Very nice gameplay loop. Could use some more mechanics but still is fun

castitatis 2023-05-01 02:54

The game was really difficult for me because I'm playing on an azerty keyboard XD

nice/gross sound effects :D

paroxysmal 2023-05-01 03:17

Good entry...certainly tests ones coordination with the keys.

A very solid entry! You found a unique mechanic and an even more unique interpretation of the theme. Naturally, the game is limited in its scope, but there is value in finding something small and doing it well. Keep up the great work :)

A very solid and unique game! I love how you took the theme and made it a pun, and then turned it into something unique and challenging. Really tests your dexterity, and I really like how morbid it all is, from the visuals to the sound design.

Amazing theme interpretation! I like the hand controls and the liver effects when you change its size.

sylf 2023-05-01 19:59

heeey, fellow pun-game creator! :D nice one, although I was panicking the whole time while I was playing.

dishwand 2023-05-02 01:44

the squashing & stretching of the liver is a lovely little facet of design (and made me laugh). got 3730 points. great work!

cosmo8 2023-05-02 01:44

Love the punny take on the theme! Pretty solid!

teejio 2023-05-02 02:02

We have the same name lol, gotta rate it good

adele-illustration 2023-05-02 09:11

The theme is very funny and the mechanics are interesting! It is super difficult though I don't know how anyone manages to de-liver more than one liver :D good job!

noskro 2023-05-02 10:01

First I just came here to support my fellow de-liver-er :D I have to say my first impression of the game was "that's it?". But then at lvl 3 it starts getting tricky that you have to deform the liver a bit and then the game gets fun (nothign against an easy level to get used to the controls). I dind't realize the timer until it ended the first time. That gives it a more challenging feel. Also I didn't spend too much attention to the text running at the top of the screen past the instructions. But I have a feeling I should spend a round reading all of it.

Edit: On my 3rd run I had a really difficult first level. Now I think I feel lucky that I had an easy start to get to learn the game. Not sure how I liked it to lose to the first level

zeantwan 2023-05-02 15:58

The pun alone did it for me, such a dumb and clever at the same time! Also super interesting gameplay with both hand having to be manipulated, I could definitely see that being played with a controller and two sticks! Nice one!

pdotjpg 2023-05-02 20:46

Haha, this is great. Love the pun, love the goofy writing scrolling across the top of the screen (no time to read it, though!) and the stretching and rotation of the liver is actually mechanically pretty interesting. Super cute little entry, great job!

helekopeter 2023-05-02 20:53

Took me way too long to realize I wasn't supposed to pick up the scissors or scalpels. Love the way the liver squishes. Good pun, good game.

advarsky 2023-05-02 20:54

It's the best iterpretation of the theme

cantthinkofaname 2023-05-03 05:54

Was very entertaining! Its a great interpretation of the theme, definitely innovative!

wouterk12 2023-05-03 09:37

Creative take on the theme. I didn't feel like the knifes and scissors did do me any harm, so I crossed the path by just moving over them. But now I get it and that's not how you get a high score haha The graphics are pretty cool and I like the stretch effect on the liver. Well done! :)

claybro2021 2023-05-04 02:47

This is really unique! The wasd/arrow key mix was really unexpected and was kind of mind-wrecking at first but I ended up really liking it. The stretchy liver and varied hand speed was an interesting mechanic to experiment with. Awesome game, there's a lot of cool things you could do with this mechanic.

vilius 2023-05-05 06:55

Haha, liver go shplfrgrtrt.

purpledartfrog 2023-05-05 18:22

Gross gross gross... nice and simple game loop .... I got a level though where it was literally impossible to get to the tray within touching the pointy thingys

Glad you decided on a semi stylized approach

Good job :thumbsup_tone1:

I was thinking about such interpretations too but more along the lines of removing or outlawing male servant uniforms... I loved the sounds and the graphics were need. It would have been more fun if there was obstacle or challenges while moving the liver. Perhaps the scalpels that were lying around could have been happily dancing and needed to be avoided. The liver could have had a bit of mind of it's own and the target tray could have been on a rickety cart that sometimes shifted position. Stuff along those lines.

Great break from all the usual deliveries though!

juutis 2023-05-06 13:27

Great interpretation of the theme! I love the stretching effect! Were the blades and stretching supposed to do anything, though? I got 490 points per delivery no matter how much I stretched the liver or touched the scalpels.

hakro 2023-05-08 22:28

Gross, but fun ! Nice entry, doesn't need much more than that. I liked your way of interpreting the theme as well, which is quite unique :id: Well done

brandon-campbell 2023-05-09 04:42

Really interesting and unique idea! I like it a lot. Music is great.

bitlytic 2023-05-11 21:20

At first I loved the game because of the pun, then I pulled out the first liver and heard the sound effects. 3 Seconds later I moved the hands too close together and the liver stretched across the entire screen and I received -4000 points.

10/10, I pay my taxes just like everyone else.

jimbly 2023-05-12 00:12

I de-livered 6 livers. 5/5 for theme. Game length was just right, not a lot going on, so I'm glad it ended when it did =). I found it too easy, with the digital controls of the keyboard, to keep my grabbers perfectly in sync, it would have been nice if something affected that, like their movement randomly sped up or down a bit so that I had to pay a little attention to both hands or something. Nice audio and graphics.
