Cool! Penguins rulz! ^_^
Nice game! It could get better if improve a little the controls
I like the idea here, and the shrinking ice platform is really cool. I didn't expect the whale to show up, either. It was really not fun until I realized you could hold the mouse down to fire continually, and then I wondered why you didn't just auto-fire all the time. Once I did that, it was more fun, and the upgrade system was cool (although with no penalty for dying, why buy health?). It was frustrating that I shot from somewhere left of my actual penguin, too - made it hard to aim sometimes. But a neat idea, with much more complexity than it initially seemed to have.
@DaveDobson
Great ideas!
Pretty solid. Penguins are awesome.
Came for the penguin. Stayed for the upgrades.
This could easily translate to something cool if polished more and added some new stuff to it.
I liked the difficulty curve, and at first I thought the game was done after the first death but noticed there's the upgrade screen, so I played a few times more :D
Liked the graphics, sound effects were okay, but it was missing a background track, which kicks the mood a bit. Overall, a fun game :D
Good controls, a nice mechanic of increasing risk / tension. Good rewards as well. It'd be good to have a bit more feedback when hitting the blimps, but good effort all round, the complete article!
веселье, и отличное использование крошечного мир!
Only a few minor things that were confusing but I'm sure you know this. I played for some time and enjoyed it.
Cute concept! It seemed like some of the bombs took more hits to destroy than I could possibly fire in time, and I didn't appreciate the "purchase upgrades" feature, but I liked the variety of enemies and the whole idea of a penguin defending his iceberg. Not sure how he's shooting though. :p
I really enjoyed the concept, and the upgrades and variety in enemies were great!
Penguins! :) I had some fun with your game! I just want to know who the jerks are that are dropping bombs on a penguin who just wants to sit on an iceberg! :P
Fun game, very nice.
*checks clock*
crap.
Very nice! Finally, a game that realistically depicts the sheer awesomeness of the penguins, and their struggle against nature's natural bombers, the cruel whales! :)
The controls are tight and very responsive, and the action is fun. I missed some more variety of enemies/dangers, though. And a two players version would be awesome: a seal and a penguin fighting it out for supremacy over the iceberg amidst a rain of bombs! Dramatic!! :D
Congratulations!
Nice entry!
Cool one! Played it 'till I had the Gun lvl 3 and it rocked :-) Nice shrinking island idea. You can build on this if you ask me!
Wow! This type of game addicts me easily!
I loved to upgrade my penguin! =)
I liked the upgrade feature, it was fun :)
I'd like to destroy the zeppelins :P
I didn't understand what was the purpose of the red bar in the corner.
Penguin Power...I got stuck a lot though...Love the particles, nice penguin drawing too.
Cool little game!
I liked the upgrade feature. I imagine that the game would be very repetitive without it. It took a little while to figure out that youre not supposed to shoot the zeppelins though.
Still, good job.
I wasn't able to shoot the zeppelins, they just kept bombing me. :(
Neat game, but hard to play. I couldn't kill any of the airships (can you kill them) and it was hard to kill the bombs too. Also, a little hard to play with a trackball/no mouse.
Just when I thought it was one dimensional, boom upgrades!
It's fun! Reminded me of a newspaper story about curious penguins that look at airplanes with so much attention they end up falling on their backs.
Also, penguins and no linux version? What a tease. :)
