Interesting game. The visuals stood out to me the most, superb job on that part! The camera shake and reactions of the people were great for immersion. If only there were sound effects for actions like the stomping or villagers crying out it would be even better! There was never really a reason that the spaces between houses / people got smaller rather than it being a game which was kind of off putting, but it still does match the theme. Music was done really well, something about it just matched how your playing as a massive giant. The gameplay was also pretty fun even if this is a common game concept as it is unique in its approach to it with the giant trying to avoid hurting people. At first I thought the objective was to destroy the most people / buildings though! Instructions inside the game never hurt. Solid game nonetheless, really great job keep it up.

Very nice. The graphics are gorgeous and the Idea is great.
It's also fun to turn the theme around, and just destroy everything :D
Very well done. You should refine it with some sound effets and release it.
Cheers.

Hey! beatuful sound and visuals, fun to play, that giant cheated with some houses not being hit but who knows how giants actually work anyway? Brilliant game :)

Pretty nice game concept and mechanics! Cool graphics!
Cool concept! For tutorial purposes, there could have been some introduction text in the game as well. Good job overall!

Thanks for the feedback! We agree with the sound effects and the in-game explanatory text, but we didn't have any time left. We'll finish the game in the near future and use all the feedback we got from you all!

Fun. For my first 2 tries I tried to kill all the people. =D Generally, it's interesting, and the concept is good. Good Job!

I loved this game !!! very addictive and fun.
Very fun game, I feel bad because my instict was to smash all the houses and then I read the instructions.... It's a little bit glitchy if I try to step too soon - the giant will just wait until he can smash a house, very strange. Otherwise the concept worked well and the presentation is awesome!

I know I was _supposed_ to avoid crushing houses, but I really liked the destruction effects so it was very tempting.
I laughed like a maniac the first few minutes I was playing, because it took me a little bit to understand the controls and I kept squishing those poor villagers.
That was a nice entry, good job

I was confused for the first round because of no instructions but soon got addicted. Wonderful graphics and funny audios. Couldn't expect more!

A good game idea, the music should be improved. The graphics are good. Try our game too, maybe you'll like it)

Aah I crushed a lot of people! Had so much fun playing this. The graphics and animations look good, and I like the destruction of the houses. The idea itself is quite funny and creative. Good work!

Really funny idea, and good graphics and music. The only complaint I have is that the game get a bit slow when you stomp something (my guess is that it's the particle effect).

Thanks, @shujal indeed the crushing of the house it what it makes it lag a bit. We’re still working on ways to fix this.
Great game and interesting concept :D Enjoyed the art style as well!

Cute idea and take on the theme. Animation and art are on point, and I think this is a pretty funny take on "running out of space", as much as a good take on EndlessRunner type of games. I would have liked some sound effects but I'm pretty sure you ran out of time to make them, so that's okay. Overall you did a pretty good job, well done !

@demn Jeah, we ran out of time for the sound effects... They are actually in there but the code to trigger them is missing.
Liked your take on the theme, it's quite original. I didn't saw the reputation bar at first so I wish it was more visible or shown at the begining of a game. I really enjoyed the graphics and the music is cool. I guess it would be even better if we had some sound effects to reinforce the gameplay. Lots of robbers I encountered weren't killable as they were always around other people or buildings. Overall a solid entry, great job!

@red-pill Like most of us :P still solid, keep smashing people!

Interesting idea, maybe the reputation is a bit secondary and you could focus on the stepping,, adding sfx and all, it feels good but it could feel great. the music was nice but a bit repetitive. Otherwise I really enjoyed it !

The game is fun in itself, and I tried to play more for a high score. I like there are no text explaining what the bar means. I filled the gap with my imagination.

