Oct 6 01:10:22 Burning Ravager ♥ 1 Damn, man. This looks awesome. Just the art would be impressive for 48 hours, and you packed all sorts of other stuff in, plus a huge map. I managed to find 4 gems before getting owned in a lava tube. Well done!
Oct 6 02:24:08 1h 13m Drillbit Junker ♥ 1 ss.png Maybe this is my Spaceteam prowess kicking in, but I'm pretty sure I could have kept going forever! It seems like whatever is supposed to make the speed go up isn't doing what it's supposed to. Fun game! I liked the little tasks; they felt satisfying. Cute graphics, too.
Oct 6 08:39:11 6h 15m Bob's Monday Morning ♥ 3 What in the world... Unique! I did manage to get the cutscene with the cat, enjoyed that. Otherwise, I was really hurting for more feedback! Grabbed four pieces of clothing and couldn't figure out if I was doing well or what. Liked the grass skirt, too. That's a good look, Bob.
Oct 6 08:46:11 7m 00s DUNGEON ECONOMY ♥ 1 Obligatory screenshot: ss.png Great idea! What a fantastic extension of inventory management. I found the controls pretty fiddly, and encountered some bugs where inventory items overlapped or couldn't be interacted with. And was I missing where my money was shown on screen? All in all, glad I gave it a shot.
Oct 6 08:50:59 4m 48s Turrim ♥ 4 My time with Tricky Towers definitely prepared me for this one. Appreciated the two types of movement — I think you could have made the hitboxes just a little smaller than the grid, since weird rounding errors caused adjacent blocks to sometimes barely touch and sometimes barely not.
Oct 7 04:02:38 19h 11m MIFFED ♥ 2 Love that tune, sounds like a Motoi Sakuraba jam! Fun graphics as well. I just can't say no to cutscenes in an LD game.
Oct 7 04:20:36 17m 58s Totally Stable Alchemy ♥ 1 I also had some trouble figuring out what the potions did, ultimately. I think a little feedback would have gone a long way, or maybe a hint here or there? I like the idea of brewing potions, though. Always been my favorite magical pursuit.
Oct 7 04:35:23 14m 47s Hellbamb ♥ 2 Loved seeing those pearly gates tumble down, very funny.
Oct 7 04:45:31 10m 08s Unstable Load ♥ 1 Hey, great voiceover! Would have loved to be able to hold the mouse button down instead of rapid clicking, felt like I was getting carpal tunnel towards the end there... cool idea having the enemies' debris damage each other. Definitely took it that next step towards satisfying the theme.
Oct 7 04:55:24 9m 53s Waiter, please! ♥ 1 Cute artstyle and handwriting, and cool 2D-center-of-gravity concept! Dragging the drinks rather than clicking to pick up and drop would probably have helped with the feeling of grabbing and serving them.
Oct 8 00:53:07 19h 57m Radish Kid Ascension ♥ 1 RIP Radish Family... Very cool! The layout of the map kinda made it look like that top island was the target, took me a while to figure out where the little guy was trying to get.
Oct 9 01:54:15 25h 01m The Eye of Glower-On ♥ 1 Filthy bobbitses... nicely done! I had a little trouble figuring out how powerful Tremor was supposed to be. Sometimes it seemed to kill elves and dwarves in one hit, sometimes three. Is it less powerful when they're mid jump, something like that?
Oct 9 07:52:49 5h 58m Natura Disastia ♥ 1 Always love seeing an original combat system. Agree with others about turns being a little overlong. More of a back and forth would have made it feel more snappy. Allowing rotation of the spirits would have been cool too.
Oct 9 07:59:01 6m 12s Un-Stabled ♥ 3 Man, no way were those sheep going in those portals. It just wasn't gonna happen. Appreciated the fun, no-holds-barred soundscape and particles. A proper jam game.
Oct 9 08:07:12 8m 11s The Ruins of Cuglatr 2 ♥ 1 Dang, that's a lot of writing in 48 hours! When I tried a narrative game a few Ludum Dares ago, I didn't manage nearly that much. Well done!
Oct 9 08:15:16 8m 04s A Hard Pill to Swallow ♥ 1 Managed it in 54! The capsule shape made it feel pretty different from your usual minigolf game, plus whatever strange in-air deceleration was going on. While the capsule bouncing was fun, it did make it feel more random, and really incentivized going for more holes in one. A few more concave resting places might have helped with that?
Oct 9 08:26:39 11m 23s Euro Drunk Simulator ♥ 3 Obligatory victory screen: ss.jpg I embraced AZERTY like a true Euro Drunk! Ending scared the shit out of me and then made me laugh. Didn't run into the framerate issues others did, no idea why. I certainly don't have a 3090...
Oct 9 08:35:12 8m 33s Vive la révolution ♥ 1 Obligatory victory screenshot: ss.png I thought I was done for when a bunch of police appeared out of nowhere right next to the dome, but I managed to spam right click the building and won with 2 units left. Molotovs OP!
Oct 9 10:16:56 1h 41m Chickie Catchers ♥ 1 Dang, that winter level is hard! I think the single-player mode works better than you describe. Some of the best SFX around, and obviously the art is super cute as well. Great job!
Oct 10 07:12:25 20h 55m The Rubeus Cradle ♥ 0 I managed two berries, pretty good I think! I could probably get up to 5, but after all that time with PS1 Hagrid I think it's time to lie down.
Oct 10 07:29:30 17m 05s Drillte ♥ 1 Neat! The ideas are great; most of the issues people are mentioning stem only from the generation. I saw giant asteroids with no chunks in them, I saw all-blue asteroids that gave me 15 points in one go, I flew thirty seconds without seeing anything... if things were just a little more uniform it would go a long way. Carving up the asteroids feels smooth, all while trying to keep your bearings. I enjoyed!
Oct 10 07:59:23 29m 53s Unscrambler ♥ 1 Managed to get 3rd — always love a leaderboard for a jam game! The best strategy I could come up with was to compress the letters down as much as I could, avoiding nasty letter pairs where possible, which left a more reasonable trial-and-error space to mess around in. It's definitely hard, but letters getting stuck together within symbols was a nice twist on the word jumble puzzle.
Oct 10 08:05:25 6m 02s Ruff Tuff Skies ♥ 1 Agh, me poor clickin' finger... D: Super cute, loved the look and the take on the theme. Appreciated all the different enemy types, too. Just a slightly different control scheme and spawn behavior would polish this up nicely. Great work, you two!
Oct 13 01:26:32 65h 21m Love will Prevail ♥ 1 Superb, really impressed by this one. Love how the paintings are incorporated into the static scene. The snippets from the journal are stylish and strong. Even the music is evocative, and the sound effects pleasantly chunky. Not many jam games are this transporting.
Oct 13 06:20:15 4h 53m Unstable Potions ♥ 0 Agh, I couldn't even figure out the first one after a dozen or so attempts... I liked the art for all the ingredients, and the descriptions were fun, I guess they just weren't specific or easy enough.
Oct 20 06:14:12 167h 53m when the earth falters ♥ 1 I was surprised to be defeated by the last puzzle! I was always one operation short. Cool idea! Very much in the vein of many of my favorite games. Would have loved to see just one more mechanic in there, to elaborate beyond just moving around, but such is the compo. Turbo mode was just enough to let you design some interesting puzzles. Nice job!
