| Apr 16 08:53:13 | Code Summonary | ♥ 2 | A really impressive intro. The concept is great and practical. It turned out that you can only take 5 power-ups at the same time. There might be some bug that an invisible enemy blocks the way and you cannot either move nor attack. It is still a nice entry for your first jam! | |
| Apr 16 09:14:10 | 20m 57s | From Above | ♥ 4 | At first, it might be a little unclear that different enemy drops different power-ups. Then I found it really strategic after noticing that. The different enemy waves might be a little too imbalanced. I got easily overwhelmed whenever I choosed the red enemy. In spite of that, the gameplay is solid and goes well with the theme. It could be better if the base had more hit points. Nice entry after all! |
| Apr 17 09:52:37 | 24h 38m | See You Again | ♥ 1 | I really like the twist of the story. I didn't get it at first but I eventually deduced the identity of the deceased from the rules of summoning. From a story perspective it is really well executed, especially for a compo game! |
| Apr 17 10:02:50 | 10m 13s | Demon Keys | ♥ 1 | Wow that's a really polished little game. You've made the cutest demon I've seen in this event, which is literally full of demons. XD The music as well as the sound goes really well with the art style. Impressive! |
| Apr 17 10:49:20 | 46m 30s | Guitar of the Undead | ♥ 1 | I made it to beat the game. XD It turned out that spawning lots of notes while moving was a good tactic. 7.png As for the game itself, I found out some bug that the hit boxes of the skeletons just didn't unload when I restarted the game, making it an invisible obstacle. And I had to refresh the whole page to make it correct. The concept of a maze + rhythm + tactic gameplay is great after all. |
| Apr 17 11:14:22 | 25m 02s | Toad-O-Mental | ♥ 2 | The cat is just soooooooooo cute and I LOVE the Live2D animation. The gameplay is also solid and fun. Nice entry! |
| Apr 17 11:42:08 | 27m 46s | A Dearth of Cats | ♥ 2 | I love the idea that summoning a demon cat 🐈 . The scene is rich in details which adds to the mood. I feel sorry to hear that one of you got sick. Hope you get well soon! |
| Apr 17 12:31:23 | 49m 15s | Riot in Hell | ♥ 2 | Such an engaging game. I spent quite a lot of time playing it XD. Definitely fun. It would have been even better if there was some audio. It is still an amazing entry after all. |
| Apr 17 12:55:36 | 24m 13s | The Adventures of a Shaman DEMO! | ♥ 1 | It's quite rare to have such complicated scenes in a JAM game, especially for a single-person team, nice work! I was scared by the texture of NPCs though. Some of them look like alternates. XD I once wondered why that I finished the playthrough but I didn't see the colorful trees in the screenshot. After a few attempts I fingered out that the scene is real-time generated and the trees are random. |
| Apr 17 16:44:11 | 3h 48m | Luna's Ritual | ♥ 2 | Impressive graphic and mood. I like it so much. The bullet hell of the enemies looked quite hard but I turned out that the character had much more hp than I expected. XD Amazing work after all. |
| Apr 17 17:09:34 | 25m 23s | POLLY | ♥ 2 | Gorgeous art style and mechanics! You've been really effective that you made such much progress in a short period of time! A very impressive and potential demo. I can't wait to see the whole game. XD |
| Apr 17 17:41:29 | 31m 55s | Summon Spree | ♥ 1 | At first I thought that it was an agility game which requires player to play 3 games at the same time. But it is not. It might be better if these games can be conbined in a more innovative way? It does show your undertanding of the theme from different prespective after all. It is a good point that you've implemented three different games within the time of one JAM. And they just work well. XD Nice work. |
| Apr 17 19:01:35 | 1h 20m | Summon-a-Spot | ♥ 1 | I like the car control. It feels smooth but challenging at the same time. XD Solid level design and content. Nice work! |
| Apr 18 07:25:37 | 12h 24m | Imp Unsummoning | ♥ 1 | I think I have beaten the game since I passed a relatively hard level and entered an empty level. 🎊 The content is much richer than I expected and I enjoyed these high quality puzzles. I really like the strategy of combining the Ghost rune and the Piercing rune and sniping two different imps across the map (saving a crucial Bolt rune in the last level). As for the collision system, there might be some bugs that bolts always go to the right-hand side after bouncing back off a wall. However, it doesn't matter that much since I can still beat the levels without using Bouncing runes. Despite the simple graphic, the sound effect is just fascinating. I really like it. Nice work after all! |
| Apr 18 08:04:17 | 38m 40s | Mage Matrix | ♥ 2 | Yaaaay all three crystals! 🎊 (except the last level which caused a crash when finished) 55742.png The puzzles are really well-designed to optimize the moves. And the content is absolutely rich for a JAM game. The graphics, audio and control are all well-polished. This is my favorite entry so far. Nice work! |
| Apr 18 11:30:03 | 3h 25m | Euclid's Elementals | ♥ 5 | Wow the concept is absolutely amazing! It is rare to see a math puzzle game here. I didn't really get the machanics how the sigils and lines fade away. They just got easily destroyed by the overwhelming element enemies. But I managed to get a score above 100. 240418190452.png I drew a tutorial of generating 90 degree angles **for other players**. If you are struggling about geometry, you can take a look! 418191217.png By the way, there is SOMETHING... 40418184453.png Float point error! Euclid's disaster! XD It doestn't matter that much though, since the problem itself is not numerically stable. After all 10 out of 10 innovative. Excellent work! |