Nice that you enjoyed it! Agree on the reputation bar @skyc and @mrsylar59 I was working on that when we ran out of time.
I know the aim of this game was not to squish things, but you had to go and make squishing things so stupidly fun that I couldn't help myself. The graphics are cute, the music is catchy (if a little repetitive after a while) and it's a unique take on the theme, even if I feel as though you are stretching it a little. My only real complaint is that I didn't realise for the first couple of attempts that I had to hold down the spacebar to properly stomp and I was a bit confused as to why I kept gliding forward after tapping it. A short tutorial screen or similar might help, though perhaps just adjusting the timing a little on the button press would work just as well. A good entry that I'm glad you shared with me, I had fun.

Great game. It would be nice if I knew how many "things to not destroy" i had before losing.
Awesome game ! All 5 ! I made it to 803m, my computer had some lags :(
Cool idea indeed. Played until 600m and then realized that it's progressing a bit slowly to be honest and could have used some more diverse elements but nevertheless congrats this is fun!
Cool game! I agree with others feedback. And with the reputation bar my suggestion is to make it more visible changing the colors and to show negative numbers when the player destroy things. I think that doing that there is no need to create a tutorial. Nevertheless, great idea!
Great game! At the first run, I thought I had to destroy as many things as possible ... I quickly realized that the target of the game was exactly the opposite!
Yeah, that was a fun small game! ^^
The lag of the foot coming down takes some getting used to.
I liked the ambiguity of not really knowing, whether I "should" step on the gallows and thieves .... but then again, maybe I should have read the explanations better. xD
I also liked the graphics and the background song.
The animation is schweeeeet! The music is good as music, but I could have done with some olden time instrumentation. Still, it's two cuts above repetitive placeholder music. Some smashing noises or the giant saying "oops! sorry!" for the post-jam version, yeah? I also gave high marks for innovation; I haven't seen a game with this story or mechanic before.

@wrenpirate jeah we will! Sound effects is first on the list of improvements!
This game was hilarious! I loved the concept so much and it was a blast to play! The physics were well done too. Thanks for sharing this with my stream! Here's a link to the vod: https://www.twitch.tv/videos/297479036?t=01h58m46s

Please clearly mark that the link as "POST-JAM VERSION", and provide a separate link to the jam version. Making improvements to your game after 72h is encouraged, but it is the 72h version which is being scored.
At first i thought i was supposed to stomp things, then, after a bit, i thought "gentle giant" and corrected my earlier mistake of stomping peoples brains out on purpose.
Overall a very complete game, fun, polished, cohesive, funny, addicting, I'm impressed... It was so simple and so fun/funny... once you started to get a few quick back to back stomps, see the leg come down, hear the grunts, you could really picture this giant walking about, and sympathies with him. so much character, and so simply.
Well Done!

@gelisam thanks for the tip! We've updated our links!
@acuriosity Sometimes stomping peoples brain out is what we do too ;) it is so addicting!
As usual: never read instructions! So on the first attempt, I crushed everything and got an instant GAME OVER. Then I read instructions and got pretty far :) Tutorial is a must (I played Jam version because the link to Post-Jam version doesn't work). I liked how you took the familiar runner mechanics and applied the theme to it. Graphics are super nice!

Woops... @roman-petrov thanks for the heads-up. Should be fixed now!
I think I need a version of this game were you actually HAVE to destroy things. Nice game, congratulations!
Oh, no! So much screaming in the post-jam version! I now understand what the reputation bar is, but it's hard to keep track of that while I'm watching my step. The screaming and grunting doesn't give me any indication of the value of stepping on a barrel or a post versus on a building or a person. I still think this game is hilarious, but I prefer it without so much random screaming. (Or was I just ruining everyone's lives the whole time?)
Very fun game and unique idea. Surprised to see a card game for this theme. Took me a few tries to be able to beat it. I also enjoyed the music. Great job.
Interesting game and idea. the art and music were nice too.Nice job.
Great idea for this Jam! I enjoyed embracing my inner giant on this one :D This game is very polish and you should be proud. Well done!
