Nice, solid effort! The amount of precision needed for some of the jumps from the second form onward was kind of frustrating, but still technically doable enough that I finished.

siondream 2012-08-27 13:33

Nice one! I love the art style and the simplicity of it. Although... are you left handed? Controlling the jumps towards the end with WASD proved itself to be quite complicated. Besides that, great :-D.

+1 for libgdx (arrived from Mario's retweet)

saguaro 2012-08-28 01:56

I really liked the dreamy quality of this. Very nice.

jwin 2012-08-28 02:09

The jumping seemed a bit imprecise at times, but I really liked the style of your game.

gamblore 2012-08-28 02:16

Wish it used the arrow keys instead of wasd. The sprint jumps would be much easier to do if you could use two hands.

Cool visual effects. Solid platformer.

metadept 2012-08-28 02:17

Good use of minimal graphics, tasteful sound, and overall smooth experience. After getting the 'power' chest, the platform pushed me into the wall and I got stuck, so that was as far as I got. My only criticism up to that point is that it's a bit awkward holding left shift while using WASD. All in all a very good entry.

savethejets1 2012-08-28 02:20

I really like the Graphics.

The part where you move the blocks was neat.

The jumping was a little difficult though, but once I got used to it, it was pretty easy.

Nice work!

davidemo89 2012-08-28 02:52

fun game =) gratz. Liked a lot the art

benw 2012-08-28 03:16

I love the fade effect when you die. I found some of the platforming to be a bit tedious but I did manage to finish it.

alface 2012-08-28 04:01

Good game! =)

cakencode 2012-08-28 04:40

Very lovely game! I loved the way the music and the atmosphere really worked together. You had inquired if it may have been too hard, and I really don't think it was that hard at all. :) I did wish that the arrow keys went with movement as well (since I'm right handed and prefer working with arrows over WASD) and that the intro was skippable. I know that last one is minute, but it's just a thought. :) Great work for 48 hours! The art is lovely in its minimalism!

timsterstudios 2012-08-28 05:00

This is actually one of my favorite games. The art was great; the simplicity was great; the music was really minimalist and worked well with the theme of it. And I loved your interpretation of the theme.

sfernald 2012-08-28 05:49

Just shows you have effective games can be with such simple graphics. It's all about style. The music really helps set up the oddness of the game. Platforms and jumping were a tad annoying though. Seems a little tough and repetitive. Good game though.

drabiter 2012-08-28 11:48

The effects, camera, and running text are working nice :) Just litle hard at some points.

mortalwombat 2012-08-28 13:17

Hey! It was really interesting playing your entry, because we took quite a similar approach to the theme.
I love how you set up the mood through your graphics and music and I realized while playing that I should have gone for something similar, especially music wise.
The only things that bothered me were movement and controls. Movement didn't feel very polished or balanced and you could have easily added the arrow keys to your control scheme (just as I should have added WASD :D).

I liked it a lot and I would love to hear what you think about my game... they compare quite nicely. :)

oceanspud 2012-08-28 19:28

Overall good game. Note with the "Sprint" Evolution; in mid air after you jump slowly if you hold shift you will sprint in mid air which should not be the case. Make it to where you only move fast in mid air if you push jump and sprint at the same time

ratking 2012-08-28 20:03

Beautiful game, but the jumping was some kind of hard. Smaller gaps would be nice at the beginning.

buttercupsaiyan 2012-08-28 20:06

The signs and little text comments and flagposts are really helpful.

codesavage 2012-08-29 03:40

Very enjoyable game, I like the art style quite a bit on this one. Played the whole way through, no regrets. :)

The only part that got a bit frustrating was when I had to sprint-jump onto several small one-block platforms. I fell many times, was quite happy when I finally got to that flag on the other side. ;)

conflictivelabs 2012-08-29 06:37

Top-notch game. I had a little problem with it though. Died first without reaching a checkpoint and was left in the void. Restarted the game and survived to the first checkpoint, then everything went smoothly. Love the mood, the music (although minimalist it works) and the graphics. Platforms has always been difficult for me, so I didn't make it too far into the game, but I loved what I played.

saintheiser 2012-08-29 15:22

Good story, good game =) I like visuals and gameplay. It reminds me one of my games which I made in this year. Only bad thing with your game is audio. I really disappointed with audio, sorry. But game is cool anyway =)

jezzamon 2012-08-31 23:47

Interesting graphically.

Not very evolutiony though

csanyk 2012-09-08 16:26

Very well done. I'd like to play this with a gamepad, as WASD+left shift is really tough for me to control well. The precision jumping is very tough.

azurenimbus 2012-09-17 23:43

This is a great entry, one of my favorites. Really good job :) I haven't finished yet, but saved it for later!
