| Jan 9 14:06:14 | Last Harvest | ♥ 1 | Neat game, I wish there were more levels! Reminds me of Creeper World. Audio was nice. A little unclear how to choose what to build (a little rollover effect would have solved that completely, I bet), and when selecting the person, I was surprised to not see a person placed down, but once I figured that all out, it was good (although I had enough money to just build over and place a harvester next to the bluegrass and win without building a turret, so had to try it again to see what the turrets felt like ^_^). | |
| Jan 10 04:25:45 | 14h 19m | Squirrelativity | ♥ 1 | Really cute, I just adore the graphics, and animations for the trees are great (was that lots of sprites, or something procedural?). Audio also is just perfect. Puzzle was really neat and not something I'd player before. Progression was really great, I both felt like I was getting significantly better, and the levels were getting harder =). Had the most trouble on level 12. It also seemed that it produced the most flowers when I finished it, are those related or am I seeing connections where none exist O.o? The only thing that sometimes bugged me was that I would try to start dragging while a previous growth was going on, and it wouldn't always work. I seemed to usually draw a line, release the mouse, then try to draw another line (instead of doing a full drag with a bend all at once), and some percentage of time I was too quick and it didn't work -_-. |
| Jan 10 05:03:54 | 38m 09s | Flower Farmer | ♥ 0 | Pretty neat! I couldn't figure out if there was much strategy in the breeding, I seemed to just combing my best flower with itself over and over and keep the best result, but that didn't seem particularly effective. I think I don't understand genetics =). Sell all would have been _really_ nice, I had to stop playing, mouse button finger getting sore ^_^. |
| Jan 14 15:27:22 | 106h 23m | Hyper Harvest | ♥ 1 | That was fun! Ended kind of suddenly, I necessarily used up all of my wastes in a matter of seconds, would have been nice if there was some balancing factor there - a little slow-down, or board gets shifted by ~4 lines, just something to catch a breather =). | Jan 14 17:05:25 | 1h 38m | Harvestris | ♥ 1 | The WebGL version, both at the default embedded view (set to 900x600 - easy fix to set this to , presumably, a 16:9 aspect? Manually tweaking it in the .html seems to work, if nothing else ^\_^) and full screen (2560x1600 monitor here, 16:10 aspect) are getting the sides of the screen cut off, making it hard to read the text. Screenshot 2023-01-14 084955.png Really neat idea, took a couple clicks before I got the hang of it, managed to get a decent score on my third try =). The feedback and telegraphing which numbers would be affected on a click was really nice (and critical to usability ^\_^). I would have liked a little more clear feeling of what my current "block" was - the glowing overlay icons were too hard to read / too inconsistent. Often I'd found myself rotating and being unclear which direction it was rotating (guess the one direction I could rotate was the opposite of what my brain expected ^\_^), and lost track of which color was where. Maybe showing the "block" off to the side of the board, in big solid colors, would have helped, or maybe if the colored outline of the selected blocks weren't blinking, but just constantly solid. Nice music, and the background art is nice too! Screenshot 2023-01-14 090543.png |
| Jan 14 17:34:52 | 29m 27s | Endless Harvest | ♥ 1 | Neat game! Everything made sense to me, though I found myself mostly ignoring the effect cards, and just conservatively planting seeds when it was safe to do so... got to 100 money on turn 78 and called it a win ;). Maybe having a win condition would have been good, or a guaranteed lose condition (damage numbers go up by 1 every 25 turns or something, would also disincentivize just passing a bunch to get cards). |
| Jan 14 18:06:25 | 31m 33s | The Search for The Golden Crown Plant | ♥ 1 | What a game! I managed to become the king of all plants. I really love the audio and art and visuals tying it all together, nice job, team! Took me forever to get a Gemelon, I guess because things kept getting cross-pollinated from whatever I had just harvested or something, I managed to miss that particular combo twice (but concluded from how the Hattermelon was made, that it _had_ to be that combo, so tried it a 3rd time and it worked ^_^). Maybe a little game-y feedback on what pollen the bee currently had would have saved some headache there. |
| Jan 14 19:43:21 | 1h 36m | Worm Harvester 3 | ♥ 1 | Pretty cool! Lots of different systems all working together. I would have liked an easier way to launch all of my worms, or seeing which ones were already out, I spent too much time clicking at random, especially at the beginning where it was unclear that the worms were buttons. I liked all of the different worm descriptions, and the fact that the worms looked different when fighting in wormhalla. |
| Jan 14 20:09:19 | 25m 58s | Organ Trail | ♥ 1 | Really neat, and I feel like I learned some anatomy along the way! Some of the dialog made me laugh out loud, and I played through to the end. Occasionally I'd get hung up and thing an organ was ready to go when it wasn't (some little white blip hiding amongst a white highlight or something), and the penalty there felt a bit rough, and usually led to redoing the level, but otherwise felt pretty fun! Audio was also pretty great, and non-obtrusive. |
