

Thanks for submitting this game to our stream! Enjoyed playing it. ANd thanks for taking up on the climate change topic!

nufflee 2018-08-15 19:35

The game looks really good! I really like the art style of the ice "platforms" though the collisions are a bit wonky. Great job!

boopsgames 2018-08-15 19:35

I LOVE the zooming out with "titanic-esque" music playing when you're floating away on a small piece of ice, waiting for the inevitable.

GOOD JOB!

toster 2018-08-15 19:46

Nice game :)

only issue i have is that you can actually fall into the water while jumping on ice.

Like the concept.

shozou 2018-08-15 20:40

One thing I didn't like was how... white the snow was. If I would be playing in the dark I'm sure it would burn out my eyes, that's how bright it was ;) Nice cover by the way! The humor was really off the charts on this one. Thank you for making the game and linking it to me!

erebus 2018-08-15 22:26

Great presentation! Thanks for bringing it by the stream!

hannes-rahm 2018-08-17 09:23

Really fun game. Like the graphics style and the death-prompt made me laugh :) GG! Keep it up!

kobrar 2018-08-19 19:21

I am not fond of how the point system can take away your points if you go the wrong direction. Points are not the point here, but still.

I like the theme and execution. Ending is a very nice touch :) I would love to see more games like this.
