| Oct 3 01:43:52 | The Curse of Household Chaos | ♥ 1 | Love the cheery and Stardew valley like aesthetics! Really polished for a compo game and surprisingly engaging with having to run around and attempting to optimize the perfect route to fix different things. One small thing is UI positioning of the task percentages on the right. It confused me for a couple runs, until I realized that meant its adding to the chaos on the top left. But great game! Would love to see more of something like this! | |
| Oct 3 01:57:04 | 13m 12s | By The Bullet | ♥ 1 | Like the clean and polished look of the UI integrated into the arena! It definitely takes a bit to learn how to think/shoot in reverse, but a fun exercise |
| Oct 3 02:36:16 | 39m 12s | ShipIt! | ♥ 2 | Fantastic stardew valley/animal crossing-esque game! Love the aesthetics and the amount of polish you gave to the game in such a short time! The animations are crisp but lively! Really had a smile on my face when playing this. If there's one feedback, it would be ability to rebind E/Space as the hotkey since I keep using the wrong key to do the action (E is often USE in FPS games). But love this! |
| Oct 3 02:47:14 | 10m 58s | Sprint10 | ♥ 1 | I'm pleasantly surprised by this! Really making me sweat every 10 seconds! This checkpoint/10 second system manages interest curve so well, make me yearn for that sub second finishes. Wish the difficulty curve was a little more gentle, so I feel like a bad ass robot ninja for longer. But really great job! |
| Oct 3 03:26:15 | 39m 01s | Yo, Listen! | ♥ 1 | I actually laughed out loud at what happened after breaking the barrel. Humor is dark, but fun! Really love the low poly low res aesthetics. You took a concept and executed on it very precisely in 48 hrs! Genuinely enjoyed playing the first few times, but would love an option to skip through the starting rant, since that does get quite tedious to playthrough. What's also great is it seemed like you had a lot of fun making this too! |
| Oct 3 03:56:43 | 30m 28s | Birdwatching | ♥ 4 | Someone took "The Bird is the word" very seriously. Haha very unique take on the jam! wish you layered the bird drawings so the wings would flap too. Could see this as a serious typing trainer. |
| Oct 3 04:08:04 | 11m 21s | SKY ROBOT QUANTUM ECHO | ♥ 1 | Great concept π Loved the quirky robot dialogues! Also here I was thinking this was the hardest physics game ever, before realizing you could move the robot with normal movement. But still had a lot of fun just trying to do timeloop rocket-jump/boost only platforming (maybe as a hardcore mode π ) |
| Oct 3 04:26:17 | 18m 13s | TchouTchou: the game | ♥ 1 | I love a good resource management game! Had fun with this one, though was confused about how resources updated until I played a few times (since theres delayed update), Think a tutorial mode would help a lot! Also could see this being expanded to managing more than one warehouse/train! |
| Oct 3 04:35:39 | 9m 22s | Asteroids: Driving Home | ♥ 1 | This is a masterpiece in setting the tone and mood! Sometimes you don't need crazy complex mechanics to be a breath of fresh air. Though the game is just asteroids, but its very nostalgic of a time where we use to sit in cars and play our gameboys! Just thinking about that gave me chills. Love the lofi beats too, I could use more games set to the backseat of this car! |
| Oct 3 04:44:22 | 8m 43s | The Game Ends | ♥ 2 | Here I thought this was just and exercise in spam clicking, and 5 minutes later I'm still playing the anti cookie clicker. Great spin on the genre with the time given! Wish I could see what this could've been with full 48 hr attention to it! Great effort in that last hurrah! echoing @haydads , you owe me a new mouse! |
| Oct 3 04:52:40 | 8m 18s | Jekyll and Hide | ♥ 3 | Clever naming and clever twist on hide and seek! Also very well done for 48hrs! Love the polished Gameboy-esque art! |
| Oct 3 05:46:35 | 53m 55s | Ten Paces | ♥ 1 | Honestly A well executed precision timing trainer! Got all the right juices to make the reveal at 10 second uber tense! Got all the way to the end and wished there was more! |
| Oct 3 06:11:08 | 24m 33s | Milkman | ♥ 1 | Actually quite enjoyed this one! I know its silly, but this just goes to show that a well executed interaction goes a long way. Super satisfying to throw milk at the customers and have them pick it up. I started experimenting with bouncing cartons at them! btw, I also found where they've been taking the milk...theres a spot on the hill where they're hoarding milk π» Anyways, would love to see more fleshed out full version of this! Good work! |
| Oct 3 06:18:19 | 7m 11s | Ten Till Doom | ♥ 1 | As a fan of card games, it reminds me a lot of fast paced Reign! Unique take on the theme, which I enjoyed. Love cards that have interesting strategy and tradeoffs such as soldiers (deal direct dmg or invest in long term catapults), but some other choices weren't as clear to me (e.g. engineer for blocking dmg vs gaining armor?) I could see this being fleshed out into a full version and I would buy it :) Also those are punny lore names haha |
