Oct 6 03:26:02 The Forlorn House ♥ 0 Nice mood. Pretty intuitive to play. I liked the suspense of having to select the correct key. I did want to click to use the key, though, instead of press E, but that's a minor thing.
Oct 6 03:30:24 4m 22s Coffee Crisis ♥ 4 Just like in real life, nobody seemed happy with my service, but I made it through the day.
Oct 6 03:36:20 5m 56s Perfectly Balanced ♥ 1 Really solid entry! Well, polish wise. The mechanics were unstable, as befits the theme. :) Good work!
Oct 6 03:40:34 4m 14s Improbability Fighter ♥ 1 Really ambitious to make a NES game for a game jam! Interesting take on the theme. Only complaint is that I wasn't really sure exactly where the hitbox was for my ship/tree/block.
Oct 6 05:03:06 1h 22m Pop Shove-It ♥ 3 A full blown intro cinematic?! You guys are really raising the bar here, and then skidding across it. Really glad you rolled with this and didn't table the idea. VOD from when I played: https://www.twitch.tv/videos/1168721525?t=52m45s
Oct 6 21:57:11 16h 54m Solar Colonies ♥ 2 Quite an ambitious game for a game jam! Lots going on here. Didn't realize I could grab my colonists for a while. Wish I had a bit more time to mess around with it, but here's a VOD of me playing: https://www.twitch.tv/videos/1168514106?t=2h48m46s
Oct 6 23:43:53 1h 46m Snake Using Windows ♥ 1 Very clever idea! Interesting take on the theme. While the gameplay isn't new, the implementation is very innovative.
Oct 6 23:59:18 15m 25s Jingoku ♥ 1 I won 20 games. Amazing entry -- super polished with top quality sounds and transitions and stuff. This was like 10 game jams in 1!
Oct 7 00:46:47 47m 29s Frogmented World ♥ 1 Fun entry! Really enjoyed the puzzles.
Oct 7 01:01:04 14m 17s Apollo's Lab ♥ 0 Really nice entry! Great art! Fun style. Can't believe you had full (well, almost 😀) cinematics.
Oct 7 01:17:46 16m 42s Don't Cry at Work!! ♥ 0 Nice take on the theme. My browser was kind of hitchy or something, so the buttons didn't always register consistently. Sometimes they'd play the animation but not play the sound.
Oct 7 01:27:37 9m 51s Gunsundheit! ♥ 1 A fun take on the theme. Got a good chuckle out of the sun illustration.
Oct 7 01:48:27 20m 50s Orthoptera ♥ 1 Nice entry! Liked the sounds for jumping. Piano was a bit loud, though. Movement mechanics seemed really solid and intuitive.
Oct 7 02:16:08 27m 41s AFTER SUN ♥ 1 Nice graphics -- Really cool parallax effect. My main complaint is that the volume is LOUD. Like REALLY LOUD. I had to drop the volume of my entire web browser down to like 10%.
Oct 7 03:01:36 45m 28s Unstabled Goat ♥ 3 Really liked the graphics on this. Solid audio/visual entry. I was a little confused by the mechanics, though, especially since the camera didn't follow the goat.
Oct 7 03:23:58 22m 22s Wobble Waddle! ♥ 2 Really polished entry! Nice graphics, mechanics were simple to grasp, but it was a delicate balance to not overshoot or undershoot when flinging food around. Had fun!
Oct 7 15:51:57 12h 27m Wobble ♥ 1 Really polished entry! Loved the artwork and FX. Gave me Journey vibes.
Oct 7 17:15:56 1h 23m Unstable Tricky Table ♥ 1 Props for adding volume control. Fun take on the theme, and funny that I didn't know this existed when I made my game. 😁 https://www.twitch.tv/videos/1168514106?t=3h02m05s - here's the vod from when I played, in case you want to see it again.
Oct 7 17:30:17 14m 21s BALANCING ACT ♥ 4 VOD from when I played: https://www.twitch.tv/videos/1169455753?t=47m07s I think it would be cool if the destructible props actually impacted the stability, so you had to be careful of where you shot. That's how I thought it behaved initially.
Oct 7 19:43:27 2h 13m Fragile Payload ♥ 1 Sadly, my browser was a little hitchy, causing some extra instability making this a bit more difficult than it was designed to be. Still a great first entry!
Oct 8 01:42:52 5h 59m My First Chemistry Set ♥ 1 Some pretty clever puzzles in there. It seems simple at first, but I had to think about some of them for a while. Nice work!
Oct 8 02:00:51 17m 59s Router Runner ♥ 1 Fun entry -- got pretty chaotic the more you played and seemed fairly intuitive, though the movement was sometimes a bit weird when I tried to move at diagonals. Overall, a very nice entry that fit the theme!
