| May 2 02:18:20 | DreamLoom | ♥ 2 | Neat and relaxing game! I really enjoyed seeing the results of my handiwork =). Pretty frustrating, and a bit stressful, when you mess up and have to go back to the pattern though, I maybe would have played through 1 or 2 more patterns if I hadn't failed on the last row of the pattern I was on (made it through a half dozen or so though ^_^). | |
| May 2 12:43:20 | 10h 25m | Machine Meltdown | ♥ 2 | Wow, that's just gorgeous! Plays really nice on the controller too. After many, many tries, I was able to defeat the boss. The ending felt good too. I would have liked a little clearer feedback, I didn't notice I was taking damage from touching the boss until quite a long way into my session. Maybe I flashed or something, but was often obscured by an arm at the time so didn't really know what was going on, I guess. Sound was nice too! |
| May 2 12:51:35 | 8m 15s | Packing Panic! | ♥ 1 | Ooh, another game about moving shapes around, but between boxes instead of circles?! =) Pretty fun! I managed to get to level 5, score of 11600, felt good when I was in the zone. Despite that, on the end screen, it seemed to always say Score 10238, maybe a bug? Failure always seemed to spiral when I made one mistake, so I think I went from no misses to dead in half a second, maybe it would have been nice to have a little reprieve upon a miss (slow down just a tad, or until you correctly file away the one you missed or something). Also, I would have found it easier if O and P were swapped, but maybe that was an intentional choice for the QWOPness of it =). |
| May 3 00:31:33 | 11h 39m | Hat Game | ♥ 0 | This looks cool! Any chance of a Table Top Simulator mod or something for those of us without color (or any) printers? =) |
| May 3 00:45:40 | 14m 07s | Nightmaremaid | ♥ 1 | This looks pretty cool from the screenshots! Not sure if it works this way, but, any chance you can upload it to https://tic80.com/ or something similar so that we can just play it via web? You'll get many more people to play your game with a web version available =). |
| May 3 00:50:12 | 4m 32s | Mini Industries | ♥ 1 | I call this some green living. At least, for the one guy who lives across the bridge from the greenery... screenshot.png That was kind of fun. I love watching my town grow =) |
| May 3 01:13:33 | 23m 21s | The Pigeon Post Principle | ♥ 3 | Wow, fantastic game. Am I correct in reading your "Music: Ableton electric piano and alto sax" line, (and judging from the sound), in assuming that's a recording of an alto sax and not some synth that came out of Ableton? Either way, music sounds just fantastic. Animations and sprite work also really incredible. Every level was solid, and the difficulty curve was great, some of the last handful were really satisfying. And, boy, oh boy, was Undo a life saver =). Nice job! Also nice to see other custom JS engines and snappy load times ;). |
| May 4 00:02:41 | 22h 49m | Bundle Dumper: Florida Edition | ♥ 2 | Wow, that's exactly how I remember Florida from my last time there. My score: 9 minutes, 2 seconds. But, it was 9 minutes and 2 seconds full of fun and blood. My favorite two moments where when I got shot down, but the baby survived, and was successfully delivered, and when I was just flying along and clipped a drone and it turned the baby into a strawberry smoothly while I just kept on flying. Great entry! |
| May 4 00:08:50 | 6m 09s | Urgent Delivery | ♥ 0 | Nice music and theme interpretation! I had difficulty ever getting enough boxes in a truck to get any points at all -_-. |
| May 4 00:16:29 | 7m 39s | Space Cannon Delivery Service | ♥ 1 | That's pretty cool. I love the way the credits are integrated! I managed to get through to the end, had to rewind a few times, I'm really glad I could do that rather than having to start all the way over =). |
| May 4 00:28:30 | 12m 01s | Deliver letters... IN SPACE | ♥ 1 | My score: 348000. My best strategy seemed to be to just spam vowels between a couple promising looking consonants and see what happens =). I thought the game was really fun and chill until I realized it said "press enter to start" at the bottom ^_^. That was pretty fun, and feels original! I would have liked just a little bit of a breather so it wasn't so intense for so long. |
| May 6 21:18:34 | 68h 50m | Castaway Crates | ♥ 1 | That was fun! I laughed out loud more than a couple times before eventually making it off the island. My favorite moment was when I learned how to juggle in order to distract the vicious wild animals with my amazing juggling skills. Text was a little long, definitely suffered from what I assume must be ChatGPT's tendency to think everything needs an introduction summary, body, and conclusion ^_^. Were the problem statements also ChatGPT generated, or just the responses? Those seemed much better constructed (and less long). |
| May 6 21:53:07 | 34m 33s | AstroFreight | ♥ 1 | Pretty neat! I got about 700 points before I found myself and the Iron Maiden station and decided I should just stay there. I sometimes had control issues when bumping up against the nebulas, really hard to turn, although going backwards usually got me unstuck, if a bit tangled up =). The sound effects and music were really good, music didn't get annoying, which is high praise for a jam game =). |
| May 6 22:18:11 | 25m 04s | ROG LD53 - Relic Courier | ♥ 0 | Really solid entry! I love my dungeon crawlers =). Movement is nice and smooth, map works great. Combat was simple but surprisingly engaging, I wasn't sick of it by the end of it, and it always felt pretty fair. I managed to get all the way through to the end. |