| Oct 3 06:56:04 | 37m 45s | GameWhereYouRunAndShootThings | ♥ 1 | Cool concept! and ditto the above ^ the bowling balls chasing you was a pretty cool moment! And yea sound effects will help a lot. I didn't even realize I was taking damage at a few spots. Also want to see more varied obstacles! Also I wonder if the rogue-like choice box is popping up too often which breaks up the pace of the game a bit (maybe every other round would feel better?). Also big congrats on finishing your first compo LDJam! |
| Oct 3 18:20:18 | 11h 24m | Pandoraβs Box [WebGL/Win/Touch] | ♥ 1 | Love the art and concept of the game! Played all the way to the end (sub 90 second time! Would love a leaderboard!) Also really like the pacing of introducing one mechanic to the next between levels (sliding paint platforms the best). one small feedback is to have the controls be a little more forgiving? Like in Celeste, there's a grace mechanic to "vault" onto a platform's edge if you're very close to hitting to tip of it. Anyways, great entry! |
| Oct 3 18:31:28 | 11m 10s | WorldFlip | ♥ 2 | Great take on the theme! Reminds me of the time travel level in Titanfall 2! It was a lot of fun to bounce between the two worlds (great use of no-key doors!) I just wish there was more levels! One small feed back would be to make it clearer which direction the sword hits, since that took a while to figure out for me :) But good job! |
| Oct 3 18:41:59 | 10m 31s | Rock the Rule | ♥ 1 | Love the concept of progressive chaos in rule adding + the rules having a plus and minus that toggle every 10 seconds! Also great low poly art style, though I'm not sure why I'm an astronaut with a sword π Is there only one level? It just keep saying to "retry" even if I beat it! Also the web version doesn't seem to work, had to download the windows version (seeing many people have trouble on ldjam.com, maybe try hosting it on itch.io and linking it?) Anyways, would like to see more! |
| Oct 3 18:47:22 | 5m 23s | Pizza Time!!! | ♥ 3 | Hey there! Maybe I'm too early, but I don't see a way to play the game?π |
| Oct 3 19:10:17 | 22m 55s | The Time Tower | ♥ 1 | Hey There! This is one of the best entries I've played! Made me feel like a speedrunner playing this. Really polished and love the art style + tight control scheme! The sound effects were also on point, especially the pendulum thumps. The game is hard though! One small feedback is that the last jump section was way too close. 16 minutes later I made it all the way to the end π (also, noticed the total time included the "hour" mark, that would be too cruel!)Anyways, really great entry, you should be proud! |
| Oct 4 01:04:30 | 5h 54m | Hylee's Little Potion Shop | ♥ 3 | Love the art and aesthetics to the game! Has a very 3D Potioncraft feel to it! But the difficulty definitely spiked right at the beginning, trying to juggle both customers and these crystals that affect my movements! Ah also, very ambitious to do a crossover of another LDJam title π Great work anyways! |
| Oct 4 01:25:36 | 21m 06s | Shattering Star | ♥ 3 | Enjoyed this 1st person puzzle gem! Having to think about both space and time! Very ambitious 3D game for such a short time, and really good job to whoever did the haunting singing voice (did she do three songs?!). Though I'm not sure why shes singing in the space ship π |
| Oct 4 03:16:42 | 1h 51m | Undying Torch | ♥ 2 | Great entry! Very polished little platformer with a great mechanic! The lanterns were pretty clever but definitely spiked in difficulty! Also love the fire particle effects! |
| Oct 4 19:17:36 | 16h 00m | What's the rules? | ♥ 2 | Love the simple art + music! Reminds me of a wario ware game, but I could not for the life of me figure out the vegetables :( Also really appreciate the SFX sliders at the top! One small feedback is hoping that there's more time to figure things out, since 10 seconds is a bit tight especially the pin grabbing one! Great take on the theme though! |
| Oct 5 06:59:32 | 11h 41m | Sokobyo | ♥ 1 | Hey! Love the art style and take on classic sokoban! and the surprise zombie introduction on level 2 was a great touch! One small nitpick is I do find myself missing direct keyboard controls π But really great entry for a first compo game! |
| Oct 6 04:49:11 | 21h 49m | You Are Not Alone | ♥ 2 | Hey there! Love the concept and execution of the game from someone who also made a clone game π But the incredible polish you put into it can definitely be felt, especially the mood with the hauntedly broken space station. If theres one small feedback it would be taht I wish that the action ramped up more after each "jump"! but thats asking a lot of a 72 hr game. Anyways, really great work! |
| Oct 6 15:25:17 | 10h 36m | Cybermachine | ♥ 2 | Very ambitious game for a game jam! Really good polish on the lighting and first person animations, not easy to do in such a short time! Interesting gameplay that makes you switch between fighting and running away, but the randomness of the weapon felt a bit chaotic (maybe let player choose between 2 or 3 randoms instead?) Anyways great job on pulling this together! |