Oct 8 02:36:32 35m 41s Rescue Mr. Penguin ♥ 1 Nice mood. Lots of content for a gamejam! Some interesting puzzles. Maybe not the strongest match for the theme, but still a cool (haha, get it) entry.
Oct 8 02:55:10 18m 38s Manicat ♥ 2 Well, this was chaos! Got to 145, but half of that was spent underground, then I ran off the map on the left side -- even the physics are unstable!
Oct 8 03:16:23 21m 13s Boat History ♥ 2 Really nice entry! I found the challenges to be fun and fair. Definitely fit the theme, as I was constantly tipping and dropping my boat. Suggestions if you extend this post LD: Try to make the art a little more consistent (like you have very different resolutions for various sprites right now) and add a volume slider with the default volume a bit lower. Really fun, though! That's the important part!
Oct 8 03:38:26 22m 03s RoughTrain ♥ 3 Super impressive entry! It's crazy that we get almost AAA quality games as jam entries! Almost a cinematic experience here. Some pretty nice sound design, too. Good work!
Oct 8 05:24:42 1h 46m Heavy Duty ♥ 0 Very nice pixelart graphics -- good looking character design. As you saw on the stream there were some minor quality of life issues, but those only really felt out of place since the visuals looked so polished.
Oct 9 00:04:31 18h 39m Baby Panda ♥ 0 Loved the art style. Decent fit for the theme. Might be nice to have a bit of a pause or a button you press after losing so you have more of a chance to see what your score was. I got over 40-something. :) Also, really difficult to stop it from rolling off the end. Physics seems to behave a bit weird there. Fun entry, though! I enjoyed it.
Oct 9 00:24:04 19m 33s Tall Order ♥ 2 Neat little game. I didn't feel particularly challenged most of the time. It might be cool to have a way to tilt the platter and have things be a little bit more chaotic, but I liked the concept. Nice work!
Oct 9 01:25:21 1h 01m The Forgotten World ♥ 1 Decent amount of content for the given time frame. I feel like maybe it's a little TOO close to the games you were inspired by, though. Might want to find ways to make it more unique.
Oct 9 04:24:09 2h 58m Unstable Shadow Trials ♥ 1 Interesting take on the theme. Ran into a game breaking glitch, but after the patch it seemed OK.
Oct 9 04:38:55 14m 46s Fantasy Quest ♥ 2 The problem with a game that has intentional bugs is that it's difficult to tell which bugs are SUPPOSED to be there and which ones are not. 😅
Oct 9 21:52:28 17h 13m Potion Commotion ♥ 2 10/10 for the fun factor on this one. I love momentum-based games! It was also entertaining to exploit the mechanics in ways that weren't really intended. Saved a clip, since we were all invested in this technique: https://clips.twitch.tv/AbrasiveCrispyPuppyANELE-9saHcooP4eardKR7
Oct 9 21:55:50 3m 22s Handle With Care ♥ 5 Really enjoyed this one -- had to give it a go after watching @vimlark struggle. 😁 Unfortunately, it doesn't stream well because it eats up all of your GPU by default, so even though it looks smooth, it's choppy on stream. For future jams, you might want to cap the FPS. Definitely fits the theme, and it's crazy how much the cargo shifting around really messes with your muscle memory. Here's the VOD (First game I played that day): https://www.twitch.tv/videos/1171333200
Oct 10 01:02:11 3h 06m Mech Mapper ♥ 1 Nice graphics, really groovy music, and I totally speedran that last challenge and completed it in like 2 seconds. I'll have to grab a clip later.
Oct 11 17:04:31 40h 02m Treacherous Tower ♥ 0 Had to come check out your game since you mentioned it being similar to what I did. Neat take on the theme! I did run into a bug at the end of the 2nd stage where it just didn't progress, though: trecherous tower bug.png
Oct 13 06:23:37 37h 19m LCD DREAM ESCALATOR ♥ 3 Glad you put the diagram on the page to show how everything was connected! Even with that, it took some effort to track everything down. Happy you had a nice outro/credits screen to make it all feel worthwhile, but I feel like it's a shame that many people probably won't play long enough to see and hear it. Some really groovy music. All in all, it was a memorable experience, and also inspirational. For a while, I've wanted to make a game that was very surreal visually, but I couldn't figure out quite what the gameplay would be. After playing this, I realized that simply exploring bizarre worlds and how they connect can be enjoyable. Oh, I did notice there was one world -- the one with the flying shrimp and lava(?) -- where you could fall off and not get reset, but that's pretty minor since you can reset by holding space. Thanks for the experience!
Oct 13 21:37:01 15h 13m UNTetris ♥ 1 Really polished entry! Graphics and music have a nice vibe to them. Would be interesting to have some more challenging levels as I went through what was there very quickly.
Oct 31 05:14:58 415h 37m Alteration ♥ 0 Love the pixel art in this! Wish I was able to check it out sooner.
