The sprite art here is really nice and fluid, and the movement system for the rocket feels real floaty and nice. The drilling system for the asteroids are also real well done, and the gameplay mechanic of dragging asteroids into the star to prevent destruction is real enjoyable.
Awesome work! The gameplay is very smooth and satisfying. Especially the cutting mechanic! Got a highscore of just 7, i am sure a lot of you will beat this. Make the two digits real!
The one thing I would maybe add to this is some kind of indicator where the nearest astroid is located.
Really nice! Cutting up the asteroids was really fun, slinging them felt good. The sun indicator was helpful, agree it might help to have something to make it easier to find the nearest rock.
I agree with the above, I spent a lot of time floating in space looking for asteroids. I also had a run end abruptly because a stray asteroid loaded with red chunks flew into the star and drained the time. I think it would be a neat balance mechanic if the red chunks also gave points, so you could score big but only if you could offset it by collecting green time-raising chunks too. Kinda like a risk-reward thing.
But the drilling mechanic is so fun to use, and flinging a big hunk of green/blue asteroid into it is immensely satisfying. I especially appreciate the camera rotating with the asteroid once you start drilling into it. I played this a bunch and got a high score of around 12. I think this might be my favorite so far! Also that background is simple yet gorgeous...
Great art, great game feel, and neat little gameplay loop. In fact, controlling the ship felt great overall. Loved flying it around, drilling was great (particularly love how it slowed down to not only make it feel like you were drilling, but also giving the player better control when it needed to be detailed), and dragging around was a pain but in a good way. Also props to whoever was able to make ropes work that well in a 2d game.

I really like the concept and the controls are pretty intuitive. I do think the time is a bit short, it would be nice to be able to carve up rocks and push them in the sun a bit longer.

Oh wow I love the feel of this game! The drilling and cutting of the asteroids is satisfying and the controls are smooth. The indicator for the sun is also a nice touch! A small tweak I'd like would be to have a longer duration for the timer so I can play longer :p
One of the games I did not regret downloading! I was still trying to beat my high score after 30 minutes and the visuals and feeling I get while playing this is just really nice and polished. I like the challenging constraint of prioritizing getting green over blue or vice versa, and then the high risk high reward of dragging a giant (or selectively trimmed out) asteroid and flinging it into the sun in hopes to save time felt awesome. A complete 10/10 from me, the only thing I could possibly suggest is maybe the requirement that the player has dragged/grabbed/touched a given asteroid at least once to prevent issues like a giant red filled asteroid spawning a wee bit too close to the sun, but that's part of it being unstable in a way!
Also looking to see people beat my record :point_right: :point_right: HighScore.png

A really nice entry! The idea is really great, and the core arcade-y loop is quite addictive. All of the mechanics work great - the flying, the drilling and the dragging are all well executed. I found some of the controls to be a bit finickity at times, especially when dragging larger rocks - I thought the rope was just a little bit too bouncy - instead of just slowing you down it flung you all over the place. Having some way of knowing where asteroids are would be nice as well, I felt a few games I just lost because I couldn't find any green asteroids, which felt like no fault of my own. Overall though, a really really good entry - the graphics and music really fit the feeling!

Even though it is a bit lacks on audio, The gameplay feels very nice and the concept is solid! amazing work!!
Wow great job! I got a score of 10. Really tough, but got a hang of it after a while. The controls are great, overall atmosphere is great too. It's so satisfying to drill through those asteroids and drag them around. One of my favorites so far!

Definitely pretty tough. Found myself frequently wishing I had some indicator of where I could find asteroids to cut up, just kinda lost in space for much of the time. Perhaps an indicator like the one for the star while you're dragging. If not currently dragging show - indicators for the ones closest to you that grow as you approach.

Neat! The ideas are great; most of the issues people are mentioning stem only from the generation. I saw giant asteroids with no chunks in them, I saw all-blue asteroids that gave me 15 points in one go, I flew thirty seconds without seeing anything... if things were just a little more uniform it would go a long way. Carving up the asteroids feels smooth, all while trying to keep your bearings. I enjoyed!