| Oct 7 01:49:03 | 10h 23m | Metal Muscle Mage | ♥ 2 | I would be lying if I said I didn't smile the entire time I was playing this! Reminds me of Sonic Undergrounds π€ Love the unique twist to the theme, music, and art! One feedback is the element type UI confused me a bit, but when I understood there were elements to the wizards attack, it all made sense π A really great entry! |
| Oct 7 02:11:27 | 22m 24s | Dragua | ♥ 1 | Hey there! Really enjoyed this entry, with the concept and setup. I was really immersed into this Balkan gardener that's trimming ever-growing weeds! The art is fantastic, and so is the music. Also really enjoy this "push your luck" mechanic where I have to go back and check on the base every now and then. I think my only nitpick is also around the choice of right shift as the "use key" since it kept triggering my sticky key as I was spamming it to cut the tendrils. Another feedback is around progression - I wish the treasure chests meant more (e.g. if I find another scythe maybe just buff my current one by a tiny bit? so its exciting to keep looting them). Anyways, these are all nitpicks though. This is a really great entry! |
| Oct 7 02:23:43 | 12m 16s | Potat-OS | ♥ 4 | Hey there! Really love your take on the theme and how you themed the itch.io page to the potato-OS! Have to give lots of props on the polish in a lot of the little details in art and even in soundtrack changes! My feedback is similar to others in that it took me a while to figure out the champagne one was keyboard controlled (since everything else was mouse only), and that it was super tricky to actually control! Also whats with the hate on ducks?! Overall one of my favorites from this jam, great work team! |
| Oct 7 02:39:08 | 15m 25s | Garden Slime | ♥ 1 | Hey there! What a breath of fresh air this entry brought! Just a chill vibe to do some slime watching π Great work on the art and sound, and enjoyed the fact you can play as one of the slimes! Also, does it make me a monster that these slimes made me hungry? I also have very similar feedback to some others--wishing to see more effects when events happen + have a clearer understanding on what the stats do. But those are nitpicks for a game jam entry -- a really chill but greatly done one! |
| Oct 7 02:47:14 | 8m 06s | 10 Seconds Ambush | ♥ 1 | Hahaha I really love the concept + humor in this! Just a simple bullet hell game execute very well. Love the chill music + fruits being thrown at you. And I thought the watermelon daggers were bad, then I realized the carrot daggers were personal! But I did it! survived.PNG And here I did the crazy impossible, but the horse was still MVP π Anyways, really great minigame entry! Thoroughly enjoyed it! |
| Oct 7 03:02:55 | 15m 41s | Kangaroo Court | ♥ 2 | Absolutely adore the idea and execution on the theme! I had a smile on my face the whole time playing this! Love the quirky characters and dialogues. And not sure if the cases are pre-written or procedurally generated, but laughed out loud at the Grand Theft Auto Koala grandama π While 10 seconds was very short, the game had a Papers Please way about it that really gave insight to a judge's POV! Only nitpick is the gavel taking a while to get used to, but otherwise really enjoyed the game! Great work! Oh and I learned a new phrase today - Kangaroo Court (noun)! |
| Oct 7 07:20:55 | 4h 18m | It's balling time | ♥ 1 | Hey great job polishing this to such a complete state in such a short time! Taking the classic pong and putting the theme's twist on it felt really exciting! One small feedback on teh visuals is for the "hit twice" block change visual to the "hit once" blocks so you know it needs one more hit, so its clearer what happened! But great job pulling this together! I like the name too! |
| Oct 13 17:58:20 | 154h 37m | Hungry foxie in wonderland | ♥ 1 | Hey! I liked the idea of a fox needing to be fed every 10 seconds! And really liked the pixel art + retro music, they fit quite well. The game was also engaging, when it worked (I had a few levels where the map doesn't have an entrance to the maze, and going around the maze takes too long that the fox dies βΉοΈ ) |
| Oct 13 19:52:35 | 1h 54m | Squared | ♥ 1 | Hey! Really love the concept and execution on the game! Very elegant approach to 10 second puzzles on the sides of a cube (puzzle style reminds me of the Witness a lot, in a good way!) The music also fits greatly into the setting. One small nitpick is how a few games are buggy (e.g. pipes counted as correct even when it wasn't connected; restart game button doesn't work). But with a little polish, could see this as a full fledge puzzle game. Great job and congrats on the first LDJam entry! |
| Oct 14 15:13:14 | 19h 20m | Kitten Space Opera | ♥ 1 | Hey! Very interesting concept and great polish on the game in such a short time! The dialogue really adds a lot to set the mood! One nitpick is just a little unclear when the calamity happens (I think theres a light flicker, but maybe a countdown might be nice?) But just nitpicking, great little gem for the jam! |
