The game looks really good. Solid art direction and the implementation in the game in addition to the particle effects is super nice. Bullet hell with a bouncing around sword is really fun!
Great art, great game feel, and neat little gameplay loop. In fact, controlling the ship felt great overall. Loved flying it around, drilling was great (particularly love how it slowed down to not only make it feel like you were drilling, but also giving the player better control when it needed to be detailed), and dragging around was a pain but in a good way. Also props to whoever was able to make ropes work that well in a 2d game.
Very cute, simple, and clever puzzle game. Fits the theme perfectly and executed well. Great gameplay loop.
Art and Music were really good! Though the animations felt a bit weird to me, I thought that the movement felt good and was intuitive. Even if it was on the slow side.
I love the art! The whole project is really cool. At first I was a little skeptical of the concept, but the challenge of managing the three mana orbs while utilizing them was really interesting. Cool idea and great execution.
Thank you for the kind words so far everyone! The feedback has been excellent as well. @uraffululz The browser version can be a bit big, but I thought I hit a sweet spot. I can fix that up to allow for more people to play in browser if you can give me some details on how much bigger it was than your screen. Also, in hindsight, definitely should have put in something to count planets that are off screen for a certain amount of time as knocked out :/. Live and learn haha
@uraffululz Thank you for that info! Sorry for the delayed response. I'm going to see if I can make it a bit smaller in browser. Though, it may fuzzy up the art a bit. Will see what I can do though!
And for sure should have done that with the planets. Though to stay in the spirit of the jam, I won't be making that adjustment.
Really silly, fun game! I do enjoy it when a game is frustrating to control but in an enjoyable way such at is here. Solid gameplay loop with really suiting and fantastic art direction!
Cute game! I love the concept behind it. The controls for the click and drag felt a little unintuitive. Maybe some visual feedback could be good there, like a line or arrow showing where you are hoping your instructions are sending the puppies. Great job, and sick work for your first game maker game!