| May 6 23:31:20 | 1h 13m | Otherworldly Delivery | ♥ 1 | That's really neat! I tried (at least?) 3 times to defeat the first door (only door?), but was unable to do so :(. I think all of the mechanics were pretty clear, with the exception that rage increased their damage (which I eventually figured out, in general, though never figured out the specifics) - it maybe woulda been nice if the cards said "does 10 * rage" damage or something in small text (if the math was anything that simple ^_^). I had fun though, wish I'd been able to beat at least one delivery! Really nice card names for actions in an argument =). |
| May 9 00:44:20 | 49h 13m | Packontra | ♥ 1 | That was really fun! I think you really captured the _Contra_ feel well. Ran into one bug where I had a package, dropped it right before it was out of time, then it disappeared, and the next package spawned with a 0 second timer on it, so it disappeared as soon as I picked it up. Screenshot 2023-05-08 174235.png |
| May 9 00:54:33 | 10m 13s | Airdrop | ♥ 1 | I started playing with gamepad, and it worked great, except that the d-pad didn't seem to change the speed. Other controls worked as advertised though. And, unfortunately, after playing though a bunch of levels with controller, it seems the keyboard didn't work (worked fine after a refresh, but space and arrows were just navigating the page, even after clicking back on the canvas). What I played (up until the moon) was pretty fantastic though, lots of interesting things to deliver to interesting people. |
| May 10 00:55:32 | 24h 00m | Temporal Messenger | ♥ 1 | I enjoyed that, nice writing =). I can't tell if my decisions actually had any effect or not though, it felt a bit just like watching a story than playing a game, but I enjoyed it anyway. |
| May 10 22:36:35 | 21h 41m | Volksdam | ♥ 1 | Cool game! There's some really nice graphics that I don't get to see because I'm staring so hard at the arrows =). I usually don't like rhythm-game kind of gameplay, but this felt wonderfully forgiving which made it a ton of fun. No spiral of death, just pick yourself back up and keep on biking =). Screenshot 2023-05-10 153344.png |
| May 10 22:44:45 | 8m 10s | Rogue, fluff & nuts | ♥ 1 | Neat game! My hand got sore hitting the same buttons over and over again, I would have liked to have a way to move quicker, just holding down a direction to keep moving would have been nice. I really liked the shortcut at the end, that helped finish up much quicker =). I managed to bake a cake! |
| May 10 22:57:55 | 13m 10s | Volcaninja | ♥ 1 | Cool game! The platforming felt pretty smooth, and lots of variety in the (admittedly very few) levels that I was able to see. Unfortunately a bit too difficult to me, and I got really sick of doing the exact same beginning of a level over and over again only to die at the same spot, but that's pretty par for the course for this kind of game -_-. It was great that there was controller input, it worked pretty well, but I kept finding myself wishing I could press A to jump (muscle memory, I guess) instead of needing to use a bumper. Music and sounds were nice, all fit very nicely together! |
| May 10 23:18:14 | 20m 19s | A Town in Labor | ♥ 1 | Really cool making this in a spreadsheet. Not having access to Excel I tried loading this in Google Docs, and it _seems_ to be mostly working, but I cannot complete the tutorial. I'm not sure if I'm missing something, or if it's just imported poorly. From what I can figure out, the _only_ cell that can deliver to all requisite homes is F6, and there's no value of birds at F6 that actually meets the requirements... am I missing something, or is it bugged? Screenshot 2023-05-10 161504.png Link (just for @evogengames to use for debugging) to it on Google Docs [here](https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/11SNJUySyrVW8OyR0JI20cJvpmvmqOV-itGfNkc3eL7o/edit?usp=sharing). (Edit: all other puzzles seemed completable, except I gave up on the last one, so maybe the Tutorial is just not completable?) |
| May 12 00:05:59 | 24h 47m | Ultimate Pigeon Post | ♥ 1 | Wow, really great game! Amazing graphics and audio too! Really cute cat, I'm glad that most of the levels were completable with minimal feline fatalities, although I had a bit of difficulty on a couple there =^.^=. |
| May 12 00:12:27 | 6m 28s | De-Livery: A Game About Organ Removal Surgery | ♥ 1 | I de-livered 6 livers. 5/5 for theme. Game length was just right, not a lot going on, so I'm glad it ended when it did =). I found it too easy, with the digital controls of the keyboard, to keep my grabbers perfectly in sync, it would have been nice if something affected that, like their movement randomly sped up or down a bit so that I had to pay a little attention to both hands or something. Nice audio and graphics. |
| May 15 22:02:45 | 93h 50m | Space Haulers Inc. | ♥ 1 | Screenshot 2023-05-15 145654.png Woo! That was really fun! Really felt like a lot of gameplay and depth, and everything felt pretty balanced. I figured out everything pretty quickly, only thing I kept getting a bit confused by was the cost to build rockets, since they only showed up in the tooltips, I had to keep looking. I would have liked those (and the factory in/outs) to be more accessible, maybe just replacing the cost to build the factory after it's done (though, then I'd complain it was hard to see which factories I hadn't built ^\_^)). Only other thing I wanted was a way to see where a specific ship was (so I knew if it was just finishing up a delivery, and I can repurpose it, or if it was just starting, etc), maybe just highlighting when mouse overing the ship list. This caused me to, perhaps, make more ships than I needed, but maybe that made for a more chill experience in the end =). Music wasn't much special, but didn't get annoying, which is pretty good, considering how long I spent tinkering in here =). I like that there is no failure condition, and I could just keep working on building the colonies. |