| Apr 18 14:54:49 | 3h 24m | Summoning Shift | ♥ 1 | Fascinating soundtrack! It was really cool to hear two different remixed versions of the soundtrack in the title screen and in the game levels. It also fits the art style very well, providing the entire game an immersive feel. I wondered if I can upgrade the speed of my fireball though. It seemed that upgrading the fireball doestn't really have any effects? I wish there was more end-game upgrades. It is still an excellent game after all. Nice work! |
| Apr 18 16:57:51 | 2h 03m | The Wickedness | ♥ 1 | Wow you've made such a great game here in 72 hours! The scene is rich in details. The art style and atmosphere also reminded me of Inscryption. It might be even better than the Ludum Dare version of Inscryption. I like turn-based tactic games and I'm really glad to see a game like this. Although the branch summoning skill may be too powerful to some extent. I can stop half of the skeletons by simply letting one dendroid keep summoning branches around itself and the hut every turn, like this: B B B H D B B B B No enemies can break through this. Then I can defeat every enemy with the rest of my units. Well I'm not complaining about the mechanics since this will change if more enemies and units are added. Just because the game is so awesome that I can hardly find some useful advice. XD By the way I really like the animation of the hut. Nice work! |
| Apr 18 17:39:57 | 42m 06s | Gods of the Forest | ♥ 1 | I didn't expect to see such a complete and detailed story in a gamejam. The game as a whole is solid and literally has what it needs. Excellent work! The mechanics that icicle spears can freeze water is actually intuitive to me, since the narration said that the god can "freeze the sea with single touch". Might be a bonus for those who read the text carefully. I also figured out the technique to stack multiple rising wind spell to perform a crazy jump. XD |
| Apr 18 18:50:39 | 1h 10m | Hell Spawn | ♥ 3 | I love the art style of this game. The character is super cute. And the design of scenes is also fascinating! The concept of carefully leading helps from demons is indeed a good point. As for the gameplay, it was fun to discover the demonic face of each familiar. The cute sounds also made it less frustrating when I got killed by them. XD Nice work! |
| Apr 19 05:26:53 | 10h 36m | resown | ♥ 1 | What a beautiful and atmospheric game! It reminds me of Celeste, in a positive way of course. I'm using a keyboard so I had a hard time when I started playing this game. But I managed to get used to it. The level design is solid and it provides a smoothing learning curve. The game crashed once but it was somehow fixed after I restarted the game. I'm sure this small bug won't hurt the quality of the entire game. The concept is just beautiful, as well as the graphics and soundtrack. I LOVE the idea of summoning in the natural lifecycle. It is also thought-provoking in addition to its authentic value. Incredibly impressive for a solo-jam entry. Well done! |
| Apr 19 07:22:59 | 1h 56m | Polarity | ♥ 1 | I really like the design where players can play the game with one single button. Solid gameplay, clear visuals and a rhythmic soundtrack. Together these make it a small but polished game. Nice entry! |
| Apr 19 08:59:51 | 1h 36m | Super Pal Summoner! | ♥ 3 | Really cute! I love the cats. 🐈 The puzzle is really strategic. Nice entry! 🎊 I want to share my strategy here. It might no be the best but it is stable. QQ截图20240419164722.png We can prove that the pigs cannot play infinitely, since one can never have a new green pig next to an existing green pig (because the opposite block must be pink and purple at the same time, which is impossible). And we have the strategy to play cats and ducks infinitely, within limited area. It might not be the smallest area though. Then we can save all the other blocks for pigs, and try our best to delay the unavoidable pig-end. XD |
| Apr 20 10:24:08 | 25h 24m | Crystalline | ♥ 2 | Wow this game is great! Smooth control, solid level design and a rhythmic soundtrack. Unlike some mentioned above, I went through most of the level smoothly. The point was that the crystals won't explode if there is no enemy within a specific range. This mechanics wasn't introduced to players explicitly. Well that's only a small problem. A really polished entry! Almost perfect for a jam game. Good job! |
| Apr 22 05:31:26 | 43h 07m | Star Stone | ♥ 1 | I like the artstyle and the design of the rune. The effect of the crows was also satisfying. When it comes to the gameplay, it was nice to such a game with smooth control. There was some small problems about horizontal collision but it doesn't matter. I like the mechanics that you can still jump twice after falling off a platform, which felt like a coyote jump. Nice entry for you first jam! Well done! |
| Apr 22 06:32:10 | 1h 00m | Summoner's Stand | ♥ 1 | The gameplay is really solid. It is rare to see a tactic-card-hybrid game in a compo game, no to say a game with solid implementation. As some mentioned above, it might be a little unclear about the mechanics of ranged units. It tried to find out which Sylph was the source of the [-5] because I thought the target priority might be relatived to where it was. Well that's only a small problem. Impressive work after all! |
| Apr 22 06:48:17 | 16m 07s | Summoner's Delight | ♥ 2 | Really stylish and innovative. The soundtrack also added to the atomosphere. Also, why did they order burnt chicken! XD Well-polished entry for a jam game! Nice work! |