| Jan 14 21:15:00 | 1h 05m | Harester | ♥ 1 | Love the bunny, so cute! Died pretty unexpectedly, which didn't feel great, would have liked a little more warning. 10 carrots also seems like a lot... splitting it into 2 levels and just a couple carrots in the first level to get the hang of it woulda been really nice =). |
| Jan 21 03:26:50 | 150h 11m | You Versus The World | ♥ 1 | Pretty cool! It got a little repetitive so I stopped after 3 matches though. I don't think The Worlds managed to harvest a single thing, take that, world! When I clicked on the discard or draw pile something weird happened, maybe it was using the (unrevealed?) card in that spot, wasn't sure, but it ate up my action points doing so ^_^. I liked trying to figure out where I could put some area effect to help what I was going for without hurting other things too much - maybe it would have been more fun if _all_ of the cards were area target, no single target cards. |
| Jan 21 03:39:00 | 12m 10s | Cosmic Sweep | ♥ 2 | Love the look of the planets and of space! After collecting a bunch of trash I flew off into the great unknown, never to return. |
| Jan 21 03:44:10 | 5m 10s | Space Harvester | ♥ 0 | I like the visual style, it's pretty neat and distinctive. For some reason the controls seemed backwards (pressing A/left turns the ship right?!), which I could never get used to. My high score: 31000. |
| Jan 21 03:55:23 | 11m 13s | Space Harvest | ♥ 1 | Really cool! Graphics and audio tie everything together nicely. But, I'm confused, why am I _helping_ the bunnies? Who dares stand in the way of the Space Cats? It got a little tiresome clicking to harvest the carrots, would have liked one fewer iterations before getting automation (I probably should have used your cheat, but that felt like... cheating). I really enjoyed managing the sliders after that though =). |
| Jan 21 04:01:39 | 6m 16s | Harvest Moon | ♥ 0 | Either it's not "interactive", or I missed something. Neat story though, congrats on finishing it! |
| Jan 21 04:17:54 | 16m 15s | Your Harvest | ♥ 1 | That's just brilliant! Really nice sourcing of text to harvest =). |
| Jan 21 04:22:56 | 5m 02s | Salvage City | ♥ 1 | Really neat, the worm controls were a lot of fun. My final score: 65. Took me a while to figure out how to really get a good amount of air with the worm. |
| Jan 21 16:20:38 | 11h 57m | Wheat Master | ♥ 1 | Which to buy, something compels me to continue... ld52.png That was fun! The music was really great. Added a perfect chill atmosphere for the game. I liked that the automation helped, but I still felt inclined to do some clicking and cleanup. ld52-2.png Apparently I had one more upgrade... I figured that path continued forever ^_^. |
| Jan 21 16:26:48 | 6m 10s | Reap, Water, Sow | ♥ 0 | That's a neat idea. I like that I really felt the consequences of my doing well or poorly on the previous round. My score: 35. I would have liked a little better visual feedback on where the drone was (just a shadow dot underneath), I kind of got lost sometimes. Nice job! |
| Jan 21 16:50:46 | 23m 58s | Square Factory | ♥ 1 | Screenshot 2023-01-21 084809.png Wow, really enjoyed this. Music is fantastic, really sets the mood, and I found myself tapping my foot along with it =). I would have liked a way to sell back a factory, I took your advice and bought some factories to prevent them from eating my resources only to realize I was short 1 hexegaon to actually build the square factory, so got kind of stuck, had to way overproduce =). Was fun anyway. |
| Jan 21 16:58:36 | 7m 50s | Power Spud Harvest | ♥ 1 | Neat little game. My high score: 29000. I rarely survived the faster beetles, and often killed one of them at the same time they killed me, not sure if that felt like a bug, or a glorious death ^\_^. I would have liked it if the bullets collision was a little smaller, seemed to often get stuck on a little bit of dirt (or, destroy the dirt with the bullets ^\_^). |
| Jan 21 17:04:13 | 5m 37s | Desert Harvest | ♥ 1 | _The spice must flow_. My score: 165! Neat game. I would have liked a little more to do, but it was fun watching my harvesters run around. They often seemed to be pretty effective on their own, so maybe if I just flew faster compared to them it woulda helped. For some reason, I kept expecting a sandworm to pop up... |
| Jan 21 17:10:21 | 6m 08s | Wheat Run | ♥ 1 | My high score: 164. Oh my, I started getting motion sick about half way through that!. I really liked how it transitioned from "get all of the wheat" to "get as much wheat as possible without hitting anything" to "minimize incoming damage" =). |
| Jan 21 19:53:20 | 2h 42m | Techno Plants | ♥ 2 | Hmm, controls didn't work for me the first time I tried (after viewing the tutorial), had to refresh, and then controls seemed to work. When playing level 2, occasionally about 10 "Missed!" would stream up from my cursor (maybe I had pressed to move somewhere I shouldn't) instead of the regular 1, which quickly ended my run ^_^. Sweet music, and really nice polish overall, was fun! |
| Jan 29 05:15:34 | 177h 22m | Boba | ♥ 0 | That's an amazing game, and perhaps the most I've ever laughed from a Ludum Dare entry. Well deserved first place! |
